Hello, my lovely reader. Welcome back and enjoy the chapter!
Chapter 10: How to Make a Movie
"I refuse to be part of this bloody farce," Klaus growled as Rebekah sped past him with a rack of clothing.
"Stop your whining, Nik," Rebekah snapped. "Even Kol has become more tolerable than you are right now."
Klaus ignored her as he began to text Katherine. Again. "I will kill someone you care about," he texted her.
"Good luck finding anyone like that," Katherine texted back staring at Caroline in her little cage as the others continued to bicker.
They all looked up when Sage and Finn came walking down the stairs into the Lockwood cellar. "What the hell?" Tyler glared at the two newcomers. "How did you find us?"
Finn shrugged, "I learned how to trace the signal of Caroline's phone. I love technology. Now, if you don't mind. Please, hand the girl over. Niklaus is in a horrible mood and is disrupting our ability to begin the movie."
"The hell we will," Tyler told them standing in front of the cage. Caroline grabbed his shirt.
"Tyler, please, let me go," Caroline begged.
Tyler's shoulders slumped, "Care, you're compelled. You don't love Klaus. WE have to stop this. Now, before things go too far."
"Oh, she's already slept with him. If that's what you mean," Kol announced as he entered the area. "She was not compelled to do that. Actually, she hasn't been compelled since I met her."
"What?" Elena asked, staring at him like he was insane which he was.
"Well, my doe eyed youth," Kol grinned at Elena with malice. "I like to compel women for all sorts of entertainment. When I noticed that our little Caroline was compelled, I decided to remedy that in the hopes that she would lose her devotion to my big brother. Unfortunately, she seems to have real feelings for him. Sad, really. We would have had such fun." Looking at Caroline, Kol raised his eyebrows, "Do we fight now? Please, say we do?"
"Kol, that will be enough," Elijah warned, appearing in the entrance. "These people have been invited to be part of Father's project. We must not hurt them." Walking over to the cage that held Caroline, he faced Tyler, who stared up at him.
Turning to look at Caroline, Tyler looked defeated. "I love you, Care."
"I love you, too, Ty. Just not like that anymore. I'm sorry," Caroline whispered before Elijah yanked the cage door open.
Stepping out of the cage, Caroline took Kol's arm and was escorted out of the cellar. Katherine simmered, watching the two leave as Elijah walked over to her. "I do not believe that blackmailing Niklaus will get you far, Katerina."
Katherine shrugged, "Oh, well. Don't you have a movie to make or something?"
Elijah smiled at her, "Would you like to come with me?"
"Why would I want to do that?" Katherine asked while she stared at the ground.
"I might need an assistant," Elijah informed her.
Stefan looked at Elena, "Are you ready for this?"
"Sure," Elena replied, rolling her eyes. "Tyler, are you coming?"
Tyler shook his head. "I think I'm going to take off for awhile. Maybe go see the Alps or something."
"Okay. Be safe," Elena told him before giving him a hug and then walking out with Stefan behind her.
Klaus was still texting like crazy when Caroline walked into the room. "Damn you, Katherine, answer the damn message." he snarled just as Caroline came running into his arms. He could only stand there in shock. "Caroline?"
"Yeah, I'm here." Caroline told him, placing her hands on either side of his face.
Klaus began to kiss her fervently, "I'm sorry, Caroline. I'm sorry for being an ass. I will make it up to you. I will find a way to put an end to the compulsion. I promise."
"No need, brother," Kol called while he walked over to them. "I had it taken care of for you."
Klaus scrunched his face up in confusion. "Excuse me? You did what?"
Kol shrugged, "I know a witch who owed me a favor. Besides for some reason this girl really does seem to like you. For what reason none of us know but she does care. I have a witch to terrorize… Bonnie, darling… can you fetch me a cup of coffee."
"Fetch it yourself," Bonnie snapped, walking away from him.
"Ouch," Jeremy began to laugh. "Man, you have to try a little harder than that. Try a little respect."
Kol stared at Jeremy, "And who are you? Why do you believe you have the answers?"
Jeremy rolled his eyes. "Maybe because that is my ex-girlfriend."
Kol raised his eyebrows. "Color me impressed. Let's chat," He pulled Jeremy away from the group just as Mikael came storming in.
"This is a disaster. A complete disaster," He roared causing everyone to jump.
"What's wrong, Father?" Rebekah snapped. "Did the tests come back inconclusive?"
Mikael shook his head, "No, Bekah. The tests are not back yet. WE have no script. "Which one of you fools thinks you can write?" He looked around and snapped out. "Kol, put your bloody hand down. Niklaus, I suppose you will have to be the leading man and the writer."
"Father, Stefan and Elena are the writers in our group," Klaus told him, nodding at the two.
Mikael stared at them, "Well, what are you gawking at? Start writing. Now!" The two writers stared at each other.
"We don't have paper?" Stefan told Mikael.
"Or a laptop," Elena told him.
"I don't care if you write using your own blood. Do it yesterday!" Mikael shouted at them causing them to run into each other trying to find what they needed.
Damon began to laugh, "Is something funny to you, Mr. Salvatore?" Mikael bellowed at Damon, who shrugged.
"You're insane. So, yeah. It's a little funny." Damon told him, holding up his fingers to indicate his meaning.
"Lunch," Mikael snarled. Then grabbed Damon by the shirt collar and drained him of blood. Everyone began to leave when Mikael yelled at them. "Where are all of you going?"
"You said 'lunch,' Father," Finn told him giving his father a dubious look.
"Yes, I did and then I had some, on the bloody set, mind you. You will stay here until I say you can leave," Mikael informed the group, glaring at them.
Kol nodded, "I'll call for takeout. Let's see. That means I need to call…" He began to count heads. "One, two, three, four, five places. That should be enough delivery workers for me, Nik, Bekah, Sage, Katherine and Lijah. Sorry, Stefan and Finn, you'll have to call for bunnies to be delivered. And Damon can deal since he's a bit out of it."
Bonnie stared at Kol in disgust, "Are you serious?"
"As the day is long. Although I truly try not to be. Would you like to see serious or not serious me? Do you prefer comedy or tragedy? I can do both or neither. I can sweep you off your feet with an epic romance." He lifted her in the air. "Or suck you dry. The choice is yours."
Glaring at Kol, Bonnie pushed at him but he wouldn't let go, "I will make your head explode." She snapped causing him to set her down.
"You wound me when I only wish to worship you," Kol called to her as she ran from him past Elena and Stefan, who were now sitting on the floor.
Klaus and Caroline came to join them in their efforts to forge out a script. Damon crawled over to Klaus and placed a hand on the hybrid's arm. who had taken the laptop which mysteriously appeared from Stefan and began to type at lightning speed. "Bite me," Damon begged Klaus, who looked at him curiously. "Just put me out of my misery now."
"Damon, stop lying around on the job," Rebekah snapped, jerking him to his feet and dragging toward wardrobe.
"Please!" Damon screamed at Klaus.
"Sorry, I'm a bit busy at the moment," Klaus retorted while he typed.
"What are you writing?" Elena asked, trying to edge over to take a look.
Caroline was faster as she tried to take in the words. But Klaus was too fast for her. "It's a love story," Stefan told them.
Caroline's eyebrows lifted, "By the Big Bad Hybrid?"
"How do you know?" Elena asked Stefan, who smiled.
"Because he's in love," Stefan replied with a slight shrug.
Klaus did not reply but simply continued to work. "It's probably about a guy who thought he had no emotions. Who didn't care about anyone or anything. Then he meets the one woman who changes it all for him." Stefan told them watching Klaus' eyes gleam. "And he has a really boring best friend who he knew when they were younger but they grew estranged. Now, he wants to make up for lost time. Oh, and his father just came back to town. Everything this man thought to be true just blew up in his face. So, this is the story about how he's going to figure it all out."
"Ah, stop poking me with that damn needle." Damon screamed at Rebekah from the other side of the room.
"Stop moving," Rebekah snapped at him.
"Stopping poking me," Damon complained.
"That's the girl's line," Kol called as he walked over to the group. He looked defeated.
"Bonnie got away, didn't she?" Caroline asked with a wide grin.
"Not only that she paid for the takeout and then sent the food away," He held up bags of food.
"Hey, guys, did someone call for food?" Matt asked with a wide grin.
Kol spun around on his heel, "Excellent." Elena and Caroline screamed as Kol attempted to bite Matt. He found empty air.
"Brother," Elijah warned, looking down at Kol, who began to pout.
"I'm hungry," Kol yelled, kicking Elijah in the shin.
Elijah's face darkened. "Sister, Kol just offered to be fitted for his wardrobe," He called to Rebekah.
"I hate you," Kol snapped as Rebekah appeared with needles stuffed in her mouth and belt.
Shaking her head, the Original sister placed her hands on her hips. "Come on. I do not have all day."
Damon ran out of the dressing area, skidded and fell in front of Klaus. "Bite me," he groaned. "Stake me. Just, please, make it stop."
Bonnie came over and pulled out a container. Taking something out, she laid it on Damon's chest. The older Salvatore looked at it and then shook his head. "Ha ha, Judgy." He picked up the steak and held it toward Stefan. "This is for you. It smells bloody. But I am not that hungry. Lena, care to donate to the cause." He gave her puppy dog eyes.
Elena stared at him like he was crazy. "No!"
Damon slumped onto his back and stared at the ceiling. "Where's the bloody script?" Mikael yelled.
"It's coming, Father," Klaus yelled back as he continued to type furiously.
"Slacker," Caroline whispered into Klaus' ear.
"Do not distract me, love. I'm almost done," Klaus whispered back.
Caroline rolled her eyes and stuck her tongue out at Stefan who seemed to find the whole thing quite amusing. "Ow, strumpet." Kol protested as Rebekah apparently stuck him with another pin. "That hurt."
"It was supposed to," Rebekah snapped back at him.
"I hate this movie already," Kol yelled from wardrobe. "Why don't you torture one of the ladies? Caroline, it's your turn."
Caroline got to her feet and came walking over to the area where Kol was screaming like a girl. "Oh, what are you wearing?" She looked at what looked like tights and a doublet. "Klaus, is this a period piece?"
Klaus yelled back. "No!"
Caroline giggled at Kol's look of horror. "Is this part of the modern era, brother?"
"Yes!" Klaus yelled.
"Wanker!" Rebekah yelled, looking at the clothes she had just created.
"We could include some scenes that we needed those clothes," Caroline told her.
"Or make them into Halloween costumes," Damon replied as he stumbled into the room and fell down. Grabbing one of the needles, he stabbed Rebekah in the hand and licked the blood off. "Sorry, Sexy Bexs, but I needed a pick me up after your Daddy drained me."
Rebekah stared down at Damon before biting into her wrist and holding it out. "Here, if it will stop you from whining."
Caroline's eyes widened at the sight and she hurried away. She was a little worried about what would come next. "Done," Klaus told them triumphantly. "We have a script."
"Great!" Everyone else groaned staring at him.
Mikael took the computer and looked up. "Does anyone know if you can make comments on this thing?"
Bonnie showed him and Mikael began to make comments. Lots and lots of comments. Klaus' shoulders slumped when his father handed it back to him. "Good first effort. Take a break and begin again."
Watching his father walk away, Klaus turned back to the computer screen, dejected. Damon came over to look at the screen while wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. "Huh, B-/C+. See, and I always thought you were an overachiever." Klaus turned around and bit Damon.
"Now he listens to me," Damon moaned, walking away and then slumping to the floor.
