Chapter 15
It's been 10 years since that crazy trip to Las Vegas, and a lot has happened. April and Teddy had gotten married. Teddy had finished medical school and was just finishing up her residency at the nearby hospital. She had gotten an offer from so many hospitals, including the one in Seattle that Addison had worked at briefly, but decided to stay close to home. Arizona still worked at the publishing company, and April as her assistant. Jamie and Sarah had gone back to Wisconsin but visited often. Barbara and Daniel were still living in the small house that sat in the back of April and Teddy's yard. Everything was good, everyone was happy, and Arizona and Callie were celebrating their 10-year wedding anniversary this weekend. Carlos had wanted them to have it at a venue, but Callie insisted they use the back yards. They had knocked down the fence between the two properties and now it was one big open area. He reluctantly agreed, but offered to pay for everything, Callie agreed and now she was supervising as they set up. Everything was coming together nicely, and Callie hadn't had to lift a finger. She honestly hadn't done much in the last 10 years, while Jamie was still in LA they recorded some more songs, but Callie never went any farther. Jamie had tried to talk her into doing a concert, but that wasn't what Callie wanted. "momma" a little voice said, looking down she saw her daughter's smiling face, and couldn't help but smile, she was the splitting image of Arizona "yes"
"there is someone at the door" the little girl said and ran back into the house. The having children talk started a few months after they were married, a few months later Arizona was on the hormones. As they were picking donors, they saw that one of Callie's cousins was on the list. Arizona had zoned in on that and had her mind set on that being the donor. Oddly enough, the blondes' genes took over and Callie got her wish to have a little Arizona. Callie pulled open the door, not sure who she expected on the other side. Smiling when she was met with a pair of blue eyes, and a smile "what are you doing here?"
"you think we'd miss your anniversary?" Jamie smiled pulling Callie into a hug, when Callie stepped back, she saw Sarah who smiled, and between her two friends she saw the little blonde hair blue eyed boy. "hello Trevor" Callie smiled
"hi" he said hiding behind Jamie's legs, causing Jamie to laugh
"I think Sam just ran into her room, if you want to go find her" the little boys face lit up and he ran into the house in search of his friend. Even though Jamie and Sarah moved back to their home state the couples still kept in close contact and even the kids were close. "well come on in" Callie smiled and stepped out of the way to let her friends in. "it's good to see you guys, it's been a while"
"yeah Trev is excited to see Sam" Sarah says looking around "I love what you've done with the place"
"thanks, Arizona" Callie laughed not needing to say anymore. "you two look good, Wisconsin is treating you well?"
"the winters suck" Jamie groaned "but yes, it's nice to have my mom and dad close"
"well you're always more than welcomed to come spend the winters here" Callie joked hearing footsteps behind her "Mrs. Torres" a mans voice said, she turned to find the guy who was in charge of setting up for the party standing in her kitchen "I have a quick question"
"I'll be back" she turned to Jamie and Sarah rolling her eyes, as the couple giggled.

Pulling into the driveway, April was talking, she'd been talking all damn day and Arizona was getting a headache. Thankful to finally be home, she saw a car she didn't recognize parked outside the garage. Confused, she looked at it, the car had California plates. April was still rambling when she took the keys out and got out, "I'll go drop my stuff off and be back over in a bit"
"really no need to hurry" Arizona said, trying not to offend her sister in law, but she just couldn't do it, after the day she had. Taking a deep breath she entered the house, expecting to be met by her daughter, she was a little butthurt when no one was in sight. "hello" she called out but got no answer. Setting her stuff down she made her way farther into the house. Hearing laughter coming from outside, she smiled for the first time since April started her rambling, in the elevator. Going to the door she stood and watched as two kids splashed around in the pool while the three adults sat at the table. When her eyes were met by the blue of her friend's, they shared a smile, and she made her way over, placing a kiss on Callie's cheek and giving her friends a hug. The standard greetings were had, how are you, you look great, blah, blah, blah, until the little blonde in the pool spotted her mommy was home from work "mommy" she squealed as water splashed everywhere. "mommy, I missed you so much"
"I was just at work"
"I know but I missed you, and now Trevor is here"
"I see that baby girl" she smiled, Callie reached for a towel and wrapped it around the little girl.
"I'm hungry" Trevor almost whined as he stood in front of them dripping.
"it is dinner time" Sarah said looking at her phone for the time, Callie nodded and stood, making her way into the house. The party people had left a few hours ago, scheduled to be back early in the morning. Callie made her way into the house, opening the fridge, she saw nothing. Sighing she closed it and reached for her phone. Pizza it was. After placing the order, which she had doubled knowing Teddy and April would be joining them, and of course Barbara and Daniel. Usually Barbara was in the kitchen of one of the two houses cooking but with the party she told the girls they could fend for themselves. Shaking her head, she made her way back to the group, as predicted both her sister-in-laws were sitting at the table, and from the voices coming she knew Daniel and Barbara would be there soon. Taking her seat at the table "I ordered pizza"
"pizza!" the little boy shouted "we get pizza"
"shh Trev" Sarah laughs "yes you get pizza"
"I love pizza" he sang, and started to dance around Sam didn't know what was going on but she sang and danced with him. "we don't order in much back home, if I'm not cooking, Lori comes over and does it" Sarah says.
"normally I cook" Barbara says joining the party "with Teddy's work schedule, and sometimes April and Arizona are late getting home" she smiles
"I love having parents" Teddy smiles sitting back in her chair. It wasn't long before the sound of the doorbell was heard and Arizona stood to answer, coming back with 5 huge boxes of pizzas. Before they know it, the sun has set and the two youngest are asleep in Sam's room, leaving the adults alone. "where are Laura and Jo?" Teddy finally asks
"back home, Jo is getting ready to start a tour, so they wanted to stay home and spend time together" Jamie said
"it's so awesome she won the show" Arizona smiled
"it was" Jamie smiled "it means I know what I'm doing"
"in more ways than one" Sarah leaned into her kissing her cheek, causing them all to laugh. Arizona let out a yawn, causing Callie to take the lead "I think it's time for bed. The guest room is all ready for you guys, and help yourself to whatever"
"thanks Callie" Jamie smiled, "we know where everything is" she winked when they come to visit they stay at the house instead of a hotel.

Arizona let out a moan as her head hit the pillow. "long day?"
"you have no idea" she rolled over
"well enlighten me then" Callie said crawling into bed.
"I don't want to bore you" Arizona let out a sigh "I'm just happy it's the weekend"
"you do realize it's going to be hell around here right?" Callie laughed as she got comfortable, Arizona made her way across the bed, placing her head on Callie's chest. "no worst then what we went through 10 years ago"
"mmm, aint that the truth" Callie kissed Arizona's forehead, she could tell it wouldn't be long before her wife was passed out. She sent up a silent prayer that her daughter would sleep in, so Arizona could get some rest. Normally the little blonde was up with the sun, ready to start her day. "I love you" Arizona mumbled, just before sleep took her.
"I love you too" Callie said kissing her again, she closed her eyes and sleep took over.

The party was in full swing, a DJ had been set up on Teddy and April's patio area, with tables laid out everywhere. More people had shown up than either Callie or Arizona had anticipated, but it was good. Friends of Callie's parents and cousins she hadn't seen in 20 plus years. Not to mention the friends they met over the past 10 years. "Robbins" Arizona turned hearing her name and smiled at her boss "Miranda, thanks for coming."
"I wouldn't miss free food and drinks" Miranda smiled "I can't believe it's been ten years."
"I know neither can I, it's been" Arizona laughed.
"you're great at your job" Miranda winked "as a matter of fact I have something I need to talk to you about on Monday, so when you get to the office come find me" she said taking a sip of her beverage Arizona nodded and smiled as Callie kissed her cheek "Miranda" Callie nodded towards the woman.
"hello Callie you look good"
"thanks" Callie laughed their conversation was interrupted by the crackling of a microphone, turning their attention to where the DJ was Arizona let out a groan when she saw her sister, April and Addison all standing there. "can I have everyone's attention?" Teddy said into the mic. As everyone quieted down. "ok great" she laughed "for those of you who don't know me, or can't tell I'm Arizona's twin sister Teddy, and this is my amazing wife April, and Callie's bestie Addison" Teddy said, pulling the mic away from her mouth to talk to the other two women. April took the mic, "you know when I first met Arizona, I didn't realize she'd come to mean so much to me. She was my boss, and quickly became my best friend. When she told me about Callie, I honestly didn't even know she was gay" April giggled "through out the years, you have always had mine and Teddy's backs, and the best damn boss I could ask for. Here's to another ten years" April holds up her drink and downs it. As Addison takes the mic "augh I hate doing this" the red head smiled "but Callie, you've been my ride or die for so long, I can't remember a time when you weren't who I ran to with my men issues, if you know me at all you know I have trouble keeping a relationship" she paused meeting Callie's eyes. Causing Callie to blush a little, over the years she had known way too much about Addison's sex life. "remember that one time I thought I might be gay?" Callie shook her head "anyway, I just want to say congratulations on ten years, and the family you two have created, I'm so grateful I'm a part of it" she smiled and took a drink. Teddy took back the mic, "Zo" she said finding Arizona in the crowd of people, when their eyes met she let out a sniffle "you are my best friend, always have been always will be, we have that connection, only twins can have. And when you abandoned me in hell"
"again I didn't abandon you" Arizona rolled her eyes
"when you abandoned me in hell" Teddy finished "I was so lost, I've always heard about the connection twins have, but with you always right beside me I never felt it until we were a million miles away from each other"
"ugh" Arizona groaned, Teddy laughed "Callie is perfect for you, I knew that the first time I met her, and I wish you the best for the next ten years" she holds up her drink and downs it. The mic turns off and music starts to play again. Callie reached for her hand "care to dance wife?"
"I'd love to" Arizona smiled taking Callie's hand

The day went by in a blur, Callie and Arizona spent a lot of time dancing and kissing. The sun had long set, and the tables were cleared away, the DJ was playing one last song before she was done. Callie and Arizona were once again on the dance floor, dancing slowly. "did you ever imagine it would be like this?" Callie asked
"like what?"
"us, happily married celebrating our ten year anniversary" Callie said as she slowly turned them around.
"well" Arizona pulled back looking into Callie's eyes "with you I always knew we'd make it" they smiled and shared a kiss. Callie felt someone come beside her and hip check her, turning to look she smiled seeing Jamie and Sarah dancing, next came Teddy and April, and on her other side she turned to see Addison dancing with, she had to laugh, Addison had drug Daniel out for a dance. And a quick look around found Barbara dancing with Carlos. "look" she whispered to Arizona, and they laughed, as Carlos and Barbara danced over to the group. The close net group, who had turned into family. Arizona leaned into Callie "I love you Calliope."
"I love you Arizona, here's to ten more wonderful years" Arizona nodded and kissed her. Laying her head on Callie's chest "dreams really do come true" Callie smiled and pulled her wife in close. "they did when I met you"
