This is it guys. It's been one hell of a ride and I'm so grateful that you stuck it out with me to the end. You're my favourite people just by giving me the push and inspiration to move forward. I'm sincerely sorry that I've made you wait for so long and I'm hoping I did this justice.

Thank you so much. Really.

ENJOY!

90 – You Are Now Leaving Midtown

~*~Spencer's PoV~*~

Music filled the air as the stars blinked heavily above us. The summer air was warm at night but not uncomfortably so. Ashley and I had time to go and change into more appropriate celebration clothes and now she was flaunting her abs in a cut off shirt and low cut jeans.

I watched her from across the makeshift dance floor. We were celebrating behind the arena in a large park area. Aiden had a few friends help set up at large tent they rented and of course my dad had to make sure we had all the right permits to throw a wedding reception but since it wasn't government owned, we were good to go.

She was chatting with the band as they took a short break. She was absolutely glowing and I couldn't help but smile and admire from afar.

"You know, you don't have to stare at her. She's your wife, go grab her and just kiss the fuck out of her." Carmen strolled up beside me with an arm slung around my shoulders.

"I will. I'm just basking in the moment." I smiled and tilted my head slightly. "Look at her Carm, she's so comfortable talking with the band. She belongs in music. I wish she'd take Alex up on her offer and work in the studio with the artists."

"I bet she would but she loves it where she is, Spence. You two have a life in Kenora and I don't think she wants to give that up anytime soon. Plus, she seems to really enjoy being a music teacher." Carmen shrugged. "Isn't she doing both anyway?"

"She does more bookings and paperwork. Stuff she can take on while at home really. There's only been a couple of times she's had to fly out but they were only day or two day trips at most." I smiled as Ashley tilted her head back in laughter at something the lead singer had said.

"Well if I were her, I wouldn't leave you for too long either." She winked and hip checked me playfully. "I'm kidding. I know you're married now and I may be a lot of things, but homewrecker is not one of them. You just have to get over the fact that you missed a chance with me." Carmen smirked and kissed my cheek. "I'm happy for you, really. I always knew you and Ash were meant to be."

"Sap." I shoved her off of me but kept a hold of her hand. "You've been the best friend a girl could have, thank you." I offered sincerely. "I can't wait until your wedding."

"I'm not getting married." Carmen shook her head. "It kills the sex drive."

"Whatever." I laughed. "Do you miss being coupled up?"

Carmen took a chance and glanced at Sammy, who was dancing with Matthew in her arms as Hannah, Dylan and Cailyn danced around her. "She's happy, so I'm happy. I wasn't about to ask her to marry me or anything," a smile tugged at the corner of her lips, "besides, with how this family works, it'd be like incest. She's practically your sister and well, despite how much I hit on you, you're my family. So gross."

"A simple no would've been good but I got you. Little Carmen Mandez has feelings, who would've thought?" I teased and she punched me.

"Fuck you." She feigned hurt but smiled when I rubbed my arm.

"Playing nice, I hope." Alex walked up to us and handed me a drink.

"As nice as Carmen can, I guess." I shrugged.

"Your girl looks really hot on the dance floor, Al." Carmen wiggled her eyebrows and winked.

"Yes, she does." Alex smiled fondly. "So, what do you think of Cera?" She asked me excitedly.

"They are really good, Aly." I stated proudly and looked towards the stage where Ashley was helping set them back up. "I should go talk to them." I excused myself from Carmen but Alex followed me. "Gorgeous ladies." I approached them with a smile and hugged Lia. "You guys are doing a wonderful job. I think these ladies are lucky to have you on their label."

"We'll be making them shit tons of money, that's for sure." Seth winked and nudged Ashley with her elbow, making her laugh.

"I don't think I've ever been as nervous playing than I do now." Lia admitted. "Not only in the presence of Alex Carlin, musician extraordinaire, but for music mogul Ashley Davies and gold medalist, Spencer Carlin. This is insane."

"Get used to it." Ashley smiled warmly. "You'll be playing for hundreds and thousands once we put your album together."

I nodded my agreement. "You should be proud of yourselves."

"Thanks Mrs. D." Lia smiled widely at me and I blushed slightly at the new name.

"Mm, I like that sound of that. Mrs. Davies." Ashley winked at me and pulled me tight against her side.

I nuzzled her neck before pulling back. "Me too."

"Why don't you two go out there and dance, celebrate!" Alex shooed us away towards the dance floor.

Ashley and I stepped onto the dance floor just as Lia had started playing a soft rock melody. "May I have this dance?" My wife asked me with a sweet, soft smile playing at her lips.

"Always." I bowed my head slightly and wrapped my arms around her waist as we swayed slowly with the music.

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you the most adorable and perfect couple, Mrs. Ashley and Spencer Davies!" Alex spoke into the mic and the crowd burst into more cheers. "May they live a long happy life together. You two are the reason we all believe in true love. I'm grateful, thankful and a little spoiled at having Ashley as a part of our family, officially. I love you ladies so much. Congratulations!"

I pulled Ashley to me as everyone started to chant 'kiss her' over and over again. I brushed my lips against hers and kept it sweet and short. When I stepped back slightly, Ashley still had her eyes closed, like she was savoring that moment. "You're not dreaming, I promise." I whispered.

"I better not be, because if I wake up and none of this is real, I'll be severely devastated." She played with the back of my neck, her fingers teasing the nape slightly. "This just all seems so perfect. I'm scared it's not real."

"It's real." I smiled and shook my head. "This is beyond anything I've ever imagined, Ash. You did this for me. For us. The proposal, the arena, the reception… every single detail was all you. I'm in complete awe and just, thank you. You made today so perfect." I kissed her gently.

"You deserve perfect." Ashley murmured, her eyes shining with love. I could feel it radiate off of her and it was such a beautiful thing to feel.

"Moms!" Lucas came running up to us with Matthew and Dylan close behind. "I can't believe how cool our parents are!" She pumped her fists in the air. "Matthew, we have the coolest Moms, right?"

"Right!" He gave her a high five, his toothless smile brightening up the place even more.

"Well, I hope you'll always think we're cool." I winked at Lucas and she rolled her eyes and laughed, hugging me.

"As long as I can continue playing hockey, we're good!" Luc mumbled and squeezed me tighter.

"Want to dance, little guy?" Ashley asked Matthew as he nodded enthusiastically. She picked him up and placed him between us.

Dylan and Lucas grabbed each other and started dancing next to us.

"This is the perfect family." I whispered as I kissed Matthew's cheek, causing him to squirm and giggle loudly.

~*~Alex's PoV~*~

It was late and the people were starting to head home. I was too pumped up to feel dead on my feet but I could tell by looking at Ashley and Spencer, they were ready to pack it in as well. They looked so happy and content, dancing slowly together, whispering sweet nothings.

Jaiden was still with Lucas and Anton at their table, laughing about god knows what. Glen had offered to take Dylan, Matthew, Hannah and Cailyn back to Mom and Dad's so they could get tucked into bed.

Aiden and Kyla were missing but they couldn't have gone far because Anton was still hanging out, wide-awake.

Cera had packed up their equipment and were hanging out at the open bar for a few drinks before heading back to my place to crash.

A few family members were still visiting and partying it up on the dance floor where Carmen DJ'd for the remainder of the night.

"Ready to leave soon?" Sammy came up beside me and put a hand on my shoulder. "We have an early morning at your parents for their famous brunch."

"I'm going to wait until Spencer and Ash leave. They might want help with the clean up." I rolled my neck and kissed her hand.

"Ashley paid for cleaners, Alexis." Sammy smiled at me and ran her fingers through my hair.

"I forgot about that." I sighed softly. "I'm not exactly ready to leave yet though. If you wanted to, I could meet you back at the house."

"Nah, I'll stick with my wife for the night." She whispered coyly and slid onto my lap, wrapping her arm around my shoulder. "Do you wish we had a wedding like this?"

"No." I shook my head without even thinking about it. "We did it right, it was right for us. Do you?" I glanced up at her.

"Not really, no. I won't lie though and say I can't wait until we can celebrate with our friends and family." Sam smiled at me, her eyes twinkling.

"We will, don't worry. Just, let them have their day." I gestured to the newlyweds with my head. They were still dancing slowly, in their own little world.

"They look ridiculously happy, don't they?" Sam sighed wistfully. "I'm so glad I was a part of them when we were younger."

"Me too." I smiled warmly and ran my hands along her lithe hips and down her legs. "On second thought, maybe we should go home…"

Sam leaned down and whispered in my ear, "I actually booked a hotel for the band tonight so we can go home with no interruptions."

"Hmm," I patted her legs so she'd get up and then stood, kissing her quickly. "Let me tell them we're heading out for the night. Meet you at the car."

"Hurry!" Sam laughed and grabbed her purse, making her way through a small crowd and towards the bar, to tell Cera the hotel details.

"Leaving so soon?" Jaiden asked as I stopped at their table to kiss Lucas on top of her head.

"It's nearly one in the morning." I laughed and ruffled Anton's hair. "I'll see you guys tomorrow for brunch."

"Night Aunt Alex!" Lucas waved at me and turned her attention back to the girl on her left.

Young crushes.

As I approached the couple on the dance floor, I cleared my throat so they knew I was coming up to them. Spencer was the first to look at me with a heartwarming smile. "Are you leaving?"

"Yeah, Sam and I are beat." I lied but she didn't need to know that. "Are you two heading out soon?"

"Yes, I have root beer chilling in a hotel suite up town. I just wanted to make this night here last a little longer." Ashley explained with excitement.

"Did you want me to drop off Lucas at Mom's on my way home?" I asked.

"Nope, her date is taking her home. They'll be leaving just as soon as Aiden and Kyla come back from…I don't know where they took off to." Ashley frowned and Spencer made a face.

"I don't think you want to know." She replied and rolled her eyes.

"Okay, well you'll be at the brunch tomorrow, right?"

"Of course. Mom and Dad wouldn't have it any other way." Spencer laughed. "You and Sammy drive home safe."

"We will." I nodded.

"Did any of you have anything to drink?" Ashley asked, her eyes full of concern.

"I haven't touched a drop of alcohol since the wine at dinner. That was hours ago." I placed a knowing hand on her shoulder and pulled her in for a hug. "Don't worry sis, I'm careful."

As I walked towards the vehicle, I had to count my own blessings. When it came to Ashley and Spencer last year, I was in the doghouse. If they hadn't given me the silent treatment and if Tracey hadn't broken up with me, I never would have found my way back to where I was.

That thought alone was scary because I couldn't imagine my life without the people in it or the wife I had next to me every night.

So thank you Spashley for showing me the way and showing me that love could conquer all, as long as you work at conquering yourself first.

"Wow, you made it!" Momma C hollered from the dining room where a large table was set up with endless amounts of food.

I blushed and put down my purse at the bottom of the landing. "Sorry we're late."

"It's okay, everyone already ate though. We couldn't wait." Alex shrugged with a knowing smirk. "After all, a brunch is a meal between breakfast and lunch, not lunch and dinner."

Spencer growled slightly at her and patted her tummy. "I'm hungry. Food." She grunted and kissed my cheek before grabbing a plate from the table.

"Did you two just get up?" Alex asked, leaning against the stair railing. "It's almost two in the afternoon!"

"I can't help it if we just got to sleep not even six hours ago. You wouldn't know how your sister is but holy fu-" Alex slapped her hand over my mouth before pointing towards the living room.

The kids were watching a movie and of course, Lucas was paying attention to us. She wrinkled her nose at what she had heard and then grinned at me, giving me a thumbs up.

I was slightly mortified.

"You two haven't lost any of that energy since high school, have you?" Baby C almost said it as if she were in awe.

"Not one ounce." I winked and made my way to the heaping pile of food. "This should replenish me for tonight."

"Again?" The raven-haired woman snorted next to me.

"Hey, we're not getting a honeymoon anytime soon with school starting up next week. Let me have my moments while I can." I shoved Alex slightly and she laughed.

After piling up my plate with food, I went into the kitchen where all the grown ups were sitting having coffee. "Good afternoon, Ashley."

"Hi Aunt Greta, Uncle Vic." I smiled and kissed them both on the cheek before taking a seat next to Spencer.

"Glad to see you two are celebrating the way you normally do." Papa C winked at us.

I nearly choked on my food, while Spencer chuckled humorously beside me.

"Where's Kyla and Aiden?" I asked, changing the subject fast.

"Downstairs with Carmen, Sam and Glen. There's a hockey game-" Momma C barely got the sentence out before Spencer was out of her seat and downstairs.

"Some things will never change." Alex mumbled with an eye roll and I grinned, messing her hair up as she squeaked in surprise. "Like I said!" She huffed and grabbed her cup of coffee before following me down to the basement.

With my wife's eyes glued to the TV while a hockey game was playing, I knew some things would never change.

And I was so thankful for that.

"Are you sure you're not leaving anything behind?" I asked the kids as they stood outside on Alex's driveway.

"We're sure!" Dylan stated proudly and Lucas nodded as well, wrapping an arm around her sister's shoulders.

I turned towards the front door where Spencer, Sammy and Alex were coming out of it chatting. "I don't want to put you guys out if you have to be in Vancouver." I heard Spencer say as they approached us.

"What's going on?" I frowned and took Spencer's hand in mine.

"They're saying that they'll take the kids on an early flight tomorrow so we can be alone." Spencer shrugged and ran her fingers through Matthew's dark curls.

"Look, we have a plan okay?" Sammy laughed and held up a pair of keys. "Alex bought herself a really nice 1967 black mustang."

"Holy shit, really?!" I exclaimed and was vaguely aware that three hands stuck out, waiting for their dollar.

"Really." Alex grinned widely and took the keys from Sammy and placed them in Spencer's hands. "I want to take it to Vancouver with me so I was wondering if you two would drive it to Kenora for me? I don't have the time to do this cross-country trip so you'll be doing me a solid driving it half way for me."

"Alex…" Spencer's eyes widened a bit before she clutched the keys to her chest.

"I have to be at the studio in Vancouver as soon as possible and then I have to be in Seattle for some recording of my own by the weekend. Please?" Alex practically begged and I could see Spencer's resolve crumble.

"And don't worry about the kids," Sammy added, "I kind of already asked their permission if I could accompany them by plane tomorrow afternoon. I'll be renting a car from Winnipeg and you'll have your babies at home by the evening. I'll take the mustang from there the following day and you guys can start your family and married life once and for all."

I stood there in awe, staring at the beaming couple.

"So?" Alex raised a perfect eyebrow and placed a hand on her hip.

"Come on, Mom, Momma. Take that sweet car for a spin across Ontario!" Lucas urged us.

Spencer and I shared a look before she threw herself in Alex's arms, squeezing her tight.

It was settled. Spencer and I were making a trip across Ontario and I had to admit that reliving part of our teenage years was definitely intriguing. I had actually tried to get the kids to come share the experience with us but they said there would always be a next time.

We gave the kids a kiss and a hug before we pulled out of the driveway. "Do I get to drive this at all?" I asked Spencer as she turned onto the main road.

"If you're good." She teased and turned the radio up a little. "For now, just sit back and relax baby. I've got this."

I laughed and settled into my seat more comfortably and looked out of my window, watching the scenery pass us by. We were getting further away from the town limits and I noticed on each lamppost, there were grey, black and white streamers hanging from them. "What the?" I whispered as I sat up and leaned forward a little more.

Spencer slowed down, just as confused as I was before we came to a complete stop just at the exit sign of Midtown. She looked at me with raised eyebrows before she burst into happy laughter and I shook my head in awe at the sign in front of us. Part of it was covered over with laminated lettering in black and grey.

You are now leaving Midtown, Hope You've Enjoyed Your Wedding Day!

Spencer giggled some more and drove past the sign and placed her hand on my knee as we sat back in the silence of our love.

Fin.

Special thank you to my amazing wife, bleed4her. You'll never know just how much you've helped me out with Wash It All Away and Points Underneath. Putting up with my constant changes and lack of writing even though I had it all figured out in my head. You're the best. I love you.

Also, I do have plans for a third part. Spashley won't be the focus but they will play keys parts in their teenage/adult children's lives. If you're interested, let me know! I may have to find a different spot to place it so any suggestions would be appreciated!
