Entry #15:

Dragons, like harpies, nest. The materials used vary depending on the dragon's personality and preferences. They also build nests to impress potential mates, but I am not going to discuss that.

Note to self: Reminding Wild of that day works like a charm. However, use that only as a last resort to keep him in line. Otherwise, I might risk eating food worse than Sky or Hyrule's cooking.

Building a nest was a surefire method to soothe Wild during bad days. The Champion preferred thick blankets and pillows made from the softest Rito down as materials. However, these were not ideal to use in the great outdoors. So, the hero would often settle with his next favorite - Twilight's wolf form. The Rancher would not mind if his protégé did not treat him like a pillow and a blanket at his convenience.

"Wild, please." The Ordonian attempted to shake the said hero off him. He was thankful for clothes. Otherwise, he would be sporting nasty cuts from the dragon's scales and nails. "I have to go."

The Hero of the Wild only clung to him tighter. His tail wrapped around his mentor's leg as he was nearly dragged on the floor in the latter's attempt to reach the door. A few heroes tried to pry him off, but Wild hissed and screeched like a banshee until they gave up. The others simply walked away, not wanting to get involved this once. Everyone had left the younger werewolf to deal with his protégé alone. The traitors!

"Noooo!" The Champion protested. "It's cold, and you're warm!"

"We're at your home!" The Hero of Twilight exclaimed, gesturing wildly at their surroundings. "Hateno isn't that cold!"

"I'll set the hill on fire, Twi!"

"You did that the other day!"

"I'm not feeling well!"

"You're fine, and I'm not your - Tsk!" Twilight pinched the bridge of his nose. It was challenging to remember that the other man was technically still young in dragon years, despite his adult-like appearance. A low growl rumbled from his throat. "You know what, I'm getting Flora."

The dragon jolted at that. Alarm bells rang inside his head. Oh no! He would not! "NO! What the fuck?"

Got him. His mentor smirked. His eyes glinted teasingly. "Oh, yes. I will, Cub. If you want to get cozy with someone, I'm sure Her Highness wouldn't mind joining you." He placed a hand on his hip. "Don't think I didn't notice you tidying this place lately? Planning for a little date, hm?"

The Hero of the Wild was flushed to the ears. "You're never gonna let me live that down, aren't you?" He growled. "Nothing happened, okay? I just made a nest so she would be comfortable. I mean, we just defeated Calamity Ganon. Look! I wasn't thinking. I just kinda did it - HEY!"

"Uh-huh." The Rancher crossed his arms. "Sure. You want to comfort her, but that was after what? Three months? You've built her a nest many times before. That one was special."

"No, it's not!"

"Then, mind explaining the mating calls? I remembered the princess as red as you are now back then."

His protégé opened his mouth to retort but closed it. If he were to get any redder, he might get Legend's tunic beat. He let go of the other hero, climbed the loft, and fell face-first on the bed. A middle finger and a muffled Fuck off, man. had Ordonian laughing.

"I'll get Flora." The younger werewolf said as he opened the door. "Don't do anything weird while you're alone with her. Got it?"

"Goddesses -" There was a loud THUD! from the loft, and an embarrassed Wild hurried over the railing. "Shut up, and leave!"

"Yeah, yeah." His mentor waved and pulled the door behind him. "I'll leave it to you, loverboy."

"TWILIGHT!"
