A/N – Thanks for the comments and for reading this one. It makes me happy that others like my favorite non-couple. This one was fun, and I'll miss it. I'll probably be posting a Liaison fic after I return from vacation (7/10) if I have enough written (slight chance for me to start earlier – we shall see). I couldn't decide what fic I wanted to work on. It may be a shorter one while I continue to write my other choice.
Chapter 21
For the next few weeks, the sisters were inseparable, but Layla had to leave for a photo shoot.
"I love you, Vangie."
"I love you too."
"I like him. After seeing you together, you just fit. He loves you, and I think he'd do anything for you."
Eva grinned. "I'm not planning on letting him go." While Jason is an unlikely soul mate, that is how she thinks of him.
"Good, because I need a nephew and niece at some point."
"Eventually…"
"I'm going to miss you so much."
"Ditto. What about Johnny?" They had gotten a little hot and heavy.
"He's dreamy. We're going to try and figure it out."
"Good." She thinks they can do it, but it will take a bit of work.
"Have fun with mom."
Eva rubbed her belly. "I plan on keeping her chained to the kitchen."
Layla chuckled. "I don't blame you."
Johnny grabbed her luggage. "You ready?"
She nodded and then hugged her sister.
"Text me when you land."
"I will."

Jason watched as Lisa appeared in the baggage area.
She smiled when she spotted them, and Eva met her halfway.
"Everything quiet?"
Eva nodded. "Yes." The rumors had spread, and nobody was willing to risk tangling with Jason, so while they are always careful, it had been much easier to roam around the cabin. Carly had accepted the will and stayed away. Jason isn't sure the distance will last in the long run, but for Morgan's sake, he hopes she doesn't screw up.
"Good. He looks kind of scared. Did you make up stories about me?"
"Like I had to."
Lisa shook her head. "He does look handsome though." Jason is wearing a dress shirt and pants. While he likes wearing jeans, he had to make some changes due to the business.
"Hello, Jason."
He is surprised when she hugs him, but he returns it.
"Hi, Mrs. Williamson."
"You may call me Lisa, remember?"
"Okay."
She almost chuckled due to his awkwardness. It's kind of cute.
After a few minutes, she pointed and Jason grabbed her bags, so they headed to the SUV where Logan is waiting. Once they got back home, Lisa asked if they had set a date.
"We have. It's in two months. Your invitation will be at your house by the time you get home."
"I'll make sure I clear my schedule. Do you need help with anything?"
"I thought maybe we could go to the Q's tomorrow and talk about it."
"That sounds good. Are you having it there?"
"The ceremony will be at a church. We're going to run a shuttle bus between it and the mansion, so people don't have to worry about driving. They can park at the house and if they drink too much, valets will run them home."
"That's very responsible."
Eva shrugged. "It will work."
"What about a honeymoon?"
"We're thinking about Paris. He's willing to take one for the team so I can see lots of shows and museums."
Lisa eyed him. "You don't mind?"
"I'll probably be too busy watching her watching the show, so it's fine."
Lisa smiled. "What is your favorite food?"
"I'm more of a steak and mashed potatoes person."
"Let me guess, you're not much into vegetables?"
He shook his head.
"Maybe I'll change your mind."
"You can try."
Eva chuckled. "Trust me, I've tried practically everything."
"Did you make collard greens?"
"Not yet, but I did make fried cabbage."
"It wasn't that bad," Jason said. It's just not something he'd ask for.
"Hmm… I like a challenge," Lisa said.
"If it comes from a cow, he's pretty much into it," Eva said.
"True," Jason said.
"Have you made baked macaroni and cheese yet?"
"Yes. Layla insisted."
Jason put his arm around Eva. "It was good."
"I don't think your taste buds are broken, so I'm just gonna perk them up a bit. Do you like spicey?"
"Yes."
She patted his leg. "You leave it to me then."
There is a knock on the door. "You have a visitor."
"That is my surprise," Lisa said before standing.
Eva followed her lead and when Nora came into view, she squealed and ran to her friend.
"Oh, my God! It's so good to see you."
Nora laughed. "I missed you."
"Me too."
Jason moved toward them.
Nora's eyes widened. "So, you are the one that captured her heart." He looks even better in person.
He slightly smiled. "She captured mine too."
"Good answer." She hugged him. "Well, it's nice to meet you."
"Likewise."
She waved to Lisa.
"Come sit."
Once they were situated, Eva and Nora began to catch up.
"You stare at her a lot, don't you?" Lisa asked. They are sitting off to the side.
Jason nodded. "I can't help it.
"Are you getting her a gift for the wedding?"
"Yes, but I haven't been able to find anything. You up for a shopping trip?"
Lisa nodded. "Now?"
"Yes."
"Okay."
They stood, getting the women's attention.
"We're going out," Jason said.
Eva's eyes narrowed. "Just out?"
"Yup," Lisa said grabbing her purse. When Jason held out his arm, she gripped it, and then they headed to the door.
"What do you think that was about?" Nora asked.
"Not sure, but he must seriously want all the things I promised him if he didn't kill her."
Nora cracked up. "I'm scared to ask."
"You don't want to know." Sex with that man is otherworldly, but that's their business.
"I found a dress."
Eva is excited. "Let me see."
They spent the next hour talking about the wedding and making plans.
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiI
Jason led Lisa into another jewelry store. She had assured him that she is fine and can handle a shopping spree.
"Mr. Morgan, how can I help you?"
"I stopped in the other day, but you weren't here."
"Yes, my son told me. I'm glad you came back." Jason had purchased something for his mom a few years prior as well as his girlfriend at the time. Money is never an option, which means a nice commission. "What are you looking for?"
"I'm not sure. I want to give my wife a wedding gift."
The man smiled. "Congratulations."
"Thank you."
"I'll be right back."
He went into the back and returned with a few boxes. When he opened the first one, Jason shook his head, but when he saw the second one, it drew a gasp from Lisa. It's a beautiful diamond necklace.
"I like it," Jason said.
"She'll love it." She can't imagine what that must cost since it's all diamonds.
The man smiled and then placed a smaller box in his hands.
Jason opened it to find a beautiful pair of diamond earrings.
"Is she wearing her hair up?"
"I'm not sure," Lisa said. "Those would go either way and they do match."
"I'll take them."
Something caught his eye and he pointed to it, so the man pulled out the tray and placed it on the counter.
"What is that?" Lisa asked.
"It's a yellow diamond. They are very rare and that is a very high quality." Normally, he doesn't even display it, but knowing that Jason was probably coming back, he had taken the risk.
"It would look beautiful on her."
Lisa lifted it. "It's stunning." It's the perfect size for Vangie's hand.
"I'll take that too."
"What's her size?"
Jason rattled it off.
"I'll need to size it. Can you pick it up in a few days?"
"Sure." Jason handed him an Amex black card.
"I'll be right back."
He turned to Lisa who looked shocked.
"I make a lot of money and I don't spend a lot on myself. It doesn't mean a lot to me, but I want to give her everything. I know she doesn't need it, but I'm not always good with words. Sometimes, I want to show her differently how much I value her."
She is surprised he had said so much. "The fact that you want to spoil my daughter, not because it will make you look good, but because you love her so much means a lot to me." Jason was a safe choice in so many ways that it is ironic.
The man returned and Jason signed the receipt. He thinks he understands Lisa very well. She was hard on the girls because she wanted to instill values, so they'd be successful. After her husband died when Eva was sixteen, she had to do everything and worked very hard. Family is everything to her, but Eva thinks she's lonely. While she's involved in her church and community, she rarely takes any time off for herself.
They got in the car, and he took an envelope out of the glove compartment.
"What's this?"
"I know this is going to be hard for you to accept, but you work hard, and we wanted to do something nice for you."
"After seeing you in action, that scares me."
He grinned. "Promise me you won't reject it. Eva worked hard putting it together. You mean everything to her, and she wants you to be happy."
"Does she think I'm not?"
"I think she worries about you being alone."
Lisa sighed. "I'm fine. I have a lot of friends and I love helping people."
"But sometimes, you have to let your kids take care of you too."
She slowly opened the envelope and then gasped. "Oh, my God."
"There is plenty of dates to choose from."
Lisa wiped a tear away. "My husband took me on a cruise when they were in junior high. I had a wonderful time."
"It goes to Greece and Italy. It's not a huge ship despite how it looks, because she wanted you to not be overwhelmed. The best part: is you can take whoever you want."
She can't believe her daughter had done this. "I—this is too much." It looks like she pulled out all the stops on this one.
"It's not. When you're ready to decide, there is a number you can call. Everything will be paid for." He won't tell her that she's on a private jet yet. "You'll even spend some time on land."
"A whole month?" she yelled.
"Yes. I travel a lot and you'll need the time to explore. Please say you'll accept it."
She laughed and cried. It's the trip of her dreams. Quickly, she undid her seat belt and moved to lay a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you, Jason. I think you're both crazy, but I'm so excited." Her best friend will be happy to accompany her. It should be a blast.
He smiled. "Good."
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiI
Eva nervously gazed into the mirror.
"You look stunning," Layla said making her sister smile.
"Thank you. Johnny's eyes are going to fall out when he sees you."
Layla laughed. "I hope so." She is so taken with the Irishman that she had made her agent book the next three months in the city so she could be closer by.
Nora is her matron of honor and Layla is a bridesmaid.
For Jason, Johnny is the best man and Francis is his groomsman. They wanted to keep it on the smaller side and are having it at a small interdenominational church. Also, they requested that Francis marry them again, and he was excited to do so.
"I'm so happy for you," Nora said before handing her a jewelry box.
"What's this?"
"Something new from your husband."
She grinned and when she opened the box and saw the necklace and earrings she almost choked.
"Dear God, he has good taste."
Lisa grinned. "He loves you a lot. You have him whipped."
Eva fought her tears. "It's stunning."
They helped her put on the set and then she looked in the mirror.
"Wow," she whispered.
"Are you ready?" Nora asked.
"Yes."
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiI
Jason is so taken with her beauty that Francis thought he was going to fall over.
Alan had done the honor of walking her down the aisle. After he handed her off to her husband, he sat next to his wife.
The ceremony was brief but emotional because they had said their own vows. When Francis pronounced them man and wife again, everyone stood and cheered as they kissed.
They are swarmed by well-wishers, never noticing that John had watched from the back of the church and then left.
The reception was a lot of fun and Johnny and Layla caught the garter and bouquet.
Lila was so happy to see Jason so in love. Knowing that he has someone so wonderful to watch over him made her feel at peace because she can't be around forever.

Two Years Later
Jason brushed a tear off Eva's cheek. "She's beautiful."
Eva grinned. "She's perfect."
Edward cleared his throat as he pushed Lila forward.
Jason stepped backward. "Hi."
Lila grinned. "We won't stay long, but I had to see her."
Eva handed the baby to Jason who carefully put her in her great-grandmother's arms.
"This is Jayla Lila Morgan."
"So beautiful," Lila said as the baby stared at her. "Oh, my goodness, I think she's going to look just like you, Eva." The baby has her eyes.
"They are already plotting against me," Jason said.
Lila giggled. "I can't wait to watch her wrap you around her finger."
"She won't even need to try." He's already in love.
Edward patted his shoulder. "I'm proud of you, Jason. I know I don't say it often, but I mean it."
"Thanks." He would have never thought he'd be this close to his family, but it makes him feel good. They had wasted a lot of time being stubborn.
For the next few hours, their families visited and took pictures. Everyone was taken in by their new addition. Once they were all gone, Jason pulled out a little black box.
"You bought me a push gift?"
He shrugged. "I've had it for a while and I just wanted to give it to you now to celebrate."
"I don't have anything for you."
"I think the baby is enough of a gift. Open it."
She undid the bow and then gasp when she opened the lid. "Oh my God, Jason. It's gorgeous."
"It's a yellow diamond. I picked it out when your mom went shopping with me for your wedding necklace."
She is stunned. "I can't believe you held onto it that long. I would have gone crazy."
He smiled. Patience in these areas is not a problem for him.
She pulled it out and slid it on her hand "Wow."
He kissed her on the forehead. "You like it?"
"I love it."
"It's not as beautiful as my wife, but it will do."
Tears welled in her eyes. "I think I'm the luckiest person on earth."
"No, that would be me." She is the best thing that has ever happened to him and now, she has given him a family. He has never been this happy.
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiI
Three Years Later
Jason rocks his son as he feeds him.
"Daddy," Jayla said tugging on his pants. "Come play with me."
"Give me a minute, okay? I need to burp your brother."
"No fun, Daddy."
He grinned. She is jealous of her brother and regressed a little, but they are working on it.
"Do you want to feed him?"
Her eyes grew big. "Yes!"
He sat in a rocking chair and then she climbed up with a little help. After positioning them, he let her hold the bottle. "Do you think you can help me watch out for him? He's little and I don't want him getting into trouble."
"I can do that, Daddy."
Every time she called him daddy, it melted him. "Thank you."
Eva is in the doorway trying not to laugh. Her daughter looks so earnest, but she is a spitfire.
Once the baby finished, she smiled. "Okay, burp him and we can lock him in the room."
"Why would I do that?"
"So, he can't play with us, silly."
Eva made a noise, and Jason's gaze fixed on her.
"I'm blaming your genes."
"From what I hear, you weren't an angel."
"I was perfect." She took the baby and patted his back.
"Come on," he said lifting his daughter who giggled.
They had one more boy, and Jayla managed to keep them in line as they grew older. Eventually, Layla moved to Port Charles and married Johnny. They had two girls before stopping.
Lisa eventually fell in love with a man from her church and they married. The girls like him a lot and are happy for her.
Life has a way of bringing the unexpected. It's the way you deal with it that shows what you are made of. Fate had pushed them together, and their love sealed it.
The End
