Chapter 10- Rescue!
-
Lancelot turned his attention away from the army below and dismounted his Arcanine "Return your Pokémon we're going in on foot," Lancelot said retrieving two of the wooden Pokeballs he kept on his belt. Ash hopped off his Tauros allowing Lancelot to return it to its wooden Pokeball. Riley pulling out a more modern Pokeball returned his Rapidash. "So what's the plan?" Ash asked surveying the heavily occupied city. "We sneak in, find Guinevere and May, and hope we don't get caught," Lancelot replied. "With an elaborate plan like that, there's no way we can fail." Ash said tightening the belt around his sword, Lancelot shrugged his shoulders "Leave everything, except for your weapons here, we'll try and return the same way we go in." Ash nodded and sliding off his pack placed it neatly underneath a nearby oak tree.
Ash's heart began racing as they started maneuvering their way down the steep hill, Lancelot had Riley making sure the army below didn't spot them, by having him periodically tell them to duck or drop to the floor whenever he felt that they were in danger of being spotted. The walk down was by no means hidden, although they weren't taking the single road that led directly into the town that was also heavily guarded, they were still out in the open exposed to were any Team Rocket goon who so much as glanced up would give them away.
After what seemed like an eternity the three finally made it to the foot of the hill that faced a gravel road and the back door to a couple of buildings. Making sure no one was on the road Lancelot bolted across to the nearest building with Ash and Riley following close behind. Lancelot tugged on the door and found that it was open, sneaking inside the three found it to be a freshly abandoned diner with the stoves still lit and with blackened bacon strips inside the skillets. Ash passed by a grill that was still turned all the way on and clicked off the knob extinguishing the flames.
At the front of the diner was a large glass window that faced across a couple of the streets that were being patrolled by Team Rocket. "There's no way we can sneak around all these guy's and not be spotted." Riley said in dismay. Ash watched the passing army behind the counter when an idea came to him "Wait I have an idea," he said crawling over to the diner door. Grabbing a small pepper shaker Ash cracked the door open. Patiently he waited until the patrol had nearly passed and rolled the shaker behind the last row of men. Four of the men stopped and turned to see that shaker roll out in front of them. Exchanging confused looks the men followed the trail of pepper with their eyes and found were the shaker had come from and saw the door to the diner slowly close. "Alright now we wait," Ash said hiding beside Lancelot.
The four men now alert at what was happening, carefully made their way inside the diner. Each step they took they tried to be as silent as possible. The three waited patiently until all four of them were inside before making their move. Springing up from the booth Lancelot grabbed the first man by back of the head and smashed it against the counter knocking him out. Ash then jumped up and tackled the man nearest him. The third man turned his gun to Ash and was about to fire when Riley struck him across the face causing him to drop his gun. Lancelot turned to the fourth man who was trying to run out the door and call for help "Oh no you don't!" he yelled, grabbing him by the back of the shirt he flung him to the other side of the diner. The Team Rocket goon that Ash had tackled now pushed Ash off of him and reached for his rifle Ash quickly jumped back on him and tore the gun away from him. With the butt end of the stock Ash slammed it against the man's face rendering him unconscious.
Lancelot was still fighting with his guy who had now pulled out a boot knife and was swinging it wildly at him. Lancelot easily dodged each strike before delivering a quick punch to his face, the man was stunned long enough for Lancelot to knock the knife away and throw him into the kitchen. The man quickly got back up and took a swing at Lancelot hitting him on the side of the head. Lancelot stumbled backwards holding the side of his head, the man smiled and was proud that he managed to land a punch on his opponent.
Lancelot let go off the side of his head and saw a bit of blood on his hand, he became enraged by this and looking up at the man striking fear into him and wiping the smile from his face. With fire in his eyes Lancelot grabbed a nearby skillet he smashed it across the man's face knocking him out.
Riley continued fighting with his guy who, like Lancelot's, had also pulled out his own knife. The man swung it down at Riley, who merely side stepped it, the momentum of the man swinging his knife threw him off balance giving Riley an easy opportunity to push him onto the counter. The man upon hitting the counter spilt one of the salt shakers and dropped his knife. Riley grabbed him and forcefully turned him around "Don't you know that it's bad luck to spill the salt?" Riley said before delivering a knockout punch to his face.
Breathing heavily Ash threw the rifle to the side and standing back up rejoined Riley "Where's Lancelot?" Ash asked still breathing hard, Riley was about to answer when Lancelot came through the kitchen door dragging the Team Rocket member behind him "So Ash, what now?" Riley asked "Take their clothes and blend in," Ash replied zipping off the Team Rocket Goons tactical vest that held his extra magazines and radio.
The three then quickly changed into the Team Rocket clothes and shedding their own clothes left them hidden inside some nearby cupboards. In the window of the diner Ash looked at his own reflection and adjusted his beret in the same way the other soldiers had worn theirs. Lancelot was reluctant to leave behind his sword but Ash convinced him they would stand out if he kept it. Ash decided to keep his Aura gloves hidden in one of the vest pockets and the Ho-Oh feather in his pants pocket.
Taking the four unconscious men they bound their hands and feet together, then throwing them into a utility closet locked the door behind them. As they were about to leave the diner Lancelot suddenly stopped Ash "You can't take Pikachu," he said pointing to the small mouse Pokémon "What, why not?" Ash asked "Did you see any other Team Rocket soldiers carrying a Pikachu on their shoulder." "Well no," Ash replied but still not wanting to leave his friend behind "I'm sorry but you'll have to leave him here." Ash let out a sigh, grabbing Pikachu set him on the table "Stay here and make sure those guys don't escape." Ash said pointing to the utility closet; Pikachu gave a reluctant nod to his trainer. "I'll be back in a few." Ash said slinging his rifle over his shoulder and giving Pikachu one last pat on the head.
Suddenly they heard the crackling of one of the goon's radios "Aaron's staff is secured." The voice cracked "The staff," Riley said in surprise "How did they get the staff again!" "It must have been when they kidnapped Guinevere they also snuck off with the staff." Lancelot answered "I have to get the staff back," Riley said "Hey what about May and Guinevere?" Ash asked Riley looked down at the floor contemplating his decision "I know, but it was my responsibility to protect the staff in the first place and I failed; now I have to get it back."
Lancelot finally stepped in "We cannot waste anymore time discussing this, Riley will search for the staff while Ash and I search for Guinevere and May, is that clear!?" Riley and Ash both nodded in agreement "Good then let's go, now." Lancelot said opening the door to the outside street. As the group left the diner Ash glanced back and saw Pikachu staring out the window somberly.
The outfits worked like a charm as the three were able to navigate their way through the streets without raising any suspicion. Walking through the streets gave Ash a feel as to how equipped Mordred had become, not only did he have hundreds of soldiers marching through the streets, but also heavily armored tanks that would occasionally roll past a patrol of men.
Inside the city the echo of gunfire could be heard from soldiers at the make shift firing ranges. The small fields that had been used to hold Pokémon battles during the early stages of the Silver Town Conference were now for the most part turned into firing ranges with sand bags placed at one end to block the bullets. A few battle arenas were left untouched and were being used for their intended purpose.
Ash passed one of these arenas were two goons stood facing off in a heated Pokémon battle "Pinisir use vice grip now!" the goon yelled. His Pinsir Immediately charged forth at the opponents Houndoom "Houndoom flame thrower now!" the Pokémon unleashed a blast of flames from its mouth making direct contact with the Pinsir. The bug Pokémon collapsed to the floor unconscious and defeated its trainer rather than return the Pokémon angrily walked off leaving it behind.
Lancelot pulled Ash away from the field and onto the entrance to the Pokémon center. It was guarded by five guards and their Houndoom; they allowed the three to pass without raising any alarms. Inside the center Ash found it completely changed from whenever he had last stayed here so many years ago. The inside of the building was refurbished to the style of a medieval castle the walls had been made to look like they were made of stone and all the lights had been replaced by a system of burning torches that lined the walls.
Crowds of Team Rocket men back from patrol gathered in what was once the main lobby their conversations were mostly about how bored they were and asking about when they were going to see some action. The three made their way through the crowd of people and into one of the hallways. Venturing further down into it they came to a v shaped split, one side went left and another that went right. "I'll look for the staff on the left side and you two can look for May and Guinevere on the right." Riley said, Ash nodded in agreement and the group spilt apart.
Riley walked down the torch lit hall searching every room to make sure the staff wasn't hiding in one. Eventually he came to a door at the end of the hallway that led him to a stone spiral staircase quietly he began making his way up the stone steps. The stair case continued on until stopping at a large eight foot tall door, opening it he found himself on the top floor of the building. The hallway on this floor was different from the bottom floor it had modern appliances and a large window that ran the length of the hallway overlooking the city.
Walking down the hallway Riley came to two doors one on the left and one on the right. Riley felt a stronger sense of Aura coming from the left side so he carefully opened the door. Right in the middle of the empty room placed in a small stone slab was the staff. The crystal glimmered brightly as Riley approached it. Entering the room Riley let his guard down allowing a hidden Team Rocket goon to smash him in the back with his rifle. Riley cried out in pain as he fell to the floor when suddenly a blast of red Aura came and hit him in the side. Riley was flung across the room and hit the wall with a loud bang. Brendan walked over to Riley who was weakly getting up "No sit down, I insist." He said smashing his foot against Riley's back. Kneeling down beside him Brendan grabbed Riley by his face forcing him to make eye contact "Now where is Ash Ketchum,"
Ash and Lancelot quickened their pace as they walked down the torch lit hallway, Lancelot checking each door looking for any signs of Guinevere. Suddenly Lancelot became excited "Ash in here!" he exclaimed grabbing him by the collar he pulled Ash inside. "Did you find May!?" Ash exclaimed "Maybe," Lancelot said walking further inside the room.
Inside the room were rows of cells, walking down and examining each one Ash found them to contain Pokémon. Three Pokémon, to be exact a Glaceon, Blaziken, and Beautifly "Lancelot these are May's Pokémon," Ash said approaching the cell were a bound Blaziken stood. Its hands had been chained to the wall with steel cuffs around its wrist its legs had also been double locked with steel chains and bolted to the wall. The Blaziken looking up at Ash didn't seem to recognize him at first since he was dressed in a Team Rocket uniform but once Ash took off the black beret and removed the black scarf that covered his face, the Blaziken relaxed. "We're going to get you out of here," Ash said the Blaziken nodded in acknowledgement.
Beside each cell was the individual Pokeball for each Pokémon "Lancelot," Ash said "Free Glaceon and Beautifly, I'll get Blaziken," Lancelot agreed and using his Aura broke the locks to each of the cages. Ash took out his gloves and sliding them over his arms held one forward. Creating a small sphere he launched it forward shattering the lock on the door, then grabbing the Pokeball he walked inside and returned the Pokémon. Ash placed the Pokeball inside one of his vest Pockets along with the other two Pokeball's that Lancelot gave him. Now having all three Pokémon Ash and Lancelot returned to the hallway and continued their search. Each room they checked after words came up empty until reaching the end of the hallway.
At the end of the hallway they came to a large wooden door with the sign that read Authorized Personal Only. "I think we qualify," Ash said opening the door. Lying behind the door was a large stone spiral stair case quickly Lancelot pushed Ash inside and shut the door behind them. Both of them sprinted up the stairs trying to reach the top first. Reaching the top of the stairs they reached a door way that led to another hallway with a large window running along its side overlooking the city. "Come on," Lancelot said hurriedly walking down the hallway.
As they walked they came to two armed guards standing in front two doors. Lancelot and Ash exchanged looks before walking up to them. "Excuse me gents, I was wondering if you could tell me where the prisoners are at," Ash asked taking a step forward. "There in here," The guard on the right said "Ah thank you my good sir," Ash said trying to walk past the guard. The guard pushed him back with his hand "Sorry you need Authorization before we let you in." The guard said. Ash turned to Lancelot "Did you hear that, we need Authorization," Ash turned back to the guard "Here's my Authorization," Ash said punching the guard in the face. The other guard immediately raised his gun at Ash, but was quickly disarmed and thrown to the side by Lancelot. Ash stepped over the guard and opened the door.
"May!" Ash yelled running inside. "Over here!" he heard May's voice yell, Ash sprinted over to where May was. He found her kneeling beside the cell bars holding the ribbon in her hands "Oh my god Ash it's you, you came to rescue me!" she exclaimed with tears of joy in her eyes. Ash held out his hand and generating a sphere exploded it against the lock shattering it to little pieces and throwing the cell door open.
Ignoring the pain in her ankle May threw her arms around Ash crying "You…actually came." She said between sniffles Ash smiled to himself and held her tight "Actually I just wanted my hat back," he said with grin. May let go of him and wiping the tears away from her eyes she slapped him across the face before pulling him in for a kiss. They stood there for a minute passionately kissing one another and for the moment forgetting their present situation. Suddenly May felt the pain in her ankle shoot up causing her to pull away and fall, Ash quickly held out his arm and caught her "May what's wrong?" He asked "My ankle," she replied "I think it's broken." Ash swept her off her feet cradling her in his arms, and then he turned to Lancelot who, to his surprise, was kissing Guinevere on the lips both with their eyes closed.
Guinevere opened one eye and saw Ash and May watching, letting out a gasp she pushed Lancelot away from her "Lancelot we need to go," Ash said backing away, Lancelot cleared his throat and took Guinevere by the hand "Alright then go," he said pulling Guinevere behind him. Running out the room and into the hallway Ash froze "Wait what about Riley?" he said Lancelot paused for a moment "I'm sure he has the staff already i-," before Lancelot finished a loud siren began whining throughout the building and flashing lights began illuminating the hallway.
"Shit, they got Riley…" Ash said "We'll come back for him but we need to get the ladies to safety first!" Lancelot said running down the hallway, Ash reluctantly agreed following behind Lancelot. Running down the spiral staircase they creaked open the large door and saw the hallway filled with Rocket Agents running back and forth with their Pokémon by their side.
Ash quickly closed the door and turned to Lancelot who stood their thinking. Suddenly Lancelot thought of an idea and turned to Guinevere "I'm sorry my Lady but this is for the good of us all," he pulled out a small zip tie from his vest and bound Guinevere's hands together. Guinevere seemed appalled by this act but said nothing "Alright Ash, we're transferring these prisoners to another location in case the intruders try and find them, got it?" Ash nodded in agreement and looked down at May who smiled up at him. Lancelot threw the door open and shoved Guinevere through it "Sorry my lady," he whispered as he lead her down the hallway. The four made their way down the hallway without interference until they came to the end where a Rocket goon wearing a black beret with a red R and a yellow stripe going through it, signifying his rank, stopped them "Were do you think you're going?" He asked looking down at May
"Prison transfer," Ash said redirecting his attention towards himself. The man grunted at Ash "Is that so? Well I'll need to see some sort of proof of that, maybe a signature from up top or something," Ash pretended he was infuriated by the remark which wasn't really hard considering the present circumstances
"Look around you man its goddamn chaos around here!" he screamed "Do you honestly think Shadow has time to sign your damn paper! Now unless you want to piss him off and risk being hanged for disobeying an order I suggest you move out the way, bitch!" The man was stunned by the remark but nonetheless moved out the way Ash glared at him before walking past. The man glanced at Lancelot who stopped in front of him "What he said!"
The four ran out of the building and began making their way down the street that was covered with Team Rocket soldiers running towards the main building none so much as glanced at the four. They were half way down the street when the sirens stopped and the droning of an intercom came to life.
"Attention intruders or rather intruder, Ash I know it's you." The voice was Mordreds "I know you've come to rescue your little girlfriend and the lady Guinevere, but know this, I have sitting beside me a dear friend of yours who would like to say a few words." Ash cursed under his breath knowing Riley had been apprehended by Mordred, suddenly the sound of heavy breathing emitted from the speakers "I'll be fine Ash, just get May and Guinevere out of here …" Riley's voice was suddenly cut off and the sound of a punch that Ash assumed to be hitting Riley followed.
"Hear this Ash, return to the Pokémon center alone and unarmed and we'll let Riley go, don't and Riley won't live to see another winter." There was a short static then the mic cut off leaving the street in silence. Ash turned to Lancelot who was staring at him waiting to see what his next move would be. "Ash," He began Ash walked over to him and transferred May into his arms "Go to the diner and wait with Pikachu, if I'm not back in thirty minutes then I want you to take May and Guinevere to safety with the others."
May squirmed out of Lancelot's arms and hopping on one foot grabbed Ash by his shoulders "Ash please don't go!" she cried burying her face in his chest, Ash pulled her away and smiled at her, leaning in he gave her a kiss on the forehead "I promise I'll be back," he whispered May turned away from him and sobbed quietly to herself. Ash looked up at Lancelot who watched him with sorrowful eyes. "Ash please you don't need to be a hero, allow me to go instead," Ash shook his head "They only want me, not you." Guinevere stepped forward and Ash bowed his head "My lady," he said "Good luck Ash, please bring Riley back safely please." "I'll do my best," he replied before turning and running off down the street.
Ash sprinted down the street feeling an overwhelming sense of guilt for leaving Riley behind. As he ran to the Pokémon center he was confronted by four armed guards standing outside the doors. Ash approached them with his hands raised the guards raised their weapons and cocked them. Suddenly the doors to the Pokémon center opened, Ash looked up as Drew walked through. "It's been a while," he said flipping his hair to the side "Not long enough," Ash replied.
Drew snapped his fingers and immediately two of the guards bound Ash's hands behind his back. Drew followed this by punching Ash square in the face giving him a bloody nose. Ash was led through the building again and up to the top floor where he had once been, but instead of walking through the door on the right they went through the one on the left revealing a large banquet hall with a long wooden table in the middle. Placed in the center of the table was a glass jar, with a single rose placed inside, and with one pedal remaining.
At the end of the table sat Mordred and to his right was a badly beaten and bruised Riley, Riley glanced up at Ash with a disheartened look on his face. "Welcome Ash we've been waiting," Mordred said standing up to greet Ash. Drew shoved Ash forwards pointing for him to take a seat. Ash took a seat across from Riley who was dripping blood from his nose and mouth "Ash I told you not to come," Riley said raising his head "Well I owe you one anyways," Ash replied. Suddenly Drew slammed Ash's head onto the table "No talking," he said backing away. Ash's head was ringing and throbbing with pain, unable to hold his head he looked up Drew with hatred "You son of a bitch how can you do this to your friends," Drew smirked at this "You know May asked me the same question and the answer is the same, power." Suddenly Mordred stood up with the staff in his hand.
"Well seeing as how we have Ash I guess we have no further use for Squire Riley," he turned to Drew and tossed him a knife "Drew if you would do the honors," Drew looked down at the knife then glanced at Riley then back at Mordred "Don't make me tell you again," he said Drew nodded and walked around the table facing Riley.
Riley bravely looked up at Drew, who smiled down at him. Then without warning Drew rammed the knife into Riley's chest, Riley froze in his spot as the knife penetrated his body then collapsed onto the floor "NOOO, Riley!" Ash screamed standing up in his chair he tried running to his aide but was thrown to the floor by Mordred who laughed. Drew looked down at Riley who was lying motionless on the floor, then glancing back at the rose saw the final pedal fall to the floor leaving only the thorny vine.
Ash leapt to his feet and tried to charge at Drew but was restrained by Mordred "You son of a bitch!" Ash cried as he was then thrown back to the ground. Drew walked over to Ash and looked down at him without remorse "What's wrong Ash was he a close friend of yours?" he asked grinning. Ash looked up at Drew his eye's burning with pure hatred towards him "You better kill me now you son of a bitch," "I beg your pardon," Drew replied raising an eyebrow "If you don't kill me now then I swear I'll be coming for you. I will not rest and I will never be satisfied until you're dead." Drew looked at Ash uneasily.
"Well Ash unfortunately for you, you'll never get that chance." Mordred said pulling out the staff. "Hold him," Mordred ordered. Drew and another goon grabbed Ash by the arms and held him down to the floor as Mordred placed the staff against Ash's chest. The staff began glowing bright blue and vibrated violently in Mordreds hands. Ash could feel the staff ripping his Aura away from his body, the pain was excruciating unlike the last time. Ash cried out in pain trying to fight the hold that Drew and the other man had on him, but no matter what he could not free himself. After what seemed like an endless amount of time his Aura was completely ripped from his body Ash nearly blacked out from the pain.
Placing the staff onto his chest Mordred absorbed the Aura into him; he tested out his new found power by generating a sphere of Aura and launching it against the wall. The sphere exploded against the wall shaking the foundation of the building and leaving behind a gaping hole. Mordred cried out with joy. "Now to Camelot!" he exclaimed. Ash was panting deeply and was still suffering in agony as he watched Mordred approach him. Taking a knee beside him Mordred smiled with uttermost joy "You know after all this time chasing you down and trying to catch you, I honestly thought that I would really enjoy killing you. But I think that right is reserved for Drew," Mordred stood back up and turned to Drew "It's time to mobilize the army, I'll be taking my leave and you can take your time if you want, but no longer than a few hours." Then looking down at Ash he smiled "First stop Viridian City," Then without another word he exited the room followed by two of his guards.
The only people remaining in the room were two Team Rocket guards their Houndoom and Drew. Drew picked Ash up by his feet and threw him against the wall "So you swear you're going to kill me huh!" he screamed punching him the gut "Well you see Ash that's a problem cause I'm going to kill you first." He said punching Ash in the jaw with such force it felt as if he had broken his jaw. Ash slumped to the floor, his body screaming with pain.
Suddenly Ash heard the clicking sound of a switchblade being opened looking up he saw Drew approaching him with it. Kneeling down beside Ash, Drew lifted the knife up in the air and was about to swing it down when the door on the right suddenly busted open. A Tauros charged in knocking out one of the Houndoom and ramming its owner against the wall, confusion ensued when suddenly a sphere of Aura blasted one of the guards. "Houndoom use Flamethrower!" Ash heard Drew yell followed by a high pitched yelping sound. Looking over to the door Ash saw Lancelot's Arcanine had used bite and was now savagely shaking the much smaller Houndoom in its mouth. Ash looked over at Drew who slowly backed away then taking one last look at Ash bolted out the nearest door.
"Coward…" Ash said quietly. Once the smoke cleared Lancelot ran inside and went to Ash and helped return him back onto his feet. Once back on his feet Ash ignored Lancelot and went to Riley's aide. Knocking over the chairs in his way Ash knelt down beside Riley and held him in his arms. Putting an ear to his chest and found he was still breathing but just barely "Riley wake up," Ash said choking back his tears slowly Riley opened his eyes and saw Ash standing over him. His eyes widened at Ash "You- Your Aura, it's gone…" he said trailing off.
"Yea, but don't worry about that right now, I'm gonna get you out of here," Ash said trying to lift Riley up, Riley cried out in pain and begged Ash to set him down. Ash obliged and lowered him back to the ground, Riley reached up and grabbing Ash by the collar pulled him close to him "Ash I know I don't have much time," he said "Riley I'm not going to let you die here," Ash said shaking his head "Ash it's ok I know I'm going to die, but before I do I need you to take my Aura." Ash shook his head "You're going to need that Aura when you get better," Ash replied unable to hold back his tears, Riley put a hand to his chest.
His hand glowed as he began transferring his Aura into Ash, Ash could feel his strength return to him as he gained Riley's Aura. Riley winched in pain as the last of his Aura left him then let his head fall back in exhaustion. Ash looked down at Riley who looked back up at him and smiled "Make sure Meredith finds safety along with her family and Lucario tell him I'm sorry that I didn't bring him with me but that it was for the best." Ash nodded solemnly.
Riley looked at Ash one last time before closing his eyes, and letting out one final breath died in Ash's arms.
Ash's eyes welled up with tears and without caring where he was he began sobbing over Riley. He sat there with tears streaming off his face until Lancelot placed a hand on his shoulder. Ash looked up at him "Once we get out of here we will give him a Guardians funeral," he said in a stiff voice. Ash nodded and picked up Riley's limp body.
Ash placed Riley's body over the Tauros and covered it with one of spare blankets, before getting on. After Lancelot mounted his Arcanine the two bolted down the hallway. "How do you plan on getting through to the bottom floor," Ash asked as the two Pokémon sprinted down the hallway. Lancelot glanced back without uttering a word before turning back around. The door that was standing before them was shredded to pieces by Lancelot's Arcanine. Reaching the bottom floor Lancelot began shooting his Aura wildly, creating a mass of confusion between the guards and allowing them enough time to exit the building and arrive onto the street.
Both Pokémon charged with unmatched speed down the cracked road, arriving at the diner Lancelot returned the two Pokémon. Ash carried Riley's covered body inside the diner behind Lancelot. Guinevere who had been seated in one of the booths across from May jumped up at the sight. Running over to Ash she began weeping for the fallen Knight.
"We have much riding to do we must leave now," Lancelot said shedding his Team Rocket uniform and retrieving his usual clothes. Ash set Riley down on one of the tables and looked down at him solemnly. "Ash!" Lancelot said snapping Ash back to the present moment, Ash turned to see him tossing him his leather jacket and pants.
Ash quickly changed back into his clothes and retrieving his sword placed it against his side as Pikachu jumped onto his shoulder. Lancelot retrieved Riley's clothing and his single Pokeball. "We need to get moving Guinevere you shall ride with me Ash, May you two can ride together and Riley can take the Tauros." Ash didn't argue instead he walked over to May who had been quietly resting in one of the booths Ash gently touched her on the shoulder. Slowly she opened her eyes and smiled as she saw Ash standing over her.
"Let's get the hell out of here," He said sweeping her off her feet again. After everybody was placed on their Pokémon they took off over the large hill that overlooked the city. Lancelot halted upon reaching the top and turned to take one last look at the city. An ominous site filled the group's eyes. Columns of tanks were rolling out of the front gates of the city with groups of Team Rocket Goons each with their Pokémon and Rifles marching out behind them.
Ash looked at the columns of tanks with fear filling his heart. There was a sudden screeching noise and casting a shadow over the tanks flew an unmistakable green Flygon with a single trainer riding it. "Mordred has declared his war upon Camelot… God help us all,"
