"Oh hell," Dick muttered as he climbed back up the fire escape. He hit the comm in his ear and waited for the tell tale static and spoke lowly. "Barry, how's he doing?"

"Not good, his breathing is labored and his wound isn't healing. What happened tonight?"

"I got into some trouble around seven and called him in. He got stabbed and pumped full of drugs. He leapt from the top the building to the next before continuing. "He was out for six hours. He had showed signs of healing Barry; I wouldn't have let him leave if he hadn't."

"What exactly was introduced into his blood stream?"

"Sodium thiopental," Dick heard Barry cursing on the other end, "what is it Barry?"

"It's the drugs! If you get to much sodium thiopental in a speedsters bloodstream it slows the advanced healing process, until it crashed completely."

"What can we do?" Dick stood at the end of a vacant street reading the sign for a second then turned left and sprinted down the street.

"We need to give him a total transfusion and get it out of his system." Dick burst through a bright red door and found Barry standing next to where Wally was lying on the kitchen table. An IV was already hanging next to him dripping morphine into him to numb the pain. "Dick I need you to stay here for five seconds while I go get the blood for him." Dick nodded and watched as he sped out the door.

He pulled a chair up next to the table and took a seat; he removed his domino mask and threw it on the edge of the table. Barry was back a few seconds later with a large red cooler in his hand; in his other hand he held a portable apheresis. Dick hopped up from his seat and allowed Barry to do his work. In less than a minute Wally was hooked up to the machine and his tainted blood was flowing out while clean blood flowed in.

The two men sat there for three hours before Wally regained consciousness, his eyes searching wildly around the room. "Artemis?" Dick lifted his head up and looked towards his best friend.

"You okay man?"

"Yeah, what happened with Artemis?" His uncle entered the room them and crossed over to his nephew. His skin had regained the red flush of life and his breathing was coming without an issue.

"Everything's okay Wally, she's good, you're good. Just get some rest." The ginger nodded and closed his eyes before slipping into a restful sleep.

When Artemis woke up the next morning the first thing she did was grab the phone from her nightstand and call Zantanna.

"This better be good babe, it's four in the morning, and I have work tomorrow."

"What didn't you tell me about Wally?" She asked pacing back and forth from her couch and the bay window.

"What are you talking about Artemis?" The sleepiness was gone from her friend's voice and was replaced with concern.

"Yesterday, I cut you off when you were giving me the scoop on Wally; what was it?"

"Artemis what's going on?"

"Just tell me Zee." Artemis voice was raised and was not in the mood for answering questions, at least not until she had her answers.

"He's Flash."

"How do you know?"

"Nightwing. I cracked into his computer and searched Wally's name. He has files on all of us by the way, like seriously detailed files."

"That's why he said something was wrong, he wasn't healing! Zee I have to go." She hung up without another word and ran back out her front door.

Once she was outside and on her bike she turned on the communicator in her helmet. "Green Arrow to Nightwing," she waited a moment until a groggy voice responded.

"Nightwing."

"Where is he?"

"Third house on Amistad, bright red door." The engine roared to life beneath her and she sped off around the block. "She told you didn't she?"

"I had already started to figure it out, he kept saying something was wrong." The bike turned down First Street before rounding the corner of Amistad and coming to a stop three houses in. She ripped the helmet off and ran up the sidewalk; faint voices were coming from inside when she started pounding on the door. Dick answered the door, his domino mask back in place on his chiseled face. Artemis pushed past him to see Wally sitting at the table; food spread out in front him.

"What the hell happened?" She ground out her hand fisting at her sides while the room went silent around her. From the corner of her eye she noticed a ginger woman sitting next to Barry who she assumed to be his wife. Wally for his part swung his head quickly to look at her with his mouth agape at her sudden appearance.

"He was pumped full of drugs Artemis, they crashed his system." Dick answered from where he was still standing in the open door. She paid no mind to him, just continuing to star at Wally, who had finally closed his mouth but remained silent.

"Alrighty, why don't we give them two of them their space for a moment?" Spoke the woman and ushered Barry and Dick from the room and down the hall.

"Tell me the truth Wally." She whispered as she took a few steps towards him.

"What do you know?"

"I know that you're the Flash, and I know that you were stabbed and pumped full of drugs, I just don't know why." Wally sighed and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

"Nightwing called me in for back up in Bludhaven."

"That's why you left the restaurant? To run all the way to Bludhaven?!"

"It takes me less than three minutes Artemis; I wasn't going to make him fight alone."

"But there are others he could have called Wally! He didn't have to call you!"

"Who was he supposed to call; I was the only one who could have gotten there in time!"

"What about Robin? Or fucking Batgirl for god's sake?!"

"And they probably wouldn't have survived the stab woun- wait! How did you know that Robin and Batgirl were relocated to Bludhaven?"

"We're not talking about me right now." She said in a much lower voice than she had been using

"Artemis?" Wally questioned his green eyes going wide at the thoughts that were running through his head.
