Warning: Threat of spanking - don't like, don't read.

Percy woke up a few hours when the engine to the Impala turned off. It was dark already and the lights for the diner blurred her vision. She could not believe the irony that the name of the diner was Frank's. "Time to eat," Sam announced.

"Is this a joke?" she questioned. Both Sam and Dean turned in their seats to face her, both confused by her comment.

"Food is never a joke," Dean replied. Percy rolled her eyes. "Kid, what is your problem? I am not following."

"Duh…..You brought me to a place called Frank's," she groaned. Sam and Dean exchanged looks. "Uh, seriously, my foster father…his name was FRANK!"

"Oh man, sorry kid, father fail number one," Dean sighed as he glanced as Sam. "We'll get back on the highway and get off of the next exit for some food."

"It's fine," she muttered. "I'm starving."

"Percy, it's ok, we don't have to stay here," Sam commented.

"I said it's fine," she snapped as she hopped out of the car and slammed the door behind her. Dean climbed out quickly and stopped her by gently taking her arm as she started to walk toward the diner. "Don't put your hands on me," she demanded as she quickly tried to pull it from his grip. Dean's grip tightened. Percy stopped and glared up at him. Dean was not about to be intimidated by a twelve-year-old kid.

"There are going to be some rules moving forward," he stated firmly. "I don't know exactly what they all are yet, but number one – you will respect me and Sam and my car. I understand that the name of the diner may have triggered some negative feelings, but that's not a reason to show us disrespect. Understand?" Sam appeared behind Dean.

"Whatever," she sassed back with a roll of her eyes.

"It's a yes, no answer," Dean replied firmly. "Do you understand?" Percy could see he was not about to let up.

"Uh, yes, I understand," she stammered, somewhat flustered by his sternness.

"Good, let's go eat, I'm feeling a little hangry," Dean replied with a lighter tone. He released her arm, and she headed out in front of them. Once inside, they sat down at a booth. Percy slid in first and Dean took a seat next to her. Percy opened the meu and then closed it quickly.

"I'm going to have a cheeseburger and apple pie," she announced. Sam couldn't help but laugh aloud. "What's so funny?" Percy questioned.

"I bet that's exactly what Dean is going to order too," Sam replied with a smile, amazed by their similarities.

"Not quite smart ass," Dean replied, "I'm going to have the double cheeseburger AND 2 slices of apple pie." Sam laughed again.

"So how many more hours on the road do we have?" Percy asked.

"About 12, give or take an hour," Sam replied, "But we're only going to drive for a few more tonight and get a motel room."

"Think I could get a cell phone to keep me occupied on these road trips?" Percy questioned.

"No," they both replied in unison. Percy sighed.

"But we could stop and pick up some books for you to read and you could use my laptop when I'm not using it to play some games," Sam offered.

"Uh, I hate reading," she huffed in response. The waitress interrupted them to take their orders.

"Cute kid," she winked at Dean as she left their table. Dean blushed and went to follow after her.

"Dean, what the hell?" Sam snapped as his eyes moved to Percy.

"Yeah, you wouldn't be setting a good example if you go and bang the waitress," Percy added.

"What? Bang the waitress?" Dean questioned. "Aren't you only twelve? And for your information, I was not going to bang the waitress."

"Yeah right," Percy commented.

"So, Percy, what kinds of things do you like to do?" Sam asked, desperately trying to change the direction of the conversation.

"You know, the usual…..sex, drugs, rock n roll," she replied.

"There will be no sex and drugs on our watch," Dean responded in all seriousness. "Sheesh, I can't believe I even have to tell a 12-year-old that."

"Relax…..I was just kidding," Percy replied with a laugh. Dean glared over at Sam uncomfortably. "I like to skateboard, and my mom used to take me to drum lessons and that was cool. I like to listen to music, but Jordan shattered my iPod."

"Well, I have some great cassettes in the car," Dean mentioned.

"What are cassettes?" Percy asked.

"They play music," Dean replied with a chuckle. The waitress came back with their food and winked at Dean again.

"I'm sorry, he can't hook up tonight," Percy announced. "He has his kid with him." The woman's face flushed red with embarrassment, and she hurried off. Dean was annoyed and turned toward Percy. "What? She clearly thought she was going to get something from you," she commented. It was at that moment that Dean realized life as he knew it was over including his sex life.

"Enough kid, I don't think it's cute," Dean stated firmly. Percy contemplated a smug remark, but instead took a french fry off of her plate and took a bite. Dean glanced at Sam and then reached down and picked up his burger. The tension remained and they ate in silence. After dessert they headed back out to the car. Dean glanced in his rearview mirror at Percy and her eyes caught his. Percy frowned and quickly looked away. Dean sighed and then started the engine.

"There's a motel about 100 miles off the highway," Sam commented as he closed his laptop. "Looks like they have rooms with 2 beds and a sofa bed."

"Sounds like a plan," Dean replied. Percy smushed her pillow against the window and rested her head on it. She felt like Dean and Sam already regretted their decision to take her with them and normally she didn't care what anyone thought, but for some reason she cared what they thought and that bothered her. "Hey kid," she heard Dean's voice say. She opened her eyes to find Dean peering down at her. "We're at the motel."

"Ok," she replied groggily as she clutched onto her pillow tightly and climbed out of the car. She saw Sam standing in the distance and trudged toward him and into the motel room door behind him. Without missing a beat, Percy climbed into the nearest bed and under the covers and was out like a light. Sam and Dean rustled around with the bags, and we were asleep soon afterward.

A few hours later Percy woke up and snoring noises filled the room. She saw Sam asleep in the bed next to her and Dean was on the couch with his legs hanging over the side. She tried to go back to sleep, but her mind wandered to her first few hours with them. It was obvious to her that Dean didn't like her and she wondered what the future would be like for them. She impulsively made the decision to leave. She figured they would be relieved to find her gone in the morning. Percy was used to sneaking out and grabbed her bag from the chair by the door. The contents of Dean and Sam's pockets were scattered on the table including their wallets. Percy opened one to find it empty, but then opened the other to find a fifty-dollar bill. She quickly stuffed it into her pocket and slid out the door into the morning light. She figured hitchhiking was probably her only option to get away quickly, so she ran for the highway.

Meanwhile, the click of the door closing woke Sam up. He immediately noticed that Percy's bed was empty and checked the bathroom. "Dean! Wake up!" he yelled.

"Wh…wh…what?" Dean gasped as he jumped up from the couch.

"She's gone!" Sam said urgently as he headed quickly to the motel door. He flung open the door just in time to see what looked like a red tractor trailer pulled over in front and watched with horror as a child climbed inside. "Dean, we have a problem!" he gasped as he headed for the Impala with his brother close behind. They both hopped inside and within seconds were speeding off after the truck.

"What the hell Sam?!" Dean demanded angrily. "What is she doing?!" They could see the truck in the distance. Dean flew up on its bumper and started blowing his horn. When the truck didn't stop, he drove up beside it. Sam rolled down his window and waved to the driver to pull over.

"Don't stop!" Percy demanded when she saw them. "Those men tried to kidnap me!" The driver, a young man in his twenties, was conflicted on what to do.

"I'll call for 911," he replied.

"No, no, don't do that!" Percy replied worriedly. The man glanced at her suspiciously trying to figure out why she wouldn't want the police to help. Dean kept his car at an even pace beside the truck while Sam continued to motion to have him pull over.

"I'm going to call 911," the man said again.

"No!" Percy demanded. "Ugh…they're not kidnappers, but I want to get away from them. The man driving is my father." The truck driver started to slow down. "No, what are you doing?" Percy questioned worriedly.

"Hey kid, if he's your dad, I'm not about to get arrested for kidnapping," the truck driver responded as he pulled over and came to a stop. Percy immediately jumped out and took off running. Dean brought the impala to a stop behind the truck and was out within seconds and running after Percy while Sam went to talk to the driver. Percy's small legs were no match for Dean's large stride, and he caught up to her within moments. He reached out to grab her by the arm, but instead Percy flung herself to the ground. Dean stopped and lifted her abruptly.

"What the hell are you thinking?" he demanded as he set her on her feet in front of him. Percy flinched and turned her face away from him. He looked angry and she was worried he'd haul off and punch her like her foster father would have.

"Dean!" Sam interrupted as he came running toward them. Dean sighed with frustration and looked toward his brother. "Take a few minutes to calm down, will ya?"

"I'm not going to coddle her Sam," Dean responded angrily.

"I know, but you're scaring her," Sam replied.

"I'm not freakin scared of him!" Percy snapped. Dean sighed and rolled his eyes at Sam. He realized how angry he was and walked off toward the impala. He knew Percy had been through a lot in her life and didn't want to scare her. Sam looked at Percy and shook his head. He wanted to lecture her on how dangerous her actions were but wasn't sure if it was place.

"Let's go," he said to her.

"And if I don't?" she questioned.

"Percy, I don't want to place games with you," Sam replied firmly. "If I have to, I'll carry you to the impala, but I don't think you want to push anymore buttons right now." Percy peered at Sam and then at Dean who was pacing back and forth next to his car. "He's mad and rightfully so, and you're going to have to face him," Sam commented.

"I don't even know what the big deal is," she groaned as she started walking toward the impala.

"Did you know the man in the truck?" Sam demanded.

"No," Percy replied, "But I didn't know you or Dean either." Sam had to admit, she was good. She had an answer for everything.

"Come here," Dean motioned to Percy once they were within earshot. She continued to cautiously walk toward him. Once she was close enough, Dean lifted her up and sat her on the back edge of the car and loomed over her. "Why did you leave?" he questioned firmly. Percy shrugged her shoulders. "That's not good enough, I want an answer," he ordered, his voice stern.

"Because you hate me and the feeling is mutual," she replied. Sam sighed and worried about Dean's reaction.

"Welp, then it seems we have a probably," Dean replied, "Because like it or not, you're stuck with us,"

"I never asked for any of this," Percy protested.

"Yeah, well neither did I, but here we are," Dean shot back.

"Well, if you kept it in your pants, this wouldn't be a problem right now," she snapped. Sam's eyes widened with surprise. He couldn't believe the mouth on her. Dean had definitely met his match.

"That's enough," Dean warned. "Let's get a few things straight…..I may get mad, but I would never smack you around like your foster parents did. But…..I WILL put you over my knee and give you a sore ass if you deserve it." Percy's mouth dropped. "Am I clear?" he demanded. Percy huffed. "Do you understand?" he questioned. "I'm not playing your games anymore."

"So, you're saying that you'll beat me?" she sassed back.

"No, I'm saying that I will give you a spanking if you deserve it," Dean replied. "That's how we're going to roll from now on."

"I hate you," she snapped.

"Trust me, I'm not a big fan of you right now either," Dean replied. "What you did was dangerous. That man could've been a pedophile or something worse. You deliberately put yourself in danger and that WILL NOT happen again." His voice was firm and deliberate.

"We'll see about that," Percy replied.

"Seems like that spanking may be happening sooner than I thought," Dean threatened. "This is your last chance….do you understand what's going to happen if you continue to disrespect us and if you EVER put yourself in danger with poor choices again?" Percy didn't respond. "Ok then, I guess you're going to see how serious I am." Dean lifted her off of the impala and set her on the ground. Percy's heart began to pound in her chest. The last thing she wanted was to give in to his authority over her, but she did not want a spanking either. She was used to being pushed around, punched, slapped, etc., but this seemed different, and it worried her. Dean looked at Sam and shrugged his shoulders. "I tried," he sighed. Sam nodded his head in agreement. He agreed that his brother showed a lot more restraint than he thought he would. "Ok kid, I guess we'll take care of it in the backseat," Dean stated as he gave her a little nudge in that direction. Percy took a few steps forward and then turned to face him.

"Ok, ok, I understand," she huffed as she folded her arms against her chest.

"Good," Dean replied as he ruffled the hair on top of her head. Percy sighed with relief. "When we get back to the motel, Sam and I are going to talk, and we're going to have some rules for you moving forward."

"Sheesh, who would've thought you two would be so strict," she grumbled. Sam and Dean exchanged glances, and then Sam pat Dean on the back. He was proud of the way Dean handled the situation and he was happy Percy finally gave into her obstinance…. for the time being.
