Danny walks back downstairs, still trying to understand what happened. First, he kissed Sonata. Then Sam kissed him! Danny could feel something with those kisses. Sonata's was lovely, soft, and sweet. Sam's kiss was also sweet but didn't feel soft or lovely. Almost as if her kiss was forced onto him. He walks into the living room, not seeing Aria sitting on the couch.
"Hey." She said, making him look up.
"Huh? Oh! Hey." Danny said, seeing her.
"What the matter?" Aria asked, noticing the look on his face.
Danny sighs before sitting down.
"Sonata kissed me," Danny said.
"I heard," Aria said.
She was having a bit of trouble believing it herself. However, she did notices how both Sam and Adagio acted when they saw it. She was planning on talking with them later.
"Aria, I know you might not be the best person to ask about this, but does Sonata..." Danny started.
"No." She said, already knowing the question.
"You're the first guy that she's ever shown interest in." She added.
"Okay. Then what about..." Danny started again.
"Sonata has never been on a date. Adagio never seems to care about anything besides our power." Aria said.
Danny raised an eyebrow. Power? Why would Adagio care about power?
"Look, I don't care if you like my sister. She has said a few things that made sense to me. If she wants to spend her life with you, then go ahead." She said, surprising Danny again.
"Um," Danny said.
"YOU MEAN IT?!"
Both Danny and Aria jumped when Sonata appeared over the couch, looking very happy.
"Yeah," Aria said, recovering faster than Danny.
"THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU!" Sonata shouted, hugging Aria.
"Um, Sonata, where's your wheelchair?" Danny asked, seeing that was standing on her own two feet.
"Huh?" She asked, seeing she was out of her wheelchair.
Sonata decided to test something. She started to walk around the room, feeling her legs were back to full strength!
"I can walk again!" She cheers.
"Good for you," Aria said, rolling her eyes.
"So, Danny? Do you want to go out on a date?" Sonata asked, getting close to him.
"Um, not right now. I...need some more time to think about this." Danny said, looking away.
"Am I moving too fast?" Sonata asked.
"Well, it's just that, well, Sam kissed me as well," Danny said, shocking the two.
"She did?" Sonata asked, looking a bit broken.
"She also told me that Sonata wasn't the one for me," Danny added.
"Both sirens looked shocked before Aria sighs.
"Listen, Danny, that shouldn't matter. It's your choice, not Sam's." She said.
"Aria?" Sonata asked, surprised.
"From what I learned, Sam is trying to make you choose. And she wants you to choose her over Sonata." Aria added.
Danny looks down, thinking about it. Yes, there was the thing that the Ghost Gator told him, but as far as he know, Sonata and Aria haven't acted like that. It was a bit hard to know if Adagio was, seeing how she didn't react to him or his friends that much.
"Alright. Sonata? Will you like to try this weekend?" Danny said before asking the siren.
"S-Sure!" Sonata said, surprised.
Aria smiles a bit before getting up.
"Aira? Where are you going?" Sonata asked.
"I have something I want to take care of. So do whatever you want to your new colt...I mean, boyfriend." She said, walking away.
"Is she always like that?" Danny asked Sonata.
"Most of the time." Sonata nodded.
Aria walked upstairs, looking for Sam. While Sam was great to get along with, she didn't like how Sam was trying to force Danny into choosing her. It was time to set the record straight.
"Sam." She said, spotting the goth in the hall.
"Aria?" She said, surprised.
"What brings you here?" Sam asked.
"I came to tell you that Sonata asked Danny out on a date. And he said yes." Aria said, seeing Sam being shocked at the news.
"What?!" Sam almost shouted.
"He told us about what you did and said to him. You have no right in saying that Sonata isn't the one for him. That's HIS choice! NOT yours!" Aria told her.
Sam glares at her. Not believing Danny would choose Sonata over her.
"Then what about your secret?" Sam asked, confusing her.
"Secret?" Aria asked.
"The ghosts are coming after you and the others because you're not human. They know something is different about you and want you to leave." Sam said.
Aria looks down. The Ghost Gator already knew what she and her family were. But since their say on this earth, Aria found herself being more like herself without Adagio trying to take the lead every five seconds. And with Sonata pointing out Adagio's mistakes, and how she wants to find her singing voice on her own made her think that it's time to start living how she wanted.
"I have no means of harming anyone. We did that enough times, and I want to live how I want." Aria said, shocking Sam.
"What?" Sam asked, surprised.
"As for our secret? That will be up to us. And with Sonata dating Danny, she will have to tell him at some point. But, then there's you." Aria told her before glaring.
"Just because I act like I don't care, doesn't mean I don't care about Sonata! She's annoying, forgetful, and just hard to be around. HOWEVER, She's my sister and I have to watch over her. I know Danny isn't going to hurt her or anything. They get along very well, from what Sonata tells me. So what if the ghosts are trying to drive us away? We have no idea how to get back! We're stuck here!" Aria told her.
"Stuck...here?" Sam asked, confused.
Aria rolled her eyes. She wasn't going to try and explain that.
"Get over it, Sam. You can't make Danny choose you. He was kind enough to offer us to stay here until our apartment is fixed. If things work out between them, well, good for them. If Danny makes Sonata happy, then that's fine with me. It's Danny's choice and YOU need to respect it." She added before walking away.
Sam just watch her before growling. Tucker was actually in another room, having heard everything. Noticing the look on Sam's face, he sighs and shook his head. If this keeps up, secret or not, then Sam is going to do something she regrets. And Tucker had a feeling that Danny will not like it. He pulled out his PDA and send a text to Danny, warning him about Sam.
Sonata walked around the home, unknowingly humming to herself. Danny wanted to try going on a date with her! And Aria was fine with it! She was so happy she wanted to burst out in song!
"Sonata."
She started to open her mouth when she heard Adagio speak up.
"Adagio! Did you hear? Danny wants to go on a date with me!" She asked, not seeing her fellow Siren glare.
"Sonata! Enough. I will not stay bad and let you ruin our hard work." Adagio said.
"What hard work?" Sonata asked, confused.
"I didn't forget what you said back at the apartment, nor what you said after you kiss Danny," Adagio said, standing up.
"And you're going to stop this nonsense and listen to me." She added.
"NONSENSE?! For crying out loud, Adagio! This isn't nonsense! Our moms fell in love before! Why can't you accept that I did as well?" Sonata asked, groaning.
"Because he's not worth our time," Adagio said.
"Oh yeah? What about when the Ghost attacked, and I call him for help? Or what about how when our apartment was trashed by the ghosts and Danny offered us to stay here? How about when I was unable to walk for three days and he helped me get around the house for a while? Is that wasting our time?" Sonata asked her.
"Sonata, I will not say it again..." Adagio started.
"And I will say it again! I LOVE DANNY! It's bad enough Sam is trying to force him into choosing her, but I don't need you doing the same! GET OVER IT! It's not all about power! It's what the heart wants!" Sonata yelled.
Adagio looked ready to argue, but Sonata cut her off before she could.
"And I plan on telling Danny the truth about myself. The ghosts are after us because of what we are. But none of them knows who we are! Danny got to know who I was during our time together. Maybe if you did the same, you would see he's not a waste of time!" She said before walking away.
"Sonata!" Adagio shouted, but the blue siren didn't turn back.
Sonata was tired of this. She finally found someone that made her happy and everyone was taking to keep that from her! Plus, if this turns out to be more than what she hopes for, she should tell Danny the truth about herself. He has the right to know, after all.
And looks which story is back! I know you guys/girls have been waiting for this since 2022/early 2023. I decided that it's been held off long enough. So, Danny talks to Aria about Sonata and Aria doesn't mind if Danny dates her sister. However, Aria spoke to Sam and called her out on her action. But Sam is still stubborn, and Tucker wasn't going to go along with her plans anymore.
Sadly, Adagio still didn't give up on her quest to recover her lost power and still thinks that Sonata is wasting her time. It might sound like Sam and Adagio will work together to stop Danny's and Sonata's relationship, but they won't. And yes, Sonata will tell Danny the whole told about herself and the other during their date. However, I'm going to wait for a few more chapters before that. I'll cover a few more things before getting there.
