I DO NOT OWN TWILIGHT!
Chapter 84
(Bella)
I opened my eyes to find Edward curled up next to me with his hand on my stomach. We were in our bed. "Edward," I said nudging him
"Hmm," He groaned nuzzling his face into my neck.
"Why am I home?"
"You slept all the way home last night, I carried you into the house and we went to bed," He said.
"Oh," I yawned wrapping my arms around my husband.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
"I'm just really tired," I said.
"Well today you are just going to rest," He said looking up at me.
"Sounds like a good plan, I don't want to step foot back in that hospital until I'm ready for him to come," I said.
"I wont argue that one," He laughed.
"We need to get his room finished," I said.
"I agree, lets see how you are feeling tomorrow and maybe we can go get some things."
My stomach growled. "I need to feed you. What do you want?" He asked.
"Cheerios with bananas and milk, but I also want some chocolate milk too," I said.
"I don't think you know how much I love you."
I blushed. "I love you too," I said.
Edward walked out of the room and I smiled. "You've got a great daddy," I said running my hands over my stomach. Caleb moved around causing me to laugh. "You feel like a soccer player."
"Bella, who are you talking to?" Edward asked coming into the room with my breakfast.
"Caleb, he's our soccer player," I said.
Edward laughed. "Soccer huh?"
"Yep," I said taking my food from him.
Edward climbed onto the bed next to me and poked my stomach laughing as Caleb kicked him back. "Was Matt this active?" I asked taking a sip of chocolate milk.
"Oh yeah, day and night," He said.
"How did Lauren sleep?"
"I'd read to him," Edward said smiling.
"I should have known," I laughed.
"I guess I'll have to have books saved in here so once we're alone for the night, I can read to Caleb."
"Don't make me cry," I said biting my lip.
"Sorry," He said smiling. "Just eat."
Edward laid down next to me with his hand on my stomach. "We have to feed your mommy so she wont get grouchy," He said.
"I'm not that bad," I said.
"Not always, just sometimes," He laughed.
"I don't think I realized how bad I was feeling yesterday even before we left," I said.
"When did the symptoms start?" He asked me.
I sighed. "When you were out mowing, I lifted Jaycie up to change her diaper and felt my stomach tighten up. I didn't think anything of it, but as I was helping Matt clean up the toy room, it happened again so I just went and laid down."
"Love, why didn't you tell me?" He asked rubbing my stomach.
"I didn't really think any more about it," I said. "I just didn't feel all the great and thought it was how hot I was."
Edward turned his head to face me. "Tell me next time, no matter how small you think it is."
"I will," I said setting my food to the side.
Edward took my dishes back down stairs and I snuggled down into the bed covering up. I couldn't remember the last time I'd felt so tired. I felt Edward press his lips to my forehead and fell asleep.
I felt the bed dip and heard thunder. I couldn't open my eyes, I rolled over and wrapped my arm around Edward. "I love the thunder, reminds me over our honeymoon."
"Bella," I felt him shake my arms.
My eyes flew open. "Alice, what are you doing?" I gasped sitting up.
"Sorry," She giggled.
"Where is Edward?"
"He went to get the kids. I just came in and thought I would lie down for a bit, I didn't expect you to try to hump me."
"Oh my God," I gasped blushing. "Sorry."
"So you guys had sex during a storm?" She asked.
"I dreamed I was," I said laughed.
"How are you feeling?" Alice asked.
"Better than I did yesterday," I said. "I'm just so tired."
"I'm pregnant," She blurted out.
"Oh my God Alice, are you sure?" I asked.
"We stopped on the way home last night and picked up a test, it turned immediately," She said. "We haven't told anyone yet and I don't know how far along I am or anything."
"Wow," I said smiling. "A baby."
Alice bit her lip and nodded. "I'm having a baby."
"Are you showing?" I asked her.
"No," She said.
I scooted up and hugged her tightly. "I'm so happy for you Ali."
The lights flickered and more thunder shook the house just as we heard the front door open and clothes. "Alice, Bella," Edward called running up the stairs.
"We're in here," I called.
He came into the bedroom. "There's a tornado warning. We need to get down to the basement."
"I need to head home," Alice said getting up.
"No Alice, you aren't going anywhere," Edward said. "Jasper called me while I was out and told me about the storm, I picked him up and he is getting the kids downstairs now."
"Oh my God Edward, thank you," She said running out of the room.
Edward helped me up. "How are you feeling?"
"Just exhausted," I said. "I feel like I've been run over by a freight train."
"I bet," He said.
He helped me down the stairs and grabbed me a bottle of water, before leading me downstairs. "Did you feel the need to have Alice babysit me?" I asked.
"She called to talk to you, but you were asleep and I knew I needed to get the kids," He said. "I asked her if she could come over just incase you woke up."
"Thank you," I said.
"So you aren't mad at me?" He asked.
"If I hadn't spent so much time having contractions yesterday I would have been."
We found Jaycie curled up in Jasper's arms while Matt was on Alice's lap, his eyes wide with fear. "Mama," He whimpered. "I'm scared."
I walked over and sat down next to him and Alice. "It's alright buddy," I said. "I know its scary."
"How are you feeling Bella?" Jasper asked.
"Better," I said.
Jaycie climbed off of Jasper's lap and sat reached up to me. "Come here sweet girl," I said picking her up.
"Should you be lifting her?" Alice asked.
"As long as I'm sitting down," I said. "Should you be lifting Matt?"
"As long as I'm sitting," She laughed.
"You told her?" Jasper asked Alice. She nodded.
"Told her what?" Edward asked.
"Later," We all said in unison.
We could hear the wind, thunder and rain. Suddenly the lights went out. "Mama," Matt cried.
"I'm right here," I said reaching over and taking his hand.
"Um Edward, do you have flashlights?" Jasper asked.
"Upstairs in the kitchen drawer," He said.
The two of them went upstairs lighting there way with their phones leaving Alice and I with Matt and Jaycie who were crying.
"I want daddy," Matt cried.
"He'll be right back," Alice said soothingly.
"Daddy," He cried.
"Matt," I said. "Calm down buddy, he'll be right back."
"Matt," Edward said reaching down and picking him up. "I'm right here."
"Is it over yet?" Matt cried.
"No buddy," Edward said rubbing him back.
(Edward)
We had been in the basement for over an hour and Matt had cried himself to sleep in my arms. I carried him over to the other couch against the wall and covered him up. "Do you want me to try to get Jaycie to sleep?" Jasper asked.
"No, she can play," I told him. "So Bella, Alice, why do you keep smiling at each other? Am I missing something?"
Alice went over and sat down with Jasper and Jaycie. "We found out last night that we are having a baby."
"Oh Alice, I'm so happy for you," I said. "I bet you are so excited."
"Scared and excited," Jasper said.
"You guys will make such amazing parents," Bella said.
"Thanks guys," Alice said wiping her eyes.
"I haven't heard it thunder in a while, I think I'll go upstairs and check," Jasper said.
"I'll go with you," Alice said getting up.
Jaycie sat on the floor playing with some of Matt's cars that we pulled out for him when we first went down stairs.
"You doing okay?" I asked Bella.
"I'd feel amazing if I wasn't so tired," She yawned.
"Go back to sleep sweetheart," I said.
She curled up in arms. "I think Jasper and Alice got blown away."
I laughed. "I'm so happy for them."
"Me too," Bella sighed. "After what happened to them a few months ago they deserve to be happy."
"Yes Bella, they do."
"The sun is out," Alice said following Jasper down the stairs. Her hair was sticking up and he had a smudge of lipstick on his neck.
"I guess you went outside and the wind blew Alice into you," Bella laughed.
"Yes, that is exactly what happened," Jasper said blushing.
Once we had called our family checked on them the kids woke up, and we took the kids outside to run around. I helped Bella sit down in the chair and kissed her. "Do you need anything?"
"No," She laughed. "Go play with our kids."
"Daddy, can we make s'mores?" Matt asked.
I looked over at Bella who was sitting with Alice laughing. "Are you all in a hurry to leave?" I asked Jasper.
"No, we can stay," He said.
Jasper and I built the fire while Alice and Bella went inside to find the stuff for s'mores. "Here daddy," Matt said bringing me over a hug pile of sticks.
"Thanks buddy," I said.
The six of us spent the night sitting around the fire laughing as Jaycie ran around the year covered in chocolate. "We need to hose her down," Bella laughed.
"I'll give her a bath," I told her. "I don't mind."
"Just think," Alice said quietly. "This time next year there will be two or three babies running around."
"Three?" Bella asked.
"I think Rose will have one soon," Alice said smiling.
"That would be awesome," Bella said.
Jasper and Alice left around 10pm. I took Jaycie and gave her a quick bath and then Bella and I put the kids to bed together.
Matt wrapped his arms around Bella. "I love you mama."
"I love you too," She said kissing his cheek.
"Night brother," He said rubbing her stomach.
I watched the two of them together and suddenly couldn't wait for our son to join our family.
AN- I want to sincerely apologize for how long it has taken me to update. It's been an incredibly long and hard few months, but we are making it through. We lost our little friend several weeks ago. She was an amazing little girl and I truly believe that heaven as gained an amazing kid.
I just started back to school and changed majors so it's been an adjustment all the way around. I'm hoping that I will be able to start writing again as my schedule is a bit calmer this quarter.
Thank you for all of the support! I hope you enjoy this chapter!
