Oreo
Vortex
Oreo ran ahead of the group, they'd all packed some bags to go to Mount Ender to find Sky("if he IS there." "Shut up Papa."). Ant cut him off with the horse he rode on.
"Oreo! Get on the horse, we'll get there faster!" He said, looking at the other. He looked around, seeing everyone else on a horse as well.
"Can I get my own?" Ant sighed.
"I knew you'd say that." Sparklez said, smiling as he tugged a lead he'd been holding. A black and white horse was on it, a saddle strapped to it's back. He took off the lead, watching as Oreo threw himself on it's back. Once he was situated, they took off again.
'Sky, be safe until we get there!' Oreo thought, knowing the same thing was going through everyone else's heads.
(TWO HOURS LATER)
They'd stopped by a stream for the horses to get water and some food. They took the time to look over the map that Deadlox had brought.
"So if we keep going like we are now, then we should reach Mount Ender by nightfall tomorrow." Dawn explained, watching as Deadlox shook his head at her. Placing a hand on her hip, she glared at the headphone wearing man. "Got a better plan Deadlox?"
"We should cross the river instead of going around. There's a path over there-" He was cut off by a loud, echoing, girly shriek on the opposite side of the river. They all turned their heads to the river to see a rapidly approaching form from the forest on the other side.
"Vortex, don't do dis!" They looked at each other at the familiar voice. Sky was coming their way?! The horses shrieked out loud whinnies as the form burst from the foliage on the other side. It looked to be a horse of sorts, but they were too busy scattering to get a good look. They heard another loud shriek followed by a loud, bellowing laugh as whatever had been coming their way collided with the ground near them- That stopped right in front of Oreo. He blinked a bit before leaning to the side to get a better view of who was on the horse-rock thing.
"SKY!" He yelled happily, seeing the shaking, wide eyed man on the horse. His gaze turned into a cold glare at the man who was holding him up. Vortex looked down at him with a glare just as cold, if not colder, than Oreo's own. Sky perked up at the boys voice and, though still really close to pissing himself, smiled at him.
"Oreo!" He yelled, wriggling out of Vortex's tight grip and sliding off Balve. He wobbled a bit but managed to get to Oreo to hug him before he hit the ground. Ant, Sparklez, Dawn, and Deadlox got up from the ground at the sight of Sky, rushing to join in on the hug.
Vortex and Balve sat awkwardly off to the side as they watched the interaction between Sky and his friends. He heard the woman and one of the guys apologize for something. Sky just laughed it off, but he still seemed kind of upset. He barely noticed when Sky turned back to him.
"Why are you still on the horse, come on down!" he laughed, grinning as Vortex colored a bright pink. He sighed, dismounting Balve, who seemed undignified at being called a horse.
"Sky, I have told you, Balve is no horse. He is a very ancient being created by magic of the ancient arcanes." He said, running a hand through his hair with a huff.
"But he looks like a horse." Vortex puffed out his cheeks, shoulders going rigid as Sky made it his point to point out the obvious. He opened his mouth, but closed it and pouted, shaking his head.
"Well I should probably go..." He muttered, looking away as he mounted Balve.
"Huh, why can't you stay?" Sky asked, brow furrowing. Oreo looked at him.
"You don't know?" Sky shook his head.
"What are you on about?" Oreo glared at Vortex, watching him cautiously.
"He's an ender dragon!" He yelled, pointing at the man. Vortex simply glared down at him, visible eye twitching before he scoffed.
"Foolish notions you children come up with." He stated haughtily, crossing his arms and sticking his nose in the air. Oreo, rather upset at this, glared at him.
"Then why are you so haughty?" "Because a little fool like you is insulting me." "Guys!" Sky squeaked, getting stuck between the elder and the younger of the two males. He tensed as they both clutched an arm with a vice-grip and stared each other down. Oreo glared and Vortex's eye narrowed as he pulled back his upper lip and growled like an angry wolf. Oreo copied him, which ended up with the two of them getting in each other's faces and growling and spitting with rage like animals.
"ENOUGH." Everyone jumped as Sky yelled, grabbing Vortex by the ear as Ant did many times to Oreo and pulling him to the side. Oreo laughed before Ant did the same to him.
After a series of scolding and tense apologies, everyone was on their way back home. Deadlox was the one who broke the awkward silence.
"Well that was... anti-climatic..." He stated with a chuckle, rubbing the back of his head.
"Why do you say that?" Sky asked, looking at him. Deadlox looked away and sighed.
"I thought we'd have to rescue you from an Ender Dragon's lair, seeing as you were in Mount Ender." Sky stared at him, eyebrows furrowed.
"I was WHERE?" He said, staring Deadlox down. He felt Vortex sift behind him with an awkward cough and Balve shook his head at the reaction. Sky looked up at the man, shock and awe in his eyes. "You live THERE?!"
"I- I do. I-It is not that terrible." Vortex muttered, looking away awkwardly. Everyone stared at him, eyes wide with either shock or just plain confusion. And then Oreo spoke up.
"HE'S AN ENDERDRAGON! Guys, it's so OBVIOUS!" He whined, looking at them. Ant shushed him then turned to Vortex.
"Why do you live there?" Vortex let out an awkward cough as he was questioned.
"It is... quieter than most other places. Very rarely does one see Enderdragons. I... I have lived there since My... family passed." He said, face twitching and his eyes clouding with a guarded reaction. Sky stared at him, and there was a thick wave of tension around them.
"What do you mean," Oreo started, ignoring the looks Ant and Sparklez gave him, " 'Since your family Passed'?" Vortex looked at him briefly, looking away almost immediately.
"I refuse to tell a child." He said, snapping the reins and making Balve move ahead of the group, a frown set deep into his face. Ant and Sparklez looked at Oreo.
"What did he mean?" He asked, frowning.
"His family died." "Deadlox-" "He wanted to know." With that, the emo-looking minecrafter rode ahead to catch up with Vortex and Sky.
