Hi guys, I know it's been FOREVER but I have had literally no inspiration for this story at all. I apologize for that, and I do hope y'all can see it in your hearts to forgive me.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything you see here. Just Mouse. Even that's debatable.

"I hate the cold." Mouse mumbled as she tightened her jacket around her small, shivering body.

"What's the matter Mouse?" Hellboy asked. "I thought rodents loved the cold."

"Not this one." She replied as she walked over to where he was sitting. "What's all this?"

"Research father put together." He replied as Liz and a few others walked over. "This engraving here represents Sammy."

"One falls, two shall arise…" Mouse read the Latin aloud thoughtfully. "Could explain why we haven't been able to kill him."

"That's exactly it. We'll have to nail 'em all at once." Hellboy agreed. "And the eggs." He added.

"And when we do, no mumbo-jumbo." Manning spoke up as he walked over with a bunch of silver contraptions. He laid them down on the box they were currently using as a table. "Double core Vulcan-65 grenades. Now we've installed a handy little timer." He tapped his fingers against the timer on the belt. "You just set it and walk away."

"Huh. And I didn't get you anything." Hellboy replied.

When they landed Mouse practically ran to the trucks waiting for them. "Cold, cold, cold!" she jumped into the truck and sighed as the heat in the still running car surrounded her. "Oh yes." She sighed.

"Better?" Hellboy appeared at the window.

"Much." She nodded as they put the crates they would be using to transport Hellboy onto the back of the truck. She looked back at the crates and smiled at him as she opened the door. "Wanna get a little warm before you have to brave the cold in the crates?"

"Nah. I'm warm blooded." He shrugged before he tousled her hair. "See ya round kid."

"Ass." She tried to flatten her hair. She looked over as Hellboy lightly nudged Liz's chin before getting into the crate and settled down. The other agents quickly nailed the last side of the crate into place while Liz walked over to Mouse.

"Agent Lemon is going to drive with you, I'm going to go with Agent Myers." She informed Mouse who nodded.

"Sounds good. I'll see you there."

"Listen up everyone! We'll be on channel seven." Manning called to everyone who was working at getting things together. "We're uh, going to the hotel, and then we'll be going to-"

"No way Manning! We need to get this done now!" Mouse called back to him.

"The girl's right, we settle this now." Hellboy agreed from inside the crate.

"You all feel that way?" he looked around at everyone who nodded. "Okay fine, we'll go to the graveyard first, and then we'll go to the hotel, but we won't make a move unless I say so." He pointed at everyone. "Don't forget, I am in charge.

"Like you'd let us forget." Mouse mumbled as she shut the door to the truck. Mouse kicked her feet up on the dashboard and put her sunglasses on as she rested her head against the window of the truck and shut her eyes. Agent Lemon got into the truck and started driving, following the convoy of trucks.

"So, how've you been?" he asked awkwardly.

"Josh, don't make it weird." She told him sharply making him chuckle.

"Yes ma'am." He replied. "I heard about that guy at the carnival."

"Yeah, we're going to have to have someone look into that. I can't have my reputation being set as a date ditcher. Especially when I had no idea it was a date." She replied.

"Oh come on Mouse, you aren't that oblivious, you know when a guy likes you."

"Look, it had just been awhile since I had gone out, okay?" she replied. "I was excited about going out and I wasn't paying much attention to him to be honest. There were other things on my mind." She turned on her cell phone, having turned it off while they were on the plane. She had gotten a text from nurse Gloria telling her that Abe had been let out of the glass cylinder and was in his own tank again.

"Like Abe Sapien?" he asked and she looked over at him.

"What about Abe?" she asked.

"Nothing, just, people have been talking." He shrugged.

"What have they been saying?"

"Just that you two seem particularly close is all." He replied.

"Well, sure, we're friends, he was the one who got me into the bureau." She shrugged.

"That's not what I mean and you know it." He replied with a small laugh as he looked at her.

"Can I help it if I'm a private person?" she smiled at him and he scoffed lightly.

"Sparky to Topo, come in." Mouse picked up the radio.

"Go for Topo." Mouse replied.

"We're turning onto that road up ahead, we think this is it."

" Thank god." Mouse replied.

"Look, all I'm saying is that you and Abe… You guys work, you know?" Josh mentioned as they followed the caravan.

"I'll take that into consideration." Mouse replied.

"Oh don't give me that Mouse," he joked with a grin. "You know as well as I do that you and Abe are practically perfect for each other."

"I also know that you said the same thing about you and I." Mouse looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Before you started dating that girl on the outside… What was that reason you gave me again? Because she was more available?"

"Because she was more accessible." Josh admitted before looking at Mouse. "You know I did care for you Mouse."

"I know." Mouse replied softly as she looked at the snow falling out the window.

"And I am sorry."

"I know you are Lemon." She muttered as they pulled up to the cemetery. "So how'd it go with her anyways?"

"We didn't work." He replied and she looked over at him.

"Why's that?"

"She was too available." He looked at her making her scowl lightly before punching his arm.

"Jerk." She muttered as he stopped the truck and parked. She let out a small whine as the heat turned off and then wrapped her scarf a little tighter. "Let's get this over with." She muttered as she got out of the car. They walked around to the other truck where the crate Hellboy was strapped down. "Nap time's over H.B." she called as one of the men pulled the front of the crate off.

"You're going to want to see this." Liz told Red who jumped out of the crate and stretched.

"How ya holdin' up Topo?" he asked as they trekked into the cemetery.

"I'm one snowflake away from being a snowman." She told him making him chuckle.

"Forget it!" Manning was whining as they walked through the cemetery. "We're never going to find Rasputin's mausoleum."

"Not with that attitude we aren't." Mouse replied as they walked.

"It's practically a city," Manning continued, ignoring Mouse who rolled her eyes with a small smile as she looked at Liz. "And it stinks, and it's muddy… I think we should uh, go back, check into the hotel and regroup." He suggested. "After breakfast." He looked around the cemetery. "I think what we have to do here is we have to make a grid, and we go in by quadrants."

"Are you going to say anything productive or are you just talking to hear the sound of your own voice?" Mouse asked. Red looked over at Mouse who rolled her eyes as Manning continued to talk. He sighed and then walked over and patted Manning on the shoulder.

"Let me ask for directions." He stated before he turned and walked away.

"Where ya goin'?" Manning asked, Red just continued to walk away.

"Stay Mouse," Red ordered as she started to follow. Mouse rolled her eyes and sat on the steps of one of the mausoleums. Liz sat down next to her and the two girls squeezed in next to each other, trying to warm each other up.

"This is ridiculous. I run this show. Not him." Manning complained. "This guy's nothing but trouble, nothing."

"I swear to god I'm about to start swapping skins and shutting off communication if it makes me go deaf for a few minutes." Mouse muttered.

"You know it could just put you into a coma." Liz pointed out.

"Even better." Mouse mumbled as she moved in closer to Liz. "I'll borrow his look, take control of this whole operation and I'll leave him to turn into a Man-sicle."

"Ten minutes and we leave him here." Manning stated.

"Will you shut up and let him do his thing?" Liz looked at Manning who shut up- for a second.

"Anyone got a power bar?" he asked.

"Hey- Hey, here he is!" Josh called as Red walked back over, carrying something over his shoulder.

"Oh god." Mouse wrinkled her nose.

"Sixty feet further comrades," Red stated. "And three rows in."

"What the hell is that on his back?" Manning muttered.

"This here is Ivan. Say hello Ivan." Red looked at the freshly animated corpse he held on his back who snarled something in Russian.

"Raising the dead?" Mouse asked as she walked alongside Red. "You know I could have found it." She looked at him, semi insulted.

"We don't know what's going to be down there. No offense Mousie, but I'd like to keep that super screech of yours charged up in case we need it."

"Point taken." Mouse replied softly before looking at Ivan who was leering at her. "Eyes forward if you wanna keep them in your head." She stated. Ivan said something in Russian and Red laughed. "What did he say?"

"I'll tell you when you're older." Red teased.

"Punk." Mouse muttered as they approached the mausoleum.

"Ivan says there's a whole network of tunnels down here- that it goes on for miles." Red told everyone. "So stay close everybody."

"You'd better be right about this." Manning sighed as he followed up in the lead.

"You sure this is safe?" Josh asked.

"We'll be safe as long as we don't separate." Red replied making Mouse and Meyers look at him in horror. Almost as if it was planned huge metal walls came up from the floor, separating them all to different passages. Mouse had jumped closer to Red when the ground had let off the initial vibration before the walls shot up, leaving her with Josh, Manning, Red and Ivan.

"We'll be fine if we don't separate." Mouse mimicked as she checked her cell phone. "No service." She muttered.

"Hey, Sparky," Red spoke to Liz through the communicator. "Tell everyone to turn their locator belts on. If anyone gets separated-"

"I'll say Marco," she replied.

"Polo." Red answered.

"Are you sure about this?" Meyers asked.

"On a scale of one to ten… Two. Don't worry boy scout, she'll take care of ya. She's a tough one." Red assured him while Manning pushed one of the walls, trying to get it to budge.

"Yeah that's going to work." Mouse commented as she chewed her fingernail.

"Hey," she looked over at Red who gave her a small nod. "Don't worry. I promised ya boyfriend I'd get ya home in one piece." Rather than contradicting him Mouse just smiled and nodded before looking at their passageway with a small sigh.

"Guess it's time to see what's down creepy tunnel number one." Mouse looked at Red with a small grin and he nudged her shoulder with a small smirk before they started to walk down the tunnel. "Oh look, catacombs. Ivan say hi, this could be your sister." Mouse poked one of the skulls as they passed, the skull turning to dust as she did.

"A face only a mother could love." Red quipped as they walked along before coming to a large stone bridge overlooking a huge metal mechanism.

"Ask your buddy how far this goes." Manning ordered Red who looked over the side, resting his rock hand on the metal railing. When he pulled it away the railing shifted before plummeting into the darkness, clanging and banging the entire way down.

"So much for the element of surprise." Mouse muttered as Red looked at Ivan.

"How you doing Ivan?" he asked. The corpse replied in Russian and Mouse rolled her eyes.

"Would you mind holding this guy for awhile? He is so negative." Red sighed as he handed Ivan to Josh. He shot her a pleading look and she raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah right." She scoffed before a metal mechanism started to turn, thus shutting the door they had just come through.

"Hey. Hey!" Manning shouted as he tried to stop the door from closing. "What the hell was that?!" he looked over at Red and Mouse.

"Something big." Mouse muttered as she shut her eyes, holding her hands out, trying to see what was going to happen next.

"Come with me." Red ordered Josh who nodded and started to follow after Mouse and Red who were walking across the stone bridge.

"No no no, STAY PUT!" Manning ordered as he marched over to Red. "Stop!" he ordered making both Mouse and Red stop. "You listen to me. Listen To Me! I'm in charge. We're gonna go back, you can take that door apart."

"It's coming." Mouse looked at Red. "It's coming here."

"You hear that, whatever it is, it's coming for us. Now we've gotta move forward! Now come on, let's go!"

"STAY PUT!" Manning demanded before looking at Red. "And YOU! I AM NOT AFRAID OF YOU. EITHER OF YOU FREAKS. I'M IN CHARGE. WE GO BACK." He ordered.

"Josh, Look Out!" Mouse shouted before a huge stone pendulum came out of nowhere, taking out the bridge where Josh stood. "Josh!" she went to move forward but Red caught her arm before looking over the side.

"Poor kid never stood a chance." He muttered. Mouse looked at Manning, about to chastise him for allowing someone she had known to die before she caught a glance of movement.

"Red-" she gasped. Red grabbed Manning quickly and threw him towards the rapidly closing door on the other side of the bridge as Mouse ran, putting all of her energy into her speed, she slid under the door, hitting the wall on the other side as everything went black. "Shit." She whispered holding a hand in front of her eyes.

"What's wrong with you?" Manning moved next to her, taking her elbow, helping her stand up.

"I put all my focus into my speed," she told him.

"Which means she can't see." Red told Manning after sliding under the door just as it closed.

"Well that's just great, here we are, stuck in this hall with no one around, no people, no communication, no- … Music…" Mouse frowned before the sound of music hit her ears.

"Kroenen." She whispered.

Okay hope you guys liked the chapter. I think I may be able to finish all of Hellboy 1 tonight and probably get into the time between movies.

Please don't forget to review!
