"Ez, I'm back!" Callum yelled as he landed on the ground in the middle of the castle, wings changing back into arms.

"Callum? What are you doing back already? I thought you and Rayla were staying with her dads?" Ezran asked as he and Soren ran over to him, Bait in his arms like always.

"Speaking fo the elf, where is she?" Soren added, looking around.

"Yeah, about that," Callum sighed, rubbing the back of his head, "I kinda did something stupid and pretty much got kicked out. Rayla's still staying for the whole week, thought. She says hi, by the way."

"You got kicked out?" Ezran repeated with a small frown.

"Why'd they do that? And how come Rayla's still staying there?" Soren asked, as small bite in his voice.

"Wait, before you get mad, I totally deserve getting kicked out! Like I said, I did something stupid and Ethari and Runaan have every right to not want me around for the moment! Also, just because I was dumb doesn't mean Rayla should have to lose out on time with her family!" Callum quickly shot down any possible reasons for anyone to get angry on his behave.

"Okay, but what did you do?" his brother asked curiously.

They all started walking inside towards Callum's room.

"I really don't wanna talk about it right now." he sighed.

"But what about-" "Ez, please. I've had a really long day along with lots of running, lifting and flying and right now I just want to sleep." he cut his brother off with a yawn before going into his room and dropping his bag.

"Alright then. Will you tell me what happened tomorrow morning?" Ezran asked, wanting to respect his brother's wishes but also not wanting to completely drop it.

"Sure, if you still wanna know by then, I'll tell you what happened. Good night, Ezran." Callum nodded before closing the door.

"Good night, Callum!" Ezran called back starting to walk to his own room, Soren escorting him.

"What do you think happened?" he asked rhe crown guard.

"I dunno. You know him better than I do, so your guess is probably better than mine." Soren shrugged.

After they reached Ezran's room he and Bait went inside while Soren retired to his own room.

Ezran went to pick up Bait when he found something stuck to the glowtoad's snout.

Something small, fluffy and bright pink.

"Hey, what do you have there, Bait?" he asked his pet as he gently pulled the thing off.

"I found it in Callum's bag. I was hoping to find a snack, but got stuck with this thing." the glowtoad admitted.

"But what is it?" Ezran mumbled as he carefully inspected the puffball only to gasp when a pair of eyes opened.

"Hello! I'm an adoraburr! I really liked you brother when he was playing at my home and to play with me and the others and wanted to come along! Will you be my friends too?" the puffball, no adoraburr, asked cheerfully.

Ezran was caught off guard for a moment but quickly got over it and grinned.

"Of course you can stay! We're happy to have you!" he told it.

"We are?" Bait asked but his was mostly ignored.

"You're really cute by the way." "Why, thank you! By the way, I'm sorry to impose this on you, but at the moment I'm actually pregnant and will soon give birth to my litter. Would you like me to give birth in the forest to not inconvinience you?"

"In the forest? No, have them here! I bet your babies would be way comfier inside here!" Ezran shook his head and shot the offer down, grinning at the happy squeak the adoraburr gave.

"Ez, are you sure that's a good idea? We just met her." Bait pointed out, warrily glancing at the adoraburr who just beamed back.

"Oh, come on, Bait! She's small, cute, really friendly and we can't just tell her to have her babies outside in the cold, harsh world!" Ezran protested.

"After all, what could go wrong?"

The next morning they learned a lot could go wrong and Callum swore to himself he was done with adoraburrs forever...
