Chapter 9

Jean pointed behind him the three teens turned around to see them with guns pointed at them, they slowly walked up towards them. Guns pointed at them, the X-Men got into a ready position ready to fight. They sent a signal and no sooner than they did, they were met with four mutants, staring down at them.

"Now isn't this a wonderful sight Xavier's students ready to fight!"

"Good maybe the White Queen might have some use for them."

"You are who now?" Asked Kitty

Thunderbird stepped up, "We are the Hellions."

Meanwhile, on the ceiling

Peter looked down below him watching the standstill between the X-Men and the Hellions, he was formulating a strategy in his head on who to take out first. Though he would have to do this nice and quiet not wanting to draw attention to himself, he looked curiously at the formation, he estimated that there was at least 20 armed men in front the five teenagers.

He looked for a basically a very weak fighter amongst the group, 'Best plan is divide and conquer by going after the weakest superpowered villain in this will be…'

'It will be that girl with the red-head.'

'Hey…' Peter pondered for a moment, 'What is with me and red-heads, they seem to follow me everywhere I go.'

'So what's the plan?'

'We wait on how this plays out.' He thought

'The wait better not be long.' His partner said, 'I bore easily…'

Back to the group

Scott eyed them from head to toe looking quite furious at them, he had bad feeling something was about to happen because the atmosphere was tense with an aura that felt like these goons were looking for a fight.

"What exactly are you looking for?" He asked

Thunderbird gave a small grunt pointing his finger to the small brunet in the middle of the group, "We want her!"

Kitty looked baffled, "Like why?"

"You had an opportunity to be one the greats if you came to Boston but instead you ran off with Xavier!" He put a lot of disgust towards the end, "The White Queen was furious and sent us to retrieve you."

"And who exactly is this White Queen?" Asked Jean

"That is none of your concerns idiota." Empath

"HEY! No calls Jean an idiot and gets away with it!" Scott quickly put a hand towards his glasses lowering it making his optic beams fire.

"SCATTER!" Called one of the knights, Thunderbird took the impact like champ but the others managed to get out of the way onto the floor making sure they were out of the way of the optic blast. After that Hellion Knights returned fire and chaos ensued.

Kurt grabbed Scott teleporting out of the way of the laser bullets, Kitty phased through them as Jean managed to put up her Psychic Shield in time to make the bullets reflect off it. Thunderbird in loud commanding voice said, "Remember don't harm the girl, stun her and take her prisoner!"

"Yes sir!"

Laser blast continued to rain on the four X-men and Spider-Man was looking very curiously at the battle so far, he looked at the teenager who fired his optic beam so he figured that was Cyclops, then he turned his attention to the girl extending her hand in front of her with the blast bouncing off an invisible wall.

She looked familiar however he kept his focus on the battle that was taking place down below him. His partner was growing restless, it took his will power to tame his suit but it was difficult to control it.

'Be patient!'

'I grow impatient boy!' it snarled

"Give it a few more seconds…" He whispered

He watched intently to the fight below, however another red-head caught his attention, she fired some sort of heat wave from her hands thus concerning the wall crawler greatly. 'You go first.'

'Hey buddy…'

'Parker' The symbiote said annoyed

'Have anything that might help us camouflage or something?' Luckily for Peter it did. The symbiote blended itself easily into the background.

"Camouflage, nice."

Stealthy they made their to the over side of the wall, once Peter was on one of the higher levels the second floor that is, he was in luck as he saw a foam can hanging outside one of the evacuated shops.

"Now that's convenient and might prove to be useful." He grabbed it

Back down on the ground the Hellions weren't having a wonderful time trying to capture Kitty, for one she was intangible meaning the shots went right through her.

Scott blasted four knights while dodging fire, Kurt was teleporting driving the knights up the wall as they fired at nothing but smoke, though that did not mean he did not take out few of them maybe five or six.

"As you Americans say, 'Na,na, na, nana,na!'"

The knights kept blasted him as he kept teleported away from heavy fire. Thunderbird having enough of this used his might to slam his duel fist rocking the entire section of where they were fighting in.

Spiderman with the foam can above his head was behind Firestar knocked her out completely since the rumble caused him to stumble a bit. As the clank was heard, he looked at the girl on the ground.

'Not that what I was going for but again convenient.' He thought

He quickly gathered the redhead in his arms disappear to the ceiling.

He carried the unconscious red head away from the fight to a more secluded place. Meanwhile Empath looked to see where Firestar was, he was confused at first then he narrowed his eyes as familiar red can on the floor.

'Useless girl' He turned his attention to the fight as he hid behind a wall, 'No matter she is easily replaceable.'

Roulette somersaulted to where Empath was, avoiding flying objects that were trying knock her out. He quickly grabbed her by the arm pulling her to where he was.

"Let go of me." She said yanking her arm away from him, "What's the deal Empath?"

"Firestar is missing." He responded though his voice sounded like he could of cared less.

"So? Who cares she useless anyway?" She peeked around the corner watching as Thunderbird was locked in combat with Scott Summers, "Besides I wasn't the one who used my powers to force her to come with us."

They just about to run out on reinforcement, when charged a disk flinging it randomly, a few seconds later a cry was heard and Empath peaked to see what was going on, one of the X-men was hit and it was the boy with blue hair.

The others froze mainly the X-Men, taking the opportunity of distraction, the knights fired paralyzing all but one. Jean now standing alone was now going to get the pressure from the knights to take her out, though strangely enough they held their positions.

One unhooked an orb and threw it to the ground next to her, before Jean had a chance to react green smoke invaded her space. Gagging she knew it was knockout gas, yet she was not going to be defeated.

That gas however effects took over quickly before she even put a fight, she collapsed as the knights surrounded her. The last thing Jean saw before blacking out completely were the knights with their weapons pointed at her.

Thunderbird glared at the unconscious redhead, he snapped his fingers turning to leave "Take them all back to the helicopters, the White Queen might find a use for them yet once we arrived at Boston."

"I don't think so!" Thunderbird quickly turned to meet with two feet striking him square in the chest sending him flying back towards a shop. Empath and Roulette came to his side helping him up but he didn't need any help.

"ARGH!" Thunderbird jumped out of the he was forced in looking around for the intruder, what he saw displeased he, the remaining group of 10 were either beaten or webbed to a wall and the telepath was no were to be found.

"Another mutant?" Asked Empath

"Seems like it but let's go before anymore unconvinced show up." Thunderbird grunted. Quickly they gathered the knights, along with the remaining X-Men Kurt, Scott and Kitty, they had lost Jean to the mystery mutant. Thunderbird took out a remote and pressed a button, the roof of the Mall was blasted open and ropes were thrown to them as they board the helicopter.

Unknown to them Spiderman watched the whole thing as he hid in plain sight using the chameleon vanishing trick the symbiote used before. He laid Jean around a pillar right next to him.

'Well that wasn't much fun.'

'Better to keep our head down than be overwhelmed beside what good will it do if we got caught as well.'

'I still say we could've taken down.'

'Maybe right now we bigger fish to fry.'

'The red-head girl.'

Unknown location

Firestar groaned, her head was killing her with a massive headache, she couldn't remember the last thing that happen…well…she remembered talking with Empath and Thunderbird and then Empath kissed her after that blank.

Right now Firestar felt very lightweight, like she was suspended by something, she tried to move her body, unfortunately for her, she found out pretty quickly that she couldn't she looked up from the position she was in seeing gray.

'Funny I don't remember the sky being gray, is it about to rain?' She got her answer when she down at her feet, "Oh my…"

The sky was above her from what she could see out of a window and she was hanging in midair by a web line upside down, she looked around frantically what she was not pleasing at all, gasoline barrels were all over the place meaning that if she would use her power, the whole place will explode.

Firestar didn't know how to fly since she was still in training, to her this was the worst possible situation she could be in right now, "Whoever captured me, knew what he/she was doing." She said out loud

"As a matter of fact I did tubby."

Gasping she saw a man in a skin tight black suit with a white spider in there middle of his chest on a web line making his way towards her. She took in his physical attribute, nothing was left to the imagination as she viewed this man in front of her in that skin-tight suit, and he was well toned.

She blushed furiously looking away from this man.

"So what's your name?" He said

She looked at him crossly then adverted her gaze from him, one thing she learned from her training from the White Queen is never give out information to any one especially to the enemy.

"Hmm…silent treatment eh?" He chuckled darkly, Firestar didn't like the sound of that. "I have ways of making you talk."

"Oh no…." She whispered

On the roof

Jean eyes opened slowly to her surroundings, for one she didn't know where she was, her blurry surrounds began to clear.

She noticed that she was on a roof lying down might I add. She stood up groggily, rubbing her head she went to the edge of the building she looked down.

"That's pretty far up."

Jean looked around, she let out a sigh of relief when she saw the not far from her location. Then it hit her, the last thing she remembered were Knights were surrounding her and then black out.

"Scott!" Now she panicked, what happened to the others, were they alright? Were they hurt?

A scream shook her out of her thoughts, seeing a window, she went to it taking a peek inside and to her surprise there was Spiderman with one of the Hellions tied up in webbing.

She saw Spiderman toying her with by breaking the webbing then catching her, letting her go, then catching her, letting her go, then catching her, and letting her go before she reached the bottom.

"Now then chuckles, you're going to tell me everything that you know!"

She listened to the interrogation as well as muffled cries.

Firestar shook her head no, Spiderman was growing impatient but he had an idea, "Alright then."

He stretched out his hand to form a new web line, then he brought her up placing her on his knees he connected the new webbing to her stomach, "You know I really never suspended a woman like this before, I hope for your sake this web line holds."

The girl had tears in her eyes from crying, this man method of torture was ruthless, almost did he let her dropped nearly snapping her neck. Now she was deep trouble as Spiderman climb to the top of were the line was.

Her eyes widen in fright as he began to cut the web line, one by one.

She cried out muffle as he was half way through, "Are you ready to talk?"

Her cries muffled she let out a nod, "Now there's a good girl, you see you're not as dumb as you look."

"Hold it Spiderman." Jean called out

Spidey looked up, "Hey there sleeping beauty about time you woken up. How you feeling?"

"Been better." Came the response, "Leave that Hellion like that and take her to Professor Xavier, maybe he might be able to read her mind in case she tries to lie."

"Anything that's better this I'm game." He said

Firestar on the other hand had a very bad feeling about this visit with Charles Xavier.
