AN: Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that this is a pretty emotional chapter before you started reading.

"Daddy?"

Ignoring the sudden crash of the bowl she had previously been holding and feeling her fingers become numb, she continued to stare in shock as tears welled up in her brown eyes.

"No…no no no no no-DAD! DAD WAKE UP!" Franticly grabbing him by the shoulders she started shaking him before kneeling down in front of him. "DAD WAKE UP! PLEASE!

Not getting any responds she felt her breathing pick up as panic overtook every part of her. "PLEASE! IT'S ME! PLEASE WAKE UP! THIS ISN'T FUNNY!"

Feeling every part of her body shaking she continued to stare at his lifeless eyes staring back at her as she grabbed his face lightly tapping his cheek and hoping he'd wake up. "NO! DAD! COME ON WAKE UP! It's me…" her voice cracked as the tears started pulling out of her eyes. "Your little Ochaco…your little princess…please just-"

Opening her mouth as she lifted her shaking hand in front of her face her eyes grew at the sight of blood on her hand. "No…"

Swallowing the sudden nauseating feeling, she hesitantly let her eyes look over him again, beaten and bruised with his clothes already showing dried blood from stab wounds. How could she not have noticed before?

"Dad…?" unable to take her eyes off she felt a few more tears slide down her pink cheeks. "No…this can't…" Shaking her head and forcing that feeling away she tried pulling herself up clutching onto his hand tightly.

Feeling the overwhelming pain of his cold hands against hers she looked back up at him with pleading eyes. "Please-" feeling her throat tightening she looked away taking deep breaths and catching something from the corner of her eye.

Pulling herself to stand on shaky legs she slightly wobbled gripping onto his desk to steady herself.

Gulping down hard she reached over with shaky hands picking up a small white envelope resting on his desk with some dried blood.

As her eyes got blurry, she slowly tried to open it, but her hands refused to listen to her watching as it landed on the floor.

Feeling the room spinning she slowly blinked a few times before kneeling down in front of it and just staring at the white squared envelope.

She knew she had to do something. But at that moment nothing was registering, and it felt like all her training was for nothing. Everything just felt so far away…nothing mattered anymore as the room continued to spin.

After a minute she slowly looked back up at her dad's lifeless body before a sudden thought hit her. "K…Kiri…shima…where…?" she croaked out letting her gaze drift over the cold and quiet office, halting when her eyes locked onto a pair of brown boots peeking out from the closet.

"No!" Forcing herself to crawl over, she quickly opened the closet door as Kirishima's limp bloodied body collapsed on top of hers before rolling off. "Kirishima!"

Blinking rapidly, she tried her hardest to make her hands move as the panic took over again and franticly trying to remember anything she could from her training. "I-I don't…."

Closing her eyes to control her breathing. 'I can do this. I have to.' Glancing back over at the red head she quickly looked him over and with shaky hands checked his pulse. 'Weak'

Seeing various cuts and bruises her eyes landed on an obvious stab wound as she quickly took off her jacket, placing it behind his head desperately looking around for something to help stop the bleeding.

Trying her best to get on her feet she stumbled over to the small bathroom rinsing off her hands and grabbing a clean towel while rushing back over, placing it on the main wound applying pressure.

"Kirishima I p-promise…I'll-" Feeling herself shaking again she closed her eyes trying to calm her rapid breathing once more knowing she had to keep going.

Hearing something vibrate in the eerie quiet room, her eyes shot open realizing it came from her jacket. Carefully reaching into her pocket, making sure she wasn't moving the red head, she pulled out her phone dropping it as it continued vibrating before stopping.

Staring at it for a minute she saw it vibrate once more before she slowly lifted it up to her ear.

"Oi round-face I've been calling for a while. I thought I'd let you know that I'm close to your stop. So, it shouldn't be long."

Unable to make sense of anything he was saying she simply stared at the wall with a blank expression letting her eyes go back to the envelope.

"Round-face? You there?"

"Bakugo…?" she managed to say weakly as she looked over the blood-stained envelope once more, momentarily closing her eyes.

"Uraraka everything alright?" She could hear the worry and alarm evident in his voice as she dropped the phone. "Uraraka? Uraraka answer me!"

Gulping down, she slowly reached for it pulling out what was inside.

"No…"

Widening her eyes as she gasped placing a hand to her mouth, she quickly scrambled backwards trying her best to keep from screaming as her eyes darted around franticly before crawling towards the bathroom and letting out everything her stomach couldn't hold in anymore.

Shutting her eyes tightly she suddenly felt it difficult to breathe… like her whole world was just crumbling apart around her. She couldn't think. She couldn't speak. She felt like nothing made sense at this very moment, hoping that this was just all a horrible dream that she would wake up from any minute. But the words 'I told you I've already won.' Just continued to flood in her mind from before.

She didn't know how long she'd been there sitting there.

Time at that moment didn't make sense to her. Feeling exhausted and unable to move from her spot near the wall and just staring at him with empty eyes. Feeling a tear drop every once in a while, as everything just…quieted down around her. Slowly being muted even as she heard footsteps and muffled voices in the background.

Kicking the door open, Bakugo hurriedly stepped inside immediately seeing her huddled against the wall leaning her chin on her knees as she hugged her legs tightly against herself with a blank look on her face. "Uraraka!" Making his way over to her, he kneeled down looking her over to make sure she was alright. Grabbing her face to make her look at him. "Can you hear me? What's wrong?" he said, sounding panicked.

He saw her blinking up at him as if she just now realized he was there. "Bakugo?"

"Yeah, I'm here." He nodded, lifting his eyebrows, trying to figure out what was happening to her. "What's wrong? Are you ok?!" he tried again firmly.

"My dad…he…he won't wake up…" she continued to stare at him with a blank look. "Can you see if he'll wake up?"

"What?"

"Can you see if you can wake him up for me, please?"

"What are you-" Frowning he shook his head confused as he looked over his shoulder. "Shit! HAWKS!" Fearing at what he saw, Bakugos eyes widened as he ran over to the desk looking the man over and seeing blood everywhere. "NO! MR. URARAKA COME ON! SHIT!"

Seeing the wounds Bakugo felt his eyes shake in fear. "No! You can't just-" Looking for a pulse he immediately stopped already feeling him cold. "No…"

Stumbling back, Bakugo ran his hand through his face until he saw a familiar figure not too far away. "KIRISHIMA!" Rushing over he immediately started checking him over and looking over the various wounds. "Come on… come on you idiot don't do this shit to me! HAWKS GET IN HERE!"

"I'm here! What happened?!" Hawks said as he ran inside seeing Uraraka huddled against the wall. "Uraraka!"

"WE NEED A FUCKIN AMBULANCE! NOW!"

Scanning the office Hawks quickly ran over to Mr. Uraraka. "Mr. U! What-is he…?" Meeting Bakugos gaze Hawks cut himself off already knowing the answer. "Damn it!"

Picking up his phone Hawks started dialing but stopped as he kneeled to pick up a couple of photos sprawled on the floor near an envelope. "Shit." Letting his head drop, Hawks took a glimpse at Urarakas unmoving form with a somber look in his eyes. "Bakugo…you better look at this…."

"What?!" Snatching it from his hands, Bakugo took a look clenching his fists almost crumpling them. "What…the…fuck…is…this...?" he gritted between clenched teeth feeling himself shaking out of anger.

Walking out, Bakugo could hear Hawks already talking with someone on the phone asking for immediate assistance.

Feeling the anger boiling inside him, Bakugo placed the pictures on the desk and could see from the pictures what had apparently happened last night.

Toga was happily smiling with the other members of her group next to Urarakas dad already beaten and bruised while tied up. She had apparently made sure to take a few pictures of him slowly being tortured but the worse part was… that in all those pictures it wasn't Toga smiling but Urarakas face staring back at the camera instead.

"DAMN IT!" he shouted, feeling his hands twitch with the need to release his quirk and slamming his fist through the wall. "FUCK!"

Taking a deep breath Bakugo removed his hand from the now damaged wall turning to see Uraraka still staring off somewhere. "Uraraka." Rushing back, he carefully kneeled next to her as she looked up. "Uraraka I'm-"

"Did you wake him?"

Tiling his head, he stared at her for a moment realizing that she must've still been in shock.

Opening his mouth, he was suddenly at a loss for words. How do you begin to tell someone you care about… that someone they loved was no longer breathing? How do you tell them that they were gone…?

"Uraraka…" Feeling his voice tremble and throat tighten he slowly lifted his eyes to see her face. "Your dad…"

Suddenly seeing the pained look in her brown eyes as the tears started to gather there, he saw her trembling lip as she nodded, already understanding what he didn't want to say and the tears flooding her face.

"Uraraka-" Wrapping his arms around her, he felt her completely give in and shatter right in front of him as she screamed and cried in agony as her whole world came crashing down.

"No….no…"

"Shh, angel face I'm here ok and I'm not letting you go…" Tightening his hold and rubbing her back as she desperately clung onto him crying her heart out and unable to stop the tears that kept falling.

"Bakugo...she took him…she took him from me…she…why... why…?"

Hugging her tighter he placed his chin on her head, closing his eyes as he felt her tremble and continue to cry and just wishing that he could somehow take all this pain from her.

After the ambulance and police came, they immediately rushed Kirishima to the hospital and that's where they found themselves now.

Having spoken to the police already Uraraka found herself sitting in the waiting room leaning against her mom's shoulder as they silently waited to hear word about Kirishima condition with Deku sitting in the other chair next to her as well as the others who remained quietly waiting.

Mina sat further away from everyone staring out the window next to Kirishima's parents and occasionally glanced worriedly at Urarakas tired face.

Turning the corner Bakugo made his way over to the Kirishimas parents handing them each a cup of coffee and talking to them for a minute before heading to the two women.

"Thank you, Bakugo. "Mrs. Uraraka said with a sad smile.

Nodding he handed one to her, but Uraraka shook her head. "I'm fine, thank you." she quietly said keeping her eyes on the ground.

Glaring at the seat next to her that was occupied by a worried Deku. Bakugo let out an annoyed huff sitting in the seat across from them and placing the cup down right before he heard a familiar voice calling out to him.

"Katsuki!"

"Hah?!" Jumping from his seat he was almost tackled as Mitsuki came rushing in followed by her husband.

"Where is she?! Is she ok?!" Turning around Mitsuki quickly rushed over and gave Uraraka a hug. "Uraraka I'm so sorry sweety!"

"What are you guys doing here?" Bakugo asked, looking between his mom and dad a bit taken back and confused.

"Katsuki after you told us what happened we had to come and see if they were alright." Masaru said.

"Oh um…thank you." Uraraka said looking back at her mother.

"Hi, I'm Mitsuki and this is my husband Masaru we're Katsuki parents." She said, shaking her hand. "We are so sorry to hear what happened."

Giving a small smile Mrs. Uraraka nodded "Thank you that's very nice of you. Bakugo's been very helpful, you have such a kind son."

Lifting an eyebrow Mitsuki looked back at him as he felt his ears turning red. "Well would you look at that."

Rolling his eyes as they continued talking, he saw Hawks finishing a phone call a little further away and decided to march over there so that way no one could overhear them.

Grabbing him by the collar of his jacket he slammed him against the wall. "Where the hell were you?! Weren't you supposed to keep watch?!"

Narrowing his eyes Hawks grabbed his hands. "I was out on a mission kid!"

"Don't you fuckin call me that! And how does that make this shit alright?!"

Letting out a defeated sight Hawks lifted his hands. "You're right it doesn't. I was out of town and came as fast as I could when you called me."

Releasing his grip Bakugo turned to see their parents now talking to Kirishimas.

"How is she?"

"How do you think…" Leaning against the wall Bakugo folded his arms watching her sitting with her chin on her knee. "She won't talk much."

"That's to be expected." Hawks said looking at her. "Sad thing is…something like that never really goes away…"

"So why are you here?"

"Wanted to make sure they were alright, plus there are still some questions needing to be asked back at the station and some paperwork." Hawks said as he made his way over to the parents.

"You've got to be fuckin shitting me."

"Katsuki." Mitsuki gave him a warning look.

"No problem, whatever you need." Mrs. Uraraka said.

"I'll come with you!" Uraraka said already getting up and putting her jacket on.

"Sweetheart that's ok, you've already answered all the questions you could." Mrs. Uraraka forced a small smile while her eyes filled with tears. "You need to go home and rest. They already have someone ready to take you home and keep watch."

"But-"

"No Ochaco. Get some rest…please. I'll be fine ok. Your aunt Yui will meet me there." Mrs. Uraraka wiped her face while hugging her daughter.

"I'll come with you."

"Katsuki-" Mitsuki shook her head.

"There's no way in hell I'm leaving her alone!" he said making sure to try and keep his voice down.

"Bakugo it's really ok…" Uraraka said softly looking down.

"No." he said, meeting his moms' eyes. "I'm not leaving her side."

Looking over her shoulder at her husband, Mitskuki nodded. "Alright, if its ok with Mrs. Uraraka, we would be more than happy to bring Uraraka home with us for the night and we can bring her back in the morning."

Smiling Urarakas mom nodded. "Thank you."

Nodding Mitsuki turned back to her son. "But remember you still have school tomorrow Katsuki."

"Mom-" he started but upon seeing her face he quickly cut himself off.

As everyone started leaving one by one after being told that Kirishimas parents would let them know if there was any news, Bakugo quietly sat in one of the chairs close to Kirishimas bed for a while now. Hoping that he would already wake up with his usual toothy grin and tell him everything was alright.

Letting out a shaky breath, Bakugo looked down at the bed sheets for a minute.

"You know…it's crazy to see you in here idiot." Scoffing, he shook his head. "What were you thinking? Oh, that's right… your ass never does." Glancing down at his hands he felt his throat tighten as he tried to keep his voice from shaking. "Always in a hurry to help everyone out…and it doesn't matter who it is…and always so positive about every damn thing." He paused frowning and felt his eyes water. "Kirishima, you were the first one to befriend me at school...my first real friend other than Izuku… And it didn't matter what I did, you always had my back no matter what, no questions asked. Well guess what idiot we need you here! We need you and your positive ass to wake the hell up already because-" Feeling his voice crack he placed his palms on his forehead. "I need my best friend…"

"…Bakugo?"

Startled he stood from his seat swiftly turning to come face to face with a crying Mina who had been standing there for a while listening.

Staring out the car window Uraraka still felt numb about everything that's happened. In some level she still didn't want to believe it. Her dad was gone and one of her friends was lying in a hospital bed and they didn't know if he would wake up or not. 'How could I let this happen?'

Feeling her eyes sting, she quickly closed them as she felt Bakugo reach out placing his bandaged hand on top of hers gently squeezing remind her, he was still there for her.

Once they arrived at his home, they quickly took off their shoes while Uraraka looked around. The place was quite spacious and modern but then again, she shouldn't be surprised after seeing how the outside looked.

Slowly turning to see Mitsuki and Masaru she gave them a small smile. "Thank you for letting me stay here. I hope I'm not intruding."

"No not at all. Please feel free to let us know if there's anything you need. Are you hungry?" Masaur asked.

"No that's ok. I rather just lie down if that's ok." she said looking away.

"Come on, I'll show you up." Bakugo motioned up the stairs as she hesitantly followed.

"Katsuki…"

Looking back, he saw Mitsuku waiting for him in the kitchen.

"Go ahead, it's the first door on the left. I'll be right there." He said watching her disappear up the stairs before he walked to the kitchen.

"I just wrote her mother letting her know we made it here." Mitsuki said placing her phone down on the counter and watching her son pulling a plate out of the cabinet. "She said that they are still going over some information with her. I can't even imagine what they must be going through right now."

"I don't think many people can. Not after what she saw." Bakugo said rummaging through the fridge but stopping as a somber look crossed over his face. "He was a really good guy mom…he cared a lot about the two of them." Turning around he looked at his parents. "He even decided to give someone as shitty as me a chance, so I need to be there for them."

"Katsuki, about what you told your father and I on the phone…" Mitsuki stared glancing over her shoulder at her husband and remembering the conversation that took place a few hours ago on the phone.

"We hope you understand our concern." Masaru said.

"I know you want to protect her and be there for them-"

"And I will!" he said looking at them. "Look… I can't even fuckin begin to understand everything she must be going through, ok. But… I know that as much as it pains me to know that I'm leaving soon. I want to at least be there for the only girl I care about as much as I possibly can. So please just… don't take that away from me."

Tilting her head to the side Mitsuku smiled warmly at him before ruffling his hair. "Told you so."

"Don't fuckin start." Bakugo said rolling his eyes and smacking her hand away as he made his way up the stairs.

"Oh, and another thing, I hope I don't need to tell you-"

Lifting up his hand to stop her Bakugo didn't dare turn around and really hoping she wouldn't try and talk to him about teenage hormones again to name a few."I know. You don't have to worry about it alright, I'm not an idiot."

"Debatable." She hummed before heading back to the kitchen.

"I HEARD THAT!"

X

Standing awkwardly in the room she shyly looked around at the various pictures, books, trophies, and medals littering the walls along with some All might posters.

Unable to contain a small smile as she walked closer to some of the trophies on a shelf. 'Hmm…always needs to be the best huh?' Squintingher eyes, she read some of them that he had apparently won at science and math competitions, making her slightly giggle. "And here he was always calling Deku a nerd…'

"What's so funny?"

Lightly tapping her finger on one of the medals she looked over her shoulder. "Just looking over some of your interesting achievements."

Scowling at what she saw he quickly looked away. "Tch, don't know what you're talking about."

"Right." Turning back to the medals, she gave one last look, somewhat amused at the fact that he was such a cute dork before walking over to awkwardly sit at the edge of the bed.

"So, I wasn't sure exactly what you wanted, so I brought a little bit of everything…" he said walking over to her with a plate of food and avoiding his eyes as a barely noticeable blush creeped up his cheeks.

"Thanks Bakugo, for doing all this but…I'm really not that hungry."

"I know. But you really should try and eat something." He said sitting down next to her. He could see the hesitation on her face as she looked away. "Don't make me force feed you like a damn baby because you know I'll do it."

Snapping her head in his direction she opened her mouth in disbelief and ready to protest before he quickly started poking her sides, making her smile and give out a small laugh at being ticklish as she leaned back on the bed while he hovered over her.

After a minute he stopped as she started to calm down and catch her breath, replacing her features with a sad smile instead as a small tear ran down her cheek.

Pressing his lips together he gently wiped the tear away with thumb, picking up a small grape from the plate and lifting it to her mouth. "Please Ochaco… you need to eat something."

Slowly nodding, she opened her mouth eating it while he picked up another grape plopping it into his mouth with a smug smirk before getting up and gesturing to the hall. "The bathroom is across the hall if you want to change."

"Ok...thanks."

Staring after her he let himself sit down on his computer chair running a hand through his tired face before turning and browsing through his movie collection trying to find something that she might like.

10 minutes later she came out wearing her gray pajama shorts and pink shirt. "Sorry to keep you waiting."

Waving her off he continued to look through his shelf. "You wanna watch something?"

"Anything's fine." She said before remembering the events of what happened in school, placing a piece of hair behind her ear. "Except anything scary."

Lifting an amused eyebrow, he nodded. "Got it…nothing scary."

Randomly throwing in a movie. He started pulling out an extra blanket from his closet, throwing it on the floor along with a pillow.

"You don't have to…"

Looking up he saw her still staring at the tv screen. "It's fine, I don't mind. Just try and get some rest and eat a little-"

"Please…"

Staring at her for a minute he let out a small sigh before nervously lying next to her as she shyly scooted closer. Slowly lifting his arm to wrap around her he stared at her questioningly. "Is this ok?"

Feeling her nod, he took a deep breath while resting his arms around her trying to relax while she ate some. "You know, when I was having issues sleeping before…for some reason every time I was next to you…I slept better." she quietly said.

Looking down he saw her gaze still fixed on the movie and feeling the corners of his mouth lift. "Yeah? Is that so."

"Mhmm…" she said as she felt her body trembling as her tears wanted to take over again and his hold tighten. "Sorry."

"Don't." he said firmly. "There's nothing for you to apologize for."

"I just can't seem to stop…" she whispered.

"Uraraka, if you need to…that's ok. You don't have to ever feel like you need to be strong all the time. Especially around me. And there's nothing wrong with letting it all out, it doesn't make you any less, especially in my eyes. So, if you need to cry…then do it."

Nodding she buried her face against his chest. "Thanks Bakugo."

Watching her cry throughout the night he continued to hold her until she finally fell asleep from pure exhaustion. Tilting his head back against the headboard he stared at the ceiling for a while placing an airpod on.

Music always helped calm him down and clear his head when he needed it. But he doubted this would be the case this time.

As much as he wanted to cherish the moment he had with her, he also knew that his time was running out more and more every day and that what she was going through right now wasn't easy, and he would be damned if he let himself be selfish this time. Because in the end what mattered the most was her…

Humming softly to the music, he looked down at her again as she slept making sure to gently move the hair from her face and stared at her dried cheeks as he quietly sang.

"I wanted you to know, I love the way you laugh. I want to hold you high and steal your pain awayyy. I keep your photograph, and I know it serves me well. I want to hold you high and steal your pain…"

AN: Hey everyone, Yeah I know this was pretty sad to write so don't hate me :( It just needed to be done for the story, but I hope I did a good job in explaining how she felt and what she's going through having gone through something similar myself and remember it always helps to talk to someone.

So just a few more chapters to go people we are 66/70! I'm pretty sure it'll be done by next week! and thanks again for taking the time to read this. You guys really are great!
