Alex looked down at his ring, the light from Azure filled him with hope, tangible hope. It was… Beautiful to be honest and he could not understand what was going on now.
He looked at Jessica. A girl from another planet who also had a ring like his which was filled with willpower. He had been able to think, to act for now as he paused to try and figure out as she paused to think.
Alex had been interested in the next second, knowing what was growing on his chest before he sighed and then finally kicked off the wall.
"So, if your ring has fuel from the power of will? Does that mean you are always strong like this?" Alex stated before he sighed to himself before he seemed to be dealt with for now.
He sighed, knowing what was growing on his mind before he seemed to be dealing with it.
"No," Jessica said before she sighed. "I am not always strong. I am not always strong; I do not know what I will do or what will happen if I do not focus on it." Jessica stated.
She had been silent before now, knowing what was happening for now. She would act and she would allow nothing to get in the way of that for now, nothing could.
"You look pretty strong, you've been strong enough to help your friends, right?" Alex stated before he raised an eyebrow. "I'm pretty hopeful that your strong, I always try to be hopeful," Alex stated.
Alex only guessed what was going on, he only guessed that he could relax. He knew what the next move would be and he knew that there was more happening for now.
Jessica hummed, knowing that he was being nice for a reason. It was so odd that this world was welcoming to people who were scared and weaker than before.
Though, she guessed that she simply could relax about what was happening next before she relaxed to let it go.
She hummed, letting himself before he seemed to try and deal with it by thinking of it.
"You, ok? There are a lot of emotions in Remnant. There are a lot of things I cannot understand but these rings? I understand them a lot I think." Alex stated before he crossed his arms and then looked to the side.
This was going to be a very long and very taxing day now, as he sighed.
Alex held up his ring before he watched the burst of blue light which came from the top of it. There was a moment of peace which was something to try and deal with it for now as he clicked his fingers.
He seemed to be dealing with it for now as he clicked his fingers before she sighed to be dealing with it once more, she looked and tried to let it all end before she sighed.
She seemed to be thinking of it either damn way, he had zero actual ideas for now.
Hope and willpower were strong, stronger than anything. It was not something that she normally thought.
Green Lanterns had been an odd little thing at the end of the day, she thought of what was to happen when it came down to it.
She had been able to think, she had been able to relax… And she had been eager to try and figure out the limits of her power, and she had been able to relax.
She did not know what was going on and she did not much care as she followed Jaune while casting glance after glance at Alex who hummed and glanced around.
"So, there are 9 groups of lanterns? All 9?" Jaune asked before Jessica seemed to nod.
"Yes. Fear, rage, hope, compassion, greed, love… Death." Jessica said before she sighed.
She was too interested in the next move before she relaxed once more as she sighed, knowing what would become as she sighed, knowing what would become of it.
Jessica sighed, tired, exhausted, tired before long and she sighed. Alex hummed as he paused to look over to her as she sighed to let it all come crashing down on her.
She seemed to be amused more than exhausted, knowing what was going on before he thought of it as he paused to let it all come crashing down in a massive haze.
To be fair? She had little to no idea of what was going on, little to nothing when it came down to it, crashing down.
Alex hummed before holding up Azure, he had zero idea what was growing on his mind. His ring glowed blue as he sighed to himself, holding the ring up like it was a small light.
He smiled, knowing what was to come but hopeful for his future. He was too interested in what he was now and what he could do.
The enjoyment Jessica also brought to this world seemed to be more and more awkward. Still? She was interested in what was growing inside her.
She had been able to think of what to do next as she followed herself around the entire room. Did she know more and more now that because of her? There were a thousand different little lanterns on this ring.
She smiled and looked to the side, knowing just whatever was to have been done. It needed to be dealt with purely angered pain, it had to be relaxed either blasted way, and not once would that be done now.
She was too interested in the next plan she did to fix it for now as it all ended.
He sighed, knowing what was going on… He had zero desire to give in and allow it to end all for now, he had been so unable to a degree.
Alex looked at her, her stature belaying a great deal more willpower than he had hoped. He looked at his ring, glancing at it like a star in the immense drift of it all.
Alex was silent, guessing that she had something else building in her brain. She was tired, worn down, and beaten into the ground. It felt a lot more like a missile than anything else.
She turned, her jade eyes feeling more like a forest of grass than anything else. He could not let it all come to an end so easily and he knew it for now.
'This girl is something else, and so is her buddy… I do not just do not know what is going on, not now… But maybe Azure knows it.' Alex said.
Alex crossed his arms before he sighed, knowing what she could have done.
"Um… So, I am going to need training?" Alex asked.
Jaune paused and looked at Alex then his ring, he could see compassion glowing from his ring and he paused, too tired and exhausted to let it all come to an end.
The ring was like the one Jessica wore but he felt different… Like the compassion was a chain from which he controlled it.
"Yeah… She never talked a lot about how the ring works." Jaune asked before Jessica crossed her arms.
"I didn't think you would get a ring." Jessica said before she sighed." "I will ask my ring… The Indigo Trible and Blue Lanterns are friends of us…. So, the Guardians would know." Jessica said.
"Uh… Guardians?" Jaune asked.
"Their… The people who made my ring." Jessica stated before she shrugged. "Each of your rings is different… There are a lot of rules about the rings, I do not know how to explain it." Jessica stated.
She crossed her arms. There was some amusement on her mind, knowing what was to occur and knowing the best way to possibly tell them.
She was not wrong. Jessica was new to the corps; she was not new to the concept of being a superhero. Yet? intergalactic politics were beyond the scope of her logic.
Jessica held up her ring, activating the advanced AI within it. There was a roll of eyes worthy moment in her mind at the idea of not knowing what something was like but still wanting to help.
She had started to get used to her semblance either way. It had been nice to have friends here and nice to know what was going on.
"All Blue Lanterns are to contact me within 4 hours of their time zones… The first lesson is to be conducted through ring within standard time." Jessica heard as Azure dimmed before Alex looked at his ring in shock.
"Well, that explains a lot," Alex stated before he sighed to himself and crossed his arms, a frown across his face.
"Uh… You don't seem to be talking like the Indigo Tribe is good." Jaune said to which Alex hummed.
"I don't think she means they are… Emotions can be… Tricky? Weird? Odd? I don't know the right word." Alex stated.
"Convoluted," Azure said as Alex nodded.
"Yeah, convoluted," Alex stated before he sighed and then looked to the side. "Very convoluted at the moment," Alex stated before he sighed.
"Well, they can't be THAT bad… Can they?" Jaune asked.
"Indigo Lanterns. Wanted by Green Lantern Corps previously for forced capture of several level omega inmates." Azure said.
"I'm going to say yes…" Alex said before he frowned at himself.
"Indigo Lanterns used to force people to join them against their will and even brainwashed a few… You? You are either a very crappy criminal or they didn't feel the time to background check." John said as Jessica sighed.
"They aren't THAT bad now, remember? Teammates?" Jessica asked.
"Brainwashing ain't THAT bad?" John joked as Jessica stomped her foot.
"Way to be supportive, John," Jessica stated.
"What about Hope? Hope can be good and it can be bad, there sounds like a few bad lanterns and a few good ones," Alex stated.
"There are bad and good lanterns for every group, kid. It's just most are Yellow… Fear is pretty dangerous." John said.
"I think I like to hope more than compassion. Hope is a rare thing on Remnant." Alex said as he smiled.
It was then the three lanterns looked at Jessica who was wide-eyed, looking all over the place.
"What?" Jessica asked.
"You don't know Atlas, do you?" Jaune asked.
"N-No," Jessica said.
"Gonna guess Mistral either?" Alex asked as she shook her head. "Why don't I show John around Mistral? If you want. I kinda need to tell my family I am helping do… This." Alex stated.
"Sure, I am busy talking to Diana… She and Vixen went to Mistral." John said.
"Uh?" Alex said only for Jaune to speak.
"One is a Faunus, the other is a girl with a sword," Jaune said.
"Got it, was nice meeting you, Jaune, and Jessica. I guess I will come back when I figure out how this ring works." Alex said with a blink. "Azure, can you take me to Mistral?" Alex asked.
"I can return you to your home, yes." Alex heard.
"I'll teach you how the ring works and you show me around, sound good?" John asked.
"Sounds good," Alex said while he watched the green light surge and cover him. "I am never going to get used to this," Alex said as John chuckled.
"You two have fun." John joked before he paused and then looked over toward them as he and Alex left.
Jessica rolled her eyes, knowing what was happening for now as it came down to it. She sighed but knew that her teacher would end up being too busy to deal with anything.
That? And as the leader of the Green Lanterns for the moment? She knew that he would continue to be an issue up to the end of it for the time being and an ending proud of it.
There was just too much, far too much to have been dealing with it primly and properly. They had to end it either way, knowing what would happen next if it was not properly dealt with for now as he sighed with annoyance.
To be honest? She had no desire to handle it here or then, only knowing that it would be next to impossible to deal with it for good reason, knowing what was going on and went, she had zero desire to end it.
"Is he your boss?" Jaune asked.
"Kinda," Jessica stated. "He's kinda the boss of the lanterns right now," Jessica said to which she paused.
"So, he's like the guy who tells you what to do now?" Jaune asked in a way that made Jessica sigh.
She was not interested in what was coming and she knew that there were a lot of things to explain, knowing what was going on at his moment.
(With Jaune and Alex)
Alex sighed, watching as the ocean instantly turned to grass. The ring made flying from one landmass to another child's play… Was this how powerful a lantern could have been? Because he had a thousand questions if it was.
"Scared, kid? Most are with their first ring, do not usually act this cheery." Alex heard.
"I'm taking it all in… John?" Alex stated, his voice a hoarse whisper.
"John," John stated.
"Alex," Alex stated before he sighed. "Is it true what she said about you guys?" Alex asked before raising an eyebrow.
"About us being from another world?" John asked to which there was a nod.
"Yes," Alex stated.
"Yeah, kid… We ain't from around here. She was the one who asked we come here for real." John stated.
"Then that's a new thing," Alex said, slowly landing. "I have been a Huntsmen for a year… Now I get turned into some sort of fairy tale legend." Alex said.
"I'm going to take a wild guess and say a lot of stuff here runs on magic," John said.
"Kinda," Alex responded. "Kinda, yeah. Dust and magic." Alex stated before he frowned.
Alex watched as John turned off his ring and floated down to the ground in a way that looked so natural compared to him who simply floundered with it despite letting the ring do all the heavy lifting.
"Your ring runs entirely on hope. All the hope in you is in your ring and making it strong… Your hope also juices up our rings which is why mine is glowing like a bomb." John explained.
"So, like a battery," Alex said.
"Yes," John said. "Now… Mind telling me what a Huntsmen is? I do not know a damn thing about this world besides there are magic and fear-eating monsters which would make this place sound like Yellow Lantern food." He heard from John.
It was worth a few seconds of silence, worth something that bothered him to no real end.
He would not have allowed it either as he sighed, not wanting it to be dealing with it now and for good reason at the end of the day, a very good reason?
There was something else on the edge of his mind, knowing what would become of it all was harder and harder to deal with either way.
This was no different than what he had dealt with, which had been for life. It was only somewhat different that he could relax, for now, knowing what was going on was enough.
Alex simply rested against a tree, relaxing to the end, knowing the chaos was enough to have been dealing with it now… He paused to let it all sink in as the Blue Lantern looked at him.
"I know you're a good person," Alex said before he cleared his throat. "If you were not? You would not have explained so much… But the part about being from another world? That is… Weird." Alex said.
"Yeah, I'm still getting used to it," John said as Alex hummed, pausing only for a moment to know what is going on at the end of the day.
He was relaxed only for good reason; it was hard enough to have been dealing with for now.
"Well, I think we all kinda are," Alex said, holding up his ring as he did so. "That is how life works… There will be a lot of things that we need to figure out." Alex said, holding his ring up.
"How old are you?" Alex heard as he raised an eyebrow, thinking of it to the end.
He was tired, knowing what was going on and not at all wanting it to end, there was something else on his mind, part of life.
There was not anything he could not have dealt with for now, knowing what it was like for now.
"17," Alex stated before he sighed, pausing to think for now. "What about you, John? How old are you?" Alex asked before he sighed, rubbing his mind.
He had no desire to know, his interest in it all before now was odder and odder. Alex looked at his ring, guessing that it only added to his ability to fight.
"Don't know," John said.
"Well, to be entirely fair? Neither do I," Alex stated.
"Very funny, kid." Alex heard. "I am old enough to be a soldier where I come from…. I am a soldier at the end of the day, that should tell you enough." Alex heard.
"Does, your older than me… And I am going to guess that also means." Alex stated before he sighed as he looked to the side.
Alex looked to the side, pausing to think of it at the end of the day.
He thought of his next move, he could have been relaxing for now. He clicked his fingers before he seemed to relax, knowing what was growing on his mind before it was all said and done.
Perhaps it would be enough for him to understand. Alex was tired, thinking of what was happening next as he clicked his fingers.
He sighed, humming to himself before he relaxed to himself before he sighed to himself with annoyance at the end.
There was a moment of weakness, a moment he would not soon regret for now. He had no desire to let it come to an end.
Alex was interested only in his ability to relax, knowing what was becoming of it sooner or later… He had been able to try and figure it all out for now.
He was tired, knowing what had been done with for now. He was not able to deal with it for now and until he ended in a wave nobody could admit.
There was more to this now, knowing what was going on. He had been dealt a grievous blow now before now.
He seemed to be relaxed, knowing what was perhaps what would be dealt with for now… He had been able to try and figure it all out for now as he paused to relax.
He seemed to be dealing with it for now as he thought of what was happening.
"I want to point out? Soldier or not? You are not going to last long fighting Grimm bare-handed; it is why I… Have weapons if you would like one." Alex stated before he paused to himself.
He was too interested, too relaxed for someone who had not seen combat, but he had seen combat either way.
Alex seemed to be dealing with it for now. He seemed to be dealing with it as he clicked his fingers.
Alex was silent, knowing what was happening next. He would not let it come be able to relax, for now, all such ideals were growing on his mind as he paused.
'He is a soldier; he thinks of being one at least… But he does not know a damn thing about Remnant, does he?' Alex thought before he sighed to himself.
Alex would be able to think of it oddly but he still had questions. Who was this man and who was Jessica? He could at least get the answer of who the Blue Lanterns were from Azure since it was clear what would occur.
The two lanterns looked at each other, he could only let it end when he wished to.
"Blue Lanterns are more guardians than police, kid." Alex heard.
"So, you're a police officer?" Alex asked. "Last I checked? Soldiers kill people, they do not arrest them." Alex stated.
"Well, Lanterns usually are not kids where I come from but you seem to be holding up pretty well." John stayed silent after saying this.
He only got some amusement on his face; this kid was something else either it would carve him to pieces or it would not but he would be able to relax.
He sighed to himself, sighed knowing what was growing for now and growing at the end of now as he paused to let it all go for now as he paced himself in droves that he could not let himself.
He had to end it, he had to let it die or else he would never at all be able to forgive himself.
Still, questions remained and he wanted answers if for no other reason than because he had to understand what had happened now, not knowing what had become of it either way… He was tired and he had become far snarkier than he had much right to have been.
He did not even know what was going on, not at all. There were worse options than this and it was harder and harder to try and figure it all out now, wanting it to be dealt with for now and for good reason…
Such logic was life and life seemed far beyond it now. Alex hummed before he was able to find some solace in it.
John could guess this kid was trying to relax for now as he clicked his fingers and then looked down at the ground.
Part of him wondered who the kid was and guessed he was honestly some sort of warrior and part of him wondered what was going on better than anyone else.
Alex closed his eyes and slipped his ring off his finger for the moment, he clicked his fingers and then looked off to the side before now.
All his body ached to help people as he clicked a finger before now… Guessing what would happen next, he would not be able to change that.
But he could change things for the better.
