Chapter 11, Disappearance.

Zuma would leave towards school a little later than the others, hoping to arrive between the ten minutes the school doors would open, and when the teacher would be expecting everyone to be inside. Zuma was extremely nervous, barely able to contain himself. Meanwhile Roscoe had met up with Bear and Jack.

'When are we leaving, I don't want to be to late for class, I'll be in real trouble if I miss another hour of class.' Roscoe said.

'Well young pup, be prepared for that, because I don't know how long this will take.' Bear said.

'I can't wait to see his face.' Jack said.

'Contain yourself Jack, you will have your moment.' Bear said.

'What are we talking about here?' Roscoe asked.

'A little birdie told us that the lab is going to school again today, we are not waiting until after school, we have waited enough days with that little brat not showing up.' Jack said.

'You mean Zuma.' Roscoe said, not wanting to argue with the two big dogs. 'He really wanted to come you know, but he was just busy with the fire.'

'He knew what he was doing.' Jack said.

'Quiet down dogs, I think he's coming.' Bear said.

Zuma walked past the houses, he came past the final house. Frightened, as he suddenly spotted the two dogs standing in front of him. He had thought about this moment for over a week now, but he still wasn't prepared for it.

Meanwhile at school Rocky sat in his class, as Maya opened the school day with some important info for the day. Two classmates behind Rocky were whispering to each other.

'Wasn't Zuma supposed to come to school today?' One whispered.

'Who knows anymore, it's not like he was paying attention anyways.' The other said.

Rocky looked behind him, showing the dogs his feelings about that conversation with just his expression.

'Nothing personal.' One of the pups said.

Rocky turned back to the teacher, but he knew the pups were right, where was Zuma?

Maya had finished talking and looked at the empty seat Zuma was supposed to be sitting, then looked at Rocky.

'Anything I need to know?' Maya asked.

'I really don't know.' Rocky replied, showing Maya he was concerned himself.

'I'll have a word.' Maya said. 'Alright class, good luck with your next lessons today!'

The school bell rang and the entire class got up to go to economics class, no one was excited to see there 74 year old teacher, who was somehow still able to be a teacher.

Maya decided to call Ryder, to make sure everything was alright.

'Hello, Ryder here.'

'Hello Ryder, just wanted to know if you are still planning to send Zuma to school.' Maya said.

'I did, is he not in class?' Ryder asked, becoming concerned immediately, scrolling through his pup pad while calling.

'No, I'm afraid not.' Maya replied, as concerned as the young boy.

'I'll see if I can find him by his location, I'll keep you updated.' Ryder said.

'Good idea.' Maya replied.
