Heyy again ! I'm sorry it took me so much time to update, I've been busy with school, friends and this hilariously cheesy guy asking me out. According to him I'm "Divinely Beautiful." Flattering. ;P xDDDD Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter ! ;)

Puff the Magic Dragon

I wonder when I got so utterly reckless. Maybe it was at the age of five, when I got bored of my toy broomstick which could only hover a few feet off the ground, and decided to steal my dad's broom to have a bit more fun. I had immediately flown as high as I could possibly get, and had had the best hour of my life zooming around in the air, feeling utterly free. When my dad found me and tugged me down with his wand, I had been so euphoric that I was still grinning from ear to ear after him yelling for about half an hour and sending me to my room.

But honestly, I think that what made me so ridiculously daring is simply knowing that my parents survived a war, a three headed dog, the cruciatus curse, giant man eating spiders, several encounters with Voldemort, and so much more, all before the age of 18. Obviously with parent's like that, anyone would feel invincible.

I'm beginning to wish that they had never had so many adventures, because, surely, if my parents had just been something normal, like shop-owners or cauldron-makers, I would not find myself avoiding getting killed by a murderous, grumpy dragon with morning breath.

It had woken up far more suddenly then I ever would have thought possible. It had lost no time in swinging it's head around in an attempt to kill the person that had awoken it, and getting clumsily to his feet. If I had jumped aside a second later I would surely have found myself either with half my face missing, or seriously incapacitated. Neither of which seems like a very good option.

Unfortunately, in my panic, I had jumped the wrong way, and now, instead of being safely on the dragons back where it wouldn't be able to reach me, as I had planned, I am backed against the other side of the cave, clutching the reins uselessly in one hand, and my wand shakily in the other, preparing to leap to the side at the least movement from "Puff". How I ever thought that dragon was cute, I have absolutely no idea, I must have been momentarily delusional. Probably in the same state of mind I was when I decided that ridding this thing would be a good idea.

The dragon's lunges right at me again, but this time I duck, causing it's head to slam into the wall behind me. The monster roars angrily as it pulls back, and I know I am in deep shit by the fury in his eyes. This time he will not let me get away. I need a plan.

Unfortunately, my mind comes up completely blank, and I am anything but prepared when it leaps forwards again, like a snake striking. I watch as if in slow motion as it's head shoots right towards me, it's mouth open so wide that I can see it's impressive double rows of sharp teeth far too clearly for my liking. I know that if I go to the side or duck, it will catch me easily. So I do the only option left to me.

I jump.

As I leap into the air, I open my legs as widely as I can, and the dragon's head shoots right beneath me, it's horns scraping against my thighs and drawing blood. Before I can register anything else, I find myself crashing down onto the dragon's neck, and pitch forwards, catching myself on it's scaly back. I'm basically in the worst position one could possibly be on a bloodthirsty dragon's back : Facing backwards, my legs wrapped as tightly as I can get them around it's huge neck, and my hands desperately clutching its wings joints to avoid falling off. I am so dead.

…...

Scorpius

A loud, terrifying roar makes snow fall from the surrounding trees, and I shiver, but not because of the cold. I desperately hope that Rose is not the one on the receiving end of that dragon's furry.

After having been apparated at the bottom of the mountain, I had found myself facing what was almost a sheer cliff, and had had to walk along the bottom of the rock face for about half an hour before finally arriving at an area which I could easily climb, right next to a large boulder.

Obviously, I had hastened to clamber up, but it was easier said than done, the snow's so thick that I practically had to wade through it, and the cold penetrated through my thick coat. After another half hour, I realised just how difficult this task is, and that I might have to be more creative.

The dragon roars again, and this time I manage to pinpoint the source of the sound : A small cave in the mountainside, very near to where I am. I know that it's a stupid idea to go see what's going on, but I can't just walk away when someone might be in danger. Besides, what have I got to lose at this point ?

Anyway, this is the Triwizard tournament, at least the public will be happy.

…...

Rose

I am in deep shit. Really, really, deep shit. Deep Dragon dung more like.

The dragon is going absolutely berserk. I don't dare attempt to turn around, in fear of being thrown off, so am still facing backwards, clutching the beast's wings desperately, along with my wand and the reins. I am despondently trying to come up with a plan, but at the moment I feel about as smart as my brain dead brother, Hugo. Ok, I guess Hugo's not that bad, but I need to insult someone to feel better about my awful decision. What else are brothers for?

Really, I should probably be thinking up a plan to get out of my awful predicament as opposed to musing about Hugo's intelligence.

Actually, forget the Hugo comment, I'm feeling about as brainless as a flobberworm.

The dragon is bucking and thrashing underneath me like one of those muggle bulls, and I have a feeling it won't be long until it manages to get rid of me.

Rose Weasley, Death by Dragon, R.I.P. I can just imagine that written on my grave.

A loud clang echoes from the corner of the cave, and the dragon whips around towards it, roaring again. The rock clatters again as it comes gently to a stop, rocking back and forth. Me and Puff both stare at it, as if expecting the rock to suddenly come to life. It doesn't, thank Merlin, I wouldn't want my grave to say Death by Rock instead.

I'm twisted around on the dragon's back to see the rock, and start to turn around just in time to see Scorpius running up to the dragon from behind, his face scrunched up in concentration. On anyone else, that expression would look awful, but on him it looks strangely... cute? Why am I thinking about this now anyway?

Scorp jumps up onto Puff's back from behind as if it were the easiest thing in the world, and grins as he lands almost right in my face, winking. At first, I can't believe how carefree he's acting around this bloodthirsty monster, but then I see the terror in his eyes, and realise that this is his way to deal with it. Fair enough, at least I'm not any more scared than a Malfoy.

The dragon obviously reacts awfully when it feels another passenger on his back, and rears up on his rear legs roaring. Me and Scorpius both hold onto his wing joints tightly to avoid falling off. Then the dragon does the worse thing possible. It launches itself at the entrance of the cave, and stretches it's wings out widely the moment it has enough space. A gust of wind catches it beneath it's impressive wingspan, and it takes off into the air.

Me and Scorpius just stare at each other at this, our eyes wide, and then Scorpius seems to snap out of it. He grabs the reins from me, and stretches his arms out so that they are around me, but also closer to the dragons head. He throws the reins over its head, and quickly takes out his wand, levitating the bite right in front of the dragon's face. I immediately understand what he's doing, and slap the dragon's flank hard, as close to it's tummy as I can get, as it's scales are weaker around that area. As I had hoped, the dragon opens his mouth and lets out an angry roar, which Scorpius loses no time in taking advantage of, pulling the reins backwards hard, so that the bite is in the dragon's mouth, right behind it's teeth.

Technically, we should be able to control this murderous dragon now.

I slowly throw my right foot over the side, clutching Scorpius as I do so, and then rapidly put my left foot back on the other side so that I'm finally facing the front. I sigh in relief to actually feel a minimum in control over the situation. I snuggle backwards into Scorpius' belly so that it's easier for him to control our ride. I can tell he's grinning, though I can't actually see him, and as he tugs the reins sharply to the left, in the direction of the mountain peak, the dragon reluctantly complies, changing direction and executing a wide, banking turn which sets my heart beating from adrenaline.

"We did it !" I say, almost in shock. Scorpius chuckles.

We can see for miles around, and I find myself smiling despite the situation as I take in the view. I front of us, many snowcapped peaks rise into the sky, the occasional dark rock facade contrasting with the spotless white. To the right, we can see nearly to the other side of the large mountain range next to Durmstrang, and on the left, there are the Triwizard Tournament stands, colored in all the different school colors. Red and gold for Durmstrang, the many different house colors for Hogwarts and blue for Beauxbatons all stand out against the snow as they decorate the impressive stadiums.

The numerous students are too far away for me to make out any specific person, but I can still see that they're all craning their heads up as they stare and point at us. I wave cheerily at them, grinning wildly.

The dragon suddenly spins around until it's upside down, and I scream as I slip off it's scaly back, my hands desperately searching the air for something to grab onto.

Unfortunately, the only thing I find is Scorpius', who's hanging desperately onto the dragon's left wing joint, foot. Which, ultimately, makes him fall too. Shite.

"Aresto Momentum !" I scream, clutching my wand.

The ground rushes up to meet me, and I shut my eyes tight. I'm guessing my grave will be saying Death by Dragon. Damn.

There we are ! Another cliffie... ;) xD I hope you enjoyed this chapter, but apologise that they're wasn't much ScoRose.
