The Gungan's marched beside the Civilianist's into Theed. The Gungan's had suffered heavy losses like the Civilians had, at one point the Gungans had to return to their under-water home to debate their involvement in the war, they came to a draw on what to do and the only Gungan that hadn't voted was a crucial man, a man who had strong ties to Naboo and the thought-extinct Jedi: Jar Jar Binks. Jar Jar had the deciding vote, both sides tried to sway and force Jar Jar to pick their side but Jar Jar stayed true to what he believed in and chose to aid Naboo further. Uproar commenced but was soon silenced by the governing body of the Gungans.
So they marched, loyal and devoted side by side with the civilians, equal. They wore Civilianist Army clothing with a Gungan twist, they wore the Navy shirt and white trousers but with a dome and wave emblem on the left shoulder. They used their own weapons but had Civilianist weaponry also as back-ups, they were mixed in with their Civilian comrades in the hundred and ninety-five units that remained from the nine hundred that were assembled just a few months ago. The Gungans did not wear the Civilians helmets, in stead they wore the traditional Gungan helmets instead of the white or grey helmets with the jet black visors.
Theed lay in ruins, debris, bodies, flames and abandoned weapons and cover littered the centre where the Civilianist Army massed. On the out skirts of Theed the Imperial Armies lay in wait, on the far brim of Theed Rebel Clones massed their full might of over twice what the Civilianist Army had. The Rebel Clones still wore their armour from the Clone Wars, some modifications to the armour had been done over the years but all in all they could still be seen as part of the Grand Army of The Republic.
"Marek, you take Unit's one threw thirty nine, Bdeo, you take Unit's forty to seventy-eight. Horath you take seventy-nine threw one hundred and seventeen, Naxoi, you take a hundred and eighteen threw to one hundred and fifty-six, and Lornate, you take one hundred and fifty-seven threw to one hundred and ninety-five. is that clear Admirals?" Vince Korak the main man of the Civilianist ordered.
"Crystal." Bdeo, Horath, Naxoi Lornate and Marek answered.
"Marek, your Units form Alpha Squad, Bdeo yours are Beta, Horarh yours are Gamma, Naxoi yours are Delta and Lornate yours are Omega. I will head the assault from the command post we have agreed upon, Naxoi and Lornate, as you are both Gungan, you will be going west and east, there is water on your routes, use it. Horath and Bdeo south and north, Marek you stay central. Clear?"
"Crystal Sir" The Admiral's replied again.
"Marek, forward command, ten minutes."
"Aye Sir."
"Move out!"
The square sparked to life as boots pounded the pavement and weapons clicked their approval. The units split quickly without confusion and followed their General's who in turn followed the Admirals.
"General Jack Target, to forward command on the double!" A Sub-Admiral shouted into Alpha Unit.
"Aye Sir!" Target volleyed back.
"Keep your guard up! Kallium defence before attack, the Jedi way isn't all act and no preservation!" Shaak Ti stated in basic.
"Sorry Master."
Shaak Ti summoned her blade back into her hilt and gestured for Kallium to follow suit, which he did.
"I sense something troubles you young one."
"Yes Master."
"Is it your training?"
"No Master Ti"
"Then what is it Kallium?"
Kallium paced slightly, hilt in hand debating whether or not to talk to the Jedi Master.
"It's... It's my Mom."
"What about her Young One?"
"Will I have to sever my connection with her if I wish to become a fully fledged Jedi? Will I have to forget her? I know the stories of Anakin Skywalker, one of the only Jedi to ever have a Mother, a life before the order, he turned to the Darkside. Will my love for my Mother turn me? Will I end up destroying this Temple? The Temple that has homed me? The Jedi who have protected and helped me? Will I become my Father's servant? I can't answer these questions Master. For all the power and knowledge I have, I know nothing and I am still fearful of the Darkside and the evil I could become."
"Kallium, you are unique. Your connection with your Mother means too much to you. We failed Anakin by making him feel lost. This order will not follow the past but the future it may follow. The old ways betrayed us as while Master Yoda was training us to fight and destroy the Sith, the Sith were going in strength, they were planning their revenge, if you hold nothing but light in your heart and allow no fear to penetrate it you will be a better Jedi than I."
"Master, I am not even apprenticed, and Master Yoda is too old to teach a padwan, Maris feels that she isn't ready and you have Maris, there is no place for me to be trained properly."
"Ah but Maris is a Master now and Obi-Wan will soon be free to rejoin us in his home, when the time comes Kallium I will take you as my apprentice and I will teach you and be your friend as well as your teacher and Master."
"Thank you Master Ti but a Master can only have one Apprentice."
"Yes but Maris is no longer my ward, she is her own Master now and she is well versed in Jedi tradition and law, she will become a great and powerful Jedi once she is enlightened by the force."
Kallium bowed his thanks and paced further, pondering on Shaak Ti's offer.
"Master Ti, I accept your offer of Apprenticeship for when I am ready and worthy to be taught."
"You may already be."
"Your prisoner, KM99 was tortured, correct General Target?"
"Yes Governor Korak."
"And your version of events is the truth?"
"Yes Sir."
The door swung open with a bang and a click, to reveal Galen Marek in his normal every-day clothing.
"By me Governor. I have brought my Civilianist Uniform and all items to do with the Army ready for my dishonourable discharge Sir." Galen answered.
"Marek, I was not expecting you so.. soon."
"Target please go and tend your men." Galen said solemnly.
"Marek, you are in no position to hand him orders."
"I am aware but as I founded this Army I believe I have the right to issue two last orders, one that Target goes to tend Alpha Unit and two that Target replaces me as Admiral of Alpha Unit, Sir."
"General, you are dismissed but not promoted."
"Aye Sir!" Target said saluting.
The door shut quietly with a click and once Target's footsteps had trailed away the Governor spoke again.
"Before you open your mouth Marek, listen. Ok?"
"Yes Korak."
"I have not promoted Target as you are not discharged as from the account of General Target you were provoked several times and only lost your way for a few minutes but this is not a get-out-of-jail-free-card, I have written out a formal warning and it is in your file. I do not expect such behaviour from you again."
"Thank you Sir but I do not deserve it, was Target punished?"
"Yes, he has a non-formal warning."
"I ordered him to stay Sir."
"Do not even try it today Marek! Now get back to the field! I expect to see you in one piece afterwards so we can discuss this further. Are we clear?"
"Crystal Sir."
"Good, get back in your uniform and get back on the field soldier!"
"Of course Sir!"
Galen dived out of the door and down into the main square, he went into the small armoury and changed into his Uniform, he reattached his rank card and belt before walking back out and straight into Target.
"Sorry Target."
"Galen it's not your fault I wasn't looking where I was going."
"I meant it broader than that I should have ordered you away."
"Sir, I would not have learnt a thing that way and I'm glad to see that you will be returning as my superior."
"Yes but this time, we go by the book no more tough-guy-tactics."
"Aye Sir."
"Good now rally your unit and send word to the other Generals to rally theirs, I can already sense Imperial scum and RebClone Scum!"
"Yes, Sir!"
"And make sure your second in command is aware that each unit will be split into two formations, one behind the General, one behind your second in command, yours is Cayn Xaz correct?"
"Yes."
"Tell Xaz to spread those orders to his fellow First rate Lieutenants."
"Aye."
