A minor planet was within reach. After thirty-four days of traveling through the galaxy, the warrior could finally get out and do his business. Despite being used to voyaging from one planet to another, sometimes even for more extended periods, he hated it. However, unlike in the past, he could at least walk around the ship and train. The Saiyan spent every single waking moment working out and improving his strength. Ever since the battle on Earth, man has done everything to break through the limitations he put on himself ages ago. It was challenging and stressful, but slowly he started to break through. He was determined to have no weaknesses and utilize new techniques to his advantage on the battlefield.

The tall Saiyan stared at the puny planet as the ship entered its atmosphere. He stood there quietly, lost in his thoughts as the cloak hid his appearance. The man only moved once a voice emerged out of the speakers. Now that the landing was complete, the Saiyan walked out and wondered if a repair shop was nearby. He looked around and immediately summarized this world was much worse than the previous one. Thugs fought before him, while children beat and robbed an older man. The warrior scoffed and stepped off the ramp when a group of thugs surrounded him.

"Na, naaa! It was a mistake embarking on this planet, pal! Hand over everything you have and walk away; this is our ship now!"

A tiny male approached the Saiyan with a laser blade. The criminal giggled as he flew up and placed the knife under Raditz's chin. "Yeah! You're shooo stupid! Do you know how dangerous it is here? Hehe!" The searing noise from the blade would send shivers down people's spines, but that didn't work on him.

"Morons."

Swiftly, Raditz lifted his leg and sent the tiny thug flying. Before others could react, the Saiyan punched each one of them. As all three fainted, Raditz approached the puny male and took the blade. He observed and inspected the blade. It was a high-class weapon, making him wonder from whom they stole it. Since it could fetch a big reward, the warrior took the knife. He didn't even make five steps, and another group robbed the ones who assaulted him. Raditz couldn't but let out a little chuckle as he watched. The Saiyan turned his body forward and searched for a repair shop.

After paying a child for information, the Saiyan finally reached the store. Raditz knocked on the reinforced gate and waited for a couple of seconds. He glanced up and saw the camera move in his direction. The warrior smirked and showed the credits. Almost instantly, the door opened, and the Saiyan walked in.

"Halt! Before getting in here, you will hand over your weapons! Do as you instructed, or you can turn around and get out of here!"

Raditz shifted his attention to a bald, older man with an eye patch. "Humph, very precocious of you, old man... Is living on this mudball so frightening that you treat your customers like this?" The Saiyan kept smirking while the repairman just snickered at Raditz's sarcasm.

"And what would you know of it, kid? Just follow the instructions so we can do business like normal people... if any are left."

The Saiyan wanted to let out another sarcastic remark but opted not to. He handed over the newly acquired knife to a stern-looking, bulky male who greatly resembled the old man. Raditz wondered if the guy was the repairman's son, but it didn't matter. He passed by the burly male and approached the reinforced glass.

"Oh, this is a surprise! You got quite a rare blade there, kid! I'm sure a rich collector would pay many credits for it."

He was already well aware of that. However, he wanted something else urgently done. "I'm here because of this... Can you fix it? I need it in working condition right away!" The tone in his voice shifted considerably, which didn't go unnoticed by the repairman.

"Hmph... The condition of this little transmission device is quite bad, but it should be fine. However, if you want it done, pay upfront."

Raditz lifted an eyebrow in amusement as he stared at the older male. "Do you take me for a fool? If anything, I'll pay you half now and again when you do your job." The Saiyan leaned closer to the reinforced glass so the repairman could see the fierce look in his eyes.

"No! Pay all now or..."

Before the old man could finish, Raditz turned around and pointed his index finger at the bulky man. He fired a beam and struck the owner's son in the kneecap. While the repairman screamed the son's name, the Saiyan again pointed his finger at the wounded son.

"You'll do as I tell you, or I'll pierce your son's left eye out so you'll match perfectly... Your decision?"

The owner clenched his teeth as the cold sweat slid down his wrinkled face. "F-Fine... Have it your way; let me care for him before I get to work." Once the warrior lowered the hand, the repairman approached his son and helped him get on a chair.

While the older man was tending his son's wounded knee, Raditz sat on a nearby chair and patiently waited. "Old man, what's the deal with this planet? Who's in charge?" The Saiyan gazed at the trophies displayed on the walls as he asked the questions.

The repairman bandaged his son's knee and gave him some painkillers. He slowly stood up and returned behind the counter. "Humph, why do you care? Maybe interested in taking over? Rule with an iron fist? As if that ever helped..." The old man began working on the small device to get rid of Raditz as soon as possible.

"Hardly... Just asking out of curiosity."

The repairman dismantled the device and left it on the desk while he jumped off the chair and went through the drawers, searching for pieces. "Well, if you ask anyone or just look around, the answer is pretty obvious... However, everything is not how it seems." The old man pulled out new wires and several other components and returned to the desk.

"Oh! You have a conspiracy theory that someone might be in charge of this dump from the shadows, right?"

The owner ignored Raditz's chuckle and continued working. "You're free to make fun of me for all you want; others do as well... But I stand by it! All of those lawless worlds, where all kinds of activities are allowed to go on... Someone authorizes all of it!" Little sparks flew out of the device as the old man connected the wires.

Raditz remained quiet for a second, realizing the repairman was serious. "You're convinced of it... Do you have any evidence? Any suspicion who it could be?" The Saiyan rose and approached the reinforced glass that separated him and the older man.

Suddenly, the one-eyed man lowered the screw and looked at the Saiyan. "My only evidence is gone, poked out when I didn't want to relinquish the throne..." A weak smile surfaced as he pointed at his eyepatch.

The cloak very well hid Raditz's surprised expression. "You mean to tell me a puny guy like you was once in charge of this lawless rock?" Perhaps he underestimated the older male; it wouldn't be the first time he underestimated someone based on their appearance.

"As hard as it is to believe, yes, once upon a time, I was ruling this little world with the help of my companions... We started as a small gang but gained more followers and fame. Naturally, the ruler then wasn't fond of it and tried to destroy us."

The man halted and looked up as he reminisced. "It was an exhausting and troublesome period; the battle lasted almost two years. Finally, we were the first to deliver the finishing blow, and as the gang's chief, I got put on the throne... I, we tried to rebuild this imperfect world, make it better for everyone so they can enjoy life! However, it didn't last long." He squeezed his hands tight as the cold sweat ran down his face.

"It was a slaughter! They exterminated the entire gang within thirty minutes! I watched all my companions fall before my eye, and I couldn't do a thing! As I stared at the sight before me in disbelief, terror, and drowning in the blood of my friends, he entered the room..."

Raditz was about to ask for a description of the man, but the older male was way ahead of him. "He wore a white cloak which concealed his appearance, so I can't tell you what that demon looks like! He and his comrades laughed as they took over! He spared my life so I could suffer and reminisce about what I had lost. They killed countless people who heard what happened and vanished one day." He picked up the device and slid down the chair.

The Saiyan stood on his spot as the older male approached. "Here, the job's done. That will be a hundred and twenty credits." Raditz nodded and handed over the credits. He took the device from the man and stared at it.

"That was an interesting story, old man... Take care!"

With the device repaired and in his hands, Raditz turned toward the doors and left the older male who checked on the wounded son. While he suddenly felt interested in figuring out who the person in charge might be, the Saiyan shifted his focus back to the matters at hand. The device got fixed, and he could finally get some clues to finish his first mission now that he was alone. He walked down the street and found a safe spot where no one could see or hear him. The warrior sat on a crate and pressed the button on the device.

"Treaty failed! Treaty failed! They turned against us as the General suspected! They are invading our homeworld! I repeat! They are invading our homeworld! Engage them and stop them at any cost!"

A pause. The Saiyan waited as he knew there was more. "W-What the hell is that!? Reporting in! An enormous tree just sprouted out of the soil! I don't know what the purpose of it is, but it can't be anything good! Evacuate the Royal Family at once!" Raditz curiously listened as more recorded transmissions played out.

"A-Ah... T-The Royal Family is gone! T-Those wretched demons! T-They played us like a fiddle, and we paid a heavy price for our stupidity... C-Curse you, Trules Crusher Corps!"

Sweat slid down Raditz's temple as he blinked a couple of times. Before he could utter a word, a different voice came from the device. "Hah! That's what happens when you trust strangers... There's none to blame but your naive selves, but it's too late. The fruit is ripe with incredible energy, and it will elevate me to new heights!" The last thing he heard was loud laughter before the device turned off.

The Saiyan sat on the crate for a few minutes until he rose suddenly. "Turles, that's a Saiyan name! But how!? All Saiyans except Vegeta, Nappa, Kakarot, and me were supposed to be dead! Is it possible some off-world survived!? Did they ignore Freeza's direct order to return to planet Vegeta just like us at the time!?" Raditz's hands shook as he tried to figure things out.

It was a huge discovery. There was another one like him, roaming the galaxy and doing stuff. He couldn't help but wonder how this didn't reach Freeza's ears. Was this Saiyan named Turles that good at keeping himself hidden for all these years? Obviously, until now, that was the case. What also intrigued the Saiyan was this talk about the fruit. There was something outwardly with that tree, but he couldn't figure it out then.

A wicked smirk surfaced on Raditz's face as he closed his fists tightly. "This hunt turned out to be very interesting! My blood is boiling at the prospect of fighting a Saiyan!" A devilish chuckle escaped from the warrior as he picked up the device and destroyed it.

He emerged from the dark alley and gazed around. There was a small marketplace on his right, and the Saiyan decided to go there, hoping to get some information. While he was low on credits, he still had the valuable blade he could trade for any info on the Crusher Corps. He went from one person to another, asking about his prey, but none could provide any information. The Saiyan, naturally, threatened, but not even that bore fruit. Annoyed by failure, the long-haired warrior took a break and headed to the nearest restaurant.

As he walked into the establishment, a chair flew in his direction and broke upon hitting the wall. Raditz snorted and stepped inside. He ignored the commotion at the far end of the restaurant and sat at the counter. A four-eyed humanoid creature with medium-long hair approached the Saiyan and took his order. Naturally, the beast was shocked by the amount of food requested but commented nothing on it. While the waiter headed to the kitchen, Raditz inspected the restaurant.

Shouting and fighting increased, but that didn't bother the warrior. If anything, he got amused by it. He watched the fights while the waiter brought the first of many things he ordered. Raditz started devouring everything on the plates with such speed that it disgusted the waiter, who quickly disappeared. The Saiyan would glance at the fights between bites and sneer if someone got beaten by some silly mistake. He was already on his third course when somebody from behind approached the cloaked warrior.

"You the one asking too many questions about Crusher Corps?"

No response from Raditz. He continued eating while the tall man grew impatient and annoyed. "You deaf!? If you don't answer me nicely when I ask, I'll beat the answers out of you!" Swiftly, the Saiyan shifted to the right and dodged a strike.

"Humph, you just made a big mistake."

Raditz leaped out of the chair and landed behind the muscular man. He charged the mysterious assailant with a fist, but surprisingly, the opponent turned around in time and blocked the blow. A smirk appeared on Raditz's cloaked face as the man appeared stronger than the ordinary people on the planet.

"Impressive! You seem stronger than others in this small world... You might even entertain me!"

The Saiyan closed both fists tightly and positioned himself correctly as the mysterious man wearing a suit and a helmet attacked. Raditz blocked each strike as the taller male pressured him to backtrack. However, that proved to be easy for the warrior. Even when backed against the wall, the Saiyan ducked and landed a heavy blow to the gut. While the assailant was out of breath, Raditz propelled his leg forward and delivered a kick to the head. The opponent went flying and crashed into the wall. The force behind the strike was too strong for the wall to hold. Raditz's opponent crashed through the wall and fell outside the restaurant.

"I must thank you though, thanks to this little exercise, I properly digested all that food I ate... Now, you'll answer some of my questions. With the first one being, who sent you? Was it him!? Did the word of me searching for him already reach Turles!?"

The tall assailant barely managed to get on his shaky feet. "W-Wouldn't you like to know!" He screamed as he rushed at Raditz, who stood there with his arms down.

Raditz caught the fist and twisted the man's arm. "Yes, and you'll provide an answer... One way or another! Now speak, who sent you!?" The Saiyan delivered a knee to the head as the opponent fell to the ground.

"A-Ahh! F-Fine! I'll speak! It was Lord Slug! H-He has many followers planted on worlds, gaining intel on everything and doing lots of other stuff for his bidding!"

The Saiyan eased the hold and searched his memory to see if he had heard that name. "Lord Slug... Never heard of him. Who is he?! And why's he interested in Crusher Corps and me!?" Again, Raditz applied pressure on the already broken arm, causing the man to squeak.

"S-Stop! P-Please! I don't know much; I've been planted on this rock for years! T-The only thing I know is that Turles and his lackeys crossed Lord Slug ages ago, and he wants to kill the monkey! I-I heard you asking questions about them, so I approached you! That's all, I swear!"

It took a lot of work to determine if the man was telling the truth since the helmet was in the way, but Raditz was sure his methods were effective. " Humph, great! Now I have somebody else after me... Did you already report about me to this Slug?" The moment he asked the question, the man went silent.

Not pleased by it, Raditz punched the vizor on the helmet. While the pieces of the glass fell on the floor, the man gasped for air. It didn't take too long for the fighter to suffocate. Raditz backed away from the lifeless body and immediately turned around. The Saiyan marched back to his ship. He had to leave this world and form a new plan now that he was hunted.

-X-

The flying vessel passed by a giant asteroid field as it traveled toward its new destination. After several days of traveling through the endless void, the spaceship was only a few minutes from reaching the new world. Meanwhile, inside the ship, the Saiyan emerged from his room wearing his usual attire. He walked toward the exit and stood there while waiting for the vessel to land. He hoped to find new information regarding Turles as quickly as possible without revealing himself to this Lord Slug character. While he wondered if the one after him was strong to provide a challenge, he quickly pushed that thought aside. Dealing with Lord Slug would come later. First, he wanted to find and have an encounter with Turles. Since the man was a Saiyan, the warrior wished to see him soon. Raditz's thoughts abruptly ended when something struck the vessel which just entered the world's atmosphere.

"Alert! Alert! Damage is too severe for safe travel! Evacuate the ship! Landing sequence term..."

The speakers exploded as the tremor increased. Raditz cursed as he almost fell. The Saiyan rushed to the nearest window and, much to his surprise, saw a massive spaceship looming behind him. At first, he feared for the worst, and somehow Freeza found out he was out there, doing stuff. However, that wasn't Freeza or any of his minions. Neither was the annoying Galactic Patrol. It was somebody else. A droplet of sweat fell from his chin as he thought of only two suspects.

"Tch! Screw it!"

Raditz rushed to the other side of the ship as the explosions tore the vessel apart. The Saiyan shouted as he fired a ki blast. He jumped out of the hole in the wall and flew away. Beneath him was a dense forest, and the Saiyan decided to find shelter there. The warrior crouched when he touched the ground and slowly approached a tall palm tree. He hid behind it and watched his spaceship crash into the ocean and sink. While he watched the sea swallow the vessel, his attention quickly moved elsewhere. The massive ship that was after him landed on a cliff. Raditz sweated nervously as he watched an entire army fly out of the vessel.

His dark spheres quivered as he could feel several powerful forces emerge from the ship. "Dammit! How were they able to find me so fast!? Did that guy plant a bug on my ship!? Tch! I need to hide and think things through!" Carefully, Raditz moved away and disappeared within the thick forest.

Meanwhile, the army roared as four people emerged from the large ship. All four wore confident, arrogant grins as they stood high and mighty in front of the loyal army. Suddenly, all went silent when one of them lifted an arm. The man's long, crimson hair swayed on the wind as he slowly hovered.

"Listen well, soldiers! You're to spread across the globe if needed to find the one our Lord's after! When you find him, you are to immediately notify any of us, as you're too weak to deal with this mysterious, cloaked warrior! Now go and fulfill your duty as the Great Lord Slug soldiers!"

"Haaaruuhh!"

The army's tremendous roar reached the pinkish sky. While the soldiers scattered, the long-haired male descended to the ground and turned toward his companions. "Well, what are you guys waiting for!? You're supposed to look for him as well!" The man's big muscles tensed as he glared at the others.

"Now, now. No need to be so snappy, Zeeun. Those guys can do their job. After all, how hard can it be to find a person and contact us?"

Zeeun glared fiercely at the enormous male whose wings almost reached the ground. "Dorodabo... Your lack of urgency never ceases to amaze me. This is the mission of the highest order! And so we should go out there and hunt this man down! So we can figure out why and if he's in league with that damnd ape!" His voice grew louder as he violently waved his hand.

"Tch! Calm yourself, Zeeun! As much as you'd like, you're not in charge... Or did you forget who's Lord Slug's strongest warrior?"

Zeeun clenched his teeth as he hatefully frowned at the companion with two small horns on its head and long blonde hair which rested on his cyan shoulders. "How dare you, Angila! I'll tear you apart if needed! I'm Commander Zeeun, Lord Slug's most trusted warrior!" The crimson-haired warrior approached Angila, who uncrossed his arms and did the same. Meanwhile, their fourth companion, the smallest and frog-like looking, maniacally laughed.

"Enough of this pointless squabble! Find him and bring him to me! He must know Turles from somewhere, and I will have him tell me where that wretched Saiyan's hiding!"

All four of them nodded and, without any unnecessary fighting, spread out in search of the warrior. While his men were looking for the mysterious person, the tall figure sat back in his chair and rested its head against the hand. His shallow breathing and shaky hand worried a pair of small humanoid creatures standing before the giant computer. The two shifted their attention back to the task given to them while their Lord closed his eyes.

"Hmm, yes... I can feel your presence in this world, mysterious warrior. I don't know your connection to Turles, but I will make you speak!"

Meanwhile, the Saiyan pushed aside the branches and leaped over the thick bushes as he tried to find a place to hide. Sweat blew off his face as he moved with great speed. His dark orbs moved left and right, trying to locate a safe spot. However, it was tough to see anything but green. The warrior grunted and cursed as it took too long to find a cave or any crack in the wall where he could hide. Suddenly, he halted and crouched inside a bush. He concealed himself and quietly breathed while glaring at the five soldiers passing through.

"What did this guy do to make Lord Slug use the entire army to hunt him down?"

"Apparently, he killed one of our planted soldiers on some planet, and he's been asking about Turles. So, you know how our Lord gets when someone even mentions the Saiyan... Whoever that man is, I wouldn't want to be in his skin once they start "interrogating" him!"

Drops of sweat slid down Raditz's jawline as he observed them. He stood still like a statue while the soldiers lurked over the place. "Ugh! I shudder at the thought of what they did to the last guy who returned with useless information! Despite being of old age, Lord Slug is quite enthusiastic about stuff like that..." Great, the Saiyan thought. He had to deal with another Freeza type.

"Truly... Wait a second, guys! I'm detecting a heat signature coming from that place!"

Raditz clenched his teeth as the soldiers turned in his direction. "It might be a wild beast or maybe the person we're looking for... Either way, be on guard and report immediately to our officers!" He had to act before they did that.

Suddenly, the Saiyan emerged from the bush and immediately went after the soldier about to report back to the officers. Only one strike was enough to make the soldier drop to the ground. Raditz swirled and propelled himself after the next target. Others fired ki blasts at him, but the warrior easily avoided them. He reached the second one and just kicked him into another soldier. The Saiyan shifted his attention to the two men standing. One man stood because the other got frightened by Raditz's aggressive fighting style and ran.

Raditz didn't say a word, just growled as he zipped forward. The soldier fired a barrage of ki blasts at him, but the Saiyan deflected them. He materialized before the man, vaporizing him to dust with a simple energy wave. His cloak swayed, almost revealing his face as he turned in the opposite direction. Raditz bent his knees and flew after the last remaining soldier quickly.

"Ahh! Ahhh! This can't be happening! Reporting in! Reporting to everyone! I located the target! Get the officers at my location imme..."

The soldier couldn't finish the sentence as Raditz caught him from behind. He twisted the soldier's neck and left him to fall on the ground. Sweat dripped from the Saiyan's chin as he stared at the corpse. He lifted his head and focused. They were already nearby! Raditz cursed and dashed in the opposing direction. He covered lots of ground, but he could feel he was about to be cornered. His pursuers were mere moments from getting to him.

"Crap!"

Raditz halted as he reached the end of the forest. He found himself in an open, vast field covered with short grass. There were no trees or mountain chains that could provide some hiding. The Saiyan snarled and violently stomped the ground when his senses warned him of danger. He gazed up and saw four figures hovering above him. Raditz glared at them while the entire army formed a tight circle around him.

"Hehehe! Nowhere to run, little mouse! Hehe! We got you now!"

A throbbing vein surfaced on the Saiyan's forehead as he watched the four officers land. "You're damn right about that, Medamatcha! Come with us, or this is my favorite way; we'll force you to come!" Raditz glared at the giant alien with wings who greatly resembled someone he knew from his days as a Freeza Force soldier.

Raditz assumed a battle stance and scoffed at the creature's request. "Then come, let's see what you got, you fat piece of garbage!" Cold sweat rolled down his temple as he taunted the bulky creature. The plan was to rile them up and somehow try to escape through all the commotion.

"Ugh! Why you little! You just signed your death warrant, you moron! I'll bash your skull into the ground!"

The giant warrior spread his wings and flew after Raditz. "Dorodabo! Don't forget we need to bring him to Lord Slug alive!" Zeeun's commanding voice reached Dorodabo, who already knew that. However, he was sure his master wouldn't mind if he broke just a couple of bones in the man's body.

"You're going to regret this! Gahh!"

Raditz's eyes were wide open. The sheer speed utilized by this burly creature was something else. Acting fast, the Saiyan summoned his ki and fired a small blast into the ground. The explosion and the lifted smoke forced Dorodabo to halt. While the flying creature angrily shouted, Raditz was already in the air. The warrior fired several ki blasts from above. Dorodabo heard the sizzling noise from above and stared at the shower of violet energy blasts coming down on him.

"Nice try... But it won't work on me!"

Dorodabo flew toward the falling ki blasts without a single worry. The creature laughed as he flew around the attacks and effortlessly smacked them away. "What's this!? Is this all the power you got!? Weak!" Dorodabo quickly closed the distance and appeared in front of the target.

Raditz clenched his teeth and moved to the side, just barely. The Saiyan countered with a punch, but it was blocked. "Too slow, buddy... This is a fast one!" Before he could even process, a fast and mighty strike sent Raditz's crashing into the trees.

A roar echoed through the place while the Saiyan lay beneath broken trees. Blood poured out of his mouth and the wound on his forehead. "D-Dammnit! I-I can't compete with him or others... They're on another level! Maybe even stronger than Zarbon and Dodoria! C-Crap!" Raditz pushed the massive trees off himself and slowly got up.

"In my current state, I can't even land a single blow. But where to go!? I can't go anywhere... Wait!"

Suddenly, the Saiyan's expression changed. A perilous thought flashed through his mind. "I might end up dead or stronger than ever if I play my cards right... After all, didn't I swear to do anything in pursuit of higher power!?" Raditz closed his fists, so tight blood dripped out of them.

The warrior let out a ferocious cry as he leaned forward. Raditz used all of his might and flew back to the battlefield. "I can do this! I won't revert to the weakling I once was! I will do anything to get stronger than them! Through any means necessary! I won't be a laughingstock anymore!" Raditz approached his opponent and went in with a powerful kick.

However, his swing at the giant creature failed. "See you later, buddy!" Raditz released another battlecry before Dorodobo put him to sleep.
