CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR: EXTREME LIGHTNING!

"Now! Let's take a look at the current score!" Chapati announced as Fairy Tail's emblem flashed on the Lacrima-Vision. "Fairy Tail is in first place with 51 points! There are five people left, with the leader and four normals."

The screen showed Team Fairy Tail with Erza in the center — revealing she was the leader. "Sabertooth is in second place with 49 points! Rufus lost, but with the fluctuating points, there are three normals and the leader left-kabo!" Mato continued.

"Tied for second place is Lamia Scale with 49 points. They've got two normals and the leader left." Yajima continued, the Lacrima-Vision showing Jura, Lyon, and Sherria.

"Mermaid Heel is in fourth place with 42 points. They've got the leader and one normal left." Chapati announced as Kagura was walking through the streets.

"Well, Fairy Tail is alone at the top." Chapati pointed out.

"And all five members are in good condition." Yajima added.

"Fairy Tail has gained the advantage-kabo." Mato commented.

Orga hummed to himself as black lightning surrounded him. "So Rufus has been trounced? That means the number of my prey has increased." He stated.

"Fairy Tail really is strong. However... Gajeel, I can't afford to be beaten by anyone until I take you down." Rogue claimed.

"Rufus..." Frosch muttered.

Minerva smirked. "Is Sabertooth falling apart? Or will you take us to a new level of the strongest guild with your power, Sting? Either way, I'm very curious." She claimed as Sting said nothing.

"Lector..." Sting narrowed his eyes in thought.

"Yeah! We're back on top!" Jet cheered.

"Keep the ball rolling, guys!" Droy encouraged.

"They won one round, but we can't let our guard down."

"We still got four healthy Saber members to deal with, not to mention Jura and Lyon."

"Then the real battle is just beginning, huh?"

"I'm concerned about Natsu and the others, too." Makarov admitted.

"It is taking some time." Mavis agreed. "So we can probably assume that something happened."

"I see. So that's what happened." Gray said as Shun had just finished telling him everything he's been doing for the past fourteen years. They were in an alleyway, tucked away to where the cameras couldn't spot them.

"Sorry I couldn't protect you more than I should've—"

"It's all right." Shun interrupted. "Like I said, I wouldn't have met Valkoinen if I went to train with Ur like you did."

"You know about Ur?"

Shun smiled. "I do. I wanted to know more about how you were after Deliora's attack, so Lyon told me stories about his training with Ur." He replied.

"Speaking of Lyon..." Gray started to say. "Of all people, you had to have a crush on him?"

"Can't help who you love, Gray." Shun responded. "But Lyon would never look at me in that way. I'm just the best friend. Juvia, on the other hand—"

Gray snorts. "Yeah, don't get me started on that whole mess." He said.

"You're gonna have to tell her sometime, Nii-san. Women like her don't wait around forever."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

Shun chuckles. "Whatever you say." He said, not believing him. "Anyway, I think we should get going. You still have a tournament to win."

"Not even rooting for Lamia Scale?" Gray teased.

"I'm pretty sure we're a lost cause at this point. Even with Jura-san still in." Shun admitted.

"The final day of the Grand Magic Games! Fairy Tail is in first place with 51 points!" Chapati announced.

"And all five members are still in the game." Yajima added.

"Sabertooth and Lamia Scale are both in hot pursuit with 49 points!" Chapati continued.

"And Mermaid Heel is bringing up the rear with 42 points."

The audience cheered for Fairy Tail.

"Fairy Tail still doesn't have any fallen members! Talk about strong!"

"Of course. Say what you will, but it's because my Laxus is there." Freed said.

"Not yours, but the Raijinshuu's, right?" Evergreen corrected.

"Whatever! Just finish 'em off, Laxus!" Bickslow shouted.

"At any rate, we got a lock on victory. That's my Laxus!" Freed exclaimed, smirking.

"You're jumping the gun!" Evergreen said.

"Laxus! Show us how brave you are!"

"Go, Laxus, go!"

Juvia was walking through the streets of Crocus. "Juvia was told to be right here, right now." She thinks to herself as wind blew.

"Boreas, God of the North Wind!" Sherria shouted, attacking Juvia with black wind.

"Just as First Master predicted!" Juvia thought as the explosion cleared. "Juvia and Sherria will clash."

Sherria pointed to Juvia. "You're the one Lyon loves!" She accused.

"I don't want to be loved!" Juvia argued.

"In that case... vanish!" Sherria said, throwing more black wind at Juvia.

"God Slayer, Sherria... I recall she can heal herself." Evergreen pointed out.

"How can she be taken down?" Bickslow questioned.

"Just immobilizing her is fine. Meanwhile, Erza will fight Minerva." Mavis replied.

"She looks triumphant!"

"First Master, is Minerva that woman from Saber? The one that kept hurting Lucy... She's a dangerous opponent." Freed said.

"But if she's going to throw down with Erza, there's nothing to worry about, right?" Evergreen asked.

Juvia and Sherria were bickering back and forth. "You're leading Lyon astray!" Sherria shouted.

"Juvia is devoted to Gray-sama!" Juvia argued.

"This is a tough fight for Sherria. Then again, her opponent is Juvia." Lyon spoke, getting Sherria's attention.

"Dammit. We're back to this old crap again." Gray said, getting Juvia's attention as the two women turned around.

"Lyon!"

"Gray-sama!"

"What's wrong, Gray? You're all beat up." Lyon said.

"I just had some minor business to take care of. Then Shun and I had a long overdue conversation." Gray responded.

"Fourteen years worth." Shun added.

"Shun, I should've known you'd surrender to him." Lyon sighed.

"I'm not even gonna apologize." Shun stated.

"Juvia!" Gray addressed her.

"Yes?" Juvia replied.

"Let's take them out together."

Juvia's imagination went wild as she snuggled closer to Gray. "Where shall we go on our honeymoon, darling?" She asked.

"What's going on in your head?!" Gray shouted.

"Oh, no! I've got to get Juvia to come to her senses!" Lyon exclaimed.

"You're the one who needs to come to his senses, Lyon!" Sherria protested.

"Ain't that the truth." Shun thinks to himself as he snorts.

"At last, it feels like we've reached the finale of the Grand Magic Games' final battle!" Chapati said.

"Sabertooth is in the lead with 55 points." Mato informed. "Fairy Tail is in second place with 52 points. And Lamia Scale has 49 points-kabo."

"Gajeel-kun's victory has brought Fairy Tail a little closer to the top." Yajima said.

"Yes, well, Sabertooth still has Sting and Minerva. It'll be difficult to take them down-kabo." Mato said.

"Where is Sting, by the way?"

"Maybe he has some kind of strategy."

"Well, this final battle has really cranked up the excitement, but..." Explosions soon went off. "Uh-oh! Over here, we have an Ice Molding Magic showdown!"

"You're stubborn, Gray. I'll give you that." Lyon placed his fists together as frost came from them.

"It's not like you to try and butter me up, Lyon!" Gray placed his fists together as well.

Lyon fired icicles at Gray who dodges. "Juvia!" He shouted.

"Right! Water Nebula!" Juvia called out.

"Ice-Make: Shotgun!" Gray shouted as it headed for Lyon.

"Sky God's Dance!" Sherria blocked the attack with her magic.

"Nice, Sherria!" Lyon complimented.

"Don't just stand there, Lyon!" Sherria scolded.

"Still, for him to use Juvia's water to attack me... Underhanded bastard!" Lyon yelled.

"What are you talking about?" Sherria questioned.

"That foul means isn't worthy of Juvia! Stand down!" Lyon ordered, getting ready to attack again.

"Huh?"

"Lyon, come on!"

"Ice-Make: Water Serpent!" Lyon shouted, attacking Gray.

"Gray-sama!" Juvia called out in worry.

"Lyon, attack Juvia, too!" Sherria yelled.

"I'll let you handle her... but you'd better not hurt her!" Lyon told her.

"Then I can't!" Sherria argued.

"Has Lyon-sama always been this strong?" Shun heard Juvia ask.

Shun smiled. "He has." He replied, causing Juvia to look up at him. "Ly's pretty amazing. Watching him battle is one of my favorite things to do. I'm sure it's the same for you with my Nii-san."

Juvia just nodded in reply as she saw the adoration in Shun's eyes whenever he looked at Lyon. "Shun-san likes Lyon-sama." She realized.

Gray saw how Shun was frowning — most likely from Lyon's words.

"Lyon, lets make a deal." Gray suggested, getting Lyon's attention.

"What is it?"

"If we win the Games... Shun has to join Fairy Tail." Gray declared.

"What?!" Lyon, Sherria, and Shun all said in unison.

"Bastard... First, you use Juvia to attack me, now you're getting Shun involved? You piss me off." Lyon claimed.

"I'm only making the same deal you made to me with Juvia before the Games began. Besides, wouldn't it make sense for Shun to be in my guild? We're brothers, after all." Gray said.

From the Fairy Tail stands, they all watched with surprise. "That... does make sense." Levy commented.

"I somehow saw this coming..." Max sighed out.

"Agreed." Alzack said.

"But if we win..." Macao trailed off.

"...we gain another Dragon Slayer!" Macao and Wakaba said in unison.

"And a strong one, too!" Wakaba added.

Lyon glanced over at Shun for a moment, who was staring back right at him before he turned away and clenched his jaw tightly.

This was what he feared the most — that once Shun revealed himself to his twin, Gray would want him to join Fairy Tail.

And that meant leaving Lamia Scale.

Leaving him.

"Do we have an agreement, Lyon?" Gray asked, snapping Lyon out of his thoughts.

Lyon faced Gray, a look of determination in his eyes. "Fine. If Fairy Tail wins, Shun will join your guild." He placed his fists together. "But just because you're family to him, don't think I'll give Shun up that easily."

Gray smirks before putting his fists together as well. "I was hoping you'd say that." He replied.

"We've got a betting game going on here. What do you think, Yajima-san?" Chapati questioned as looked at the screen.

"Both Gray-kun and Lyon-kun are good men." Yajima replied.

"That's not what he asked-kabo." Mato commented.

Chapati had steam coming out of his nose. "Well, of course Sherria-tan will be victorious!"

"Yeah, yeah..." Yajima muttered.

"E-Everyone! Look at this!" Chapati announced as the Lacrima Vision showed Laxus, Jura, and Orga in a three-way battle.

"Here it comes! Jura of the Ten Wizard Saints-kabo!" Mato cheered.

"Shall I join the contest, as well?" Jura spoke. "My blood hasn't burned like this for a long time."

"So you came out, monster." Laxus said.

Obaba chuckles to herself. "Here's where it gets real! The moment I decided to have Jura participate in this, Lamia Scale's victory was assured! Laxus and Orga might as well be babies!" She said.

"In other words, they're just plain unlucky!" Sherry added.

"He's too strong!" Toby exclaimed.

"Don't get mad about it." Sherry told him sheepishly.

"Go, Jura! Take them down!" Mila cheered.

Orga, Jura, and Laxus all had a stare off with one another. "What is this intensity?"

"It's okay! You can do it! We're here, Laxus!" Freed encouraged.

"The Raijinshuu are with you!" Bickslow added.

"Laxus is nervous?!" Evergreen exclaimed.

"Jura-san, I wanna see you when you're serious." Black lightning soon appeared in Orga's hands. "Do you have the guts to take this?"

"Oh?"

"I'm the Lightning God Slayer." Orga informed. "God Slayer Magic or the title of Ten Wizard Saints? Which is more powerful? I'm sure everyone wants to know that. Well, Ten Wizard Saint? Can you block my magic? Or is Ten Wizard Saint just your calling card?"

Jura closed his eyes calmly. "Go ahead."

His reply causes Orga to smirk as Laxus watches. "He got the old man in a trap." Laxus thinks to himself.

"He took the dare!" Sherry shouted.

"Don't fall for it!" Toby exclaimed.

Obaba began spinning the two of them. "Shush it! You wanna spin?" She asked.

"We're already spinning!"

"Here I go! Lightning God's Charged Particle Cannon!" Orga called out, sending a blast of black lightning towards Jura.

Jura dodged his attack and slammed Orga to the ground in a flash, shocking Laxus and the audience.

"Now I remember. You had a bout on that first day." Jura said as Orga was shown knocked out. "You ended the match with just one attack."

The audience bursted into cheers. "Awesome!"

"L-Lamia Scale is now just one point away from Fairy Tail!" Chapati announced.

"Th-There's no way..." Makarov said as he was stunned.

"What are you saying, Master?!" Evergreen exclaimed.

"I believe in Laxus!" Freed shouted.

"Laxus can surpass even Jura!" Bickslow added.

"All right, now..."

Laxus gritted his teeth. "Give it up, Makarov. During the seven years you were gone, Jura rose up to fifth place in the Ten Wizard Saints." Obaba stated.

"Although no matter what he does, it doesn't seem like he can catch up to the top four." Sherry claimed.

"Don't speak of them! You wanna spin?" Obaba threatened as she spun Sherry around.

"I'm already spinning!"

"The Four Kings of Ishgar. They're not human. In other words, Jura is the most powerful human wizard." Obaba said.

Mila crossed her arms. "Agreed. I faintly remember Shun crossing one of the Four Kings on his journey. He nearly got killed." She informed, causing Sherry to shiver at the information.

"Jura Neekis... In this final battle, he's the one person I was wariest of." Mavis said.

"There's nothing I can tell you, Laxus. I'll watch you to the end!" Makarov exclaimed.

Jura walked forward. "I've wanted to fight you for the longest time, being that you're Makarov-dono's..."

"Whoa, don't go there!" Laxus interrupted. "We're not standin' here as an old man with a fancy title or somebody's grandson."

Laxus dropped his overcoat. "We're just two men." He finished.

"I like that determination." Jura said as a gust of wind blew through them. It was silent between the two.

Laxus charged forward with lightning surrounding him as Jura placed his palms together. He then karate-chopped Laxus to the ground, shocking the Fairy Tail members.

"Oh, my!" Chapati exclaimed. Obaba smirked while Makarov widened his eyes.

"H-He finished this one with one strike, too!" Chapati said.

"Words fail me..." Yajima muttered.

"Wow-pepo." Mato said.

"His character profile is mistaken." Chapati added.

"In this world, there's always somebody higher than you." Jura claimed.

"I know that all too well."

Laxus stood up as lightning surrounded him once more. "But sometimes, you need to look down, too. 'Cause the other guy might be at your feet!" He exclaimed, attacking Jura from below with lightning.

A/N: No, I am not having Shun join Fairy Tail. Gray just made that deal to get a rise out of Lyon :)
