SUPER SMASH BROS. Civil War

Chapter 9: Rebel

Smash Tower Registration Desk

The Smashers who proceeded to register were the following: Samus, Captain Falcon, Marth, Falco, Palutena, Lucina, Robin, Pit, Sonic, and Peach. Everyone else was pending. The officials were looking over the desk via a monitor.

"The following have been registered under the Smasher Registration Act Program: Samus Aran, Captain Douglas Jay Falcon, Prince Marth of Altea, Falco Lombardi, Palutena, Lucina, Robin, Pit, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Princess Peach Toadstool," one official read off everyone's names.

"If you don't comply, you will be charged with treason!" said one of the head officials. Mario, Fox, and Ike walked in for the registration.

"Fuzzy, where are Mr. Fluffy and Rosie?" Peach alerted with a whisper.

"Bathroom," he lied.

"Together?!" Peach, dumbfounded.

"Y-yes?" he told her in an awkward manner.

"Well, they better get here soon. And you have to hurry and register right now!" Peach reprimanded.

"Don't worry. I'll make my choice very clear," Fox told her.

"Oh, that's wonderful!" she was completely unaware of what he was going to do.

It was Mario's decision either to register for the government or rebel against it. The moment everyone's been waiting. Samus, Cap, and Marth shot rude glares. Mario took his sweet time by approaching the counter slowly. He stared at the paper and gave a grin.

"Mario, have you made your decision to register?" asked the official.

After a short pause, he blurted out his words.

"...No! No way!" admitted Mario as most of the Smashers gasped. Samus, Marth, and Cap were the only ones not surprised.

"What?!" said another official.

"You heard me. I'm not registering!" Mario repeated as he took a fighting stance. Armed guards working for the government showed up and aimed their guns directly at Mario.

The head official demanded. "Detain him!"

"I don't think so," replied Mario, snapping his fingers.

"Weapons online, now!" the soldiers yelled.

Before gunfire was exchanged, Fox pulled out his automatic pistol and fired at all sides, injuring all the National Guardsmen. Mario used his fiery fists to knock back the second response. Ike unleashed his Ragnell blade onto the enemy.

"You're the ones who made a mistake!" Ike swung his swords like a rotary blade, keeping everyone at bay.

In a twist, Zelda used her magic to defend the three and break the soldiers' defenses. "I've got you covered," Zelda placed a magic barrier around her allies.

"Good timing, Zelda," Mario gave her a thumbs up.

The other Smashers tried to stop them, but Mario quickly charged at several soldiers like a battering ram and smashed them through large windows.

Mario, Fox, Ike, and Zelda jumped out from the broken glass to escape.

"No! Mario got away!" yelled the officials before they signed off from the mess that just happened. "We'll contact the rest of you later. Take those men to the medical bay."

Several soldiers had gun wounds from Fox's automatic pistol and blistering wounds from Ike's golden blade. Medics were called to assist the injured. The rest of the Smashers took a breather; everything happened all too fast. Due to Mario's rebellion against the Smasher Registration Act, the Smashers would be soon forced to take down the allies and friends they once fought with.
