I so happy that you are all liking this story! This chapter is a little intense and I hope you all don't hate me for what you're about to read.

I got a comment about Lucy's age "Finally being revealed." I said her age in the chapter that you met Lucy and Ultear, so it wasn't actually a reveal. I'm sorry if some of you miss that part. I was trying to make an irony about how old Gray and Lyon thought she was, so sorry if you all missed out.

Gray and Lucy were walking through the woods. It had been about a week since the incident at the flower shop. Lyon didn't say anything, just as planned, and he hadn't seen anything suspicious since. Gray had broken up with Cana days before, and he couldn't get the memory out of his head. Lucy was as carefree as ever. She couldn't remember anything about herself yet, nor did she remember anything from the flower shop.

"I just love snow," Lucy said, stopping to sit on the ground. She didn't even care that she was only wearing a dress, meaning she would probably get cold and wet quickly.

"Here, sit on my coat," Gray said, shrugging off the clothing and laying it on the ground. She smiled up at him before sitting down. She began to draw different patterns in the snow.

"Cana, we need to talk," Gray said, pushing his way into the brunette's bedroom.

"I can't now," Cana said, digging through her closet. She was throwing clothes onto her bed, only a few things actually landing in her suitcase. "There was an issue at one of the factories and they want me to check it out. I should only be gone a couple days, so we can talk then." She shoved everything into the suitcase and zipped it up.

"No, we have to talk now." He grabbed her arm, stopping her from leaving the room. She looked up at him in confusion, clearly not understanding one bit why he was there. He let out a deep sigh. "We can't be together anymore."

"What?" she gasped, pulling her arm away. "What are you saying?"

"I'm breaking up with you." He tried not to look at her pained face.

"What did I do? Is there another girl? Have you been cheating on me and now you feel guilty?"

"No, it isn't anything you did, and I didn't cheat on you. There's not another girl. This just isn't working. I'm ending this before we get too serious."

"Seriously?! You don't want to get too serious? Geez, Gray! The only way we could get any more serious is marrying or having a kid." Her eyes widened. "Is that what this is about? You don't want to get married? Well, I wasn't offering!"

"Good, then you understand."

"No, I don't understand. How could you get freaked out over something that wasn't even on the table?"

He began walking out of the room. She was still screaming at him, but he tuned her out. She didn't follow him, so he knew that she understand his mind was made up.

"Look, it's a flower!" Lucy cheered.

Gray looked and saw that a lopsided pile of snow was in the shape of a flower. It wasn't a perfect flower, but it was close enough, he supposed. "Yeah, that's nice," he said, still kind of lost in his thoughts.

She tapped the top. Instead of it crumbling down, it frosted over, looking better than it did before. It looked like a perfect lily. She smiled wide in surprise.

If he wasn't paying attention before, he sure was then. She just turned snow to ice! "How did you do that?" he asked, dropping to his knees beside her. Was she a Winter Guardian? Was that even possible? Wendy and Romeo were already Guardians, so could there really be more? It would make sense if she was one, though, since she was always running around in dresses and never cold.

"I don't know," she said with a shrug. "I just sort of thought about it and realized I could make it look a lot better, so I did. I'll try something else!" She stood up, bringing up a bunch of snow with her. It turned into a perfect snowman. She started laughing and skipping down the path.

Gray scrambled to run after her. He couldn't believe that she "just knew." Most Guardians don't realize their powers until they use them on accident, yet she knew she could use them. Did that mean she was a Guardian before and she just forgot?

"Lucy," he said, catching up to her. She turned around to look at him, still walking. "Are you a Guardian?"

She hummed, putting a finger to her chin. "That sounds really familiar." She stopped moving and concentrated. Where had she heard that before?

Gray couldn't believe it. She was a Winter Guardian! She had obviously heard the word before, so that meant that someone had met with her before. Maybe it was a past Guardian. They could have sent her his way. That wouldn't explain the memory loss, though.

Lucy leaned in closer to look at Gray. He seemed to come back to reality, his cheeks turning slightly pink as he did so. She didn't exactly realize that she was practically flat against him, her face close to his. "How old are you?"

"Me?" He was surprised at the question. "I'm twenty-two."

"Hmm." She smiled wide. "You know, you're only four years older than me. I thought you were older than that."

Gray's blush deepened. She was eighteen?! He went and bought an eighteen-year-old clothes and bathed with her multiple times. The whole situation was different now. "Seriously? I thought you were fifteen!"

"What fifteen-year-old have you seen with huge boobs?" she asked, crossing her arms. She didn't realize that her comment and action just made him give her figure a once-over. "I'm not a little girl!"

Just to prove her point, she put one hand on his hip and one of his neck, pulling him down to her. His eyes widened in surprise as their lips made contact. He overcame his surprise and pulled her closer, deepening the kiss. She had never actually kissed anyone before, so she felt like she was on Cloud 9. The kiss was a spontaneous decision, one she was glad she made.

"Gray!"

The shouting in the distance seemed to make Gray realize what he was doing. He took three steps back from Lucy, surprised to find her blushing heavily and looking at the ground with a quivering lip. It looked like she was about to cry.

Lyon came running towards them down the path, Wendy and Romeo in tow. They slowed down to a walk when they were within ear-shot. Lyon was the only one that seemed to realize that something happened between the two.

"Lucy!" Wendy cheered, running over to talk to the blonde. Romeo followed with a similar smile.

Lyon pulled Gray off to the side. "What exactly happened?" he asked. He shook his head. "Actually, never mind that. Listen! Lucy is a Summer Guardian!"

Gray visibly flinched. "What makes you say that?" He knew that was impossible. She had just been controlling snow and ice!

"We went to Meredy's shop last week and she made this flower grow. She zoned out and the whole store went crazy! Everything grew huge and the lights were flickering. I decided not to say anything, since nothing else happened after that, but Grandine just called me to her place. She said that last time you brought her there she had suspected that she was a Summer Guardian. She wanted to ask me if I noticed anything," Lyon explained. "So I figured now was a good time to tell you."

Gray's eyes widened in horror. "There's no way." He clenched his fists. "That's impossible!" He pointed to where the snowman and flower were a few feet away. "She did that! She made a flower out of the snow and froze it. She lifted the snow and made a snowman! There's no way she's a Summer Guardian!"

They had to go talk to Grandine. Something big was about to happen. They didn't know what it would be, or if it would be good or bad, but it was coming.
