I have tried and tried these last couple of months to update all of my stories and I am unsure if it is my missing Muse or the exhaustion that I am constantly fighting that is preventing my progress. I am hoping though that with the coming of the new month that my goals are easier to achieve.
Thank you all that are continuing to follow, favorite and review my works. I appreciate every one of you. I hope that you have all stayed safe and healthy and that 2023 is awesome for all of you.
The Last Lady Prince
Chapter 2
"There is no way that George became a Granger!" snarled the female redhead standing across from Seamus. "He would never turn his back on his family, on being a Weasley."
"Well, he did, by Magic and in Name, did ye never wonder why your owls never reached him, or did you never bother to ask about him in all of these years? He has been gone from England for the last eight years, did ye even think about him in all of that time, or were you too busy being "The Chosen One and his two Ginger sidekicks?" Snarled the Irishman looking at the three people that he grew up with.
"We thought that he was trying to find himself after losing Fred, how were we to know that he would follow Granger halfway around the world? Replied Ron looking as befuddled as ever.
"Did you even wonder if he was still alive? He lost his twin, his other half and then one of the few people that could tell them apart had to leave and he wasn't supposed to care? Yeah, we know how you supposedly treat family, don't we Potter?" growled Seamus
"What is that supposed to mean?" asked a bewildered Harry "I treat my family just fine, thank you very much and my friends."
Seamus couldn't contain the burst of shocked laughter that came out at that statement. He was genuinely amazed that Harry could say that with a straight face and truly mean it. Apparently six years of friendship with the most self-sacrificing woman didn't count according to the man in front of him.
"Anyway, the three of you don't belong here, today of all days to try and talk to any of us." Said Seamus as cold as he had ever sounded.
"We know what day it is Finnegan and today of all days the uppity bitch needs to come out and be dealt with." Complained the redheaded with a belligerent snarl.
"Did she do all of the thinking for you three? You do know how to count right?"
"It has been ten years since the war ended Seamus, it is time for Hermione to answer for the hexes that she placed on us." explained Harry, with a fire in his green eyes.
"Hexes, you say? You're trying to tell me that Hermione placed hexes on the three of you ten years ago today?" asked Seamus, a smirk upon his thinned lips. "She must be a powerful witch for her hexes to have lasted ten years. That's an unusually long time for a hex to last." He said, tapping his finger against his chin. "Sounds more like a curse to me."
"Hex, curse, whatever you want to call it, she needs to get her scrawny, rats nest and buck toothed skinny arse down here and remove them." Screeched Ginny trying to bypass the man in front of her and get into the pub behind him.
"Listen ye screechin harpy" growled Seamus. You are not welcome in me pub, you are not welcome on my property, and you are not welcome anywhere near my family today of all days. We are grieving and you all have no right to make demands of anyone today."
Stepping forward the burly man stopped in front of the black-haired boy that just would not die and slapped a hand to his chest, before he even thought of raising his wand. A bit slow to notice the show of muscle, the two gingers raised their wands without thought to The Statute of Secrecy.
"She knew, she always knows, but she knew that you dumb sods would show up here today. She knew that you would not remember the date that you forced her away from home. She knew what absolute hot-headed arse's you would be. Meet her at that address on that date. She will not see or talk to you before then. And if you think of trying anything remotely more awful than what ye have already done, know that she will not be meeting you alone."
Giving the trio a final disgusted look, Seamus turned and walked back into his pub, the door slamming shut behind him.
Looking to his left, he saw his best friend and the friend of his sister in all but blood.
"Will ye stand with me for her?"
"Always" replied Dean
"Absolutely" answered Phil
"Let's go see our girl." said Seamus, turning the lights out and making sure the doors were locked and heading up the stairs to the apartment above.
