A black car was slowly driving in between tall trees. The chauffeur was quiet, not uttering a single word towards the passenger. That passenger is me, on my way towards a mansion. You could say I'm some sort of a sacrifice. Since the goal in this mission is… For me to die. Horrible isn't it? Knowing that the place you are heading to know, is the last place you will ever visit. I don't know how long I have been sitting inside the car, but I was beginning to feel nervous when in fact, I should be feeling terrified instead. I don't want to be a sacrifice and I don't want to die either. I don't think I deserve it, no matter what my teacher says or what the church says. What do I need to do in order to stay alive? I barely know anything about the hosts expect they are well… Vampires. But I have studied them for years. So I should know their weak spots. The problem is that they are royal vampires. They are stronger, quicker and harder to kill. Do I even have a chance? Of course not… Since I am supposed to get killed by them.

A small sigh escaped my lips as he looked through the window. I soon saw the high fence surrounding a big mansion. Seems like I have finally arrived.

The car drove inside and parked outside the mansion, as soon as I got out and got my things the car disappeared. Another sigh escaped my lips. There is no turning back now… As I slowly began to walk towards the door I began to wonder why I didn't escape from the car when I knew I would die here anyway. Why didn't I attack the chauffeur when I actually had the chance? It's simple… If I did escape, people would come after me and try to kill me that way. I don't want to trouble my classmates anymore. So whatever I do, death is awaiting me.

I soon knocked on the door which slowly opened by itself. Is this an attempt to scare me? I slowly stepped inside and the door slammed behind me. I flinched as I slowly began to look around. The hall looked rather elegant and mysterious. Perfect for vampires. I sighed, wondering how I will be greeted. And how should I greet them? Should I give them an unforgettable experience?

"Hello?'' I called out but got no answer in return. Since I know how vampires usually love to play pranks and scare humans, I might as well play along for a bit. I slowly began to walk through the hall. I could feel how my stomach began to growl which only made me sigh. It became boring quite quickly. So I went to search for the kitchen instead. If they won't show up, I can do whatever I want until they do. I can even throw my own party with my… Imaginary friends. I smiled over my own pathetic thoughts. How sad and lonely I am. I will probably cause great trouble and annoyance…

Eventually I found the kitchen. It was sparkling clean which felt rather unusual. These vampires might like it tidy. Just like my teacher does… I went to the fridge and noticed there were tons of cranberry juice. I began to frown as I began to search through the fridge to find something that I can actually eat.

"Ehem'' I hit my head in the fridge when I heard a voice behind me. I quickly closed the fridge and turned around to look at a rather strict looking male. I could feel how my heart began to beat faster in fear, not wanting to anger this male.

"Ah… Hello sir'' I quickly bowed and smiled an innocent smile but the other male didn't seem to buy it.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?'' He asked with a stern voice as he crossed his arms. I sighed and straighten my back, feeling how my heart was beating in fear.

"I have been sent here as a bride, yet no one came and greeted me. I apologize for my rudeness but I couldn't stop one of my human needs, hunger.'' I replied as my eyes were stuck on the ground. I bit my tongue, cursing that I should have been more humble and respectful. All I needed was to catch a glimpse of his eyes and noticed the rage.

"I see, but you still haven't explained who you are. And if you put it that way, you won't mind my needs do you?'' He began to move closer, his eyes still filled with rage. I could feel how a shiver ran through my spine as I gulped harshly.

"I see your point… I shouldn't have said that…'' Regretting what I have said, I looked away trying to find courage to speak again as my back hit the wall.

"S-Suppaidesu Candy is my name… You may call me Candy'' I stuttered and the other male nodded as stared at me with more hungry eyes.

"Ah… That name does sound familiar, you are not lying.'' As his face grew closer, his fangs were showing. My eyes widened and in panic, I rose my hand and slapped him right across his face which made his glasses fall off. I know I shouldn't have done that, I should submit to them and follow everything they say. But I can't let them… Drink me dry yet… Before I could even blink, I felt a strong hand squeezing my throat, not being able to breathe. I would die either way wouldn't I?

"Reiji~ already chocking our new guest?'' A playful voice was heard from the distance and the cold hand let go, making me fall down on the floor, coughing and breathing once again.

"This thing disrespected me'' He spat out those words as if I was some kind of disgusting bug. I slowly tried to collect myself to stand up and gained support from the wall. I was able to catch a glimpse of the other male who had showed up. A playful smirk with a playboy hat. Just his look sent shivers.

"She's really pretty and exciting… Her hair seems overly sweet too, like cotton candy.'' His breath was against my neck in the next second as he touched my hair, making my body freeze. He noticed I didn't flinch from his sudden teleportation, the expression he made showed amusement.

"Even her aroma is sweet and exciting…'' He whispered into me ear, the sentence made me move away from him as a placed both of my hands on my neck. The male kept staring at me with hungry eyes and I felt my urge to escape. I quickly bowed down to take the glasses that had fell from the guy I slapped and gave them to him as I bowed. He simply gave me annoyed eyes as he took them with a more aggressive movement, not liking I touched it.

"I think we should move and meet everyone who lives here right? I apologize for all that had happened but it was reflexes, I would rather avoid getting raped today.'' I said while I kept bowing then moved away from the kitchen. I just wanted to cry already, I had to do this all alone too… I should try and keep a smile. Hopefully I will survive a bit longer.

Eventually everyone was gathered in the living room. Everyone has been introduced and I angered the mother in the house. I made quick notes of who I should avoid which was the second son Reiji, Laito the one who wore a hat and the rest of the triplets. Well basically everyone, except the oldest one and the only girl… Yui. If I could talk to her, I could probably gain information about these people. If so, then I can study them.

"Just so you know, you will never be able to leave'' Said the youngest one with crossed arms. I might be a special occasion since I knew why I was actually there, and yet I didn't run.

"I am aware, so I hope we'll become great roommates!'' I gave him a smile but he just frowned, giving me a look of contempt. Positivity was probably rare here. But I noticed the fear and admiration in the female's eyes. I felt how a gentle smile spread across my lips as I looked at her.

"Dinner will be served soon, your human needs will be finally satisfied.'' Reiji explained while ending his sentence with a sarcastic tone which made me smile.

"I'm overly happy for that, I can finally stop my growling stomach.'' He merely nodded while giving an annoyed sigh as he told Yui to show me to my room. She instantly stood up, ready to escort me and I followed her, finally someone gentle.

"You are walking on thin ice… They are capable of killing you, yet how can you smile?'' She asked with worry in her voice. She has clearly been through a lot.

"Lots of things can kill me, that doesn't make them particularly special. Besides, I need to enjoy life while I can. Hopefully starting with us becoming friends.'' I said, reaching out my hand for hers. She stared at me with wide eyes, being shocked how I saw things. She must see me as someone strong, who can defeat them. She doubtfully took my hand and I pulled her into a hug. Her whole body was stiff but after a while it relaxed and she hugged me back tightly.

"I can see it in your eyes how much fear you hold for them, and it's not too big of a chance of survival so please… Tell me everything you know about them…'' I whispered into her ear and she nodded. I slowly tried to let go of her but she still held onto me tightly.

"I'm scared…'' She whispered and I nodded, trying to imagine what could have happened but failed.

"I know… Let's sleep together tonight.'' I said which made her look at me with surprise. A smile appeared on my face as I laughed.

"I know I move quickly, too quickly… But you are the only one here I can trust. And I am… The only chance to get a female friend right?'' The blonde female nodded as I smiled more. I truly did move fast, but she was my only shot feeling protected. I bet one of them would sneak in my bed eventually.

Dinner came after, the most awkward one I have ever been on. Annoyed and curious looks were exchanged towards me but I tried to ignore as I ate. When I finished I decided to strike a conversation, an attempt to make the evening less awkward.

"So, any special rules I need to follow? Except not leaving the mansion or going to the kitchen without permission?'' I asked but no one really answered. I was tempted to pull on the strings further but I would only ruin my chances of survival even more.

"Can I make a call here?'' I asked still no answer. Except from Yui who shook her head. Seems like she had tried.

"Dang it, I assume television is not allowed either I guess. You don't seem like people who watch such stuff.'' I commented and the oldest one just left without saying a word. I sighed and placed my elbows on the table as I stared at Reiji, waiting for him to lecture me about table manners. All it took for him was one look and I removed them. Another sigh left my lips as I stood up and looked at Yui with a smile.

"Let's go Yui. Thanks for the food.'' I said as I left the table, and no one really tried to stop me. I did finish my meal as well excused myself. But Yui didn't come, probably she got the lecture.

Some time has passed before Yui entered the room with tired eyes. I was unpacking my things as she entered noticing her surprised expression.

"If my presence bothers you, I can move back to my room. Or sleep on the floor.'' I explained as I kept unpacking.

"No... That's not the problem but… You're really bold…'' She explained as she tilted her head. I sighed and smiled as I sat down on the bed.

"Just like them, since they can do whatever they want, I could do the same. Though punishments will follow, I'm sure of it.'' I sighed. Yui slowly sat down beside me as she looked at me worriedly. I just shook my head and looked down.

"The truth is, I'm just as scared as you are. But if I show I'm weak… They will mock me and laugh at me… Making me feel even more pathetic, surely they did the same to you?'' I looked at her, feeling how I won't be able to keep up anymore. Yui simply nodded.

"I want to save you, give you and show you how to treat someone like a decent being.'' Her eyes widened as if she never had heard those words. Her eyes filled with tears as she hugged me tightly. I have no idea how long we hugged, but we ended up crying. Finally someone who would stand up for her, finally someone I could let my guard down. If it was a lie, just an act… I won't regret it. At least we could share this moment.

After that, curled up next to each other, we slept. Without anyone disturbing. Before my mind fell into the clouds of dreams, a soft voice said

"Just who are you?''

Then I drifted away into sleep and the comfortable warmth of Yui.
