His hair was being braided and that snapped him out of the dream.
Hallucinating, that's what that damn purple dust caused.
Not the best idea to breathe it in.
'Joe Joe Joe.' Leo sang, close at his ear. 'Not like Bo-Bo.'
'Damn I HOPE not.' Roman grumbled. 'And I don't care what people say, we're NOT related!'
'I can see the sky.' Leo pointed to the caved in ceiling.
Roman noticed the gap too and frowned. It was slowly increasing in size.
Which meant...
Collapse.
Fully.
'Leo wants a bird!'
'Leo, get your ass over here!'
the South African ignored like a disobediant dog and climbed the pile of rubble to the crack.
'Leo, i'm getting fed up with you not obeying.'
Roman lunged, completely pissed off, enraged and shaking.
Tackled Leo harder than he'd ever hit anybody.
Just as the metal pipe fell.
He was skewered, a human kebab and relieved it wasn't his lover that was now in pain, penetrated through right below the ribcage and out through his stomach.
Roman was going to die and he accepted this.
But he wanted to spend time with his boys before he left for good.
A tiny gleam of silver, blade sliced a hole big enough for a face to pop up, human prairie dog.
'You're right, the place is destroyed.'
'Move, bitch, let me see!' Seth nudged Dean over, stared through the ring canvas hole. 'shit, it's awful.'
'We'd better go check for survivors?'
'why are you ASKING? I doubt anyone lived besides us.'
'Which means...'
'Don't say it. Don't speak his name.'
'He COULD Be-'
'Just shut up!' Seth snarled. 'Oh look, it gets WORSE. Leo lived.'
Leo ran to them in a huff of panted breath, face flushed, feet sore, legs tired from running in a gallop.
'It hurts terribly. I'm dying!'
'You stupid fucking bitch, you LEFT him!' Seth slapped Leo, fierce enough to split his bottom lip. 'He LOVES you and you left him!'
'Shut UP Seth and let him talk!' Dean placed himself between the two men.
'Run Leo, run fast, hurry, I need to see them again...need to tell them they're my family, my best brothers.'
Dean glanced at Seth. 'Told you so.'
'gloat later. Let's go to the rescue.'
'I hope it's not too late.'
'It's always too late.' Seth said glumly.
'Perfect!' tyler motioned with his head. 'Ambulance!'
'Don't celebrate yet.' Adrian scolded, keeping firm grip on the makeshift gurney with a weak but smiling Bronson strapped on. Amazing how well masking tape and two of Corey's studded belts had helped. 'Might not be any keys.'
'I know how to hotwire cars.' Corey said and nobody was surprised.
'My phone might work.' Aiden spoke up. 'Plus the ambulance might-'
'Have a way to call.' Corey glanced at his fallen lover with glee. 'We're gonna save your life, buddy boy.'
Bronson beamed. 'i'd kiss you but I can't move.'
'Not only him.' Adrian commented. 'We're going to rescue everyone we can.'
Tyler glanced back at the pile of brick and concrete, steel and metal that was once an arena, wondered how many had lost their lives, how many were in trouble, how many were okay and nodded in agreement.
Time to be heroes, both super and ordinary.
