Chapter 69 Mega Delta Hunt
Now Ash and Lillie resume their trials, they find a Mega Stone for Meganium located at Spear Pillar thanks to the help from Cynthia. And then they have a trade-in Sonata City with a Firebreather. He wants a Druddigon, so they capture a Druddigon and trade it for a Cyndaquill that is holding the Mega Stone.
"Looks like we can finally have a normal Typhlosion." Lillie says.
"You're right. I can't wait to see how the Mega Typhlosion looks." Ash says.
After training and evolving the Typhlosion, they manage to Mega Evolve the Typhlosion. Once they finish it, they notice that the ability is Hubris.
"What is Hubris?" Ash asks.
Lillie says, "Let's see... When a Pokémon with Hubris causes another Pokémon including allies to faint through direct damage, its Special Attack rises by one stage. Not only Mega Typhlosion, but Mega Delta Venusaur can also learn it as well."
"Oh right, we do have the Mega Stone for Delta Venusaur as well." Ash says. "But that is similar to the Battle Bond ability that our Greninja has."
Then they also find the Feraligatite in Cyan Cave, then they decide to go search for some Delta Pokemon. When they arrive at Holon Mountain, they find a Rock Climb spot leading to the wall with notes on it.
"Looks like we have another wall to use Relic Song." Ash says.
Then they activate the Relic Song and they suddenly teleport to a cliff where a Delta Hoothoot is located.
"You know, although we already know that we're going to find the Delta Hoothoot. But that reminds me, we have a Delta Noctowl, but we never got to see its pre-evolution." Lillie says.
"Why don't you try to capture it, Lillie? Maybe our Delta Noctowl can teach him a lot." Ash says.
Lillie nods as she battles the Delta Hoothoot, and despite being an Ice Type, Lillie still has Charizard defeating the Pokemon to make it captured.
Delta Hoothoot: The Snow Owl Pokemon. Ice and Flying Type. Its ears are sensitive enough to hear a snowflake fall upon the snow on the ground from across the forest.
After capturing the Pokemon, with Delta Noctowl's help, the Hoothoot eventually evolves into the Noctowl and the two of them often share their wisdom with each other and converse new strategies.
"Our next Delta is the Delta Lanturn, but we already captured it, so that is a check." Lillie says while looking at the list.
"Yeah... maybe we should try finding more Mega Stones." Ash says.
They find a Sudowoodite near the northeasternmost entrance to Samsara Cave, and the Politoedite in the Holon Undercave which is close to where they captured the Delta Dratini.
After getting to Suntouched City, they find a man who asks, "Hello, Augur. Would you be interested in helping me out with something?"
"What's the matter?" Ash asks.
"You see, I've been trying to maintain the flower patch on the upper layer of the city, but it's an absolute nightmare. Something keeps getting in and wreaking havoc all over it. Destruction everywhere."
"Do you know what is causing the trouble?" Lillie asks.
"I don't know what it is, and I wouldn't be able to stop it if I did - I'm no trainer! Do you think you can help me out?"
"Of course." Ash says as they get to the upper garden. Once they get there, the man says, "This little demon has been coming in every night and destroying my flowers. I've had to replant them every day! And it only appears when nobody's watching..."
"So we need to find a way to lure it here." Ash says. "Lillie, do you have any suggestions?"
"Do you think if we had some Honey, we could maybe entice it to visit?" Lillie asks.
"Well, we do have some Honey with us." Ash says while taking out the jar of Honey. Then he gives it to the old man so that he can spray it on the tree.
"Okay. I spread the Honey. We shou-" Before he can finish, the culprit Pokemon appears, and much to Ash and Lillie's surprise, it is a Delta Aipom.
"The culprit is here! Please. You need to help! Do whatever you can! Stop this little demon from rampaging through my beautiful garden!" The man begs.
"Of course!" Lillie throws the Quick Ball, and the Delta Aipom is captured.
Delta Aipom: The Ghost Tail Pokemon. Ghost and Normal Type. It sneakily places the end of its tail on people's shoulders, making others wonder if they saw a white hand.
"Thank you for your help. My Garden is now safe." The man says.
"No problem." Ash and Lillie bid farewell to the man and return to their house, after sending out the Delta Aipom, they decide to train him. with Dawn and the Alola Gang by her side.
"Wow, Lillie. You are not afraid of ghosts anymore..." Mallow says.
"After what happened in the past and since I'm now a Ghost Type, it doesn't really bother me. Although the only thing I have to worry about is Snowy accidentally attacking me, since it might be super effective on me." Lillie says.
"So is the Delta Aipom evolve in the same way as a normal Aipom?" Dawn asks. "You need to use Double Hit to evolve after all."
"Well, that's why we're training so he can master Double Hit." Ash says.
After training for a while, they finally evolve Aipom into Ambipom.
Delta Ambipom: The Ghost Arm Pokemon. Ghost and Normal Type. Evolve from Delta Aipom by learning Double Hit. It plays pranks by frightening people with its detachable head. If its spirit leaves its body, its body is left without arms.
After Delta Ambipom is done, they head to Oranos Town and find a Sunflorite on the ground. But after they try out the Mega Evolution, they look at the Pokedex and are surprised to see there are two different forms.
"Sunflora has two forms?" Ash asks in surprise.
"Its ability is Unleafed. When a Pokémon with Unleafed enters the battle, its Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed are increased by one stage each. As for the forms... We have a Male one, so that is Grass and Fire Type. The Female one is only a Grass Type."
"Grass and Fire sounds like an amazing combo." Ash says.
Delta Sunflora also wants to try out the Mega Evolution, and fortunately, they try out the Poképon, a luck-based game found in Sonata City that is based on Gashapon. They try a lot of times and find two Mega Stones inside. One is for Delta Sunflora, and the other one is for Girafarig.
After Delta Sunflora Mega Evolves, Ash says, "Delta Sunflora has the ability Chlorofury. When a Pokémon with Chlorofury enters the battle, its Speed is raised by one stage and its Special Attack is raised by one stage for each fainted Pokémon on the user's team. After two turns, these stat changes are removed.
Lillie also tries with Girafarig, and she says, "As for Girafarig, with the Etigirafarigite we have here, the head on its tail is really large and creeps us out. But it has Spectral Jaws. Spectral Jaws causes all biting moves used by the Pokémon to be reclassified as Special moves and receive a 30% boost."
Then the next Pokemon they are finding is in Holon Marsh. They try to use the Honey in the flower gardens to see if they can lure the Delta Pokemon that they want. And after leaving the area and getting back again, they are happy to see the Delta Yanma.
"There is the Delta Yanma we're looking for." Ash says as they capture the Pokemon.
Delta Yanma: The Leaf Wing Pokemon. Grass and Flying Type. Though it specializes in camouflage, it is also a great flier capable of quickly chasing down lured prey.
"Like Ambipom, I assume that it evolves in the same way as the normal one. A normal Yanma evolves by learning Ancient Power." Lillie says.
They train the Yanma until it learns Ancient Power, and just as they thought. It evolves into Delta Yanmega.
Delta Yanmega: The Ogre Flytrap Pokémon. Grass and Flying Type. Evolve from Delta Yanma by learning Ancient Power. Using its wings to generate massive gusts, it blends in with surrounding foliage and tricks prey into seeking shelter beneath its leaves.
"Okay, I was not a fan of Flytrap Pokemon..." Ash says. "Since they usually try to show affection by dragging us into their mouths..."
"You mean like Carnivine or Victreebel. That sure was something." Lillie says. "The next on the list is Delta Wooper. But from what the guide said, it should appear in Vipik City."
"But we found it as one of the caged Pokemon by Team Perfection and we saved them in the Game Corner in Roggan Town." Ash says. "So what was the original quest?"
"There was a tree stump near the Pokemon Center where Delta Wooper will come. To attract it, we have to put treats there. Like Castelia Cones, Honey, Lava Cookies, Old Gateau, Rage Candy Bar, Rare Candy, Sweet Heart, and Whipped Dream. Then it will come between 12:00 a.m. to 5:59 a.m."
"That's when we're trying to sleep. I'm glad that we didn't need to do this task." Ash says with relief. "That also reminds me. Misdreavus was also one of the Pokemon that we skipped the task because of Perfection Cult."
"Yeah, in Deyraan Town, there were snow figures popping up without anybody noticing, and it turned out to be the Delta Mismagius family who did the whole thing." Lillie says.
"So after skipping those two, we're now for Delta Girafarig." Lillie says.
They head to Route 16 and find a house with a lady inside. The lady says, "Are you interested in trading Pokemon? For... you see... I am the owner of a rare Delta Species. I'll trade it to you, if you want... but I need something suitable in return. My Delta Girafarig for any fully evolved Pokemon with an elemental Hyper Beam move!"
"Elemental Hyper Beam move?" Ash asks Lillie.
"That means Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, and Hydro Cannon. I know for sure that only the Starter Pokemon from other regions can learn that. Since we're close to Narra Town, there are Venusaurs there for us to capture."
They head to the town and capture the Venusaur, and with the help of a move learner, they finally get the conditions meet and trade for the Delta Girafarig.
Delta Girafarig: The Tormented Pokémon. Steel and Poison Type. The tail's insults temper the Pokémon's iron will, becoming stronger as the Pokémon grows.
"Now we also need to find a Mega Stone for the Delta Girafarig." Ash says. "It is said to be in Settlement Oscar."
When they get to the settlement, they find a man who has the item they want, a Delta Etigirafarigite. When asked how to get it, he just wants them to show him Ash's brother Zennith. Ash sighs as he reveals that he's Zennith's brother, and they have to prove it by using the Pokegears. And thanks to Zennith, they finally get to Mega Evolve their Delta Girafarig.
Here is a new chapter, and as you can see, the Delta Wooper and Misdreavus quest is from a new update after I started the story, and that's why I didn't include the quests in the first chapters. Now you know how to obtain them and I also include a lot more of the Delta Pokemon native to Johto Region. I hope you like this chapter and we'll finish the Johto Legendaries and more Mega Stones, Delta Pokemon, and more reactios in the next chapter.
