"Keith!" the red head turned at the sound of his name being called. His eyes widened when he saw the head of brown hair before he was tackled into a giant. "Keith! I'm sorry! I've been such a cunt to everyone!" it was Kellyn, practically bawling his eyes out.

Keith laid on the ground, pain wracking through his body as Kellyn hugged him tightly and continued to apologise. Keith hissed in pain as he tried to push Kellyn off of him.

"Kellyn… Kellyn… Kell, would you get off?!" Keith finally yelled. Kellyn's eyes snapped wide open as he quickly jumped off the red head, noticing the red stain on his side as he gulped slightly.

"I'm sorry, I-,"

"If you apologise one more time Kellyn, I will kick your ass," Keith threatened as he looked up at the brunette. Kellyn frowned as he looked down at the red head and held a hand out to him.

Keith quickly accepted it and was easily pulled to his feet by the brunette. Kellyn and Keith locked eyes and the two seemed to smile slightly.

"This probably isn't the time for chat," Keith started as he motioned for Kellyn to follow him. "We're close to the summit of the mountain already where all the commotion's coming from," he added as they ascended some stairs.

"I understand," Kellyn whispered slightly, feeling a little nervous and terrible for the things he had said to the red head. "Communication with the Union is impossible. Seren and I… we needed to use phone communication but… it stopped working," the brunette sighed.

"I think it's safe to say that the Union and Almia are starting to face all the darkness as well," Keith sighed as he stopped slightly. "Kell… like I said, this probably isn't the time for this. But I don't hate you and I'm not mad at you," the red head stated as he looked at Kellyn, who smiled slightly.

"I figured I just… wish I hadn't said such stupid things to you I mean we could be-,"

"Kellyn I will throw you off this mountain if you finish that sentence," Keith threatened. Kellyn instantly shut his mouth and smiled slightly.

"You're right, sorry," the brunette stated as he looked around. "It doesn't feel like we're moving up at all," he sighed and looked around. Keith huffed as he stopped walking and looked around. Cynthia's Lucario appeared a few minutes later and looked around.

"Are we getting closer to the top?" Keith asked as he looked at the blue and black pokemon. Lucario looked around and nodded its head slightly. Kellyn ran a hand through his hair and frowned slightly.

The Lucario suddenly sprinted past the brunette and into the wall opposite him. Keith looked at the pokemon in shock and Kellyn screamed slightly at the suddenly shock.

"What are you doing?!" Keith yelled, walking towards the pokemon. Kellyn looked at the wall, studying it slightly and grabbed Keith's arm as Lucario launched an attack at the wall.

"The wall… shouldn't be there," Kellyn whispered as he looked at it. Keith gave him a confused look and studied it as well as he looked at the wall as well. Kellyn was right; it was discoloured from the surrounding wall but only ever so slightly.

"Let's get rid of it," Keith ordered as he ran towards the wall, bashing into it with his shoulder as Lucario launched more and more attacks. Kellyn sweat dropped slightly, shook his head and decided to follow Keiths' idiotic lead.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?!" Kellyn asked in a yell as they slammed into the wall and Lucario launched attack after attack at it.

"If the wall shouldn't be here, then it's hiding something!" Keith shouted back. "And my guess is that it's hiding the way to the top," he added with a growl as Lucario came over and punched the wall.

To their surprise, a part of it broke off. Keith and Kellyn quickly reached their hands through and starting pulling away parts of the wall. When a small hole was made the two looked through it.

Kellyn pulled up a light on his styler and shined it through the hole. There were some stairs that lead to Arceus knows where. Keith sighed as he shook his head.

"If we die in there we're screwed," the red head muttered as Kellyn chuckled.

"Well, let's not die," he replied as Keith returned Lucario to its pokeball. Kellyn looked at Keith and Keith looked at him. The two nodded their heads as they walked through the hole and began to ascend the steps side by side. Each taking the same pace and each grow more and more nervous.

"Keith… Keith…hear…. Come…. Keith," the two stopped when they heard a voice. A familiar voice… Rythmi's voice! Keith pulled his styler up and looked at it. Static was on the screen but it was clear to him what Rythmi had said.

"I can hear you, Ryth! Rythmi!" Keith yelled back into the styler. Kellyn bit his lip. The communication was fuzzy but sure enough he heard Rythmi's voice as well.

"Keith! The… De… danger… Careful… Facing… bad… Almia… des… hurry," Rythmi's voice spoke again before his styler cut out completely.

"What does that mean?" Keith pondered as he looked at his styler, the screen had gone black and the entire communication had been cut off.

"Maybe if we get to higher ground we can get a better signal," Kellyn suggested as he looked at Keith, who nodded his head.

"By the sound of it she was saying there's danger ahead of us and she wants us to be careful," Keith sighed as he ran a hand through his head.

"And the last part must have been that Almia was finally facing the darkness," Kellyn sighed as he shook his head. "How do we get into this mess?" the brunette asked as he bit his lip. "I… hope everyone will be alright," he whispered, looking down.

"We don't have time to worry about everyone," Keith hissed as he balled his fists. "We need to move and save everyone. So, let's go," he ordered and started to take a step up the stairs.

"Keith," Kellyn spoke in fright. "I can't move my legs," he whispered, fear wracking his voice as he looked at his feet. Keith quickly turned his styler light on and saw a pool of darkness holding his feet in place.

"Give me your hand!" Keith ordered as he held his hand out to the brunette. Kellyn quickly took it as he and Keith tried to pull him out of the darkness. Keith grunted as he fell into the stairs behind him, Kellyn following as they both looked at the darkness.

"Run!" Kellyn ordered, grabbing Keith by the wrist. The two quickly scrambled to their feet and started to run. Kellyn huffed, stating to lose his breath as he slowed down. Keith quickly gripped Kellyn's hand and began pulling him up the stairs.

"We can't stop now, Kell. We're almost there!" Keith yelled as he saw a glimmer of light that was becoming larger as they neared it. Kellyn looked at the light, gritted his teeth and quickly started to pick up the pace as the darkness began to turn into a hand.

As the darkness reached for them, Keith looked behind them, gripping Kellyn be the wrist harder and threw him out into the light. Kellyn yelped as he was thrown through the opened and onto the rough ground, the hand barely missed gripping him by the collar of his uniform.

Keith smirked as he quickly ran through the opened and collapsed on the ground, breathing heavily. Kellyn was sprawled out on the floor in front of him, also panting as the two tried to regain their breath.

The darkness didn't seem to follow them through the opening, when it came into the light it seemed to shrink away and retreat back into the cave.

Keith, still breathing heavily, stood to his feet and walked over to Kellyn, pulling him to his feet as well. The two shook their heads and stood up straight, eyes widened at the scene in front of them.

Keith took a step back, not believing his eyes and Kellyn fell to his knees, not knowing what to make of it all. Fists balled and teeth were gritted by the two Rangers who stood there completely clueless of what to make of the situation.

Unown were floating around in the middle of the scene, an ugly black gem was floating in the middle of them. Giratina was flying around them, its colours all black grey, its eyes a blood red colour. At the front of it all, a dark blue haired man in grey and white stood, hands in the air, back to the Rangers and his voice was cackling loudly.

"That's it! Destroy everything! Rebirth the entire world!" the man yelled as he cackled loudly at the stone which sent a beam of black lightning into the air.

Looking up, Keith saw a swarm or dark, black clouds circling around the below scenery. He gulped when he saw purple lightning hit the ground below and turn it black. Another one hit the entrance behind the Rangers. Their eyes widened when it was swallowed up in darkness and then disappeared.

Kellyn looked at Keith with frightened eyes and Keith looked back at the scene in front of him. The lightning was becoming more and more frequent and, as soon as Keith took a step, the Giratina's eyes locked on the two of them.

It roared loudly and Kellyn quickly shot to his feet, backing up next to Keith.

"We are so screwed," the brunette whispered as the two looked at the enemy they had to face. Fear, doubt, anger, every negative emotion they had felt in their life came rushing back to them, hitting them square in the chest as one question seemed to fly around their minds.

Could they even win?

Isaac sighed as the line went dead on the other end with Keith. He prayed to Arceus that his message had gotten through and that they would be careful.

"Are we going to be okay?" Caden asked as he looked up at the young blonde. Isaac sighed, he may be stuck in Rythmis' body but he didn't know how to handle children!

"Yes, we'll be-,"

"Watch out!" Rythmi yelled as she quickly tacked Isaac and Caden onto the ground. Darkness shot passed them a moment later and smashed their communication screens to bits. "Did you get the message out?!" Rythmi asked as she stood up, pulling Caden with her.

"I think. It was fuzzy but it worked, I hope," Isaac answered as he stood to his feet as well. The two blonde looked at each other and then Caden, who was shaking.

"Listen, I'm going to take Caden to Hastings and Erma. Can you handle it here while I'm gone?" Rythmi asked. Hastings and Erma were only on the floor above them, but by the time Rythmi got back everyone on the floor could be gone.

Rangers were fighting left right and centre. Blocking the stairs to stop the darkness from trying to reach everyone on the top who were trying to stay safe.

"Everyone on the top are the ones who can't fight. You should stay there," Isaac stated as he looked at Rythmi, who frowned.

"No! Everyone is giving everything they have to try and stop this darkness and I'll be damned if I'm just going to sit on the side lines!" Rythmi growled as she looked at Isaac, who smiled slightly. He figured she would say something like that.

Rythmi, she was an operator but she couldn't… she wouldn't sit on the side lines and do nothing while everyone else was trying to give it everything they had to save their Region, to save their home.

"Flareon use flamethrower!" Remi ordered as she, Luana, Freya and Adir finally made it into the Union. Isaac and Rythmi looked over to them as they smiled.

"What can we do here?!" Adir asked as he looked around the Union. Isaac stood to his feet.

"Ben needs to be taken to the roof, as does Summer, can you and Freya handle that?" Isaac asked. The two adults nodded and quickly ran towards the infirmary.

"I'll protect them," Remi growled as she rushed towards them with Flareon on her heel.

"Where's Crawford?!" Rythmi asked in worry as she held Caden close.

"Crawford's been poisoned, he told me to leave him in the clearing and come here," Luana answered as she bit her lip. Rythmis' eyes narrowed as Isaac frowned.

"We need to get him," Isaac stated as he looked around. Every Ranger was doing whatever they could to help, having more people would just cause a problem… there was nothing Isaac or Luana could do.

"Are you sure?!" Rythmi asked as she looked at Isaac, she had to wonder if Luana knew if they switched bodies.

"Yes, we can't leave him out there. And we may be able to help him here," Isaac answered. Luana looked at the ground, tears filling her eyes as she did so.

"Thank you… thank you," she whispered and wiped her eyes, giving them a determined look.

"Alright, Rythmi, take Caden up to the roof, when you're done set up the infirmary. We can't let Crawford die," the blonde ordered. Rythmi nodded her head as she went to walk away but turned back.

"Isaac," she whispered, but was cut off when the blonde hugged her. Luana looked at the two in shock wondering why Isaac had just called Rythmi Isaac.

"I'll come back, we'll get through this. Look after Caden like it was requested," the blonde ordered as he bit his lip. "I love you," he whispered before quickly releasing the blonde and running off with Luana in the opposite direction.

Rythmi watched them in shock and suddenly found herself smiling, a burst of confidence and determination rushing through her as she looked at Caden.

"Let's go," she ordered, picking the boy up and rushing off towards the stairs. She easily cleared the boxes and things at the bottom as she jumped over them and rushed up the stairs to leave Caden with Hastings and Erma and explain what was going on.

"How was he poisoned?" Isaac asked as he and Luana rushed through the road towards Pueltown from the Union.

"There's a mist in Pueltown. I don't know how, but it poisoned him," the black haired girl replied as she tried her hardest to think of how something like that could even be possible.

"Well, we don't know what we're up against, anything is possible," Isaac replied as he looked at the black haired girl. Luana bit her lip slightly before she smiled a little.

"I take it this darkness did something to you and Rythmi?" she asked, looking at the blonde haired girl who was Isaac.

"Made us switch bodies. Arceus knows how but we've got the hang of it," Isaac replied as they easily reached the exit of Pueltown. Isaac looked around, as did Luana… but they could not see Crawford.

"I thought you said he was here?" Isaac asked as he looked at the black haired woman.

"He was! He is! He has to be! Crawford!" Luana yelled as she looked around, tears streaming down her face as she began to worry for the boy. Isaac frowned as he looked around before sighing.

"We need to go back to the Union, Luana. The darkness probably has him. We need to trust Keith and Kate now," Isaac ordered as he looked around. Luana fell to her knees, sobbing her heart out as she tried to think of where he could have gone.

"No, no he still has to be around here," she denied. Isaac looked at the woman and frowned.

"Luana… Crawford isn't here, we really need to go," Isaac tried to reason as he placed a hand on Luanas' shoulder.

"But… where would he go?" she asked, looking up and looking around. Isaac knelt down next to the woman.

"Luana, listen to me," Isaac ordered as he gripped the girls' face and made her look at him. "Crawford has been taken. Now, we have to trust Keith and Kate and the others and have faith that they will save everyone," the blonde explained as he looked at Luana. Desperation passed through his eyes, they couldn't lose another person, they had lost too many already.

"I… I…" Luana couldn't form a sentence as she looked around the area, trying to see if she could see Crawford, but sighed when she couldn't. Isaac sighed as he stood to his feet and held his hand out to Luana.

"Trust them," he pleaded. Luana looked at the blonde and quickly took his hand, pulling herself to her feet.

"I trust them," Luana whispered as she smiled, wiping her eyes and smiled slightly.

Her eyes widened a little as she looked behind Isaac. Her eyes landed on an all too familiar afro haired boy, only… he was all grey… there was no colour to him.

"You don't really believe that, do you, Luana?" Isaac turned on his heel, eyes widened when he saw the darkness version of Crawford, a huge grin plastered on his face.

"Luana… we need to go now!" Isaac ordered as he turned on his heel to look at the woman, but she was frozen in place. Her eyes locked on the darkness Crawford as tears began to stream down her face.

Isaac bit his lip. How the hell could he and Luana get away from this without being taken by the darkness themselves?
