Ryan waited until Judd and Vicki were sitting down to tell them the news.

"Judd, Vicki," He took Darrion's hand, "you have been like family to both of us for so long. I'm grateful for everything you've done in the last seven years for both of us." Judd nodded.

"I know I speak for Vicki and myself when I say that we are grateful to have been a part of your lives. You have influenced us for the better so much since we met you." Vicki smiled and looked at them. She touched Judd's arm as he spoke.

"Why don't we let Ryan say what he wants to say Judd?" She chuckled. "I think I know what he's about to say."

"You do?" Ryan asked and Vicki nodded.

"It's not that hard to put together Ryan; but I want to hear you say it." Ryan smiled and gripped Darrion's hand.

"Darrion and I became friends through World War III and being kidnapped together. We lived under the same roof for a while, even while Darrion and Mrs. Stahley were in hiding. I was taken from the world you lived in about five and a half to six years before the Glorious Appearing. I was only twelve when we met, and I'm only nineteen now; but the time that Darrion and I have spent apart shows me how much longing would be in my life if I spent it without her." He paused. "Vicki, Judd, you have been my best friends for a long time; and so I want you to be the first ones to know that I asked Darrion to marry me."

"Way to go Ryan!" Judd hollered. "I didn't have those guts when I was your age." Ryan blushed.

"It wasn't hard when God's with you and you feel this is what he wants for you." Judd nodded and Vicki jabbed him in the stomach.

"When you were nineteen you lived in Israel and dated Nada." Vicki responded.

"I know; and you see that we didn't get married. I was afraid to ask her or her father. There were too many differences and time between the two of us."

"You wouldn't have been able to marry me if you'd married her." Vicki retorted. Then she glanced across the room at Darrion and laughed. "We should be congratulating our guests instead of teasing Judd." He nodded. Then all four of them stood up. Judd hugged Ryan and Darrion hugged Vicki; and Judd hugged Darrion while Vicki hugged Ryan.

"Congratulations. I'm so happy for you two!" Vicki exclaimed as she sat back down.

"Ryan was worried about what you would feel about us getting married." Darrion said looping her arm through Ryan's. Vicki and Judd both looked at Ryan.

"Why would you be concerned about that Ryan?" Vicki asked. "You're an adult; and we have made it to paradise; you should be happy." Ryan shook his head, but didn't look directly at her.

"It's just because life isn't normal anymore because the Rapture happened and everything was changed in our lives and they became a jumble of everything." Judd laughed.

"Ryan, if there is somebody who should be worried about when they got married it should be us." Judd responded. "I'm happy for you and Darrion. Vicki and I got married a year before the Tribulation ended. So that wasn't the greatest time for marriage, but we didn't want to die without each other."

"It was hard to watch them be so close, yet so far apart." Darrion chimed in looking at Ryan. Ryan nodded.

"I knew there was something between them even before everything happened." Vicki and Judd both looked at Ryan.

"You knew?" Vicki asked and Ryan nodded.

"Who couldn't see the relationship the two of you had? You fought, but for the most part things always went back to normal. That is like any couple on Earth, just like my parents were." They nodded in agreement.

"My parents are that way too." Judd stated and Vicki nodded again in agreement. They looked to Ryan. "When is the big day?"

"We aren't sure about that. Darrion agreed yesterday to marry me. We haven't come up with a set day yet. That's something we'll talk to her parents about and see when Bruce is available."

"Bruce is going to officiate the wedding?" Vicki asked. Ryan looked at Darrion.

"As long as that's okay with Darrion." She smiled.

"I've heard so much about Bruce, I would be honored to have him marry us. I'll do anything for Ryan anyway." She squeezed his hand and smiled.

Ryan and Darrion were in the beginning stages of planning their wedding, and things could only get better from there, right?
