Here's the next chapter! Enjoy :)

Aurora's eyes widened; she couldn't get over the size of the new xeno. It was almost the size of a fucking elephant!

Guess Robin thought so to, because she couldn't help the scream that escaped her mouth. The scream made Aurora cringe and even Wilson flinched at the high-pitched scream. The only one who wasn't bothered by it was Air'ik.

Right now, his focus was on the large xeno in front of him. He was right when he noted it was a drone. But it was a drone around the size of a warrior hard meat.

It whipped around its long tail that had a larger than normal barb on the end of it. The tube-like appendages on its back were not rounded off like a normal xenomorph's. Instead, they curved into wicked points at the end.

The two remaining hard meats flocked to it. They came to a halt in front of the larger one and seemed to be waiting for instructions. The larger one gave a few short screeches and hissed.

Next thing anyone knew, the two smaller ones charged at the group.

The three humans and yautja waited until they were close enough. Then Air'ik gave the signal.

"Fire everything you got at them!" He yelled at them.

They didn't need to be told twice. Wilson picked up one of the semi-automatics and began firing. Aurora joined in and picked up an AR-15 and fired. While Robin fumbled a bit with her semi before she finally was able to fire off some rounds.

Air'ik was itching to use his plasma caster. But the thought of a cave in still lingered in the back of his mind. Even if he was a very good shot, he fought these creatures long enough to know they could still dodge the shots. And when or if that happened, it wouldn't take much for that missed shot to hit the wall or ceiling.

A few smaller holes were already blown into the walls from Aurora's plasma pistol. But the explosions from that gun were not as big as the shoulder canon's blast.

He may as well pick up one of the ooman guns and use them along with the weapons he already had. The hunter has been on Earth several times and long enough. He acquired a few before and learned how to use them. In which, they were painstakingly easy to use.

But then he remembered he still had his whip in hand.

And when the nearest one jumped at them, he swung his arm back and jerked it forward. The whip lashed out and wrapped around the hard meat. It fell to the ground, screeching in shock.

With another jerk of his hand, the barbs sliced through the xeno, severing its limbs and rendering it helpless.

When the smaller bullets were not having the desired effect on the second xeno, Aurora picked up a shot gun.

She took careful aim, and when it was just ten feet away, she shot it in the head. The larger and more damaging bullet entered through its head, blowing chunks off at a time. The xeno dropped to the floor dead.

The larger xeno screeched in anger. Then it noticed movement off to the side several meters away. Its large head turned in the general direction of the movement.

When Aurora followed its gaze, she realized it had its sights set on the still gravely injured Briggs, who was still struggling to sit up. It hissed and started stalking towards the older man.

"NO!" Aurora yelled.

Then she started sprinting towards her oldest friend.

"Aurora! No! Get back here!" Air'ik yelled.

But Aurora didn't listen. She had to get to him.

Briggs hissed in pain and clutched the deep gashes in his side. A metallic taste filled his mouth, making him cough up drops of blood. He then heard the large beast drawing closer to him. Its large feet crunching on the ground as it stalked over to him.

He reached for his pistol in front of him. But a large quick blur whipped out in front of him, bringing up some debris with it. The older man looked on in shock when he saw it was the end of the creature's tail.

The long sharp tip embedded into the floor in front of him blocking his way to the pistol. He clumsily turned to face the monster and froze when he saw the hulking creature practically standing over him.

It growled at him as it lowered its head to his level.

Briggs spat at it, "Fuck you, you ugly mother fucker!"

The xeno let out a small roar and reached forward with its jaws open attempting to end the man's life.

The old man closed his eyes waiting for the end to come. When he heard more gunfire and the xeno screeching in pain.

His eyes snapped open, and he looked over to see Aurora running at them, shooting the semi. And not just her, Air'ik was hot on her heels as well.

"Air'ik try and distract it while I grab Briggs!" She ordered.

Aurora continued on her path towards the older man.

"AURORA NO! IT'S NOT SAFE! GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!" Briggs yelled.

But she ignored him and continued her approach.

The xeno saw her coming and was about to lunge for her. Until the hunter jumped up into the air and slammed his ki'cti-pa into the back of its long banana shaped head.

Air'ik hung onto the spear, that was still deeply embedded in the hard meat's skull. It roared and screeched in anger trying to shake itself free of the hunter.

The yautja swung himself up onto the monsters back, careful to avoid the protruding spikes. He wretched the spear free, before driving it into the back of the creature's skull again.

It continued to swing around, trying to get Air'ik off its back to no avail. And it now gave Aurora time to try and help Briggs. Even Wilson and Robin cautiously made their way over to help.

"You're going to be ok. Just hold on. We're going to help you." Aurora told the older man.

Briggs let out a weak laugh that turned into another bout of coughing. She became alarmed when he coughed up blood.

"Sorry, kid. But I'm close to clocking out here." He told her.

"Stop! Don't say that! You're going to be fine!" She countered.

But even Robin and Wilson knew the older man was slowly dying. Still, they tried to help get him out of the battle zone. Though it was hard trying to pull his staggering weight over the uneven floor and debris. And he kept falling every few steps.

Then they heard more banging coming from behind them.

Aurora turned her gaze only to watch in horror as the xeno started to slam its back into the walls in another attempt to get the yautja off its back.

After the third slam, Air'ik let out a pained howl when he became crushed between the cement wall and the xeno's bulk. It hurt like hell and stunned him. And the hunter ended up falling off of the hard meat's back and onto a pile of debris.

"NO!" Aurora yelled.

She told Wilson and Robin quickly to take Briggs other arm. Then she ran back to help Air'ik.

The hunter saw stars for a few moments from the hit and then falling onto the pile of concrete and metal. Then narrowly avoided getting skewered by the xeno's tail. He quickly rolled out of the way before the sharp barb made its mark.

Chunks of debris exploded from the pile, covering him as he rolled off. Then he clumsily got to his feet and tried to steady himself.

Air'ik then reached behind him for his spear gun. Only to be nailed by the creature's tail. It whacked him in the torso and sent him flying back. He hit the wall on the other side of the room and slid down it.

Aurora let out an enraged scream and pulled out her short sword. She swung it at the creature and severed a few of its fingers. Then another swing of the blade caught its chest leaving a long diagonal gash down its front.

She went to lift the blade again only for it to trip her up with its tail. And she landed hard on her back. The pain was an afterthought as it came down with its other hand.

The young woman quickly rolled out of the way right before its long sharp claws dug into the floor beside her.

Then she made it back up to her feet and ran. It gave chase and was hot on her heels. She saw the weapons that Wilson and Robin brought in on the floor a couple yards away.

The three other people were not far from their either. They tried to get Briggs out of there, but the older man was being stubborn and refused to leave without Aurora.

"GUYS! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!? GET OUT OF HERE!" She yelled.

The large hard meat lunged trying to make another grab but was deterred when something flew at it and severed its arm. It came to halt and roared in pain at its missing limb. Then narrowly missed losing another as the object came back.

Air'ik caught it in his outstretched hand and roared at the hard meat.

Aurora was getting closer to the weapons on the ground that were closest. She hoped what she had planned would work. Until something slammed into her from behind and sent her crashing into the floor.

She laid there and let out a pained gasp and couldn't move for what felt like several moments. Then she painfully rolled onto her back. Her eyes widened in horror as the monster loomed so close to her.

It then raised its tail and aimed it at her.

Air'ik saw was about to happen. But he wasn't close enough to get to her in time. As the tail was about to make its mark something else unexpectedly happened.

Aurora laid there frozen as the tail snapped forward looking to impale her on the sharp barb. Then next she knew, something or someone got in the way.

She heard the god-awful sound of flesh and tissue tearing. Then looked up and wailed in pain when she saw who it was.

Briggs stood there over her; a pained look took over his features as the barb jutted through his midsection.

"Get...get up...Run!" He croaked.

Then his body jerked to the side as the hard meat jerked its tail and let the human get thrown into a small pile of debris off to the side.

Tears clouded her vision along with something else, rage. She looked around and spotted what she wanted a foot above her head on the floor. She pulled the heavy thing to her and sat up with it with a pained grunt.

The xeno whipped its head back to her. It saw her sitting up and lunged for her, with its mouth open.

"FUCK YOU!" She screamed, then pulled the trigger.

The bazooka shot off into the creature's mouth. There was a loud wet bang as majority of the hard meat's head blew apart from the impact.

It dropped to the ground off to the side, dead.

They didn't have much time to celebrate when the ceilings started to slowly begin to cave from the shockwave from the mighty blast. It was time to leave.

Air'ik ran over to her and helped her up. She then stumbled over to Briggs prone form.

He weakly looked up at as Aurora's masked face came into view. She quickly pulled it off and knelt down beside him.

"Great shot...kid. I'm...proud of...you. But you have...have to go." He weakly croaked.

"C'MON! THIS PLACE IS GOING TO CAVE IN ANY MINUTE!" Wilson yelled from the exit.

Aurora felt a hand on her shoulder.

"We have to go now, Da'dtou-di." Air'ik says softly.

She wanted to demand that Air'ik carry the older man. But even she knew it was pointless. There was no saving Briggs.

"I'm so sorry." Aurora sobbed.

Briggs gave her a weak smile.

"Don't. I...I love you...Aurora. And I'd do it...again." He croaked.

She gave him a weak smile as more tears poured down her cheeks. Aurora reached out and cupped his cheek.

"I love you, Dad." Aurora said.

The light in his eyes brightened briefly at the words. Before the life finally left his eyes and he stopped breathing.

Aurora shakily stood to her feet. And put her mask back on.

"Come, we must go." He said.

On the way out, Air'ik retrieved his combi stick from the floor. He then quickly severed the head of one of the hard meats Aurora killed and stuck it to the end of his spear.

Aurora quickly followed him but didn't know why he felt the need to collect a head for a trophy. When he alreay had so many hard meat skulls of his own.

The ceiling stalled from collapsing. But they weren't going to take any chances.

"GO! DON'T WAIT FOR US! WE'LL BE RIGHT BEHIND YOU!" Aurora shouted ahead to Robin and Wilson who were at the exit.

Robin refused to budge at first. She didn't want to leave Aurora behind. But Wilson grabbed her arm and started to pull her out.

The yautja and young woman were nearing the exit when they heard a small cry for help.

They went over to see if they can retrieve whoever it was that survived. But stopped short when they saw who it was.

Agent Finn, was leaning on back on the wall. He was badly injured and could hardly move.

"Please...help. Don't leave me here." He begged.

Aurora balled her fists. No, she couldn't do it. He's just as much a monster as those serpents. Before she could reply though, Air'ik approached the injured male and knelt down in front of him.

"you don't look so good. But here Finn, I have a nice going away present for you." Air'ik said.

He then looked down at his wrist computer and rapidly tapped a few buttons. Then he detached it from his wrist and set it in the man's lap. Strange bright red symbols appeared on the screen and an odd beeping sound followed the symbols that started to move.

At first, Finn frowned not knowing what it was. But the motion of the symbols and the beeping gradually speeding up. It didn't take long to put two and two together. And he looked up at the hunter in horror.

Air'ik smirked behind his banged-up mask.

"Goodbye, Asshole." He said.

Then grasped Aurora's arm and they took off.

They ran out of the room and hurried up the stairway. Where they found Robin and Wilson waiting near the top.

"Let's go! I set a bomb. We have less than five minutes to get out before we get blown sky high!" Air'ik informed them.

The group didn't need to be told twice and ran to the nearest elevator. How it was still working was beyond them, but they were still thankful. They supposed they could take the emergency stairs up. But that would've taken longer.

After a few moments the elevator doors slid open on the ground level floor. And the group quickly ushered out and made their way to the exit. They ran around Briggs jeep that was still sitting in the lobby and out the hole it made.

"LET'S GET TO ONE OF THE HUMVEES TO THE LEFT IN THE FIELD! I HAVE THE KEYS!" Wilson yelled.

He then directed them to a small row of Humvees several yards to the left of the base.

The agent stopped in front of the first Humvee and unlocked it. The three humans shuffled inside. While the yautja jumped on top of it.

Once everyone was secure, Wilson turned on the engine and gunned it out of there. He sped through the front gate and continued down the road.

Another minute went by before they heard the rumble of an explosion behind them. Aurora and Robin looked in the side view mirrors and saw a huge bluish bubble of light expanding out into the sky. It also started to stretch out towards them and they watched as it grew and engulfed everything in its path.

"Oh shit!" Aurora said.

While Robin made the sign of the cross and started praying in her seat.

Wilson just continued to press the gas pedal into the floor of the vehicle trying his best to stay as far as he can from the expanding explosion.

It couldn't have been more than a couple minutes later before it finally slowed down and evaporated.

Wilson continued driving for the next several minutes until he felt it was safe enough to stop. Before he did though, Air'ik knocked on the roof of the vehicle.

That's when the agent decided to finally slow down and pulled off onto the grass.

Everyone got out and the hunter casually hopped off the roof. Then they all looked behind them at the large mushroom cloud that was slowly dissipating.

Wilson let out a low whistle at the magnitude the explosion left behind.

"I must say, things are always more fun when they go out with a bang." Air'ik declared.

Aurora couldn't help it and started laughing. Even Wilson couldn't hold in the small chuckle at the hunter's remark. While Robin just looked at them like they were all nuts.

"If that is your idea of a fun time, then count me out!" She quipped.

Aurora couldn't help but turn to her friend. She pulled off the mask again and connected it to her belt. Then she pulled Robin in for a hug.

"Thanks Robin, you're the best." She said.

The blonde furrow her brows at the statement.

"Thanks, but how?" She asked.

The petite brunette pulled back with a small chuckle.

"Because you helped us out a great deal, silly." Aurora explained.

She then turned to Wilson.

"I supposed I should thank you too. Turns out you're not as big a dick as I thought you were." Aurora joked.

A lop-sided smirk decorated the young man's face.

"Yeah, I get that a lot. Especially, from my brother." He joked back.

"What you both did was very brave back there. Thanks for acting as backup." Air'ik said.

"No problem. Sorry about all the shit you went through back there. But when you look at it, I'm glad you were there. Those serpents probably would've killed everyone and escaped if it hadn't had been for you. For that, we thank you." Wilson pointed out.

Air'ik shrugged, "You know I would've escaped eventually, even without your help."

"Well, I'm glad I'm on your good side at least." Wilson retorts.

"Hardly." The hunter said, trying to get the last word in.

"You guys done with the macho pissing contest? Because if so, we would like to get going." Aurora jabbed.

Robin just snorted and rolled her eyes.

"Yes, before I tossed the wrist computer, I activated the ship and moved it. I'd say it's about another couple miles from here. Wanted to make sure it was far enough from the blast zone." Air'ik stated.

"Ok, we'll give you guys a lift there." Wilson said.

The hunter grumbled a bit, not liking the fact that he'd have to ride on the roof again. He didn't understand why oomans had to make the doors on these vehicles so damn small.

"How about I run Aurora and myself there and you can meet us. The ship is not parked all that far from the road." Air'ik suggested.

"How would we know where to find you though?" Robin asks.

"I'll stand by the side of the road once we're there and flag you down." Aurora offered.

"Why can't you both stay, and he can just direct us there?" Wilson interjected.

Air'ik just gave him a funny look.

"Ooman, how in the hell can I give you directions if I'm hanging onto the roof like hood ornament? That was the most asinine suggestion I've heard you utter thus far." The hunter retorted.

Wilson opened his mouth to speak. But quickly shut it when he realized he did have a point.

"Ok fine. But I still doubt you could run faster than a vehicle." The agent stated.

"That's where the head start comes in." Air'ik said.

Then he quickly scooped up Aurora and started running down the side of the road with her.

The other two humans just stood there gaping at how incredibly fast the yautja was moving.

"I'll uhh, just give him five minutes. Then we'll get in the car and go." He said.

Until Next Time ;)
