Okay guys, this is the last chapter of the first movie, it's going to continue into the time between movies and the second movie, but hey I'm proud of myself for finishing the first movie, okay?

Anyways, I hope y'all like it!

Disclaimer: I don't own anything you recognize, just Mouse.

Mouse struggled slightly, pulling at her bindings while Red let out a loud groan trying to break free from his bindings. "What are you-"

"Shh." She replied looking at Meyers.

"You are the key!" the bond girl shouted as she stood up. "The right hand of doom. Your stone hand. What did you think it was made for? Open the locks." She ordered.

"Don't do it Red! Don't do it!" Meyers shouted, only to have the blonde woman turn, swinging her mallet into his face.

"Silence." She ordered as Mouse winced. She looked between the two and then turned her attention back to Rasputin, looking from her master to Hellboy. "Imagine it, an Eden. For you and her." She nodded to Liz.

"No." Red muttered in response.

"No? In exchange for her soul then?" Rasputin asked as he moved towards Liz. He looked to the sky, Mouse followed his gaze and saw the full moon. "Open the door."

"No."

"As you wish." Rasputin moved next to Liz and lifted her head, using an unseen power, he was able to draw Liz's soul from her body as Red struggled against his bonds, screaming in protest.

"She's- She's-"

"Dead," Mouse looked at Meyers and nodded. "Yeah." She replied as tears stung at her eyes.

"Her soul awaits you on the other side. If you really want her back, open the door to claim her." Rasputin ordered as he approached Red, laying his hand on his head. Red shot up, trying desperately to break at his bonds. "Your true name is inscribed on the locks that hold you. You cannot break them… No matter how strong you are."

"The eclipse has begun." Mouse looked over at the Bond girl having forgotten she was there.

"For her." Red muttered softly, his head bowed in defeat. Mouse looked away as Rasputin approached Red and ripped the crucifix off of his wrist, before tossing it to the side. It landed next to her and Myers, a single tear rolling down Mouse's face.

"Your true name, say it. Become the key!" Rasputin insisted. "Anung—un-Rama; Repeat it."

"Anung-un-Rama." He repeated softly. The metal holding the locks into place fell to the ground, the lock falling with it. The carvings on Red's stone hand that Mouse had always admired started to glow dark orange as an orange glow surrounded his filed down horns, restoring them to what they would look like if he didn't file them down.

Red stood up as a crown of flames adorned his head, smoke exiting his mouth when he exhaled. Mouse turned away from him, drawing her knees to her chest as she buried her face in Myers' shoulder. He rested his cheek on the top of her head as he stared at what his new friend had become.

Red walked up to the stone tablet and put his hand inside the first lock, turning it, breaking the first seal and allowing a large beacon to shoot into the sky. Mouse squeezed her eyes shut, muttering to herself, making Myers look down at her. "What?" he asked softly. Mouse looked up at him, tears having run down her eyes as she shook her head before looking back at Red.

"State, state!" she shouted, pleading for Red to stop. He looked over at the two, Myers catching onto what she was doing. Using his own blood as a lubricant he was able to slip his hand from the handcuff keeping him bound. He reached out and took hold of the crucifix Rasputin had torn from Red's hand.

"Remember who you are!" he insisted as he held it out. Red turned and looked at the two, Myers throwing the crucifix to him; he reached out and caught it, looking at it as it burned the insignia of the cross into his palm.

"Quid pater cogitat?" Mouse asked softly, making him look at her as he dropped the crucifix. "What would he say?" she asked. The blonde turned around with her mallet, ready to strike when Myers kicked her feet out from under her and kicked her in the head, knocking her out. He was able to get his other hand out of his bindings and turned to help Mouse with hers.

"-Not a tear will shed for this world!" Rasputin was shouting at Red as he tried to convince him to break the last seal.

"You have a choice!" Myers shouted as he and Mouse walked over to Red, him holding the grenade belt.

"Your father gave you that." She told him, making him look at her. She met his eyes then he lowered them, to the necklace she was wearing.

"Father…" he breathed as Rasputin shouted frantically behind Red to open the door.

"Please Red-" Mouse stepped forward, Red looking back at her sharply, making her stop in her tracks. "The choice is yours." As soon as she said that Red's hands shot up to where he took hold of his massive horns and ripped them from his head making Rasputin step back in shock.

"What did you do?" Rasputin demanded as the beacon went out and the portal closed, leaving nothing but the dark night sky and the fading eclipse. Red turned slightly, swinging one of his horns into Rasputin's abdomen, making the man groan.

"I chose." Red hissed. He yanked it out and dropped the horns on the floor before turning to the stone table Liz's body was lying on.

"You will never fulfill your destiny. You will never fully understand the power inside you." Rasputin groaned as Red picked up Liz.

"I'll just have to find a way to live with that." Red replied before looking over his shoulder at Mouse. "Mouse." He nodded to Rasputin making Mouse walk over with a grin.

"And that's the power of love." She quoted one of her favorite songs before swinging her fist into the dying man's face. "And that was for the professor!" she shouted at him as she shook her hand out. Rasputin turned and looked back at her, making her stare in horror. "Red?" she asked as he started to walk away.

"Myers, let's go."

"Red…" she called again.

"Child," Rasputin looked at her, one of his eyes missing, "Look what you've done, you've killed me." a tentacle started to poke out of it.

"RED!" she shouted turning to him.

"I am an insignificant man. But I bring forth, a god." He held his hands out as tentacles rippled under his skin, making Mouse back up. The tentacles moved from his head down his body to the hole where Red had stabbed him, ripping apart at his skin until the hole was big enough for a large squid like monster to make its way out of his stomach.

"Oh god he's giving birth to calamari!" Mouse looked at Red in horror.

"Let's go," he turned to the door, leading Myers and Mouse out of the room.

The four of them made their way down the hall, Mouse right on Red's tail- figuratively speaking. "How the hell are we going to kill it?" she asked.

"I took a grenade belt." Myers told her.

"Great, set the time and let's go."

"We can't, it's broken." He shook his head, showing her where the blonde had smashed it to death with a mallet as Red set Liz down on the ground, brushing his fingers over her face lightly.

"Keep her safe will ya?" he asked, looking over his shoulder. Mouse and Myers both looked at him, before Mouse understood what was happening. "Whatever happens, don't leave her alone."

"I won't." Myers nodded.

"You're okay Myers," Red stood up and looked at the boy scout before thumping his shoulder. "Stick around."

"Hey Red," Myers sighed, turning and throwing Red the grenade belt.

"I didn't get you anything." Red said dryly. Mouse smiled lightly before looking down at Liz.

"Are you gonna be okay… Alone?" Myers asked.

"How big could it be?" Red grinned before a tentacle the width of a car came snaking around his waist and yanked him out of the room.

"What have I always told him about famous last words?" Mouse sighed before looking at Liz again, and then to Myers. "Shit- Take care of her!" she ordered him before turning and running down the hall after Red.

"Mouse!" Myers protested, but she ignored him, running to the room where the tentacle behemoth was as big as a house.

"Well I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going." Mouse muttered before seeing Red holding a large sword, trying to get to the grenade belt. The more tentacles he lobbed off trying to get to it, the more the creature seemed to send his way making mouse roll her eyes. "God help me," she crossed herself before running to the other side of the room and climbing onto a statue. "Hey! HEY! Over here you slimy undercooked appetizer!" she shouted.

"What the hell are you doing!?" Red grunted.

"Being a distraction?" she asked before looking at the large tentacle that was coming her way. "Um, Red, I'd cover my ears if I were you!"

"No can do Topo!" he grunted as he grabbed the grenade belt. She shrugged before taking a deep breath and focusing her energy before letting out one of her super sonic screams, the creature curling in on itself, grabbing Red as it did.

"Hey!" she shouted, trying to get it to drop him when she noticed.

"Drop it Topo!" he shouted. "It's the only way!" Looking at the grenade belts in his hand she suddenly understood what was going on. Mouse looked down the hall, before realizing she'd never have time. She looked to her left and saw a stone sarcophagus in the corner of the room, running over to it, she threw herself behind it just as the creature swallowed Red. A moment later the grenades started to go off, the creature swaying before exploding, showering the room in electric blue goo and body parts, as well as raining down one tired, beaten Hellboy.

"Ugh, who ordered the calamari?" Mouse groaned as she looked around the room.

"I think it was that dick Gregori." Red replied as he stood up.

"Well let's remember to send him the check." She sighed as she walked over to him, her boots squishing against the floor.

"You look like shit." Red commented as they walked down the hall.

"Have you looked in a mirror?" she asked.

"Touché."

After finding Liz and Myers, bringing her back, and a nice long kiss shared between Red and Liz, they found the remaining members of their party, Manning, and gave everyone the run down of what had happened.

They were in Russia for another week doing clean up, damage control, and resting, Mouse had broken three ribs and fractured her shoulder and was forced to wear a sling. The first day she slept the entire day, not even Red's usual methods could wake her. Liz later admitted to her that they thought she had actually gone into a coma this time until she delivered a well placed kick to Red that made him slink out of the room with his tail between his legs- literally. After that they just decided to let her sleep.

The next day she ate nearly as much as Red did, building back her strength she had used, though her arm in the sling made it next to impossible to eat. When they were finally going home Mouse spent the entire plane ride reading before Red came over and sat next to her. "What'cha readin' kid?" he asked.

"Jane Eyre." She replied. "It's my favorite."

"Huh," he nodded before be took her hand and turned it so he could put something in her palm. When she opened her hand she realized it was the crucifix. She looked at him curiously and he shrugged. "You hold onto it." He told her. "You reminded me who I was when I thought I had forgotten. You never know when I may need you to do that for me again."

"What about Liz?" Mouse asked.

"Liz," he looked over his shoulder and smiled at the dark haired girl who was checking on Myers' injuries. "I love 'er, but… You're family Mouse. I need ya."

"You got it Red." She nodded softly as he stood up.

"Oh, and Mouse," he turned and looked at her slyly as she put the crucifix over her neck. "Your Latin's a little rusty. You may wanna talk to Abe about that." He winked before he turned and walked over to Liz, wrapping his arm around her shoulder as he sat down.

When they got to the BPRD it seemed like everyone was there to welcome them home and congratulate them. After shaking hands with what felt like a million people, Mouse looked around the room while people rushed to talk to Manning and Hellboy, both of whom were very gladly talking about what had happened.

When Mouse saw Abe he was standing near the back of the room, watching the commotion, but not getting involved. She moved through the people walking over to him with a grin before noticing his eyes land on her arm. She looked down at her left arm and internally cursed. She had meant to take the stupid sling off before going to see him.

"You were wounded." Abe spoke up and Mouse nodded.

"Hairline fracture in my shoulder," she explained. "And a couple broken ribs… And a large number of other various cuts and bruises." She nodded before shaking her head.

"You never should have gone," he muttered softly making Mouse sigh.

"Yeah, well, I'm glad I did," she told him making him meet her eye. "Because if I didn't, then I wouldn't have almost died, and if that didn't happen, then I wouldn't have been brave enough to do this," she said before stepping forward and pressing her lips to his.

Mouse didn't know what she was expecting, but for Abe to kiss her back was not at the top of the list. One of his hands reached up to cup her face, the other staying on her waist as he drew her closer. When the kiss ended she looked at him with a small smile, her good arm was wrapped around his neck, careful not to jostle his breathing apparatus.

"I think I love you Abe," she told him.

"I know," he replied, holding up his hand, making her smile lightly. "And I also know, that I love you too." He told her. She smiled brightly before leaning in and kissing him again. When they broke apart he looked down at her before wrapping his arm around her waist. "Come on,"

"Where are we going?" Mouse asked.

"To the medical wing, to get your shoulder checked out." He told her making her smile and nod with a small chuckle.

"Whatever you say Abe." she grinned as she leaned into his touch.
