A/N: Turns out I this is the last chapter, you could even call it an epilogue, but either way I hope you guys like it:)

Beth looked outside the window of her room. It had only been 2 weeks since she left Mystic Falls, but she was still upset. She had just gotten Kol back, the one person she loved more than anything in the world and he hadn't gone after her. She thought that him of all people would've done that. Elijah has been trying to convince her that he's just still trying to get used to being alive but she knew he was wrong. "I doubt the scenery of the trees are going to change, love."
She smiled weakly over at Klaus. "You never know."
He sat down on the couch besides her as she curled up under his arm. They managed to have gotten to some kind of common ground. He loved her, but he didn't know if she would ever get over Kol. That kind of love, it never died. "You are beautiful, he doesn't deserve you." He repeated what he had been saying for weeks but she never believed.
"Because he didn't come after me Klaus. He just cares about killing Elena. I-I thought meant more to him than just a means to getting his revenge. I thought we'd finally be able to be happy together." She looked away as the tears flooded to her eyes. This was hurting just as much as when he really died. She coughed into her arm. She wasn't feeling any better and she was worried that it was side effects from doing the spell.
He brushed her hair back. "He loves you, Lizzy. He may be acting an ass as of right now, but he does. "That's something I'm sure of." He tried to cheer her up. "Come on. There is a whole city out there that you've barely seen and there is much to be explored. I'm not taking no for an answer either. Get up. We are going out there." He ordered. She sighed dramatically as she got to her feet. "Good, now go change. You've been in your night clothes for 2 days."
She marched upstairs, dragging her feet with her. "Sir, yes, sir." She agreed sarcastically but hurried upstairs before he dragged her up.
As she got dressed, she couldn't help but keep her necklace on. The one that she loved, even though it held the picture of her and Kol. She couldn't bear to part with it. Even if she was angry and upset, she felt like a part of her would be missing if she didn't at least keep it on her person. "I'm coming!" She called as Klaus yelled up the stairs for her. She grabbed it hiding it under her shirt and hurried out.

Beth walked the streets of New Orleans, after she had ditched Klaus, she had managed to go and see Sophie. The witch had been quite helpful as they've gotten closer due to Klaus agreeing to help with the Marcel situation. After Beth had been curious about a certain type of spell she looked it up and gave her everything she needed to do it, since she couldn't help out herself, she was still very appreciative of it. She was now heading home since she agreed to be back before it got too dark. "Now, why would Klaus let someone as beautiful as you out of his sights for so long?"
She restrained the urge to roll her eyes as she turned to face a grinning Marcel. "Perhaps, because I don't belong to him or anyone." She told him, making it crystal clear on that matter so that he didn't' get any ideas. He chuckled as he took a step towards her.
"You're feisty. I see why he likes you."
She turned around to face the old vampire. "What do you want?" She asked him bluntly. She wasn't in the mood to be playing games, especially not now. She wanted to hurry up and get home to get started on this spell. This could be exactly what she needs.
"I want to make sure that you're safe. I mean, you're all alone in this big city, the last thing you want is to be alone, walking down the street."
She rolled her eyes at him. "Well, I'm fine, actually. So thank you for the concern but I do not need an escort." She turned on her heel and walked away, half expecting that he would follow. After a few blocks she slowed down to a slow walk, glad that he didn't question her about her magic. As far as she knew no one here knew that she was a witch except Sophie.
Beth smiled as she walked towards her house but not before running into someone. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going." She bent down to hurry to put her things back in her bag.
"It's quite alright, darling." She froze at hearing those words. She looked up to see the same brown eyes that made her heart race every time she saw him. "You look even more beautiful, if that's possible." She couldn't think. Her mind took town to speed up with the moment and when it did she slapped him. He sighed touching his cheek. "I guess I deserved that."
"Damn right you did." She snapped as she got to her feet to walk past him but he grabbed her arm and swung her back around to him. "Let me go!"
He sighed. "You have every right to be angry with me. I'm sorry, Elizabeth. I'm so sorry. I've missed you." He admitted to her softly. That pulled at her heart a little. She more then missed him too. She still loved him and seeing him now just brought all those feelings to life. He could sense that as he stroked back her hair from her face.
She moved away from him. "What? Elena is too protected for you to get revenge or did you finally realize that I might be worth your time?" She snapped as she teared up. All the anger and pain that she'd kept bottled up for weeks were finally spilling out at him. He felt guilty for making her cry.
"I'm sorry, please don't cry. I hate seeing you cry." He pleaded with her, but nothing he said seemed to calm her down, only anger her more. "You have every right to hate me, Elizabeth. I won't deny that. I should've dropped it. I should've came with you. I'm deeply sorry for that, but I'm here now. I'm here, Elizabeth. We can be together."
She scoffed pulling away to wipe her eyes. "Together? I wanted to be with you! I wanted to finally have a life with you! I wanted to put all of Mystic Falls behind us and be together, but apparently it wasn't good enough for you. How do I know that you won't just flake on me again?" She asked seething with anger turning away to walk away but he grabbed her arm. "Let me go."
"Let me walk you home, at least." He pleaded with her. It was dangerous there. There were vampires everywhere. The last thing he wanted was for her to get hurt because she didn't want to be around him. "Just that, love, please."
She hesitated. She nodded slowly. He sighed in relief and walked besides her as they made their way back to the mansion. They were silent, as she didn't want to speak to him and the last thing he wanted was to make things even worst between them. It wasn't that long of a walk, but it felt like an hour with the awkward silence between them. "I-I followed you from the restaurant. I wanted to make sure you were safe, but I know about the spell." He revealed. She said nothing. "I know that you hate me right now, but the spell is dangerous. I don't want you to get hurt again. Even if it did work, why would you want all of your old memories back?" He asked her cautiously.
She was silent for a few minutes before answering the Original. "I want to know who I am. I'm sick of having all of these memories lost to me, important memories. I want to know what I've become, if I was a good person, if I could be better. If I'm strong enough. I just...I want to know this." She looked down trailing off. He looked at her surprised.
"You are. You're an amazing person, Elizabeth. You always have been. You're beautiful, smart, kind, brave. You're the strongest person I know." He told her honestly as they stopped in front of the house. "I'm telling you the truth." He looked away before continuing. "I took you for granted, Elizabeth. I never realized how much it'd affect you, if something happened to me. I had to watch you go through pain because of me and I never want that happening again. I'm sorry. I truly am. I'll be more careful."
Before she could respond, the door to the mansion opened to reveal Klaus standing there. He looked surprised and angry to say the least at seeing Kol there, after what he put Elizabeth through. "Goodbye, Kol." She told him quickly as she walked up the steps into the house, disappearing behind Klaus.
"Brother." Kol nodded at the hybrid.
He zipped him into a tree. "You have some nerve, brother. Coming here after what you did to her, after how you made her feel. I know that you've had some stupid moments but I think this most of all takes the bloody cake." He snarled but was quickly pushed off by the younger Mikaelson. "What are you doing here anyways?"
"I've come for her. I screwed up. You don't think I know that? I regretted my decision every day. I just knew I needed to come back here. I'm sorry for any remorse that I've caused her or pain, but I'm here to fix that. I'm not leaving till I do, either. So you can threaten me all you want, but I'm not leaving." He told him determined.
Klaus looked at his eyes. He seemed genuine and it was clear to all of them that Elizabeth still loved him more than anyone. And seeing her walk in, there seemed to be a bit more life in her after seeing Kol. "You can take a room near the west wing, but if you hurt her again, brother. I promise you, that you'll regret it." He warned him seriously.
Kol sighed in relief. Elizabeth would listen to his siblings, if not him. "I won't. I promise. I just...I want her back. I want to acquit myself for her, no matter how long it takes, I want to do that." He told him honestly. He couldn't lose her now, not when he was finally back and they were out of Mystic Falls. They could be together like how they were meant to.
Klaus nodded, still tense and walked into the house with his brother. "Trust me, you're going to need to convince her a lot more than you'll need to convince me."

After spending the rest of the day in her room, Elizabeth decided to sit on the roof. It was late at night and it was a good time to be outside. No vampires came near Klaus' home. They knew better than that, and it felt good to have the air rush through her face. She loved the fact that she could see the stars clearly from where she was. "I thought that I'd find you up here." She sighed as she heard the familiar Original.
Kol cautiously sat besides her on the roof. "Please, don't leave. I just want to talk, love." He pleaded with her, his eyes desperate for her attention.
She looked down going "There doesn't seem to be much to talk about, Kol. You left, now you're back. Nothing's really changed. You'll just leave again." She scoffed as tears began to flood her eyes and she quickly wiped them away before they fell.
He grabbed her hand stroking her cheek with his other one. "That's not true, darling. You have no idea how much I regret making you feel like that. You always meant so much for me. And I knew that you were better than me, you always have been. I'm sorry, I should've ran after you the night that you left. I just...I've always loved you, Elizabeth. That's the only thing I've ever been completely certain of in my life is how much I've loved you and I always will love you, even if you don't love me. I didn't fight before, when I lost you in the 1800's, when I came back, but I am now and I won't stop. Not until someone can physically stop me. I love you, Elizabeth. I will always love you." He kissed her softly before pulling away, hoping there would be some other gesture other than a slap.
She looked shocked at his confession but she didn't slap him. "Why is it that no matter what you do, I forgive you?"
He gave her a weak smile. "Because you love me just as much as I love you, Elizabeth. And I will do anything I have to get you to trust me again. Believe me on that." He asked her seriously.
She kissed him back. "That's going to involve a lot of grovelling."
He smiled at her. "I think I can handle that." He helped her down from the room as they came back into her room. He sat down with her and kissed her head as she laid it down on his shoulder. He gently stroked her arm as he listened to her breathing. "What are you going to do about the spell? Do you still think you want to remember."
"I'm not sure. I think I'll just keep it just in case. Besides, I can't do big spells while I'm sick."
That caught him off guard. "Y-you're what?"
She looked up at him. "I'm sick. I think it's a side effect of doing the spell." He looked worried, scared was more like it, but he shook it off. He wasn't going to be scared, she needed him to be brave. He knew that. He kissed her hand, reassuring her. She smiled at that, already becoming calm with him in her presence. She loved how he did that.
"We'll fix it." He promise her. "I'll make you better. I refuse to lose you again, to death nor my own stupidity." She smiled weakly as he kissed her and she wrapped her arms around him, savoring the feeling of being in his strong, protective arms. She had missed it so much. This was one place that she felt absolutely safe in the world. She refused to lose him either. Even if meant that the only solution was to turn into a vampire.
A/N: Okay guys! This is is! It's actually the last chapter of Misguided Love. I know I kind of left it at a small cliffhanger, but that was the best ending I could think of. This might be the last of Beth, I'm not sure, but I'd like to see how the Originals goes before I commit to anything but if you guys want more of Elizabeth with the Originals, feel free to leave a review or send a PM. Thank you for everyone who has stuck through me for this story. You have no idea how happy I am that you all like it. Thank you!:)
