Soul was currently lying on the couch in the common area, completely drained of, well, everything. Kid was still sitting in his room most likely laughing at his failed attempt to leave. He could march back upstairs and taunt the shinigami once more, but honestly, he was not in the mood to be mocked again. Or even pinned.
The male feels his face warm slightly in contrast with the chilly room. Kid did not have to be dramatic enough to throw him against the wall. He did it so smoothly with that stupid smirk, knowing that the weapon could not do a thing to him. It made Soul irritated at the thought and he turns onto his side while getting rid of the image. Truthfully, it only made him even more curious about Kid's true nature, that is if Soul and his friends have never seen it. Is there really more to the obsessive personality that Kid puts on?
"Gahh... I hate thinking this hard. Always puts me in a bad mood..." Soul murmurs to himself as his bright red eyes stare ahead at the TV, placed perfectly across from the couch.
"What did he say... something about the AC that isn't making this mansion cold..." he whispers, pressing a finger against his chin in thought. The student eventually sits up and hurries to the AC control panel across the room, shuddering as he made his way toward it. He leans down to get a closer look at the panel and notices that the screen was completely blank. There was no on/off button either, yet the green light indicated that the panel was indeed active and working. Soul presses a few buttons, even going as far as to pres several at a time, but nothing happened.
"Shit... don't tell me he was actually right," Soul grumbled. If that was the case, then he definitely has no clue. Although, there was something also off with Kid. The touch on his shoulder was absolutely freezing, like his body was a living corpse. Soul could almost laugh at the comparison if his situation was not as serious. Dull eyes, pale skin, freezing touches, heartless... No. Kid is not heartless. Soul was merely under the impression due to Kid not taking him seriously. It was obvious that Kid did not want to be taken seriously.
Soul's jaw firms as he made his way to the back. The knob was also solid stuck. He tries the windows in the kitchen and common area. All of them are sealed tight.
"I'm trapped here. He knew this. He definitely knew it and just let happen..." he says, leaning against the wall as he gradually slid down. "That prick wasn't worried about me getting sick from the rain. He just used it as an excuse to jail me in this piece of crap. That explains why he was so bipolar..."
He wraps his arms around his knees, resting his head atop them with a longing look. His heart picked up from the anxiety of not knowing how long he will be stuck in the manor with Kid. He certainly did not want to call for Maka or anyone else in risk of them also getting trapped. It would be nice to have company, however...
"Here."
Soul nearly jumped within his skin from the sudden voice. His head whips around to see Kid holding out a blanket for him.
"Oh, thanks..." Soul forces himself to say as he hesitantly took the comforter. It was also cold, but at least he could warm up in it later.
"You do not intend to sleep against the wall, do you?" asks Kid. Soul snorts.
"Looks like it's my best bet. Upstairs isn't any better," the weapon answers. "I do have a question."
"Save that for later, I am busy right now," Kid interrupts as he turns to leave. Soul, who was not in the mood to wait another hour for the shinigami's arrival, picks himself up and latches onto the back of Kid's dress shirt.
"You wanted me to be stuck here, didn't you?" Albeit it was a question, Soul had asked in such an accusing tone that it sounded more of a statement.
"I do not know what nonsense you are spouting, but I would rather you save it for when I can tolerate it," answers Kid.
"So I'm right. You don't acknowledge it, but you also didn't completely deny it. I'm right, aren't I?" Soul says, his grip becoming much tighter. Kid still did not bother to face him and it was slowly eating at his nerves.
"Believe what you want. I so not favor arguing over a matter so childish. I wanted to trap you here, when I would prefer everyone out of my sight?" Soul's breath hitches when Kid snatches his wrist to rip away from his dress shirt, still clenching onto the appendage tightly as he finally turns around. The weapon did his best not to give in and look away from the piercing gaze he was receiving from the shinigami, but it was beginning to prove difficult for him. Not again...
"You let me in," responds Soul. "I don't know if it's just some prank and that you do know how to open the door, but I know for certain that you... you..." his phrase had trailed off when Kid began to lean in closer. Whether it was from panic or nerves, his face became hot at the distance.
"Go on. You know for certain that I what?" Kid practically whispers.
His heart wracked against his chest. He had lost his train of thought. What did Kid want from him? That is not important as his curiosity for why the male was edging even closer...
"You..." Soul finally looks down while doing his best to pull away from Kid's death-like grip. Soul had lost and he knew Kid was aware of it as well. "Let go already, man. Forget it what I said."
"No, I want to hear what you have to say now," Kid replies without loosening his grip in regards to Soul's struggling. The weapon let's out a satirical chuckle.
"Too bad. Now you'll get to know how it feels to be confused. Stuck pondering on what the other person was trying to say," Soul says with his own smirk. Seeing Kid lose his posture for a moment had caused his triumphant expression to grow. He wanted the male to stand in his shoes, and perhaps that could give him a little more insight on how Soul felt being trapped like this.
"I see..." says Kid. The grip slackens and before Soul could test freeing himself, his waist was snatched. He lets out a sudden gasp from being pulled forward against Kid's torso.
"K-Kid!?" was Soul's outburst. He shivers from the contact ironically since his entire body was heating up.
"You are... mocking me, aren't you?" Kid says gently with a calculating look with his hands snaking around more. Soul jolts uncomfortably and grasps Kid's forearms.
"What are you doing? This is-"
"I don't want you to mock me."
Soul pauses and stares up at the paler male, just noticing his sincere expression. "Eh?"
"Don't. I want to be able to read you. To be able to predict your every move," Kid elaborates with furrowed brows whilst every word caused butterflies to attack Soul's stomach.
"Wh-Why?" Soul could only ask, nearly forgetting their position.
"It's perfect that way. It'll keep me... sane. No- don't mind that. Just don't make me think even more than I have to." Soul wanted to shake his head and continue to be defiant, yet once again Kid was able to just manipulate him so easily. That desperate look. The hesitance in his voice. Everything about him was just crying for help. May it be false or not, Soul finds himself nodding slowly.
Kid lets out a sigh after receiving the silent answer, but his arms continued to stay encircled around Soul's. "Good. Being difficult at a time like this is something I would not appreciate. So while you are here..."
"Ah, Kid... wait-" Soul quickly pushes against Kid's chest to halt him from leaning in any further. The weapon hated how he could feel his face stinging bashfully, but his inner voice was screaming at how wrong this was. This is not Kid. It can't be. To take advantage of this...
"Stop."
Soul swallows while shaking in Kid's hold as the meister overpowers him, allowing Kid to make his first mark.
