"The most important things are the hardest to say-Stephen King(The Body)"

MISSY POV.

My ears had endured a lot more yelling than necessary the night before, so it didn't surprise me none when I awoke with a pounding headache. I'm not as pissed off as I was last night about the whole 'STAR' thing, though I was slightly confused about the subject I have decided to live my nights like it never happened.. I want to push everything in the past and start over, a clean slate with everyone. I guess I'm not understanding Mike's point of view on 'matehood' and why he choose to be so over protective of me.. But in a way it hurts that he wouldn't believe me when I told him it was true. It feels true, and I know it's true.. It must be, I've been having the dreams since I can remember.

It's not my fault it was apart of Max's plan to lie to Mike, saying this Star girl was his mate. I do feel terribly bad for him that he had to go through that without really having anyone to talk too; though he could have picked up the phone and called me.. But maybe I wouldn't have understood at the time.

Pausing for a moment as I stood next to the door, I peered inside of the Sammy's bedroom to where he was happily reading a comic book. I didn't understand his obsession, though I know those things aren't so bad. I just didn't like to see him reading the ones about 'killing vampires' it made me think he had a plan in his head that he was gathering information to hatch. He is a smart kid, but all vampire can read minds.. So I don't think he'd be able to pull anything that big off.

And honestly; he looks happy, if only it weren't for all of the drama involved.

Grinning to myself I pulled the door closed and stepped out of the hotel room, finding my way through the winding halls and down to the lobby. David had recently gone out to feed, so I was more than free to roam wherever I pleased without him asking any questions. Not only was he becoming much more protective, the guy was really possessive. But I have no room to talk, he can't breath without me asking him why.. I guess that's just the bond we have, sometimes annoying; but needed.

As soon as I hit the streets I began to run to the nearest phone booth in sight; the same one as before if I remember correctly. David had been gone for about a half an hour, so I have just about that to finish what's been starting with Mike. I step into the brightly lit booth and toss my coins in the hole before dialing Mike's number.. Shivering whilst listening to the eerie ringing in my ear.

I felt like some character out of horror movie, just waiting to be killed. I was that dumb blonde who took all the wrong steps that led into her timeless death; shit.. I really hope this is real. What if I wake up and this all just a dream? Normally I wouldn't have the balls to do this without anyone knowing, but I've done it before. And who's gonna stop me now?

Too many questions.. All needing answers.

"Hello?" His deep voice filled the receiver making my stomach flip. I was talking to him.. I was litterally talking to him.. How could this be? It was to good to be true!

Mike answered the phone..

There must be a damn reason why.
