The Blues Brothers

"Kyon, Koizumi! Go get refreshments! Mikuru can't make tea in a full body cast," Haruhi ordered.

Laying in the hospital bed they wheeled into the club room Mikuru weakly sighed, "Help me..."

"Right," Kyon agreed as they headed out into the hall.

Koizumi calmly whipped out sunglasses and put them on. "We're on a mission from God."

"Stop that," Kyon groaned as they strode off.

The taxi picked up Koizumi on cue, as usual. What wasn't usual was the driver and passenger were both in suits wearing sunglasses.

"Mori, Arakawa," Koizumi greeted them.

"Mr Koizumi," Mori nodded.

Arakawa's hands flexed on the wheel. "It's 106 miles to Hokkaido. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses."

"Hit it," Mori ordered and they drove off.

At the school festival later that year, Haruhi watched in pleasure as "Kyon Blues" and "Koizumi Blues" played for the entire school. "Yuki Blues" was on guitar, and "Mikuru Blues" was doing surprisingly well on keyboards.

"Isn't this GREAT!" Haruhi beamed at a random student.

"I suppose," he conceded.

Up on stage, Kyon was DEEPLY wishing they had never let Haruhi rent the movie 'The Blues Brothers'...
