Chapter 3
Edward's POV
Alice had called my cell millions of times on my way to…that place, but I've ignored her until now.
"What?" I snapped into the phone.
"Well hello to you," she said.
I sighed it was my mom.
"Sorry mom, I thought it was Alice," I said.
I could see her smile.
"So…where are you now?" she asked.
"Um," I said looking around.
"Port Angeles," I said.
"What? Where is that? I thought you were going to Seattle," she said.
"It's a small town, and I did go to Seattle….I'm touring what I didn't see," I said.
"Oh," she said.
Well….looking at which I did not because of her gorgeous face.
"So Edward…no one is around me or you. Who is she?" she asked.
"Uh huh, like I'll believe that mom," I said.
"Edward its 11'o clock at night here, no one is here and your father is asleep," she snapped.
"Mom," I said.
"Edward please," she begged.
I sighed and she heard it.
"I knew it! There was a girl! What's she like? What's her name?" she asked.
She continued to say questions she had about her.
"Okay, mom one at a time," I said.
"Okay, I'm sorry. What's her name?" she asked.
I sighed, this was going to take a lot of time and it is going to expose a lot.
"Her name is Bella," I said.
I winced. I have not said that name in four years.
"Oh! Sounds cute, what's she look like?" she asked.
"(Four) years ago, she had brown hair with matching brown eyes," I said.
"Hmm….where does she live?" she asked.
"Forks Washington," I said.
"Forks? Strange name. How old IS she?" she asked.
"She's twenty two now," I said.
"Your thirty….and you were twenty six four years ago….she was eighteen?" mom asked.
"Yes….but out of school almost nineteen," I said.
"Edward! You probably broke that little girl's heart when you left," she said.
I sighed.
"She knew I had to leave, we discussed it," I said.
"Edward," She said.
"I'm sorry," I said.
"You ruined it, you made yourself like you are now," she said.
"I know….that's why I needed time," I said.
She sighed over the phone.
"Okay…I'll give you some more time, but if you don't bring her back to us when you come home then your career is over I repeat OVER!" she said.
I smiled.
"I love you mom," I said.
I could see her smile.
"I love you to baby, I know you can find her," she said
"I know I can find her, but I don't know if she can forgive me," I said.
"If she still loves you, you have a 99 % chance of her forgiving you," she said.
"But there's still that one percent," I said.
She sighed.
"Edward…go find her, don't worry about her not forgiving you. Unless she got married and had kids, she's still your love," she said.
Kids….she always wanted kids….
"Okay," I said.
"I have to go, have a good time," she said hanging up.
I hung up the phone and when stopping at the light I banged my head on the steering wheel. She always wanted kids and when she was with me she wanted a little me, a little Edward. When I left her and never saw her again I ended up crushing her dreams. We had sex a few times, but she did not want kids at eighteen so we always wore protection until that one time….I had just met her dad and he had to leave for work problems when she said she 'needed' me, then and there.
I told her no. I did not want to have sex in her father's home on his couch where he usually sat and watched football and baseball. She had told me that her father wouldn't mind and she was eighteen so if he did get mad she could move out once she graduated in a few weeks. She distracted me, wanting me, and I gave into her. We made love on the couch in her bed, many many times and im not surprised after I left her that I felt… different. Yea, life sucks.
