The firework lit up the sky. Sitting on her hiding spot, Cacy smiled for the first time in forever. This was beautiful. And felt wonderful, too.

Her eyes swept through the couples on the beach, and her smile faded.

They looked so happy that it hurt. She felt a sudden burst of jealousy blooming inside her. Chris and Clarisse were holding hands, walking side by side on the beach. Grover and Juniper were laughing by the woods. Percy and Annabeth were sitting and talking. They weren't a couple yet, but everyone knew they would end up together. And Charles... Charles Beckendorf and Silena Beauregard. They were standing far away in the sea, water up to their knees, kissing, and her heart broke, once again. It actually broke, for she felt a drop of hot liquid running down her left side: her scar was slowly bleeding again. It would be easier if she could just hate Silena, but no, oh no, her life was nothing near "easy." Silena was a great person, eventhough she was an Aphrodite's girl, and Cacy actually liked her. She was just going to accept the fact that Silena and Beckendorf were dating, and waited to punch Aphrodite in her dream tonight.

Percy looked out at the sea, sitting in a comfortable silent with Annabeth. It's great to be with her, and it's great that they were both alive. He still had a lot of questions for her about her attitude toward Rachel back when they were at the Labyrinth, but that can wait. He didn't want to ruin the moment. Beside, he doubted that Annabeth would answer any of those question. As Beckendorf had said, who knows what girls thinking? Trying to understand what's going on in a girl's mind was probaly harder than wandering the Labyrinth.

He suddenly heard a sound in the woods. He turned, unconciously gripped Riptide. But he only saw a girl, sitting alone on a tree, looking out at the sea. She looked sorrowful, he assumed she had lost someone in the battle. She was wearing a camp T-shirt, but he didn't remember seeing her anywhere.

"Annabeth," he asked, "who is she?"

Annabeth turned to the woods. "Oh. That's Cacy. One of the unclaimed as Hermes cabin. She has been here for a quite long time."

"Really? I haven't seen her before."

"She has some problems. She isn't very open. And she's quite different. But, she is a good fighter. And a powerful demigod."

"How long has she been here? She looks like she doesn't truly belong here."

"Oh, she belongs here more than you think. She has been here for 14 years."

"What? But she's only..."

"Fourteen. I know. She came here since she was a baby."

"But Chiron said..."

"I'm the camper that had been here for the longest? Well, it's hard to explain about her, and he probably didn't want to. It's complicated to tell you when she's not going to meet you anyway. She... well, it's a long story."

Percy stayed quiet. Obviously something had happened to this girl, but it's none of his business. Everyone had their own story. After all, he had his, too. But a thought sneaked into his mind.

Spy. There was a spy inside the Camp. And he couldn't help to wonder if the girl with her long story was the spy they were searching for.

But when Annabeth rested her head on his shoulder, he forgot everything and enjoyed the night, with Annabeth by his side, the firework that lit up the sky and some little peace they were having.

Meanwhile, Cacy silently climbed down the tree and disappeared into the woods.
