CHAPTER 142

SilverGrass waited in her seat while Ukko tapped his ear, noticing a small ear monitor. "I'm bringing SilverGrass in for questioning. You got everything ready?"

She couldn't hear a response but Ukko nodded. "Got it. Alright then SilverGrass," here he looked at her, "Follow me."

He got up and opened the door, SilverGrass following behind.

The foyer was empty, everyone either in classes or in their dorms.

SilverGrass noticed a small stone Gargoyle clinging to the old Vampire's back, staring at her. She stared back, not saying anything.

Ukko didn't look back as he spoke. "Astan. It's rude to stare."

The small Gargoyle turned his head, and stared off into space.

SilverGrass followed Ukko down a long hallway, through a door, and then down another hallway until they reached a heavy steel door.

Ukko pushed it open without effort, then gestured for SilverGrass to go ahead.

She complied, walking in. The room was set up with tons of monitors, all of them focused on a different prisoner.

She noticed one huge lycanthrope wriggling in his chains, and wondered how long the chains would hold.

A table sat in the middle of the room, with a man sitting in a chair facing the door. Two huge angel wings hung from his back, pristine and silver coloured.

Ukko closed the door behind SilverGrass, leaving her alone with the angel.

The angel gestured to the chair opposite of him. He wasn't smiling, but his face wasn't unkind either. "Sit down please."

SilverGrass did what was asked, glancing around at the monitors again before looking at him.

"My name is GaleWing. I will be your interrogator for today."

She bristled, but didn't say anything. 'I know these types of people. They try to rile you up, and make you slip and spill out your secrets. Fine. At this point, I can't hide anything anymore.'

GaleWing took out a pen and a sheet of paper. He wrote down his name, then SilverGrass's below it. Then he made several dots below it.

"Now then, SilverGrass. I will ask you questions, and you will answer them. Are we clear?"

"Yes sir."

"Very good. First off, what is your village called?"

"Hidden RedBark, sir."

GaleWing wrote it down.

"Where is your village located?"

"RedWood forest sir. In California."

GaleWing wrote on the paper again. "What is your real name?"

SilverGrass hesitated. "Kanya Namiki."

"Very good. I wasn't sure you'd give me your name."

"Sir?"

"It's nothing. Now then, next question. Are you still in allegiance with the Agency Viscan was a part of?"

SilverGrass glared down at the table. "No sir. I was freed the moment he was injured. I am free to use as you see fit, as long as my village can be saved."

"I see. Then you claim your allegiance to Red Dusk?"

SilverGrass clenched her fists. 'This man is trying my patience.' She glanced up at him finally. "I do."

GaleWing wrote that down.

"Next question. Did you know Viscan for an extended period of time? Did he tell you anything about himself?"

"No sir."

GaleWing sighed. The paper crackled as he wrote on it again.

"Very good. That is all I have for now. You may go back to Ukko. He will be in the room you had the meeting in. I look forward to working with you."

SilverGrass paused. "What do you mean by that?"

GaleWing gave her a wry smile. "You'll see."

A loud howl sounded.

GaleWing sighed. "Time for that mutt's medication again. You can leave now, SilverGrass."

SilverGrass bowed and got up, glancing once more at the monitor showing the struggling lycanthrope. 'I wonder…no. It's nothing.'

She opened the door and left.

Author Notes

-I know it's short sorry.

-Next chapter will be when the gang gets together for a road trip to RedWood Forest.

-Cause writing about long boring car rides is always fun. (Sarcasm)

-A plane will be involved too. How will our poor Vampires survive?
