TinkerBell and the Spirits
Chapter 3: Surprise!
Two more days went by without a trace of the Queen, and the ministers were preparing to attempt the first day of spring without her. It was tense in Pixie Hollow those few days. Word spread quickly about her absence and there were some fairies that had gone nuts.
To add to that, there were Sparrow Men in uniforms patrolling pretty much every inch of Pixie Hollow. Any sign of something out of the normal, and they would go crazy. Most of the guards were set up around the Hollow tree, just in case Winda attempted to attack the tree first instead of the citizens. The army was once again built up and ready to battle when, and if necessary.
The poor Tinker-Talents were swamped with projects now that their army needed weapons. Alynna asked if she could help, but none of them seemed to favor that idea much at all.
The few remaining days seemed to be weeks long, but the day finally came and they would have to do this important task without their queen. This frightened most fairies, some even insisted on staying in the Hollow.
The last of the bins were loaded onto the birds and the Minister gave the "ok" sign signaling the start of their journey to the mainland.

"Hahaaaaaaa!" Winda gave an evil, amused cackle as she looked at the projection in her jar of green powder.
"They don't suspect a thing!" the vibrating powder along with the projection suddenly dropped as she turned away to look at her spell book one more time. The book closed with a loud "THWAP!" as she stuffed it into her never-ending pocket.
Clever she was. She had made all sorts of spells that made things easy for her. These spells also gave her an advantage in the upcoming war. She knew that her rival army had an advantage too, but she was completely oblivious of their other advantage; an advantage that the fairies of Pixie Hollow had no clue they even had.

"You ready?" Tink asked as her and Alynna spun around Big Ben. Down, down to the ground they dropped and landed in a nearby park.
Though small it was, TinkerBell new that in a minute it would be bursting with life you would never expect to be crammed in such a small place. Snow covered every inch of the ground, the little stream flowing through the park was frozen, and little lace-like snowflakes were steadily drifting down.
"Why are we waiting? Let's go." Alynna whispered, tugging on Tink's arm.
"Wait. Watch," Tink said as all of the fairies began their work, drying the ground, unfreezing the lake, and planting the little flower buds that would soon be beautiful, big, bright flowers.
"Wow," Alynna spoke under her breath. It was breath-taking, watching the once white and pale blue earth around her turn into a rainbow of beautiful colors.
It was a truly amazing sight.

Danny Fenton stretched, finally getting off of the plane. It had been a ten hour flight from Utah to England and he was ready to get up and move. It felt weird not having to worry about Skulker, but it was a good kind of weird feeling.
His parents were super pumped about the huge ghost convention they would be attending the next day, in fact, a little too pumped. Jack Fenton had yelled to complete strangers about how excited he was. It took about five cookies each few times to shut him up, but eventually they got to their hotel room without being bombarded by the airport security, though they had come close to meeting them several times.
Danny dropped his suitcase on the wall next to the window and flopped onto the bed. He sat up and looked out the window and couldn't help but stare for a few minutes.
It was a beautiful view with all of the bustling roads and streets, and, in the center of it all stood Big Ben itself. One of its enormous clocks was facing the window. It was now six- thirty and the sun was beginning to set, casting a huge shadow on the street below.
The sunset was the best he had ever seen, with beautifully bright shades of yellow, pink and purple. The few clouds drifting through the sky appeared to look like pink fluffs of cotton candy.
"Wow," Jazmine said, standing behind her brother.
It was a truly amazing sight.

It was now five-thirty in the morning, and Danny had woken up. He had troubles going back to sleep and decided to take a flight around England and see the rest of the town.
Making sure his family was asleep, he flew through the window up to a ledge and transformed. The bright blue rings split and moved up to his head and down to his feet changing him from Danny Fenton to Danny Phantom.
He jumped off as if he were skydiving and then shot up and took flight. He circled Big Ben a few times then landed on the very top to look down at all the city. It looked even prettier at night from up there. All of the twinkling lights from the old fashioned cars and the lights in the buildings made the city sparkle.
One certain twinkle caught his eye the best though. It was a rather random twinkle of light though. He looked off in the direction of the light and was met by thousands of them, twinkling and blinking in and out of sight. They seemed to be coming toward him, so he turned invisible and got up. As the lights got closer, he could see a glowing yellow trail behind the lights along with birds here and there. The objects' trails were the color of powdered gold and were steadily increasing in number. The lights finally swooped down around the tower he was standing on and circled the enormous luminary.
Danny flew up and dived into the stream of lights, still invisible and now intangible just in case one of the birds would jerk to the side. When he finally got to a good group of the lights to stick with, he looked to the side. What he saw nearly made him loose his invisibility. The lights were tiny humans with wings. He looked over to the other side and noticed a rather peculiar one.
This one was wearing a purple outfit that appeared to be made of leaves (with this discovery he noticed that all of their clothes looked like leaves) but what really made her stand out was that her trail was not the glowing yellow that the others had, but a mixture of the yellow and a bright green that reminded him of ectoplasm. As he looked closer, he noticed that the tip of her hair was an aqua color.
The fairies suddenly jerked up and sent Danny struggling to keep up. They made lots of confusing twists and turns and finally they started to land one by one on a snow covered place in what appeared to be a park.
He now got a good look at all of the fairies. There had to be a thousand of them in that one place, but why that one place? He was tempted to ask them what they were doing, but thought better of it and shut his mouth.
There was one fairy that seemed to be taller than the rest that was wearing an outfit made of millions of different flower petals that reminded him of spring, though he had to try hard not to laugh when he got a look at the fairy's face and noticed in was a man.
He heard a couple of twinkling bells that seemed to be in sync with his hand gestures, then one final, louder twinkle that apparently was the signal for all of the fairies to start their job.
He watched as all of the fairies flew in different directions, not exactly hiding like he thought they would. When he noticed what they were doing (which took him a while to realize), he forgot about his invisibility and intangibility and gazed at the "jobs" that the little fairies had. Some were leading flower buds into holes in the ground, some were skating across the little stream defrosting it, and others were flying around to little holes in the ground that led to the homes of squirrels, rabbits, and the occasional snake.
All of them seemed to have a purpose, except two of them who were standing off to the side. One of them, a blond-haired girl with a green dress, looked like she had seen this before while the other one, the odd-ball in the purple outfit, was gaping at it all.
Danny looked at the two for a little while, expecting them to suddenly fly up and start doing their job, but that never happened. Instead the blond one looked over at him and did a double take, looking at him with a horror-stricken face. Danny looked at her in a weird way, then looked at his hands with a worried expression. He was just now noticing that he wasn't invisible anymore, and it was too late because, by now, all of the fairies were looking at him in horror. He was paralyzed and so were they. All of them, that is, except the odd-ball, whose face was filled with joy.
She seemed to tell her friend something then started to fly up to him at incredible speeds. Her friend jumped out to grab her, but failed and fell on her face in the one patch of snow that was left.
The odd-ball flew right into Danny's face and started speaking rapidly, but all he heard was a bunch of tinkling bells.
"I- I can't understand you," Danny said, still afraid to speak. She gave him a weird look, then attempted to ask him something again, but failed, as it just sounded like bells to poor Danny.
"I still can't understand you. You only sound like bells," Danny said. The fairy drew in a deep breath. Danny cringed, expecting something to hit him, but instead, he heard a voice, a voice that somehow sounded familiar.
"Can you hear me now?" Danny heard. He looked at her with shock.
"Did you just ask if I could hear you?" Danny asked. Her face had an even wider grin now as she bobbed her head up and down like a hyper bobble-head.
Danny started hearing a murmur of twinkles coming from the group down below. The fairy in the green dress came flying up to Danny with a skeptic look on her face and rambled a question off in her odd language.
"I'm sorry. I can't understand you," Danny said, looking to the other fairy.
"But you can understand me, right?" Danny asked her. She replied yes and started talking in her "native" language to her friend.
"You can understand me, right?" she asked. Danny nodded yes, still a little shocked that he was talking to a fairy.
She started translating what TinkerBell was saying and told Danny everything Tink was trying to tell him. Tink looked at Danny with a shocked look at the end of their conversation and said to Alynna, "I think he is your human brother."
Alynna gave TinkerBell a crazy look, then looked at Danny. Flying up to him, she asked, "Do… do you somehow… somehow know me?" Alynna asked. This question caught Danny off guard.
"I thought so," Alynna said with a sorrowful look. She turned and, without fluttering her wings, but instead letting them droop, floated down to the ground where TinkerBell had returned.
As she did this, Danny noticed that now half of her hair was an aqua color. Somehow, just by seeing this, something clicked. A couple of weeks ago, he had noticed that after sharing a joke with Tucker and Sam, he had seen a dandelion seed, not many, but just one, float away. There wasn't even a wind to guide it as it somehow floated away to its unknown destination. He had thought nothing of it, until now. When he had seen the seed, he had heard a strange, soft, echoing laughter that he now realized was that fairy's.
"Wait!" Danny said. Alynna looked at him. He could have sworn there were tears rolling down her cheeks. Alynna was sure she had found her brother.
"I think… I think I do know you," Danny said. The fairy immediately perked up and started rambling happily in her "native" language.
"See!? I knew it! I knew he was my brother! I knew he was-" She looked at him and flew up to his face.
"What is your name anyway?" She asked.
"Danny," he said, a little shocked by the sudden mood swing.
"Cool name! Don't think I've ever heard it before. My name's Alynna!" Alynna said extending her tooth pick of an arm to Danny who shook her hand with his finger.
Just as this happened, a sudden rumble erupted from the ground. Danny heard some cars screeching to a halt, and some screams irrupted from the crowd on the other side of the hedge that the park was behind.
Danny flew up and, looking down at the street, saw millions of glowing green, enormous ants. Leading the group of ants, he saw a green light much like the light the fairies emitted, though a bright, ectoplasmic green.
Alynna, seeing the concern on her brother's face, flew up next to him and looked at the army.
"Winda's here," she said under her breath.
"What?" Danny asked, looking at his new found sister… half sister… whatever she was.
"Winda Quickwing, a hero from Pixie Hollow, my homeland. There was a prophecy: she would return and try to destroy Pixie Hollow. But what is she doing here?"
Slowly, what seemed to be Winda, appeared to be growing in size. When she was about half a mile away, she was the height and size of a normal human.
"Winda's here, and she's gaining!" Alynna shouted to the fairies below. Almost as if on que, all of the sparrow men that were put as soldiers rose and formed a long line with Danny and Alynna in the middle.
"So, what's the plan?" Danny asked.
"Fight," Alynna answered.
By now, Danny noticed that her hair had become completely aqua. Alynna nodded and everyone charged. In getting a good look at her face, he saw that her eyes were a bright glowing green, just like his.
Everyone had fled the streets by now and there was no one to give Danny and his little glowing friends a weird look.
As they got closer, all of the fairies stopped as they saw the sheer size of Winda's army. It was HUGE.
"We don't stand a chance!" The minister said and tried to flee when Alynna flew forward and stopped him and the group of sparrow men behind him.
"No! We are not just going to give up like that! Minister, go get all of the other fairies and sparrow men at the park and at Pixie Hollow. Bring them here. We need all the help we can get." The minister nodded in fear and flew away at top speed to fetch the other fairies.
"Everyone, get back to your places! We have to win." Alynna said, rejoining Danny at the front of the group.
"I didn't understand a word of what you just said," Danny told her in a less serious tone.
"We'll have to teach you later, but for now, we have other things to do," Alynna said, looking toward the fast-approaching army.
"We have to win," Alynna said as she led her army into battle.
I'm proud of myself! Got this done in two days and I'm pretty sure it's longer than usual! I can't know for sure because the version of Word that I use doesn't have a word count so…
This has been Dprocks2001, because he really does!
