Sookie spent her day's sleeping comfy along side Eric and her nights watching every move Levi made. It had been weeks since the strange bar tender appeared out of nowhere willing to jump and fetch at Eric's will but she was no idiot she knew there was a reason he was there and she would spend every dead minute trying to find out what it was.

It was another boring night at Fangtasia; the fang bangers were in full force as usual wearing their black leather and lace each one hoping they would be picked from the crowed and ravaged by a vampire. Sookie chuckled every time she thought about the poor humans pining after the vampire life, if they only knew she thought as she sat center stage staring off into the distance trying to appear uninterested.

The crowed was heavy surrounding the stage but it took little effort to hear Levi chatting up the beer delivery guy as he singed for a last minute delivery of Bud. It was odd for a delivery to be made during open hours but Sookie didn't put much thought into it she had another five minutes on stage and then she would take her usual seat close the bar where she could keep her eyes on the newbie.

Sookie was thankful when the crowed parted as she walked off stage the smell of human sweat and liquor polluted blood was gagging to her she had gotten use to a fresher taste in blood and a usual B+ was her favorite. Eric had told her years Ago that the older a vampire was the longer he could go without blood and Sookie had noticed the closer she got to her one year birthday of being a vampire the less she felt the need to feed; that was unless she lost her temper then any and everything warm and red was fair game.

Finally the bar was closing and Pam was shuffling the last of the drunken frat boys that had been ogling her all night out the door. Sookie watched as Levi danced around behind the bar tossing glasses and dusting the ash trays, just his presence had the ability to make her blood boil and she hated him for it. She had been working so hard to keep herself calm and stay out of trouble she had no choice because she could see the toll all of this was taking on Eric.

Just then she realized she hadn't seen Eric since she fed in his office earlier that evening just before she went on stage. Sookie looked up at Levi who was still dancing around the bar and walked toward Eric's office,

"Eric" she knocked quietly on his office door hoping she wasn't interrupting something important

"Eric" she knocked again but nothing; it was strange Eric never stayed in his office during open hours he usually took his seat next to hers hoping she wouldn't loose her cool but tonight there was different he hadn't followed her out into the bar and now that she thought about it he stayed seated behind his desk while she fed when he normally stood beside her incase she got carried away.

Sookie pushed the door open rushing into the empty room no sign of Eric anywhere not even a note he would have known she would be looking for him why would he just take off without telling her. She started to think the worst she had been so use to Eric following her every step and watching over her that she couldn't imagine him doing anything else unless there was fowl play.

A gust of wind blew past Pam throwing her backward and over the booth next to the bar, before she could get to her feet Sookie's hand was wrapped tightly around Levi's neck as she flew into the air her grip tight as they slammed into the ceiling.

"Where is he?" her grip tightened slowly

"Where is Eric?" she screamed sinking her fangs into his forearm and tearing his flesh.

"Sookie, Sookie what are you doing" Pam yelled toward the pair as they hovered above her,

"Eric had to leave he told me to tell you he would see you at home" Sookie looked at her confusion filling her eyes as she lowered Levi back to his feet.

"Where did he have to go in such a hurry" her tone was less murderous with every passing second,

"I don't know he said something about a meeting and he left why would you be going after little Levi anyway he couldn't do anything to Eric."

Levi flashed a smile at Pam as he wiped the blood off of his already healing arm and went back to dancing and cleaning up the bar as if nothing had happened. Sookie stared at him her rage still pushing her to attack not because of Eric's absence anymore but his just being there was eating away at her.

She turned and walked out the door pushing her emotions aside she had to behave she had done enough damage already by thinking the worst and attacking Levi and she knew Eric wouldn't be to happy with her when he found out. She flew into the night air heading straight home hoping to find Eric there but once again there was no sign of him only a empty house for her to sit and stew in her thoughts.

It was just before dawn when Eric walked through the door his face was cold and stiff as he walked pat her and pulled a true blood form the fridge.

"Go ahead yell at me" Sookie assumed he had talked to Pam about what had happened between her and Levi at the bar.

"Yell at you for what?" his face was still stiff with anger but his tone was confused,

"Did you talk to Pam?" Eric looked at her and he knew whatever she was referring to wouldn't be good. He pulled a chair from under the table and slumped down into it,

"What happened?"

"Well you left and I didn't know, you didn't tell me and neither did Pam so when I went to the office to look for you and you weren't there I lost it and attacked Levi because I thought he had done something to you." Sookie rushed the words out of her mouth before slumping into the chair next to him awaiting her punishment.

Eric laughed as he rubbed his hands over his face it was such a human reaction and it left her feeling confused;

"You thought Levi hurt me a thousand year old vampire and you attacked him, did he survive?" Eric laughed again.

Sookie sat staring at him something was wrong here she wasn't sure what it was but Eric's normal reaction to hearing that she had attacked someone even if it was a vampire had never been laughter.

"Eric are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm just peachy, tired but peachy"

"Did you kill Levi?" Eric turned to look her in the face,

"No, if you didn't know about what happened at the bar why were you so angry?"

Eric took another drink of his True Blood and leaned back in his chair

"I got a call form one of Nan Flanagan's underlings saying she wanted to meet with me for an update on you right away, so I went to meet with her and I was left waiting in the middle of nowhere and she never showed up."

Sookie was confused why would that make him so mad sure she understood that he had waited his time waiting around for her but he hated talking to her anyway so her showing up should have been a relief.

"So you were mad that she didn't show up?"

"No Sookie don't you get it she is up to something and I can't figure out what, with Levi being here and then mysterious meetings in the woods where no one shows up she's plotting something I know it"

Sookie could feel the sun pulling at her so she took Eric's hand pulling him up from his chair and leading him into their dark cubby where the went to rest for the day.

The next evening Sookie awoke to Eric pacing the floor his cell phone pressed to his ear and his eyes piercing wholes into her,

"crash the truck and shred the body through the woods make it look like an animal helped itself to the body I will be there as soon as I can."

"Body what body?" Sookie hated the look in his eyes as he hung up the phone it was a mix of anger, disappointment and stress it was the look she had seen more often than not since she had been turned.

"What body" she stood from the bed pulling her clothes on at vampire speed; Eric stared down at her

"Are these the clothes you were wearing last night?" Sookie looked down at her black leather pants and silk blouse and nodded

"Yeah why?" before she could blink Eric ripped the shirt from her body sniffing it and inspecting it and then her pants.

"Did you come straight home last night?" Sookie looked at him trying to figure out why he was asking her that

"Yes, what body"

"Sookie don't lie to me, did you come straight home last night"

"Yes why" she could feel the back of her throat starting to burn and staying calm was becoming harder by the minute.

"What fucking body Eric"

"Did you come straight home last night, you didn't stop until you got home" he sniffed the spot where Levi's blood had ran onto her shirt a second time.

"Don't fucking lie to me" Eric grabbed her shoulders slamming her backward into the wall " I am trying to protect you and your fucking lying."

Sookie couldn't help herself she knew she was stronger than Eric and she knew she could hurt him but it was to late his screaming at her and shoving her was more than she could bear. Eric saw it coming and he knew he had made a mistake but Sookie's hand flew up crashing down on his head and he slumped to the floor as the blood poured from his ears and eyes.

Sookie stopped immediately stepping back into the corner and crying into her hands she hadn't killed him she knew that but she had hurt him badly and it would take a minute for him to heal. She sat waiting knowing that this was the end of whatever was love that was holding him to her she had gone to far and Eric's pride would never allow him to stay with her now.

It was almost an hour later when Eric sat up from the blow his eyes were burning with rage and it was all for her there was no disappointment and no love that she could see.

"They found a body in the woods near the bar our regular beer delivery guy he was drained and chewed up." Eric stood up and walked over to where she had been sitting,

"oh and there's human blood on your shirt" he said tossing it at her as he walked away from her without looking back.

Sookie stayed sitting on the cold floor for what seemed like hours after Eric left she knew she had come straight home after she left the bar the only person she had had any issue with had been Levi. How could Eric not believe her she had been doing so good and he pushed her he knew she would react to that he had to have known. The bloody tears streamed down her face as she rocked back and forth trying to figure out how it had gotten this bad,

"Sookie" his voice made her jump from where she had been sitting.

"Did you eat today" she shook her head and slumped back to the floor

"I'm not hungry" her eyes stayed fixed on the pool of blood the had poured from Eric head.

"Hey Sook you need to come out here Eric sent me but I don't wanna come in there" Sookie reach up grabbing her robe from the bed and wrapping it around her before walking out into the kitchen to see Jason sitting at the table with a young girl.

"Sook this is Kali she is a donor, Eric asked me to bring her here so you could eat before you go to Fangtasia,"

"I'm not hungry and I'm not going to the bar tonight so you can go."

She didn't bother to look at him as she turned and walked out of the room; a hot shower and another stream of bloody tears was all Sookie could manage for the next couple of hours. She knew that if Eric hadn't came back to check on her that she didn't want to be there when he came back at dawn. Sookie packed a bag a pulled her car out of Eric's garage; she hadn't driven since she figured out she could fly but tonight wasn't a night for flying she had just done the worst thing she could have done and honestly she just wanted to feel normal again.

Sookie drove to the house Humming Bird Lane it had been months since she had stepped foot inside; technically the house was no longer hers but Jason had a house of his own and he wouldn't sell it without her permission so that meant it was empty. The night went by fast as Sookie sat alone staring off into space trying to figure out how she could have gotten human blood on her blouse the night before.

Her cell phone rang several times but she had no interest in talking to anyone, at dawn she climbed down into the hidden cubby and slept for the day hoping that when she woke the next evening things would get better.

"Sookie" she had to be dreaming he wasn't really there,

"Sookie what did you do" she sat up groggily trying to focus her eyes on his beautiful face.

"Eric?"

She tried to focus but her eyes felt heavy and sticky,

"What did you do?" his voice boomed through the room making her jump to her feet looking at him confused,

"Why are you here, what did I do what did I do know?" Sookie through her hands in the air and looked around the room in shock;

"Oh god oh, what the fuck is this, who did this" she was shocked as she blood that covered the bed and floor where she was laying and the bloody body the lay stiff in the bed next to her. Sookie screamed throwing herself into Eric's arms "did I do this."
