A/N: Sooooo. I'm sorry. This is incredibly late by my standards. I am extremely sorry for the long wait on this. But to back up, this chapter is pretty much strictly fluff. Good fluff ,lots of fuzzy feels. As it is. I am in my senior of high school, and I just started my first job at the end of August, so I am a bit busy I will try very hard to keep going. I have not given up on this fic!

"Feliciano vhere are ve going?" Ludwig whispered harshly as he smacked a branch out the way. It was nearing nightfall, and the jungles around them were slowly turning black rather than green. It wasn't safe to be out after dark around here, anyone knew that. The big cats and venomous snakes may stay away from the village, but they were no where near its protective borders. And to make things worse they had left Berlitz and Felicity put up at Feli's place for now. Gladiator was shy to admit it, but he was beginning to miss Pele's quiet company, and with Felicity gone so often he had even missed her energy and bright spirit. So they has been left with the old raptor for the night.
"Ve~ Just a little bit a farther I promise!" He whispered back over his shoulder. The little prince was wrapped in a dark blue cloak with the hood pulled up, further obscuring him from view. Though Ludwig would be even harder to spot, his long cloak was the same green as the leaves, and thus blended flawlessly with them.
"I still don't understand vhat you are getting at here Feli! Its late, there are going to be predators around and...!" Ludwig paused in his speech, eyes alighting on the field before them. The jungles cut off abruptly and dipped into a shallow valley before the low rising side of the volcano on the other side. At this hour it glowed an angry red near its summit, spewing it's liquid fire to the lava fields on the other of the island. But this field, this field was on the fertile south side of the fiery mountain.
And right now, it was filled with the tall stalks of moon flowers. Not sunflowers, those grew only on Kilowe Island. But moon flowers were just as hard to find, with bright glowing white trumpet shaped blossoms, and thin blade like leaves on vines. Kiku often crushed the petals into a paste that helped one fall asleep. The blossoms reached Feli's waist and just to Ludwig's hips at their tallest.
"Ve!~ Catch me if you can Luddy!" Feli said with a playfully innocent grin before diving into the tangle of leaves.
"Was!?" Ludwig shouted surprised. But the omega was already gone, springing through the field leaving a trail of swishing blossoms in his wake. He bolted after him, longer legs taking him farther faster. What was the little prince thinking? Only the gods knew what kind of predators could be hiding out here just waiting for an unsuspecting creature to stroll on by for its next meal!
And yet, as he gave chase after the little omega he couldn't help but smile. It felt right, it felt...familiar. like the fuzzy feeling from the cove. Feli took a wheeling turn to the left flashing a devious smirk back at him and arching his back playfully. He was just begging for Ludwig to jump and tackle him to the ground. And Ludwig was considering doing just that as he pivoted on the ball of his foot to continue his chase after him.
Feli loosed a bright laugh. One filled with mirth and cheer. His giggles were sweeter than music to Ludwig's ears and infectious at worst. He could not help but give a laugh of his own. And his voice, oh it resonated deeply, a thick bass, with a touch of joy and warmth. A sound that had Feli nearly tripping over himself in relief. He had not heard that laugh in so long.
As Ludwig continued rushing through the field after his omega... his omega. His vision flickered. A younger Feli ran before him, rather than the lovely grown omega he was now. High pitched laughter rang in his ears, and his keen sense of smell picked up crushed petals, fresh turned earth, and something altogether warmer and spicier.
I'm going to get you Feli!
A childish voice rang in his ears. His voice, he recognized the accent and the softer tone his voice had once held. He felt lower to the ground, and not as trained, ie couldn't feel the spring of his natural reflexes. And the for once, there was no fog in his mind about what was going on or who he was with. This was Feliciano, prince of Maykelo, royal omega, his best friend, his future promised. And they had snuck out to see the moon flower field in full bloom. The strong, rich scent of the flowers and each other had set them to a game of playful chase. They laughed, and squealed and shouted in joy uncaring of what creatures stalked the night.
As he closed in on the omega his hunting instincts took over. He calculated where the boy would turn next, and when, and how much force to use. And then, as they neared the top of the next rolling ridge, he leaped, and caught him! His little arms latched tight around the slim frame and hauled the smaller body over against him as the rolled down through the stalks and crushing and bending the plants beneath then. They laughed as they tumbled down the gentle slope before coming to a stop at the bottom with the moon flowers shining above.
And then he was above the boy, hands digging into the soil on either side of his head and arms locked straight. He was half laying beside him, half looming over his petite form. Feli's unmarked chest rose and fell rapidly in a pant broken by soft giggles. His amber eyes were an ocean of rich cocoa brown with the night stars swimming in them. He would gladly drown in that sea any day.
Suddenly he was no longer staring at a nine year old boy, but a young eighteen year old man. The features were the same over all, and his eyes still reflected the stars same as they had on that warm night so long ago. But they were no longer children, and the fog was descending into Ludwig's mind once again. But it was there still. This overwhelming urge to lean forward the last couple of inches and seal their lips together in a sweet kiss.
His arms shook somewhat but not from his own weight. He was beginning to loose himself in his once promised's stunning eyes. Drowning in caramel, honey, and chocolate. He barely noticed himself fallowing his body's leaning in until their chests touch and noses brushed against the others. He could feel his own quick breaths blending with the omegas, and taste his scent on his tongue. Sweet and enticing and ringing with something deep within him that called out 'mine'.
Turning his head the barest fraction to the right he sealed his lips over Feli's softly and gently, in love and affection. A spark of something both exciting and calming and strangely familiar zipped and raced down his spine. He felt the omega lips curl in a smile at the chaste kiss as he leaned up and into it, pressing his chest flush to the blond's. He pulled back a few long seconds later, before the full effect of what had just happened hit him.
That had been his first kiss. And no doubt Feli's. At least, his first kiss on the lips. And now the affection he felt when around the omega was growing. That warm familiar feeling that made his mind feel a little clearer each time he felt it.
"Luddy?" The quiet whisper drew the alpha's attention back to the enticing omega spread out bellow him. He leaned back onto his side, allowing the omega room to escape if he wanted. The smile take dazzled and danced on Feli's face was magnificent, slightly open, but not his usual over sized grin either. The promise mark stretched with the skin as he breathed, and the black ink shimmered as if still brand new.
"Did you a remember something?" The omega continued. Ludwig's own smile was soft, small but genuine. And Feli liked that very much. This was the first time since he had first reunited with his promised that he had seen him smile like that. The alpha's blond hair was falling loose and one of two long strands brushed his face in a ticklish manner, and the shadows made his ever bright blue eyes dance in shades of indigo and navy. And the one affirmative nod made his heart soar into the sky. He lurched upward and wrapped his arms around his alpha's neck and buried his face in his neck, breathing in his scent.
This was exactly what he had hoped for. Whatever had happened at the Bone Sea, was forgotten in that moment under the stars. For the briefest of moments he truly had his alpha back. And he believed that this new Luddy was falling for him all over again. He felt an arm wrap around his back to support his weight and took comfort in it. This was his Ludwig, this is what they were meant to be.
"I remembered affection. I know that you are mine Feli. Its coming back. I just need a little more time." The words whispered in his ear were both a blessing and a curse. He was remembering, but he still need that extra push. Never the less, Feli smiled brightly, a full on grin, and angled his head to brush his lips past his alpha's ear in a half kiss. Tonight was a victory for them, and he could live with that.
A/N: And that's that. I apologize for the sever shortness of it. But hey! There is growing romance at last! Next chapter, we get into the weather forecasting, find out the fate of our beloved Greece/Herakles, and set some plans for the future. Until then my pets. Read on!
