The following three months after Calebs death brought more death and misery to Naboo, the most brutal conflict of the War stole two-hundred and ninety-seven Civilianists. Juno took Calebs death hard, she couldn't cope on Naboo so after two months Galen finally agreed to take her and Kento to Coruscant where they would be safe within the Jedi Temple. Galen returned to Naboo the day after and covered the houses windows with durasteel before changing the front, back and sidedoors to thick metal doors people still lived within it but Galen refused to live there without his family and so ask an ex-Imperial Marx Pajok to keep the house in order before he left with a hold-all full of his personal affects bound for the fifth Civilianist base on the planet.
Cali snooped efficiently through the databanks, she had easily sliced into the security feeds around Cye's control centre she watched every trooper, officer and special forces trooper who walked or marched past, she felt as though she had become as cold and as calculating as her mother but shook that off quickly a mans life was more important than her nature. A squadron of twenty unmarked soldiers/ troopers or whatever they were quickly gained on the room as soon as she accessed the Kalak prison logs, she searched for Jedi, any file or scrap of information on any Jedi on the planet, at first nothing happened, the unmarked men rushed past, Cali knew she didn't have long left to find the information and escape. Fourteen hits arrived on the monitor, she whittled it down easily, ten were collaborators according to the records, the other four however were accused of Jedism and placed on Kalak under armed guard by Palpatine, she looked at the names, 'Kiolan Moraz. Liam Jein, 'Kenobi' and subject 778194, she transferred all the files to her datapad before crashing the network with a virus she had bought from a bounty hunter named Solurk, to her surprise it worked, every monitor flashed bloodred before bright white and then shorted out, she hid the pad in her boot before she wiped the area with a solution that brought out DNA from years before and in the process ate and destroyed fresh DNA, she then flipped her grey armour plate over to reveal battle damage, scorch marks, dents and all, she put her helmet on, it was also damaged and held her blaster like a soldier as she left in a light but swift march. She could only hope that no one had connected her ship to the station.
"HALT!" Another grey armoured officer shouted at her.
Cali stopped stiff and brought her hand up into a salute.
"Where is your unit officer?"
"In the Hangar bay Sir." She replied pulling off the innocent soldier act.
"Unit number?"
"Sir, I do not have one."
"Special operations?"
"Yes Officer Knowles."
"And you are?"
"Officer Helinda Restoff."
"I haven't heard of a Restoff."
"I haven't done anything worthy of recognition sir."
"Nonsense! Every man and woman who serves the Empire has done something vital to our survival."
"I enlisted six weeks ago sir."
"Ah, six weeks? I did the list on that week."
"Six weeks tomorrow Sir."
"I did the whole week."
Galen lay on his bunk, shirtless as he traced the outlines of his scars, one, two, three, four, five, he continued on until he had reached the astonishing total of forty-seven. It had became a ritual for him, he would lay in bed and do so every night, before turning over and falling asleep, Target once caught him doing it and somehow managed to get Galen into the councillors office but Galen stormed out two minutes later shouting that he didn't need any help.
The next morning Galen dressed in his newer combat wear, it was still navy and white but the whole thing had been changed to be more resilient against the perils of war. The armour was thicker than KM squads and more durable than durasteel and Galen had on many a occasion used this when he purposely put himself in harms way to save someone, to help someone or to kill a foe, his behaviour became more and more erratic the longer he and Juno were apart, he needed her just as much as she needed him, close to Juno's due date Galen couldn't take it anymore, he couldn't fight without something worth protecting on a personal level, he needed a reminder of why he involved himself in the War and Target was to quick to sort that for him, a small unit of twelve Civilianists left Naboo that day after a major battle in Theed, the Imperials seemed to desire Theed just as much as the Rebel Clones did and Galen's unit took great pleasure in denying them what they desired. The ship of twelve men included Galen, Target and the few survivors from Omega Unit. Omega Unit were found six weeks after Calebs death, most of the men were dead except ten men, those ten refused to fight again and so were assigned to commissioning, the gathering of soldiers for the Civilianist Army.
"Galen, when we land five of us will escort you the remaining six will do the recruitment drive."
"Target I do not need an armed escort in order to see my family, Syen doesn't, I don't either."
"With all the respect due Sir, you control the entire army almost and the Imperials will seek you out to kill you, we would lose at least half of our number if you were assassinated."
"Target I'll do you a deal, you and Soxe can come, the rest of us will recruit."
"Sir, their are four Gungans with us including Soxe."
"Race means nothing Target, it is courage that counts."
"Aye."
"Soxe, tell the pilot to land next to that TIE fighter."
"Yesn Admiraln."
"Good, Forbes, you take Haaaran and Jokona and go to the old senate building, the rest of you file out and span 300 clicks."
"Yesn, Aye." The crew replied.
The ship landed and the two men and one Gungan disembarked before it took back off and headed for the senate building.
"Well c'mon boys, and Soxe?"
"Yesa Sirn?"
"Do not take offense if anyone says anything about your appearance, I do not want another incident like that fight you had in the mess with Forbes' Brother."
"Mesa will not uh takea no offencea."
"Good now c'mon I want to see my boy."
