Lillian woke up to complete darkness, pain searing throughout her whole body and she had no recognition of how she got here or any idea where 'here' is. After a few minutes her eyes adjusted to the darkness but everything was still rather blurry. She saw a shadowed figure walking towards her. She heard a crunch noise before she felt the pain.

The unknown figure had stepped on her foot, obviously breaking it. 'W-who are you?' She croaked, her throat burnt from thirst.
'You know who I am, Lillian.' His voice said.
'Kol.' She whispered painfully.

The blurriness had eventually stopped and she could now see around the room clearly. She looked down at her hands to see the source of the burning pain, vervain soaked ropes tied around her wrists. She used all her strength, and strained against the ropes, only to scream out in pain as they dug into her skin deeper.

'Don't struggle, sweetheart, it will only make it worse for yourself.'
'Why are you doing this?' She croaked.
'Well, you have some very important information I'm after.'

'You've had plenty of opportunities to capture me, why didn't you years ago?'
'For some reason, every time I got too close to you, I couldn't get any closer. It was like there was a barrier between us. A witch, I'm guessing. From the other side. I don't know how it happened, but I've finally got you.' He laughed.

Lillian thought about this for a second, could it be possible?

'Anyway,' Kol continued, 'I believe you and your father were the only people who have this knowledge, and well, since I killed him, the only other person I can get the information from, is you.' Lillian rolled her eyes and laughed.

'You really think after everything you've put me through, I'm going to help you? I'd rather you kill me.'

Days, maybe even weeks passed, and Katherine still had no idea what Kol was talking about, and he hadn't returned. Her thirst was driving her crazy, and she could not wait to get out of that tomb and get revenge on the Salvatore's. Her mind was filled with gruesome images of what she planned to do to them. She would make them suffer, just like they had made her suffer. Her train of thought was disturbed when she heard rustling towards the entrance of the tomb.

She stumbled to the entrance, having to grasp the wall to avoid face planting due to her lack of strength. When she finally reached the entrance she was face to face with an unfamiliar woman. 'Uh.. Who are you?' Katherine asked.

The women before her began chanting in a language that Katherine recognised straight away, although she could not tell what she was saying, she automatically knew she was a witch. Katherine stood there awkwardly, not exactly knowing what to do, or what was going on.

'Get her.' The woman said right after she finished chanting.

Two men both holding a syringe lunge at her, and before she can escape them, the needles are jabbed into both of her sides, and she is taken into complete darkness.

'What the hell.' Katherine muttered before she opened her eyes. Her whole body was aching. She imagined this is what it would feel like if she were human and hit by a bus. Maybe even ten busses. When she felt she could handle it, she slowly opened her eyes. She was in an unfamiliar room, although she couldn't help but feel relieved that she was out of that tomb, no matter where she was right now. She tried standing up, only to flinch due to soaked ropes tied around her wrists which pull her back down. She let out a soft maniac like laugh, 'vervain ropes' she whispered to herself, sighing deeply.

She then took back her earlier decision, and wished she was back in the tomb. Whoever had taken her was obviously after her for a reason and she feared it was someone who she had wronged in the past, which was a lot of people.

She ran through the list of people in her mind but half of them were dead, and the other half would probably be over whatever she had done to them. Yeah, she wished she was back in that tomb rotting.

'Agh!' Lillian screamed out, ask Kol squirted vervain on her. 'How the hell am I going to tell you the information you're after if you're not going to actually ask me!' She said through gritted teeth.

'I'm just having fun love.' He laughed.

'You're a sick bastard.'

'You'd know all about being a bastard.' He said.

Lillian felt her face burn up from anger. She wanted nothing more than to just rip his heart out, though she knew he was an original, therefore he could not die. And this thought made Lillian even angrier, because if she could have anything in the world right now, it would be for him to be dead.

'You've never really had a motherly figure in your life, have you?' He asked. Lillian ignored his attempt at interrogating her and closed her eyes, trying to block out this whole situation, trying to imagine she were somewhere else. But his voice interrupted her.

"What am I supposed to do with you?' He said aloud, though he wasn't really talking to anyone in particular. 'I really want to kill you, but if I do, I'll never find what I'm looking for.' He sighed. 'But the quicker you help me find it, the quicker I get to kill you… Though I want to wait just a little bit longer.' He let out a long, exaggerated sigh.

The minutes passed in silence, and Lillian began to wonder what information he was after exactly, and if she even wanted to tell him. But she could think of nothing.

'Ok, I can't wait any longer. What I need from you... Wait, I think she's awake.' Kol raised his eyebrows and Lillian heard it too, a faint 'hello?' coming from another room. Kol left Lillian, and soon returned, holding a limp body by the back of her t-shirt, her curly, matted hair covering her face which was hung low, obviously in pain.

'Let me introduce you two.' Kol said, pulling her hair so hard, her face lifted up enough for Lillian to see who it was.

'Elena…' Lillian whispered.

A/N. Ok so #spoileralert but it's not really Elena (obviously). I was going to go further but it's currently 4:30am and I want to get this up before I go to sleep. So sorry I haven't updated in forever, I don't really have a legit excuse, except I really didn't know where I was going with this story and I didn't want to disappoint anyone. In all honestly I think my writing is improving, much better than before, I'm really working on creating longer chapters but I still want to improve a lot more so if you have any constructive criticism please leave a review! Next update will be a lot faster since I now know what I'm doing with this fic, it really makes my day when I wake up in the morning and my email is flooded with people who have favourite, reviewed or followed my story (hint hint) so thanks to all of you! xxx
