Chapter Five: You Don't Wanna Know….
Lindsay was so excited. Today was CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS! She was gonna be helping out Vice Principal O'Hallaran pick 3 new cheerleaders! The only freshman who had been on the team at that point was Amy, and she was kicked off after one day due to unsportsmanship-like behavior.
"Miss Lindsay! Ecstatic to have you here for the tryouts! We have 5 girls trying out. Julia, Nichelle, Sammy, Emma, and Sky!" Ms.O'Hallaran said, who preferred to be called Blaineley.
Lindsay squealed, "Thanks Ms. Blaineley again! Are they coming now?"
All at once, the five entered the gymnasium. Nichelle stretching, Sammy uncomfortable, like she didn't wanna be here, Julia taking a selfie, Emma bouncing as she walked, and Sky with a smug look on her face.
"Ladies, ladies, Hi! Please stand on the black line," Ms. Blaineley said, pointing to the black line dividing the room.
Lindsay said, "There are three..uh..key..factors in cheerleading. One, posture." She interrupted herself, asking, "What's posture again? Anyways, Two, Style. And Three, expression!"
"WAIT!" Someone called out, making everyone look in their direction.
Ms. Blaineley looked shocked. "Scarlett? What are you doing here?"
Scarlett said, in a snobby tone, "I wanna be a cheerleader."
Lindsay looked confused, but smiled and pointed to the line.
Ms. Blaineley continued, "Anyways, we will do competitions based on each key factor, and each challenge, someone will be eliminated, leaving three cheerleaders to join the sophomores!"
Emma squealed, Nichelle smirked at herself, and Sammy sighed.
"First up, Posture!" Ms. Blaineley announced. "Lindsay, go get the balance beam."
Lindsay ran to get the balance beam from the storage unit, and grunted and groaned as she pulled it out.
Ms. Blaineley smiled at Lindsay, then pointed to the cheerleaders-in-training. "First to fall off the beam, will lose. NOW GET ON!"
Lindsay watched as the five struggled to stay on, while Scarlett seemed to have a….strategy in mind. Such a strategy that she did not wobble or move like the others did. As Scarlett continued to stay on the beam, Julia was trying to take a photo of herself on the beam, but she fell off just as she took the picture. blew the whistle, and Julia sadly walked off.
Lindsay squeaked,. "MY TURN! CHALLENGE TWO: Style. I wanna see you guys walk around the gym in the best way your little butts can!"
Everyone started to walk in nice fashion, even Scarlett had something going. except for Sky, who was walking like she was determined, instead of being stylish.
"Sky, I'm sorry, but you're just not a cheerleader," Lindsay sighed, making Sky stomp off.
"Finally…..EXPRESSION! Show me your most dramatic faces!" Ms. Blaineley ordered.
Nichelle did amazing faces, while Sammy, Scarlett, and Emma struggled to keep up.
"I just can't decide!" said Lindsay. She looked around, and saw that Nichelle and even Emma were way above the other two. She made a mental note to herself: Nichelle and Emma stay. She continued to look over Sammy and Scarlett, who were neck and neck.
"Can we accept both?" asked Lindsay.
Ms. Blaineley sighed, and nodded. The four squeezed each other and ran out of the room to tell their friends.
Lindsay smiled, seeing that the cheerleading generation had a good continuation.

Bridgette and Geoff were talking during free period. Bridgette was telling him about vancouver, and Geoff was actually enjoying himself.
"It must be so cool there, brah!" Geoff exclaimed.
Bridgette smiled. "Yeah..got any luck on finding a real girlfriend?"
Geoff sighed. "No. But I did hear that there's gonna be a new student coming into our classes in a couple of weeks! And she's RICH!"
"Yeah, but we can still be friends after we..you know…right?" asked Bridgette.
Geoff assured, "Of course we will!"
Bridgette grinned. Something had been up lately..whether it had been spending the party with Geoff, or just hanging out with him, it was like she was developing a real crush on him. No, she said to herself. I will find a REAL boyfriend, and Geoff will find a REAL girlfriend. This is just platonic fake\dating. Just platonic…
"Hey look, over there is the crew!" exclaimed Geoff, taking Bridgette's hand and pulling her to his side.
"Hey Geoff!" Brody said, with all the others waving too.
Geoff said, "Hey dudes! Me and Bridge have just been talking about the sick surfing in British Columbia, brahs!"
Bridgette realized that Wayne and Raj weren't with the group. "Where's the owl duo?" she asked. All of a sudden, Wayne came running with a poster.
"GUYS!" Wayne exclaimed.
Tyler asked, "WHAT DUDE WHAT?"
"The football coach said that IF WE WIN THE PROVINCE CHAMPIONSHIPS WE GET TO GO TO FRICKIN NIAGARA FALLS!"
"REALLY?" asked Lightning. "We gotta sha-WIN!"
"YEAH!" All the boys said in unison. Bridgette just stood there, listening.
Bridgette said, "I'm gonna go now, see you later Geoff!" she ran off.

Ella was talking with Sammy. "Shocking, how Topher actually BELIEVED you were Amy!" She exclaimed.
Sammy awed, "I know! And Topher is kinda cute, so that's a bonus? Do YOU have a crush?"
"No, I don't think so," said Ella.
Sammy frowned. "Girl, I'm getting you a boyfriend!" She said. She yanked on Ella's arm, and ran across the halls. Ella tagged behind, confused.
"How about Caleb?" Sammy suggested, pointing at a REALLY BUFF boy.
Ella said, "Nah, not my type." She continued to follow Sammy as she continued to monitor the halls.
Sammy asked, "Alejandro?" as she pointed at a mexican boy who was making every girl around him drool.
"Whoa…NO NOT MY TYPE!" Ella wiped up the slight drool from her stare at Alejandro.
"UGH! YOU'RE SO HARD!" groaned Sammy. She continued to look around, in search of someone who Ella would be perfect with.
"Justin?" Sammy said, crossing her fingers. Ella looked at Justin, before gagging.
Sammy sighed. "Okay, fine. No boyfriend for you," she said.
Ella smiled at Sammy, and the two continued their riveting conversation.

Beth couldn't ask Anne Maria to dye her ends purple. She had to do it herself. And the only person she knew with purple dye….
"Hey Lauren," Beth said, walking up to Lauren.
Lauren smiled creepily. "Yes?" she said in a scary tone.
"Can I borrow your purple hair-dye?" Beth asked, fearful.
Lauren asked, "Did you think my hair was DYED? Any thoughts that maybe it was an… INCANTATION?"
Beth screamed as high as she could (which wasn't very high), but Lauren laughed.
"Come to my house, for I will save you from your misery. 989 Talliker Road. be there," Lauren said, cackling yet again.

Zoey wasn't looking for members of the Flowerhearts, oh no. She was cleaning out her locker, since it was ALREADY a mess. As she pulled out her backpack, a white paper fell onto the floor.
"HUH?" asked Zoey, picking it up instantly. It read;
Hey.
I know you don't know who I am.
But I can't stop looking at your fantastical eyes, and your elegant, soft, hair.
You are my everything.
I am your everything.
"Another one? Damn, I need to figure out who keeps sending me these GOSH DANG LETTERS!" She put the note in her pocket, and looked around.
"Who admires me at this school?" she pondered.
Zoey looked around for a couple more moments, before she sighed. "This case is getting absolutely nowhere."

"Thanks again for yesterday," Chase said to Emma, seeing her in the hallways again.
Emma grinned. "No problem. And hey, I made the cheer team!"
"Really?" Chase asked.
"Really," Emma assured.
"I have a cool thing I wanna tell you," Said Chase.
"Yeah?" asked Emma.
Chase thought to himself, do I really want Emma knowing this? No, I don't.
"I heard that the waterfall coming from your apartment made the news!" Chase exclaimed.
Emma gasped in shock. "REALLY?" she had ALWAYS wanted to be a star. Always.
"Yeah! Now let's go and find somewhere cool to film a video!" Chase said, leading Emma by the hand.

Scott was- yet again- pulling a prank. Except this time, it wasn't on Courtney. It was on Dakota again. He grabbed his handy-dandy Barbie hair-comb, life sized. Scott knew that barbie combs messed up hair, so he also knew he would get a laugh for himself. He snuck into the right distance away from Dakota, then aimed at the tip of her hair. He threw the comb, but Dakota caught it at the right time.
"Try that again. Oh wait, you wont," laughed Dakota.
Scott asked, "Why do you say that?"
"Because YOU'LL BE IN THE ER!" Dakota launched the comb at lightning speed, right at Scott's face.
"No no no no NO!" Scott screamed and shut his eyes as there was, no impact? He opened his eyes to see Dawn, holding the comb with her hand. She looked over at Scott.
"You weren't held enough as a child," Dawn said, walking off, leaving just Dakota and Scott.
"Well well well, I guess you won this time, Scaredy Cat," Dakota said, walking away.
Scott was still speechless. What would have happened if he had…been hit?

Topher was sitting alone on the steps of the stairs. He was lonely without Amy, and lonely in general.
"Something wrong?" asked Rodney, as he sat down next to Topher.
Topher sighed. "I just dont get it. Today I said hi to Sammy, but she screamed at me saying she was Amy. AND THEN, she rolled her eyes!"
"That's just plain weird. But if you want another girlfriend, I've got a stepsister who would be PERFECTO for you," Rodney said.
"Nah, no thanks," Topher said.
Rodney asked, "If you're so sad, why don't you go and deal with it? Take a hold on your own emotions. Show yourself who's the boss around here, make yourself happy, THEN MAKE OUT WITH AMY!"
Topher thought this was a great idea! "Thanks Rod!" He said, running off to find Amy. he found her standing next to Ella, talking about possible relationship possibilities.
"Topher?" asked Amy, but Topher was already kissing her. Amy stood there in shock.
Topher winked at the two than walked away, content with himself.

Raj was peeking inside the basketball court. After the cheerleading tryouts ended, the basketball team went in to practice. Raj in particular, was staring at Bowie. He was doing pass practices with Caleb, and Raj couldn't look away.
"What's the interest, Rajie?" Wayne asked, then looked inside. "Ohhhh, I get it now!"
Raj asked, "Have you gotten any more news on the Niagara Falls trip Wayner?"
Wayne sighed. "Not yet. I've been too busy with-" he started bursting into laughter.
"What?" Raj said.
"Nothing, nothing!" Wayne joked around.
Raj looked Wayne in the eye and said, "Seriously. What is it."
Wayne suddenly continued laughing. "It was-when-I mean-" The basketball doors suddenly flew wide open, pushing Raj to the ground. Bowie had opened the door, and was looking at the two.
"Alright, what are you two doing staring at us?" he asked. He then looked at Raj sitting on the ground. "Oops, I pushed too hard." He helped Raj up, and Raj was far beyond words.
"I'm gonna go…." Wayne said, leaving Raj and Bowie alone.
Bowie said, "I know, I'm amazing to look at, but sometimes I work better without the fan-base."
Raj ran off, still confused on whatever that was.
