Hello, my lovely readers. It's been one hell of a ride, but all good things must come to an end. I do hope that you enjoyed the story! On with the show…

Epilogue: One More Mikaelson for the Road

The door remaining shut would suit Klaus Mikaelson. If the door would forever remain shut—that would be remarkably better. He, Caroline and his entire family could stay inside their state of… of…Mikaelson-ness. Yes. Nothing would make Klaus Mikaelson happier— than entering the home—behind the door which would only lead to yet more chaos.

"Come on, Klaus!" Caroline cried, pulling at his arm, dragging him along behind her like some demented pet. Contrary to Kol's comments of late—Klaus was not Caroline's pet.

"Good boy! Perhaps she'll give you a treat; if you'll wag your tail for her!" Kol called, somewhere behind them.

"Kol! Stop taunting your brother!" Esther cried.

"Yes, Kol, do stop," Elijah added, his arm curled around a glowing Katherine Pierce.

"No, Kol. Keep going. This is the most excitement I've seen since Mikael ate the pilot on the way home," Katherine urged with a low chuckle.

Klaus pinned the doppleganger with a lethal look. If Elijah were not happy, Klaus would rip her arms off and beat her with them. Of course, knowing how much displeasure the doppleganger would cause those who were within the home—upon their entrance—gave Klaus a pang of pleasure.

"What are you so chipper about, mister?" Caroline inquired, a smile on her face that made his heart pound.

Klaus lifted her hand and pressed a light kiss to the back of it. "The pleasure of your company, love." Smirking, he stared into her eyes, seeing her blush.

"They're here!" a voice from within the dwelling cried out, with a squeal, followed by tense laughter.

"Shall we?" Klaus inquired, moving to stand in front of the front door.

"Get on with it!" Rebekah growled as Stefan wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her temple. His sister offered Stefan an affectionate look before offering Klaus a look of annoyance.

Knocking on the door, Klaus' smirk widened when the door opened and Damon Salvatore leaned against it with an answering smirk. "Look who dragged their sorry behinds back home."

"BONNIE!" Caroline shrieked, knocking Damon onto his ass on her way into the house.

"CAROLINE!" Bonnie Bennett and Elena Gilbert's familiar and never-endearing screams replied. "You're home!" Bonnie cried.

"Witch!" Kol knocked Klaus over, speeding into the house, in search of the witch. "Agh!" His little's brother's bellow of pain answered Klaus' question as to whether or not Kol found Bonnie.

"Drinks?" Damon said, standing up and waving for the rest of the family to join them.

"Alcohol—the only way to deal with being back in this hideous little town," Finn moaned. "Sage, I don't think I can get WiFi in this house!" His older brother held up his phone, waving it around.

"Finn, help me with the stroller!" Sage shouted.

Katherine snorted. "You wouldn't need help; if you didn't adopt those triplets."

Sage offered Katherine a long look. "Ever since Finn found out he could take classes on-line; he never leaves the internet. It's all Philosophy of some old, dead guy this, Art History that, How to be the Best You—which is a real rip-off—"

"What does that have to do with babies?" Katherine snapped, examining her nails.

"Finn only stops studying in order to feed, burp, or change the babies," Sage said, attempting to force the stroller in side-ways.

Klaus watched Sage's struggles wondering when she would gain control of the infernal contraption and allow the rest of them inside the house.

"Would you move that blasted thing?" Mikael demanded while Sage pulled out a triplet. He let out a growl when she thrust the squalling, red-faced babe into Mikael's arm.

"What am I to do with this?" Mikael demanded, staring into the eyes of the blubbering child.

"Bounce him, for God's sake, Mikael," Esther groaned, taking another baby. She shook her head at her husband. It was as if he'd forgotten how to calm a baby. It had only been over a thousand years ago. "It's just like riding a bike." She called over her shoulder as she watched Sage fold the stroller and then throw it inside the house.

"Hey! You just broke my third favorite lamp!" Stefan complained, glancing at Rebekah for help.

"Here. Have a baby," Sage said, offering him a baby.

"I'll take that!" Rebekah said, taking the baby and grinning. "There is some kind of orphanage around here, yes? I need to place an order."

"Bekah, you don't order up kids," Caroline called as they walked into the house.

"Why not?" Rebekah shot a long look at Sage. "If she can raise some—I should be allowed to have twenty."

"Hey!" Sage snapped.

"What?" Finn said, holding up his phone and staring at its lack of bars. "Why? I have an exam to take today on the Socratic Method."

"Agh. My head!" Kol screamed when Bonnie began to glare at him from the couch. "I didn't even touch you!"

"You thought it!" Bonnie snapped.

"How was college?" Caroline inquired, taking a seat on the couch.

"Boring," Damon answered.

"You weren't even taking classes," Bonnie retorted.

"Taking—and sitting around and watching—are pretty much the same thing," Damon told her.

Elena gave Damon a long look before turning to the Mikaelsons. "Why are you back? Not that I'm not happy that you brought my brother back… Where is Jeremy anyway?" She glanced around, her brows furrowing.

"I'm back!" Jeremy called, entering the house in a pair of black leather pants and jacket. He grinned, revealing his sharp teeth. "Miss me, sis?"

"What are you wearing?" Bonnie demanded, placing her hands on her hips. "Because if you think that I am going to change my look to become Miss-Princess-of-Pain, you are kidding yourself."

"You don't have to change anything to be the Princess-of-Pain." Damon offered her a grin and Bonnie sent him to his knees with a look.

Kol jumped in. "He fell in with some vamps in Transylvania and I have yet to convince him to stop sleeping in a coffin. Thought you might be able to help with that, witch," he told Bonnie who rolled her eyes.

"Right. Anyway," Bonnie turned to Caroline. "What are you planning on doing now that you skipped college?"

"I'm going to star in the sequel to the Buffy re-make," Caroline said with a huge smile. "I've actually been contacted by the head of every studio in the world, but I signed a contract with Mikael, so that I can only work for him for the rest of my undead life."

"And how is it that you weren't sued for making that film?" Damon asked Mikael.

Mikael took a seat and threw the triplet he had been holding into Klaus' arms, who shuddered as the child stared up at him in awe. "Simple. I compelled Joss Whedon, and Fox, to give up all of their rights to the show. I am working on the rights to a show called The Simpsons, which seems to be a hit with humans, and those with Kol's personality and overall lack of maturity."

"Bart and I have a kinship that no one can understand," Kol told everyone.

Klaus groaned, his eyes rolling toward the ceiling, where he spotted Jeremy, making his way above Mikael's head and then dropping down on the Original vampire.

Mikael tossed the baby vampire into his all-to-human sister. "Ouch!" Elena cried when the weight of Jeremy's flying form knocked her over.

"Ha!" Katherine began to laugh. Elijah gave Katherine a look and she shrugged. "Where is the vodka?" the doppleganger-on-her-feet called to Damon.

"Up your—" Damon began when Mikael interrupted him.

"I told you to stop doing that or I will dispatch you!" Mikael roared at Jeremy, moving toward the baby vamp.

"Father, he's my mate. More like brother," Kol cried, moving between Mikael and Jeremy. "We have a love that no one can understand."

"That's not true," Finn said. "According to my findings on the internet—quite a few people understand your love."

"What?" Jeremy said, standing up and looking confused which was nothing unusual.

"You have quite the fan-base," Finn continued. "If only I could get WiFi in here."

"Have a baby," Sage said, offering Finn one of their children.

"I want WiFi," Finn said, sitting down on the floor and glaring at his phone when the doorbell rang.

"Are we expecting more people?" Klaus questioned Damon who shrugged.

"Just Liz," Damon told him.

"How is the elder Ms. Forbes?" Mikael inquired.

"Not that, again," Esther groaned.

"I'll get it," Caroline called as everyone began to argue about who should be with whom.

When she reached the door, Caroline felt confused when she came face-to-face with an unfamiliar blonde woman who offered her a smile. "Hello," Caroline said. "I'm sorry, but we're not looking for new friends. Try the Donavon's. Matt's always available." She started to close the door in the blonde's face, when the woman pushed back, without lifting a hand.

"I'm looking for my family. I heard that they might be here," the mystery woman said.

"Oh…" Caroline felt confused when she felt Klaus' arm curl around her waist.

"What is it, love?" Klaus inquired, his eyes moving to the new woman. "Who the bloody hell are you?"

"Niklaus," the woman breathed before she launched herself at Klaus. "I've been watching you for a thousand years," she said, clinging to Klaus who kept trying to tug her fingers out of his hair.

"Get off of my husband!" Caroline yelled at the woman, attempting to free Klaus from the mad woman's embrace, but she seemed to be glued to Klaus.

"What is going on out here!" Finn called, entering the foyer, and then he dropped his phone, falling to his knees, tears welling in his eyes. "Freya!" he cried.

"You know me, Finn?" Freya said, a hand going to her mouth. She'd let go of Klaus, who fell into a wall, looking shocked which took a lot. Caroline had tried everything she could think of to shock him—including waking him out a sound slumber with a taser gun—that only made him cranky.

"Of course, Freya. When I learned of the magic of the internet I created a composite of what you would look like a thousand years from the time I saw you. You have not changed at all."

"Finn, I was five," Freya told him.

"What is the meaning of this?" Esther demanded, startling the others.

"Mother," Freya said, a grimace on her face.

"Freya?" Esther looked shocked and worried when Mikael joined them.

"Who are you?" Mikael demanded of Freya.

"Father, you do not know me?" Freya cried, reaching out a trembling hand to him.

"No. I do not," Mikael said.

"It's Freya, Father," Finn said.

"Oh, great, another one," Damon groaned, shaking his head as he came in with the rest of the group.

"I know what will cheer you up!" Kol cried and began taking off his clothes. Jeremy joined him. Elena let out a moan and covered her eyes.

"Clothing!" Freya cried and Kol became clothed and frowned. He started trying to strip, but found more and more clothes on as he peeled back layer after layer.

"Looks like it's time for anther DNA test," Bonnie mused.

"Not again," Klaus grumbled, sitting down and shaking his head. "I don't want another sibling."

"I am the baby of the family and the only girl. What will happen if there is another?" Rebekah cried.

"I am leaving," Mikael said. "This is really too much and the new film is due to shoot in two days."

"What if Buffy had a sister," Esther called after Mikael.

"NO!" Mikael shouted back as they moved down the front walk.

Freya looked at the others. "I am so happy to have found you."

Elijah folded his arms over his chest. "We will be the judge of that."

"I love it when he judges other people," Katherine said, giving him a fond look.

"I'll contact the DNA lab," Caroline told them. "Just give me some hair, Freya."

"Why?" Freya said when Caroline yanked out a chunk.

"Was that necessary?" Freya demanded, holding her head.

"Very," Klaus added.

"I think that I should be the sister," Katherine said.

"You died in the last movie," Caroline corrected her.

"So you want her to play your sister!" Katherine pointed at Freya.

"I'm way prettier than she is!" Caroline countered.

"Mikaelson women are known for their looks," Rebekah added.

"Have you seen Aunt Dahlia?" Freya inquired, shuddering.

"Who?" Finn asked. "Oh, wait… Never mind."

"Do we really have to make another movie?" Kol cried, trying to pull off a parka.

"Yes!" Caroline called over her shoulder. "It'll be fun. Come on." She left the house.

"I have never been to a movie," Freya told them.

"HA! Internet," Finn said. "See, here is a film."

"Is that Niklaus, and the chatty blonde girl?" Freya inquired.

"Not again! Kol!" Klaus shouted after Kol who ran ahead of them.

"You'll never catch me!" Kol taunted when Klaus threw the Salvatore's mailbox at him.

"I am so happy to be back," Freya told them.

"Until the DNA test comes back—you are not part of the family!" Klaus growled at the newcomer.

"Klaus has issues," Caroline informed Freya. Klaus gave his wife a look, which she ignored. "Would you like to see some wedding pics?" Caroline continued.

Klaus watched his family with a sense of pride. He had no idea how their lives would turn out, but he knew, in that exact moment, that there was not a single thing he could wish for.

A jacket slapped Klaus in the face and he found that Freya's spell must be wearing off because Kol was undoing his belt. Perhaps there was something he could wish for as his brother freed himself of his clothes and ran down the middle of the street to the amusement of passers-by.
