Disclaimer- I do not (sadly) own the wonderful Maximum Ride Series

Plot- This story is about after the world ends. A new flock rises from the ashes of the old world. What happens when the two flocks meet? Love will be found and lost in this new world, with this new flock.

A/N- I am just so. so. so. sooooooooo sorry! I literally had so much stuff going on, I could barely keep up with my HW! I'm going to try to dive right back in, however, I don't completely remember the whole plotline (I lost my sheet which contained all the info! grrrr…) so don't expect a ton at first!

Fang POV-

This is so stupid. Honestly, I could have been sleeping in with Max. Now, we're out here looking for a flock that it suspiciously like ours? Seems odd to me, but whatever.

I scoffed quietly, looking down at the turquoise water, my wings ruffling in the warm, morning breeze. Max flew next to me, with the littler ones spread out all around, all of us peering into the dense jungle.

"Do you think we'll be able to find them?" Max's voice startled me out of my own mind, forcing my dark eyes to refocus on the multiple shades of green. "They must be out there somewhere. They won't hide forever, and since they don't have a solid food source, other than the natural jungle fruits, they must come out of hiding sometime." I replied with a slight shrug of my shoulders.

She grinned and flew a little faster. "Just imagine how happy the flock will be. We all will finally have friends our own ages, without a difference of 3-4 years!" Max did a loop in the air, her grin contagious. I could feel my own lips parting as her excitement had the whole flock start laughing.

It was these moments that made our flock special. These were the times I cherished. I only hope the new flock will add to this joy instead of taking away from it.

"Anyways, you know that stone I found? When I was flying back with it, it made me act strange. When I confronted the blonde girl with the grey wings, I acted like a total bitch and I have no idea why, unless it was indeed the stone." Max stated, her eyebrows drawing together as the moment was lost.

I frowned as well. We certainly need to explore more of the island. It's humongous, not even thinking about all the other new land masses that emerged. There must be thousands of new flora and fauna.

I shook my head, focusing again on flying. "We can talk more about the stone when we have located the other flock, that way we can make sure they weren't too offended by your actions," I said with a grin. Max lightly punched my shoulder, and we were joyful once more. We flew on, the sun on our backs and the wind in our hair.

Misty POV-

I woke up with a gigantic yawn, arms stretching in the air, my back arching from the long sleep. My eyes fluttere-no. I woke up with a leaf in my mouth, dried sand in my hair and sea salt scattered on my face. I nearly screamed as I saw my reflection in the clear water. I leapt down from the tree, spitting out the leaf and hurriedly braiding my gross hair.

My flock - bless their hearts - were attempting to cook breakfast. Since Rooney was still asleep, and he was the real cook of the bunch, I took control. "Sorry! We wanted to surprise you and… well… yeah." Josie stammered, handing me the bowl with half melted druid and sunbeam juice. I laughed, dumping it into the sand to start anew.

I quickly blended a mixture of fruits, making a sort of smoothie. I then poured portions into a couple stripras and handed them out to everyone. I placed Rooneys' portion on the floor, gliding up to wake him for breakfast. We all gathered around the fire to see if it was any good.

"OMG! This is amazing! Can we have this every day, please please please!" Josie nearly screamed, slurping down the sweet smoothie, along with the rest of the flock. Even Rooney, the major food critic, gave me a thumbs up, which coming from him was high praise. I laughed and ate my own portion before standing up with a groan.

"So. What should we do today?" I inquired, cleaning up the remains of breakfast. "Oh-oh-oh! Can we pleeease go flying! We could try to go and explore some cliffs! I thought I saw some super cute fuzzy bears! They looked absolutely adorable!" Sunny said, jumping up and down with excitement. I giggled, wondering what we had done to get this adorable little girl. "Is everyone ok to do that?" I was answered by a chorus of Yes! "Lead the way sweetie!"

We then took off as one, something we had practiced wayyyyy too many times. Our wings snapped open in succession and we soared into the ever-blue sky. Sunny led us toward a cliff with surprising beauty. It had these unique trees, with red trunks and beautiful purple-pink leaves. The grass was a dark blue, and there were pink flowers everywhere.

We glided along until Sky stumbled upon a small clearing. We all gathered around the small opening, trying to peer into the hole. I eventually sat on Tor, much to his anger. "What are you- Misty! I am not a chair! Hey! Stop it!" He whisper-shouted. I giggled, ruffling his dark hair, the gold highlights twinkling in the filtered sunlight. His frown eventually broke to a grin as balanced me.

"Look! Stop talking and look!" Josie said quietly, pointing with a tan finger. We focused, staring into the hole, gasping as we saw the adorable, panda-like bears. They looked like little fuzzballs and were a bright yellow color. Their eyes were closed, and they were pretty much all sleeping. Sunny squealed, her eyes twinkling. It was then that Sky stepped on a twig. It cracked. The bear's eyes popped open.

"Fuuu-" I started to say as their red eyes zeroed in on our hiding spot. Their adorable mouths opened to show super sharp teeth. Rooney screamed and started to run, triggering the bears. We all scrambled to get out of the forest. "AHHHHHHH WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE THINGS!" Tor yelled, opening his wings and jumping up, quickly followed by the rest of us.

"Never again!" We shouted in unison, flapping frantically to get home. This was when we burst out laughing, at the randomness of fuzzy, yellow, murderous panda bears. "Sorry guys! I didn't mean to lead us to our death!" Sunny said, still giggling. We waved her off and continued to laugh so hard that we couldn't breathe. It had been a good day, I thought, smiling to myself. A good day.

A/N- Please enjoy! Sorry if it is short, I just wanted to get something out there! Lots of love to everyone! Thank you to the people that reviewed oh-so-long ago!
