The long wait is finally over. Here's the next chapter :)

After Ultear shared her mother's past with Erza, the two got to work. They looked at every spine of every book in the whole section of Night Spells. Oddly enough, they couldn't find the book. They searched a second time, then a third.

"This is strange," Ultear mumbled. "It should be here somewhere."

"Didn't you say that Lucy cast it?" Erza asked. "I don't see why she would be in this section, anyways. Maybe it go put in the Day section by accident."

The thought hadn't occurred to Ultear, but she definitely understood Erza's thought process. They both ran over to the Day Magic section. Ultear knew that if Lucy had used the book, then it must not have been in the correct place to begin with, so the book wouldn't be in any specific place now.

Ultear hardly ever went into the library, so books were never taken off the shelf by her. Lucy, however, had spent many hours in the library in her short time as a Guardian. The girl simply soaked up information like a sponge. Because of this, there was always a cart sitting around with a dozen or so books on it, the ones that Lucy hadn't gotten to putting away yet. And, if Lucy had tried so hard to find the perfect spell for Ultear's birthday, then Ultear was willing to bet her life that there would be a few spell books on that cart, including the one containing Urano Metria.

"Are you sure that you had the correct name for the book?" Erza asked, her eyes scanning over the spell books on the cart. "It doesn't look like it's here at all."

"I'm positive," Ultear said, shaking her head in disbelief. "It's a dangerous spell, so it would be in a forbidden book. Since there's only one, it has to be there."

"Well I'm really not-" Erza cut off her sentence and pulled a book off the cart. "What's this?" She delicately ran her fingers over the front cover and spine. "Does this seem a little glassy to you?"

Ultear took the book from Erza and looked at the cover. "Some books are in better condition than others. If this is newer, then the cover would have that protective gloss on it, since they do that nowadays," she explained.

Erza nodded, but she wasn't convinced. Daily Spells for Your Daily Life seemed like it would be just any other spellbook, but she just felt like there was something off about it. "Ultear, can I take this with me?" she asked.

"You can, but I don't see why you're getting so hung up on a basic book like that." Ultear laughed. "I mean, I'm just happy to see that there's at least one book in decent condition in this library. Most of them are all so old."

Erza wanted to believe Ultear, but she felt something very dark within the pages of the book.

"This would be the last town, right?" Juvia asked. She let her finger drift over the map of Earthland. "Yeah, every other town is drowning in rain." She let out a soft laugh.

"Don't you think it's a bit cruel?" Lyon asked. "I mean, the snow just disappears and no one can even enjoy it! They're still stuck with rain."

"Lyon's right," Laxus agreed. "There's too much rain! Let's dial that down a notch and just make more lightning."

"Absolutely not!" Juvia said. "This is fine. We'll let the rain stop in a couple days, but for now we're just going to let it run its course."

"Why do you always get to use your element all the time?" Laxus mumbled under his breath, earning a glare from Juvia.

Gray rolled his eyes at the three bickering Guardians. "I don't really care how much it's raining," he said. "It's almost April anyways. What happened to 'April's showers bring May's flowers?'"

More like Juvia's rain brings Lucy's flowers, Laxus thought bitterly. He looked to Juvia, and she seemed to be thinking the same thing he was. If they didn't find Lucy, there might not be any flowers anymore. Ultear was only able to make cold nights, and Juvia and Laxus weren't able to make anything warm. Juvia usually made sure the rain was warmer than usual and Gray used his powers to make the snow recede, which usually worked for Spring. But summer? There was no way.

"Okay, we'll make sure to finish up this town before heading back home," Juvia said after a pregnant pause.

"Don't do too much," Gray reminded her. "If you make my town just as warm as the others it will make my mountain suspicious."

"Of course," Juvia nodded. Laxus was still a little dazed with worry, so she pulled him out of his chair. "If I do make it too warm, have Wendy blow some cold air down the mountain. It would be good practice for her."

Juvia and Laxus were obviously trying to push themselves out the door, but Gray hardly noticed. With the mention of Wendy, his mind wandered to Lucy, wondering when she would be back. He had missed the blonde, despite her not being gone all that long.

After Juvia and Laxus left, Gray went to his main living room to relax. Lyon made his way to the kitchen and made himself some coffee, then sat down to think. It was painfully obvious that everyone had been acting strange as of late, and he was determined to figure out what was going on.

Gray and Cana had broken up, that much Lyon knew. He wasn't aware of how or why, but he knew that Gray wasn't even bothered. He hoped that Lucy didn't have anything to do with that, but Lyon was not blind nor stupid. Cana, however, was probably a wreck. He hadn't seen her in a day or two, so he only hoped that she had settled down a bit, because Lyon was fairly certain Gildarts had come to town. It would be bad if Gildarts decided to march up the mountain to berate Gray for breaking his daughter's heart.

Laxus and Juvia had been acting distracted as well. Lyon couldn't quite find a pattern with what made them go silent, so he would just have to continue observing and hope some explanation came up. He had noticed, however, that it almost looked like they were searching for something. Juvia would say she had to go to the bathroom, then come back ten minutes later, saying she got lost on her way back. Laxus had been trying hard not to bring up any other seasons, which was weird, as well. Was something going on with Summer or Fall? Natsu and Erza hadn't visited in awhile, so there was a very good chance that something was wrong there.

Lucy was another issue entirely. It had been nearly four months since her arrival, and they had no idea who she was or what to do with her. No one had come looking for her, either. He had been checking the news around the world to see if anyone reported Lucy missing, but nothing ever came up. He couldn't even find her with his "Santa software." He remembered that Lucy had said something about remembering a man, and he had hoped that the man would have been a brother. He had searched nearly every Lucy with a brother and nothing came up that way.

"I wouldn't think so hard," a joking voice said, snapping Lyon from his train of thought. "Your face may freeze like that."

Lyon rolled his eyes at Gray, who had just entered the kitchen with Wendy, Romeo, and Lucy in tow. Lyon must have been thinking longer than he thought.

"Wendy and Romeo are going to hang out here until you go home," Gray told his brother. "They're just going to walk down with you. With the snow melting a bit, I don't want them going alone in case they slip."

Wendy and Romeo rolled their eyes and giggled at Gray's worry.

"Why don't you just go with them now?" Lyon asked. "It's not like it would take you long." He knew that with that slide, it would take seconds to go down the mountain. The trip up would be almost as fast.

"Sorry, can't," Gray simply said.

Lyon was going to tell his brother to explain himself further, but one look at Lucy answered his question. The girl was bright red. He realized that they must have had plans, possibly a date.

Lyon's mind began swirling again. If Lucy was a Summer Guardian as he and Grandine both thought, then she should not be spending any more time with Gray than necessary. Plus, if that man she remembered was a boyfriend, then Gray really shouldn't be going out with Lucy alone.

Lyon was about to share his thoughts with Gray, but he and Lucy were already gone.
