Author's Notes: I had to research Japanese history (unpleasant history) for a part of Kagome's journaling. It serves her purpose of anger. Which I can currently relate to. Here is the honest answer to those who keep PM'ing me to ask who I am pairing Kagome with. I DON'T KNOW! And at the moment, my muse and she do not want any of them. So if youdo not like that, I politely ask you to turn around and leave now because I don't see the point in wasting your time and mine.

Kagome sat at her desk, homework untouched. She balanced her pen on her upper lip as she leaned back to stare at the ceiling.

It'd been three weeks since returning from Hokkaido. Many things had changed in that short period. And though she had not changed schools, Kagome had decided to graduate early.

Groaning, Kagome let her head flop forward, launching the pen to the desk's surface. She felt agitated and shoved her untouched homework aside, revealing her Diary. Grabbing the pen and opening it to a blank page, Kagome began to pour her thoughts onto it.

Hey, Diary,

It's been a while, but a lot has happened since I returned from Hokkaido.

Let's start from there, yes!

On the first day back at school, Yuka did try to do something. She said that I had a sugar daddy who bribed the head of the school, and I got the offer to switch schools due to bullying because of the bribe.

Her words had caused a huge commotion as they were intended. The other students gave Yuka a wide berth. None of them wanted to be burned at stake with her for saying(or agreeing) the head of such a prestigious school was corrupt.

Dean Sesshomaru Inui himself expelled Yuka. And he did it publicly to make it known by showing the letter he personally wrote to me to invite me to this school due to my family history. He even went so far as to state my grades(which have always been hidden like everyone else in school).

I had only seen him that once, but he was a god-like figure with all the 10/10 good points. His aura and looks quelled everyone present.

On the way out, Yuka made claims my sugar daddy had caused her family and her two friends' business' to fail as well.

The following days were very awkward in general.

The next big thing was the Sakamaki and Mukami's coming to apologize to me(again), and they meant it this time. They owned up to starting a few of the rumors that were spread about me and instigating the bullying. I accepted it (though I suspected they had a motive), as they were trying to be sincere.

They're being mostly 'polite' to me. It feels as if They are trying to curry favor with me. And no, I am not saying that to toot my own horn; it is what it feels like. And honestly, because of them acting this way, it makes me very uncomfortable with this 'new leaf' they have turned over. Thus I have chosen to keep them at arm's length. I don't care to be burned a second time.

The good things that have happened include meeting Miroku's girlfriend and her brother. I adore them both! I greatly respect Sango(Mirokus's gf) for how she tolerates and controls Miroku's perverted tendencies.

I got tested to see where I was academically so we could get the correct classes for me to graduate earlier.

I usually have test anxiety, yet I breezed through it as if it was basic stuff learned in elementary school. I was surprised I knew some of the advanced material, though I do tend to read books when I have free time randomly, so maybe I read one by accident.

But from what I was told, I could skip all first and most second-year subjects! Meaning next year, I will graduate by winter if I apply myself diligently.

Ms. Leilani also said I had made progress in my special class. Miroku already manifested his Reiki; it was gentle and purple in color. I felt as if it resonated with something in me. Strange, right?

At the beginning of the year, we were told that manifesting would be rare and not everyone would be able to.

I want(hope) that I can manifest. If I do, I can use it in the medical field. However, I'll still do my duty to the shrine.

The last thing I have to mention is Halloween. It's a big thing at the school. And they're already prepping for a Samhain, as they explained it.

There will be plays, games, and a masquerade dance at midnight.

I am excited about this. It will be an experience that I will never forget.

Kagome smiled, feeling more relaxed. She'd written everything she needed.

Keeping that much to herself had started to make her feel bogged down and anxious—all the good with the bad.

Peaking to the side, Kagome frowned at the homework she still had untouched on the desk beside her.

I'll give him some kudos," Shippo snorted. "He got those boys to behave quickly. Though I wonder what he dangled to entice them."

"Indeed," Sesshomaru said. "Though for now, it'll have to be put on the back burner."

Silence descended.

This morning before school had closed, they'd called an assembly and announced the yearly Halloween(Samhain) celebration.

The holiday had been a favorite of Kagomes in the past. But it meant something else to them and the other denizens that humanity thought of as myths and fairy tales.

"I hope nothing goes wrong," Leilani said from the office's open door. "Kagome is finally showing signs of awakening now that Miroku's reincarnation has."

"True," Ayame replied. "Yet it is the night we all get to be ourselves under the laws and packs put in place for protection."

"Yes," Koga agreed with his mate. "Though I wonder if she might get a sense of Dejavu? She will see us in our true forms."

"Eh, if she does, then we will do what we can then," Shippo said while shrugging his shoulders.

They all looked at Sesshomaru, who seemed lost in thought and looking out the window.

He had a lot invested in this. The only reason they could keep trying was the price he paid to the Gods in their first life. And though no one spoke about it, he cared the most about Kagome.

Everyone was a bit shocked the announcement for the Samhain came. They'd figured since all that had happened would have canceled it.

They also knew that the girl's newest friend had 'awoken,' putting them on edge since he wasn't fully trained. His gift was not weak or meager. And the young man knew that they(and a considerable portion of the school populace) weren't human.

"You all will behave on that night. And I'm proud you have all pulled your heads out of your asses," Their father said as he placed his cutlery on the table. "I have been asked to inform you that Kagome's Miko powers are beginning to bud."

As one, they paused eating their dinner. Their gazes focused on their father, who smiled coldly.

"I won't stop any of you from pursuing her," He said. "But do be careful; if pushed, her awakening will be violent, and death to others and us will occur."

A chill settled over them as the air in the dining room became thick with tension. This warning wasn't to be something they could ignore or laugh at.
