"So, just how many chores will be added to my night for being late this time?" She laughed, sheathing the last of her daggers as she stepped out of the door to her bedroom.

now doning her scouting attire as she adjusted her hood over her braids. Going down the stairs and turning into the living area, Runi sat playing with his own weapons, feet on the table. She made a mental note to use that against him should she need a favor, him and her brother always fought over that when he was present. The laughter cooled from her eyes when she noticed the speck of worry in his own dark ones. "We won't be having any chores tonight, it seems. Let's head out."

He locked her arm in his own and ushered her out the door. She had to jog to keep with his pace. "Is it that bad, ruins?"

"I don't know, they wouldn't tell me anything."

She could only sigh with a nod. It was that kind of mood then. They kept silent throughout the many halls until the large wooden doors slammed behind them within the training area. A few kingdom guards turning their heads and mumbling amongst themselves at the sight of the youngest scouts. Some bowing their heads in greeting, and a small few only glared in their directions. Weather it be because of how young they were, that she was a woman, or that they didn't like how scouts were treated with favor, they didn't know, but either way, it was quick to dismiss. With a bow in turn to the ones who did it, they quickly walked down the path through the many dirt arenas to the far end of the gigantic room. The rambling getting louder as they reached the metal gate that led to the more advanced training rooms, the restricted area, essentially. That only scouts or higher could enter.

"The lads a runt, dunno how he'd survive a battle with a hobbit." One of the men barked louder. With a huff, She was about to turn to the loud gossips behind her when Runi grabbed her arm. "we have arrived, Kodur." He half-shouted, to make sure the others could hear over the chatter. The gate opened to reveal the co-commander with a nod. "Welcome back, lads." He smiled, giving a side eye to the dwarf behind the young pair. Who immediately looked anywhere but the scouts. "Ya' could probably take him with your hands behind your back and one eye closed. All bark no bite, I'll remember that one." He grumbled, ushering them in the gate and slamming it closed. The scouts just behind the gate, clearly listening in, chuckled loudly. Patting them on the back good naturally and running off before they got scolded.

Runi absentmindedly played with his scout bead, when green eyes noticed with displeasure she shooed his hand away, fixing a bit of his always messy hair. "You earned your bead, let them chat idly brother. While you were out keeping Erebor safe, they were gossiping next to a post somewhere with an ale in hand." She tsked.

He gave her a half smile, nodding, it turning into a full blown grin as she got smacked upside the head. Her mouth gaping like a fish as she turned to glare at the offender, meeting stilly eyes of Dwalin. "Yer late." She widened her eyes, only a second of sorry showing in her features before she crossed her arms with a pout. "And you're mean, what's new?"

"Never said I wasn't." He grumbled, "made 'em happy though." He pointed to the dwarf beside her who looked like he was about to burst from laughter, red faced with a different set of tears in his eyes. She turned her head to face the brunette, a gasp escaping her. "I trusted you, Runi."

"Sorry, Norvs, but it's not often someone gets a hit on ya. Y-you should have seen your face!" He choked out, now completely in tears as he held himself up on his knees. "Solid hit, Dwalin."

"It's sir, Dwalin." Dwalin huffed, putting his axe on his shoulder as he walked off, a proud smirk on his features. Git.

"We're so over." She huffed, following the commander through the field of training scouts to one of the doors that led to the few meeting rooms.

"W-wait! What does that mean?!" He cried running after his partner.

"Farewell, ruinazad."

"Wait! I'm sorry! I'll make it up to you…I'll hit Dwalin and restore your glory!"

"sod off!"

The others choking on their snickers as they watched the pair enter the main room and close the door behind them. The youngest were by far the liveliest, now just what guard was it again that called their youngest lad weak? They turned back on their heels and marched out the scouts area. They'll figure it out.
