I'm back with the update for King of the Monsters. Now without further ado let's see if our heroes can keep Japan from becoming leveled by our two kaiju combatants. Enjoy the story and always I appreciate the views.
I do not own any of the characters in this fanfiction. All the monsters are property of Toho and the Kim Possible characters are property of Disney. I do however own Destiny Go and Tiara Josephine Lockheart. Jacob Matthews belongs to Raptorhunter18.
Ch. 9 Kaiju Combat
Anguirus released a loud bellow as the other kaiju slowly started to advance towards him. Kim, Ron and Yori pulled back further into the alleyway, they tried to keep their footing as the creature walked by. The creature let out another high pitched whine and followed it with a loud bark. Anguirus challenged the creature with another roar of his own. Wasting no time Anguirus charged forward.
Soldiers clamored to get out of the way. Trucks, jeeps and tanks went in full reverse as Anguirus came stampeding down the street. The two kaiju collided with the other with Anguirus causing his opponent to crash into the building it.
Yori watched with wide eyes as Anguirus pushed the kaiju into a building, causing the structure to topple on top of both kaiju. She recognized the monster from somewhere but she couldn't place her finger on it. She instead focused on getting the child in her arms to safety. She was pulled along by Ron as he followed Kim.
"Kim don't you think we're close enough?" Ron asked panic rising in his voice.
"I need to get a good shot. I don't want to mess up what might be our only chance because I thought I was close enough." She told him. The red head looked back and seen the concerned look on his face. She also took note of the kid Yori was holding.
"You guys stay here. I'm the only one that needs to go."
"Kim are you crazy? You'll be killed." Ron told her.
"Well somebody has to stay and make sure Yori and the kid are ok? The last thing that needs to happen is for the child to get hurt."
"I understand KP but."
"But nothing. Remember our training, use it to keep them and yourself safe."
Ron nodded and both he and Yori watched as the red head dashed off towards the direction of the dueling kaiju. Ron turned to face Yori and quickly seen that a trail of blood coming from her forehead. Thinking quickly he ripped his sleeve and walked over to Yori.
His eyes were locked on hers which studied him thoroughly. Ron felt like he should proceed with caution. Though he brushed that off with his own personal feelings for the woman. He cleaned the cut she received from the glass on the bus. He then wrapped the red cloth around her forehead.
"There that wasn't too bad." Ron said with a smile, though the comment was more for himself than it was for Yori. "How's the kid? He's not hurt is he?"
Yori looked the child over. There was some scratches but nothing too life threatening. She looked up to Ron and nodded letting him know the child was ok.
"Ok we need to regroup with the others. They'll be able to handle the kid and more importantly he'll be safe. Then you can get looked at by a doctor, to make sure you're ok too." The blond said.
Yori wasn't sure what to make of Ron. From what she's seen Ron didn't strike her as soldier material. He has proven himself to be rather clumsy on the training grounds and she heard his grades were not up to par. However she once heard Jacob say that grades don't make the soldier, determination does and according him Ron has determination.
Ron noticed that Yori glanced in the direction of Anguirus as its battle pushed further away from them. Her attention focused back to him.
"I'm worried about KP. But she said to get you and the kid to safety. Still I don't like the feeling of just rushing off and leaving her. What should I do?"
Yori was surprised that Ron was asking her for guidance hoping she could give him an answer. However as far as she was concerned she was the last person he should be asking on what do next. The last order she gave got her squad killed. She looked away from Ron, her eyes now full of guilt as she recalled seeing her friends die.

Kim ran down the streets behind the kaiju. Currently Anguirus had the upper hand as he pushed his opponent back. That didn't last long as the other kaiju bit into Anguirus' right leg. Blood gushed out as Anguirus roared in pain. Anguirus reared up on his hind legs but his opponent countered and lunged forward stabbing Anguirus with his horn.
Anguirus roared out again and lashed out with his club tail striking his opponent. The kaiju backed off as it howled in pain. Kim ran into the building to avoid being stepped on by the kaiju it backed away from Anguirus. It suffered a crippling blow to its left shoulder blade.
Kim made it to the roof of the building her attention turning to Anguirus as it roared out. Kim watched as Anguirus charged forward and midway into his charge he curled into a ball and began rolling towards his opponent. Within seconds Anguirus crashed into his opponent knocking him backwards into the building.
The building shook violently throwing Kim off her feet. Kim counted herself lucky that impact wasn't strong enough to cause the building to collapse inward on itself. Getting to her feet as quickly as possible Kim could see that Anguirus was moving towards her direction. She raised her left hand revealing a flat silver disc. She was about to throw the small disc when she doubted that she would hit her target.
Knowing she only had one shot she opted for a better angle. Quickly running down three flights of stairs coming to a stop on the eighth floor she turned to see the two kaiju wrestling this time Anguirus' back was facing the building. Kim smiled this was the chance she was looking for. She quickly sprinted towards the window with the disc in hand. She pressed the center of the disc in with her thumb and center began flicker on and off with a blue light.
She threw the disc and as it flew towards its target several sharp and thin spikes protruded from the disc and stuck into skin of Anguirus towards the base of his tail. Kim smiled again and quickly pulled out her Kimmunicator.
"Wade it worked, Anguirus is tagged."
"Good, now get out of there." Wade told her.
Kim nodded and disconnected the call. Kim looked up when Anguirus roared out in pain. Her eyes widened as Anguirus' lower back crashed into the building and Kim fell backwards. She gasped as she gazed upon Anguirus' spikes just mere inches away from her. Anguirus pushed his opponent away from him and spun around landing a crushing blow to his opponent's chest with his clubbed tail, toppling the smaller kaiju.
Kim watched as the two kaiju pushed farther away from the building. Kim slowly began to stand up when she heard the sound of the floor cracking. She looked down to see the floor had become unstable as cracks began to quickly spread across the room.
Before she could act however half of the room gave way to the instability and collapsed towards the outside and into the streets threatening to take Kim with it. She screamed out as she felt gravity begin to take her. Her descent came to an immediate stop and she looked up to see a soldier holding on to her arm. She was looking up at Jacob who was least than pleased at her choice to directly disobey an order.
"What the hell were you thinking?" Jacob asked her. Kim looked behind her and saw Ron and Yori standing behind her.
"I needed to place a tracker on Anguirus." Kim admitted.
"While almost getting yourself killed in the process."
"I had it under control." Kim said with a huff.
"Yeah? Because from where I'm standing it looked like you were falling to your death." Jacob argued.
Jacob didn't have time to argue he needed to get back to Destiny. He was worried about her condition. He ordered for the others to follow him. They quickly reached the first floor of the build and upon doing so the battle between the two kaiju was about to resume. That was until Anguirus decided to end it.
Rearing up on his hind legs Anguirus growled before inhaling deeply. Anguirus unleashed a powerful sonic roar. Glass shattered around Kim and the others as the sonic waves traveled through them. They covered their ears and Ron fell to his knees feeling nauseous and vomited a few seconds later.
They effect could be felt by those in a two mile radius. Shego was hunched against a wall inside a building using the wall as a crutch. She gritted her teeth as she clutched her bleeding ears. Hego stumbled about amongst the other soldiers that were being barraged by the roar.
Even the kaiju found itself unable to defend itself properly as the waves of sound barraged the kaiju's large ears. The kaiju shook its head as it stumbled backwards and slammed into a building. Shaking its head again freeing it from the debris something fell from the kaiju's ear. The object didn't go unnoticed by Kim before the red head dropped to her knees.
Anguirus ceased the attack seconds later, granting relief to all soldier and kaiju alike. Anguirus studied his opponent and watch as the kaiju gained its bearings. Once its eyes refocused on Anguirus the kaiju released a short roar. Anguirus bellowed back to which the other kaiju responded with a bark.
Anguirus snorted and watched as the shorter kaiju began to dig into the street as it burrowed into the ground. Once it disappeared underground Anguirus roared out and began heading east back towards the Pacific Ocean.
"It's leaving." Jacob said as he stood back up.
"What!?" Ron said still not being able to hear clearly do to the ringing in his ears.
"We got to check on the others. That's our first priority right?"
Jacob nodded letting Kim know she was correct. He helped Kim to her feet and checked on Yori and Ron.
"Isn't kind of weird that they stopped fighting and left? Did they get bored and go home?" The blond asked.
Jacob shrugged. "Welcome to the army Stoppable, you're bound to see a whole lot of weird shit no one can explain."
"Actually if my eyes weren't playing tricks on me, I sworn I saw something fall from the kaiju's ear."
"You sure it wasn't just some shards of glass KP?" Ron asked her.
"Maybe, but I want to check it out." She said.
"Oh no, you've done enough of that. I want you two to stay put." Jacob told them. His attention then shifted to Yori. "I know you don't like to play babysitter, but can you keep an eye on them until I return with Destiny?"
Yori nodded letting Jacob know she accepted her task. He left but not before radioing in and telling the other soldiers of where their rendezvous point is. Kim and Ron sat allowing their tired bodies to rest. Ron found himself glancing at Yori. Seeing that Kim was preoccupied with her thoughts he walked over to her and kneeled down so they could be at eye level.
"How's your head?" Ron asked her.
Yori looked at him. Her mouth not moving in the slightest. Ron thought that Your was gorgeous even though she was sporting some cuts and bruises. There was something he considered about the Asian woman. After all his time spent at the GJSDF and never hearing her speak, he wondered what harmonic voice would part from such lovely lips.
He offered Yori a smile and Yori found herself perplexed by Ron. At the base the blond had one of the lowest scores and was always the laughing stock whether or not he was trying to make others laugh or not, but here on the field she was looking at someone different. Maybe she missed something but before she could ponder on her thought any further she was blinded by the headlights of several vehicles pulling up.
She could only guess that they belonged to the remaining Japanese Self Defense soldiers.
"We should be chasing after the kaiju. If we let it go, it'll just come back stronger." A voice said.
"Shut up Du. You sound like a nagging wife." Another familiar voice added in.
"You should talk, when's the last time you've been on a date?" Will retorted.
"Least I can get one. When was the last time you got laid? Can you even remember the last time you were inside of a woman? Oh and by the way your momma don't count." Shego said as she and Du entered the building alongside Hego and the other soldiers as well as the child Ron and Yori had left in their care.
"Possible?" Shego said as she craned her eyebrow. "What the hell are you two doing here?"
"Disobeying orders obviously." Will said.
Shego sighed. "Destiny is going to flip her shit." She mumbled.
Sure enough as on queue with the raven haired woman's words Jacob and Destiny returned.
"Destiny is going to what now?" She said walking in. She was using Jacob as a crutch to walk.
Her eyes widened when she saw Kim and Ron sitting before her. Her brows furrowed and the look in her eyes hardened.
"Outside, now!" She told Kim.
"Are you ok to walk on your own?" Jacob asked.
"I'll manage." Destiny said as she followed Kim outside.
Kim came to a stop when Destiny cut her off. Kim looked the older woman in her eyes, not intimidated by the stare she was receiving.
"Give me one good reason I shouldn't report you right now." Destiny told her arms folded as she leaned against a jeep.
"I had a plan Destiny."
"Oh did you now? Did that plan involve getting you and your friend killed?" She asked.
"All I had to do was tag Anguirus. I did that Destiny."
"But do you realize the cost? You or somebody else could have been seriously injured Kim. Tell me what was so important that you had to disobey my orders."
"Well for a while now I've been pondering on the thought of where the kaiju are coming from. I mean they can't just be popping up out of nowhere right?"
"They do a good job of making it seem that way." Destiny said with a huff.
"Well my friend Wade, made a device to track the kaiju. It can reveal that location." Kim said.
"How do you even know that Anguirus is heading home?" Destiny asked using her fingers to emphasize on the word home. "What if it decides to hit another city?"
"We don't but at least we can actively track Anguirus." Kim offered.
"For how long?" Destiny asked her.
"Seventy-two hours." The red head replied.
Destiny sighed. "I'm too tired to deal with this. We'll call Betty tomorrow and see if we should follow after Anguirus."
"You're not going to report me?"
"Not as long as you understand that we all are a team, don't ever bite off more than you can chew."
Kim nodded with a small smile and they returned inside to the others.

They returned to the JSDF base. They were about half as many injured as there were dead, which then made Kim hoped that they could find out where kaiju came from and maybe they could coordinate around that.
Destiny had returned to her room, Jacob had suggested that she go see the director but she swore that she was ok. After all it wasn't the first time she's felt exhausted after flaring up, though she admitted that she was never as tired as she had been earlier. She surmised that it was because unlike her brothers she herself never had any reasons to flare up her body, seeing as she did not possess any extra abilities like her brothers and sister.
As she pushed through the door to her room she found that somebody was there waiting for her and that somebody wasn't Jacob.
"Yori?" Destiny said. "You need something?"
Yori nodded her back was turned to Destiny and unlike Destiny she was still wearing her uniform from earlier tonight.
"2007, the incident you were referring too. It was the incident in Hokkaido wasn't it?" Yori asked as she turned to face Destiny. "Tell me everything you know about that day."
Well guys that's the end of this chapter which is admittedly shorter than what I usually write. But I still hoped you enjoyed it and Holy Sh*t guys Yori spoke! I bet you guys thought she was mute lol. Maybe for some it didn't come as a surprise since it was confirmed that Yori only spoke to Destiny. Anywho I'll see you all in the next update for LBHDA.
